Me, My registration visit went well last week and I'm finding the clinic staff very nice and supportive. I'm starting my Synarel spray this evening but admit I'm feeling slightly apprehensive about it. At this stage I think I'm mostly nervous about forgetting doses and messing everything up. I am going to put an alarm on my mobile (if I can work out how) to try to help me remember.

Well I am back from my PU and they managed to get 10 eggs which is great. I don't remember anything besides a bit of small talk when I went in and then in recovery. I feel a bit sore but other than that all went well and we'll see what tomorrow brings.

Allie good luck with the synarel. I was a bit apprehensive as well but you get used to it. You are not far behind us.

Jade how is the wait going? I wish you luck for Monday.

Hi everyone

Gosh it's been so long since I posted. Silly computer was in the repair shop for over 2 weeks.

I have lost where everyone is up to and will get caught up soon. I see there are a few new faces as well. I won't attempt personals today as I am a bit out of touch.

Well we had some good news. DH had his follow up with the andrologist and his varicocele procedure was a huge success. His sperm count is quite normal now (actually it spins me out how high it is) and he only has 50% abnormalities. So anyone thinking about getting varicoceles fixed I would give it a big thumbs up. But we are still not pregnant so I am off to see my new FS on tuesday still. So we'll see what happens there, at least we only have to worry about my endo which I always knew we would as opposed to his and hers problems.

I hope everyone is well. Best of luck to everyone having pickups and transfers this week, I'll be thinking of you all.

Yehhh for Jano and DH.......This is such a positive thing hun!!! Now it looks like you and I are both in same situation, our DHs are good it is just you and i with the endo..... wicked stuff that it is... I had my period the other day, (obviously no luck for us this month just gone) and wow, i only took two panandol!!! I can't remember how long it has been since it felt like this!! I don't think natural conception for DH and I will happen for a while, thats if it is going to happen, as my body is still healing... but i am getting there!!!!

Leis - I was thinking of you when we found out trying to remember how long you are going to try yourselves before getting help again. I think we should give it a good run by ourselves and see how we go but will wait to see what the FS says on Tuesday. Talk about blow me over with a feather I just about went into shock, DH made him repeat the results as we thought he was joking.

Jano, originally i thought about 12 months but now i am thinking 8... to 6?? I don't know the change??? I do think i have luteal phase defect. I ovulate and then 9-10 days later i get my period, which to me and according to my research shows my progesterone is low. So i am going to see me GP and get some day 21 bloods done. I was even thinking about going on clomid and met?? I will see how the bloods come back and go and see Coopsy again soon, he is back from his holiday so i will go and chat with him..I just really want to avoid having to go through IVF again, although i do know if we had to go there again, we would have alot better chance due to the endo removal. And if i am having no pain during my period that has to mean good things??? Any ideas hun for me???

Well you all know the story of me with my SIL and her pregnancy, well, she had a little boy on Thursday night, and he is absolutely gorgeous. All of the ill feelings i had at the start of her pregnancy have totally disappeared, and i am the proudest aunt on the planet. His name is Ryan Glenn and he was 7lb 9. He has a little blonde mullet and is soooo cute.

Well that's it for me.....it's time for ANOTHER visit i think...

Hi all,

Well we are back from the transfer and boy is it weird. I don't know whether I should lay down or continue as normal.

The embryo that they put back in was multiplying well( 5 cells) so hopefully it will continue to. I felt a bit rushed though when I was there. While I was getting changed into the gown before the transfer he was telling me how many fertilised through the curtain where it would have been nice if he waited. Anyway he told me that 7 fertilised but 4 were abnormal which I heard DH ask why and all I heard was sometimes that happens. I would have liked to talk to him about that because it might shed some light on why we are having difficulty falling pregnant. Well I got on the chair and we saw on the screen our little embryo so I was distracted. It was all very quick and now it is a waiting game. I am excited and nervous.

How are you Jade? We will more than likely be doing our pregnacy test on the same day. I am crossing all my fingers for both of us.


Well it's back to the couch for me.

Well transer went well we had two blatocysts and they also think that some of the others will make it to blatocyst stage as well. We opted to transfer one blatocyst. I was very emotional :crying: through the procedure and it seeing the embryo on the screen made it all so real. I am ok now I think it was just such a build up to get where we were today. So as DH all we can do is wait and I said what's another 11 days when it's almost been 2 years. I am aiming to keep myself busy for the next 11 days.

They are going to freeze the remaining two. I am like you I am just going to take it easy over the next two weeks. My Blood test is on the 31st of July.

I still would have liked to talk to him a little bit more regarding the meaning of abnormal but maybe I will wait till the 2 weeks are over.

Linda - How are you feeling?

Well I had some sharp shooting pains on my left and right side so don't know whether that is a good sign or not. Does anyone know how long it takes a blastocyst to hatch and implant????????

Jade I also had sharp apians on both side. My Dr said it was related to the ovaries after all the drugs etc just settling down.

Have been lurking for a little while. Graduated from the clomid thread late last year but went MIA.
I am on my second round of IVF. Unfortunately DH & I are undergoing another long stimulated cycle. We didn't get any little frozen babies last time.

Just a question - anyone experienced delayed AF while on Synarel. I am 6 days overdue (unfortunately not PG - did the blood test in hope). Although I do think AF is on her way. Can't think of a time I was actually excited for her to show her ugly head!!! Means I can get on with this cycle....

I haven't been in here much lately as I have been trying not to focus on the AC side of things too much for a couple of months, but now we're ready to get going. We're booking in for our preliminary tests we were referred for by our FS and we'll go from there. I've been told things move fairly quickly, so I hope I'm ready.
I have been temping this month and I am so frustrated as I had a big temp dip today at 7DPO. It's happened before and it always gets my hopes up that it's implantation. :(

I will go and try and catch up on things in here now! :)

Hi Guys...

