Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception - May #2

Good morning lovely ladies,

Hope you are all having a good day. EPU went well yesterday. 11 eggs- same as last time. Clinic called this morning and all 11 fertilised. Am over the moon with this result.

We are aiming for a transfer on Mon. FS has decided on all going to blastie hopefully. If things aren't going well then transfer on Fri. Would much prefer blastie as this is how I fell pg last time but sadly lost my little one.

Had terrible pain yesterday. Still not good today but was exactly the same for me last time too.

Janie- Hope TF went well today and that you have some embies to freeze. Let us know how you are going.

Well I am now officially in the TWW. Transfer went really well... so I now have on board a 2 day, 4 cell beautiful embie! I'm so in love already after seeing it on the screen. We also managed to get 6-7 to freeze, so all round my FS was thrilled with the result. Starting on the Crinone tonight and apart from that waiting for blood test on 11/06/2008.

Had another BT & scan this morning, my body is still being crappy, I have on my left side, 15,15,14.5,12,12,10,10 and 8 < 10, and on my right ovary 15, 15, 11 and 15 < 10mm. I'm really disappointed with this cycle already, and have been quite emotional the last couple of days. EPU has been pushed back to Monday (Public Holiday). Honestly I just want it all over with. If this cycle doesn't work we will be taking a couple of months off and starting again in August/September, I just can't cope with everything.

Smithy- Isn't it crazy that we get excited at the thought of that trigger injection and the operation to come?? Hoping you get a good number of eggs on Fri.

I am so p!55ed off with the clinic.:angry: I dragged myself out of bed at 5.30am to make the trip into the clinic before work. It is now 6.10pm and i have not had my call from the nurse with my instructions. I rang them at 4pm because I have always heard from them by then and they were all in a meeting and that they would be doing their calls later. I tried again at 5.45pm and got the answering machine. I was hoping to trigger tonight if this cycle goes wrong because they didn't call i will be demanding a refund.

By the way I have one folicle that has grown about 17mm so trigger should be soon.

Well I have been getting some postive BT results lately I had a BT on Wed 21st and the results were that my FS believed that I would be O'ing on Sat 24th and for my BF and I to BD on Fri, Sat, and Sun then another BT on Mon so I got my results on Tues day and again my FS believed that I was very close to O'ing and for BF and I to BD on Tue,Wed and Thur then another BT on Thursday I am really hopeful that this may be our month although I am also trying to not get my hopes up too much as I don't want to be disappointed if it doesn't work.
Oh well good luck to all you ladies out there that have a glimmer of hope and may all our dreams happen this month hope to see lots of BFP's soon.

Well, I'm back in here. I do remember some of you from a few months ago when I was here last.
I was one of the lucky ones to get my longed for BFP (via OI/IUI) and even luckier to find out we were expecting twins. Sadly, we lost our precious babies at 8.5 and 9 weeks.
So, back on the old TTC rollercoaster. Not really where I want to be but trying to stay positive.
We will be doing OI/IUI again. Should have been starting puregon tonight or tomorrow but BT today showed i still have some HCG left over from the m/c ( over 8weeks ago now!!) so have to have another BT on friday and hopefully will be all a go from there.
Everyone in here are such brave and strong women and I feel grateful I can at least share the journey with those who will understand. Hopefully we can all make a mass exit from this thread!!
Forgive me if it takes me a little while to get a grip with where everyone is at. I will attempt to do personals as Soon as i catch up!

Two weeks have finally passed, my blood test is tomorrow and I'm late... I just won't get my hopes up because it's let me down before.

well hi all, i had a day out of the house today, basically first time i've been out all week. went to docs yesterday and had test done just in case, BFN. not surprising but anyway i got low iron from all the bleeding and still feel crappy, i've still got a slight pain in left side like a mild stitch, it's been there since i had eggs collected. doc says prob bruising and swelling. anyway i don't know when back to see fs but will be calling clinic fri to confirm BFN and loss.
Bel: good job on all fertilised, hope your tfer goes well.
Smithy:hope that trigger wasn't too painfull, hoping your egg retrieval goes well, bit scary but do take it easy as i think i just did too much aft .thinking of you and hoping all goes well 4 u.
janie: good numbers for froz bubs, count down to testing.......waiting .........just waiting.....

Well update on the clinic. Rang them first thing this morning because I didn't even know how much puregon to take today. The reason they didn't ring was because they had lost my BT results. So quickly had to go and have a blood test this morning. Then got a phone call from the pathology for yesterdays results. It has all turned out okay in the end I am almost about the have my LH surge so another blood test tomorrow.

Hope everyones day has been good. Today is DH's birthday so I've been showering him with love!

Have had such terrible pain today. Feel like I have gas trapped up to my ribs. Called the clinic and was told this is normal, from having swollen and bruised ovaries. Have started on a lovely laxative to help things along!!

Great news on my embies. All 11 have divided overnight. 8 are 4 cells and 3 are 2 cells so transfer is definately on Monday now. Will find out in the morning how the little ones went overnight.

Smithy- Good luck for EPU tomorrow. Will be waiting to hear how you go.

Saph- I'm glad you finally have everything sorted out with your clinic. I would have been FUMING! I don't know how you held it together with them but all my respect goes to you for dealing with such a hard situation so well. I'm thinking of you.