I stopped sniffing Syranel the day of my trigger shot in June and i still got my AF on day 26 rather than day 29 which made my LP only 12 days...so my cycle got shorter not longer!! Which is a worry as my cycle is usually 28 days...the last 3 have been 25-27-26...and i always always got them on day 29...are any of you guys that regular and all of sudden consistently irregular? At least i dont have to wait too much longer for IVF#2 to start!! :) Thank you very much for welcoming me to the group you guys, mwah!!

So sorry I've been MIA girls ... the last few weeks have been absolutely hectic for me, and I've barely had time to jump on the 'puter.

I just wanted to quickly let everybody know that our FET cycle won't be going ahead this month ... the timing wasn't quite right. I had a scan this morning, and would have been ready for the ET about Monday, but I'm flying to Sydney on Saturday for a week, so it just wouldn't have worked out. And I didn't want to run the risk of 'wasting' my precious embryos on a cycle that wasn't optimal IYKWIM. So we're doing IUI instead, tomorrow. I had the trigger shot today (ouchies!) and we have an early morning appt with the clinic tomorrow morning. It's a long shot, but I felt that it was a better option than going ahead with the FET at this stage.

Does anybody know if IUI is ever successful in men with very low sperm counts (<1 million)? I'm thinking it's highly unlikely, but would be very happy for anybody to prove me wrong :)

Thinking of you all, and hoping that the next two weeks speed by.

Well a week from today I have my blood test. I am not feeling overly confident at the moment I do not feel any different and maybe I am just trying to protect myself IYKWIM. I would like to test before the blood test any idea when I start to POAS?????????

Hey Megan - my last IVF cycle only had a short LP too. I started spotting at about day 12 too and then almost too the hour of my ET AF showed up. DOH!!! I don't think that cycle was to do with the synarel though - cause I have started synarel in prep for another IVF and AF showed up 7 days late. So I think that my cycles are messed up because of the drugs in general....perhaps other ladies have had the same problem as yourself!!

I'm pretty sure it's the trigger injection, which is hcg, and the same hormone that pregnancy tests test for. It's only really a problem if you test too early .... which was good for me because it stopped me spending a fortune on HPT last cycle ;)

:hello: all...I have been mia for some time now, as I didn't want to bring everyone down...fell into a bit of a slump after our first IVF attempt failed....well, back up there now. Doing a natural FET cycle, which is soooo much more sane and less stressful.
I wish all of you well. I have faith that there will be at least a few BFP's here soon!

Nice to have you back. I know what you mean about falling in a bit of a slump - it's sort of a letdown when you've had all your hopes built up around the first cycle working. I wish you all the best with your FET cycle.

Thanks Cherie..yes you're right. I thought we were being sensible about IVF working first go, but then boy did I tumble. Interestingly, the dr also thought that we would have had first time success, although, he didn't say so until our review appt afterwards. So, back on the rollercoaster that is assisted conception! I feel more accepting of the reality that it very well may not work, and then we face a decision about where to from there? For us, the end of the year is my deadline.....then what will be, will be (says me now, but surely to change my mind a hundred times over!)

Me - well same old same old here. Nothing new to report. Am now up to CD90 (why do i have the feeling that this is the longest one yet?). What's the bet that AF shows up on Saturday when i have a huge Reunion Dinner to go to for our Footy Club. That would be just my luck hey....and being one of the organisers, it's not like i can just go home coz i feel like crap!!!. Oh well....the way it's going, i don't think she'll show her head. I'm refusing to buy any more HPT's, but i sent off for a lullaby one, but am still waiting for it in the mail, so i might use that when i get it.

Shan - hi honey, IKWYM in regards to AF - mine has not shown itself either, I'm on cycle day 50 or something to that effect!!! Waiting patiently though cause we want to go ahead with our FET when AF finally decides to make an appearance.

Quick question: If AF does not show up in the next 3 weeks or so...what happens if I want to go ahead with my FET. Is there an option of bringing on AF (ie; with provera or similar) and will that have an effect on the FET cycle, or do I really have to wait until she shows up herself, because that could mean I have to sit here for another few months lol !!!!:doh:

Hi Alex...i can't see how bringing on AF would effect your FET. I know when i had to take Primolut to bring on AF, I asked if it would effect my cycles or anything, and they just said that the primolut mimicks the last 7 days of your cycle with hormones etc, and once you stop it after 7 days, AF will arrive and it will just shed your lining like in a normal cycle, so i don't think it will effect your FET (but someone please speak up if i am wrong!!!)

ok guys...i was being all patient and sane seen as how i had to have a rest cycle for July, but I"M REALLY STARTING TO GET NERVOUS... I am day 26 and can feel AF coming. Last cycle in June (which got cancelled because i only made two eggs) i was on 150ui of GF and this time i will be on 300 ui... how many eggs is usual on this stuff??? i mean i want plenty of eggs this time. I've been searching the net and some women get 16 eggs on 150 ui and i only made 2!! So now i'm wondering if i will only make 4 or was it a once off and i will make 50 eggs because i am going on such a high dose!! Please girls i need to know how many eggs others made...

Sorry Megan....can't help you out with this one. Hope the other girls who have been through it can...

Megan - it is absolutely impossible to say how well you will respond and how many eggs you will get. I am an over-responder .... never any less than 40 follicles on 75ui (mind you that doesnt mean an egg in every follicle), the most eggs I have had was 26. But one thing to keep in mind, having so many can often reduce the quality of them - so to have 10-12 is apparently more ideal.