WishingBaby- Good luck with everything. Make sure you hang around here with these amazing supportive ladies.

Meredith D- I am so so sorry to hear of your loss. Unfortunately like so many of us here, I know what you are going through. For me after my losses the best thing was to keep moving forward and focusing on the baby I so desire. I hope I can be of some support to you.

Janet- Stay strong. I'm sorry to hear of your BFN. Look after yourself and get your strength up again and move forward when you are ready to.

BecD - I hear you with the ovaries with their own minds:doh: I have now been injecting for 26 Days hopefully tomorrow will be the day for both of us. MY one folly was at 17mm on Wed so hopefully it is up around the 19-20 by tomorrow.

Marsha- No I am not taking anything to stop ovulation as I am not doing IVF.

I have lots of positive thoughts for everyone's attempts this cycle!!!

My injections were extended to 12 days, and my follicle numbers improved. I went from 5 to 20. EPU was on Thursday morning, and they got 14 eggs. I am excited about the numbers, since that means a day 5 transfer if everything goes well.

I did have a question. I am having a large amount of pain and I feel like I'm very distended with gas. Is there anything you ladies who have been through this (EPU) know that can help? I've had Panadiene Forte and hot water bottles going since the procedure and the pain is abating, but the distension isn't. I feel like a cartoon character.

RustyBeth - Try lemonade sweet and as horrid as it sounds moving the more you lay down the further the gas goes up to your rib cage

RustyBeth- I had EPU on Tues and also have had terrible pain and felt like I had gas up to my ribs. I join you in looking like a cartoon character! My clinic recommended drinking lots of water, as did a good friend of mine who has been through this before. Also my clinic recommended I try agarol- it's a mild laxative which tastes revolting but I think is moving a bit of what is built up in me. Maybe just call your clinic and ask if you can take it but I would recommend it. Apparently the drugs can cause gas and even constipation. My wheat pack has been constantly on my tummy too which I find helps a lot. Hope this helps a bit.

Tigger Linda- Great news about moving on to your next cycle. Have an amazing night at Twin Waters. Have a yummy dinner and enjoy your time relaxing and TRY not to think about TTC...I know easier said than done..

As for me..the clinic called and my little ones are going good. 10 of the 11 are still going. 2 are slow..1 is 3 cells and 1 is 4 cells, but our other 8 are all 8 cells. So fingers crossed that they keep going for Monday which will be day 6. The embryologist said she will be happy if 5 make it. That will give us 3 to freeze.

well i phoned clinic again today as this was the day i was supposed to test. i also went to docs the other day as feeling so low and tired anyway i got really low iron levels and am on more pills now. can you believe it? anyway i'm having a break and when i next start af have to phone clinic and make time for froz tfer. i'm doing 2 as then if i lose one i may still have a chance with the other. this is 4 mc now and i am going to do everything i can to make odds in my favour.

Yeah Finally trigger tonight. So will be now joining the TWW. Kind of hope the pain eases up but then hope it doesn't as they always say that it is a good sign. Thanks girls for all the support I dont think I would have made it without you. Set a new record injecting for 26days and trigger at day 28. I am so excited.:lol::dance:

:dance::dance:so EPU today and im thrilled to let you no i got 9 eggies and am so excited i cant believe it first time we only got 2,im still in shock.
the day went ok but poor old dh had to have a testy biopsy and we are now doing icsi so i feel heaps better and cant wait till tomorrow to see how my babys are going

Well my scan actually went better than expected today.
Todays scan:
Left ovary (mm) 19, 17, 16, 15, 15, 13.5, 13, 12, 10, 10, 9 < 10mm
Right ovary (mm) 19, 14, 13, 12, 11, 11, 14 < 10mm
Endo 10.6mm, Estrogen 5500

So while it's still not going to be a huge number of mature eggs at EPU, there hopefully will be enough. The other suggestion the nurse made was to collect the immature eggs as well and do IVM on them to give us an extra shot at getting some embryos to freeze. My FS has agreed, just need to speak to the embryologist on the day about it. EPU has been booked in for 9am Tuesday morning, trigger 9pm Sunday night.

Its busy in here - lets hope we get some BFPS from all the embies that are currently growing!'

Saph - Oh, its so exciting to get to trigger day. Heres hoping that eggie is a great one!

Bel - thanks for the welcome! I'm hoping both of us don't have to go through any more losses. Its been 4 angels for me now and I just don't want to kill any more babies!

Well, follow up bloods today - HCG hasn't changed but cos it hasn't gone up (as if!) they are letting me start this cycle - yay! So back into it tonight and first scan next friday. Hoping for a short cycle this time.

Meredith- I've decided for me..no more losses. THAT"S IT!! When I get a BFP in 2 weeks it will mean a baby is coming in 9 months...NO IFS OR BUTS. Same for you!

So my daily update. Of my 11, 10 still growing. Today is day 4 for my little ones. 1 is 5 cells so probably out, 1 is 8 cells- so a day behind, and the other 8 are blobs now- too many cells to count. How blessed would I be to have all 8 little blobs make it to Mon. That would mean 6 in the freezer. Man that would be exciting. Fingers crossed though for 2 little ones to make it for transfer.
