Just a reminder to all: all LTers love seeing a fellow LTer achieve that longed-for BFP, and we all find hope in one of our own having success in this difficult journey. But please remember that there are those who cycled with you who may not have received good news at the end of their cycle. Please do not post baby/child/pg tickers or pg related signatures (eg blinking BFP icons) etc in this forum out of respect for them.

As For me Well not much happening here the swelling from LAP seems to have gone down so we are making sure we DTD every 2nd night now till I see the FS on the 4th June so weird having this date as the 4th July last year we found out that we had a lil bean on board so going to be a bit scary... But I doubt the surgery would have worked straight away so will prob have to wait to see FS and her to tell me when and if I shall O....
Hey to everybody else I have missed hope you are all doing xxoo
Hi all![]()
I had an ultrasound today and have 10 nice follies. I'm triggerred tonight (1:30am! - poor hubby will have to be woken to give it to me) and have EC on Wednesday. This is the point where I get nervous, but fingers crossed I'll be better than last time.
At the risk of being that annoying person constantly asking questions-I was told today that my "levels were quite high" and to make sure I drink lots of water. As I had doorbells ringing and dogs barking I didnt ask any more about this. But of course now I'm worrying about it. Any clues as to what exactly this refers to (I'm on puregon and syneryl)?
Miss K I hope your surgey was a success! Will look forward to updates.
Where is everyone else up to? I hope everyone is well
Spring and Boc - nice jokes but Lionfish made me laugh harder by getting Bocs joke mixed up!![]()

Misty Thanks hunny! Drink lots of water to prevent OHSS thats what they may meanI could be wrong so don't quote me on it and also have alot of foods high in protein, Though thats what they said to me after I was injecting FSH and had high hormone levels xo Oh and 10 follicles how good!!
Hi Girls, Thanks for welcoming me here!
It's great to have all your support! I'm just trying to understand each part of the cycle each of you are...
Misty77, How exciting!! I am actually not sure about your question... but I remember the nurse telling me after my last EPU that I had to keep fluids up because they extract a lot of liquid from each follicle...
Me: I've been on FSH for the last 5 days and today started to feel very very bloated! Hopefully will have few good eggs this time!
I have myfor everyone!
Misty, I believe they are referring to the number of follies you have. They have you drink lots of water to reduce the risk of OHSS (ovarian hyper stimulation syndrome). This is when your little belly swells up full of liquid, you are putting on weight, you have strong pain in the abdominal area , quickly and you become dehydrated. Another symtom is that you are not passing urine. This often happens when you produce lots of follies. Severe cases require hospitalisation, but this is quite rare. I should know, I was hospitalised twice in one cycle last year. If you get a chance, ask FS for some info on it. They will have some handy that can explain it better than I can. I hope I haven't startled you, severe cases are very rare, normally when you have 20, 30 or even more follies. Good luck sweets!
Thanks girls for the replies. It is so nice to know you're all out there.![]()
Spring- I just realised from your signature that you had two embies transferred recently, best of luck!
Keep up the updates all!

Hi Ho Ladies,
Hope all is well in TTC land, I'm liking all the laughing in here! Hope everyone is popping, sniffing and jabbing away happily.
Synarel never made me fuzzy, but it did make me very, very ill for the first three days (think worst hangover of your life).
AFM - Well, I'm crusin' over to the TWW thread. I have one "9 out of 10, text book perfect" 8 cell embie on board. Yes things looked grim yesterday morning, however when I arrived for ET today the scientist told me that I had one perfect embie. The little rasberry had rallied overnight and was looking spectacular!! The other two were no good for ET or for freezing, she told me that they were very abnormal and she thinks it's due to the poor quality of DP's frozen TESA sperm (apparently they thawed very poorly). She even said that if this does not work () and we decide to try again that we should not use the vial he still has frozen. Easier said than done when he is on the other side of the world, but I will cross that bridge when I get to it.
For now I'm chillin' on accupuncture and panadine forte.............
Mell...................Catch you in the TWW Lionfish..........

Mell- How did the transfer go?
Spring-
MissK- Hi, I'm sniffing away. Are you charting to get info about whether you might be ovulating?
Misty- GL with the trigger.OHSS stays away.
Quick synarel Q- While sniffing tonight I got a real bad burning feeling in the back of my throat (separate to the bad taste thing). This is the first time it has happened? Has anyone else experienced it? Could it be that this is the first time I did it properly? I hope notAlso the bad taste came on after 2 minutes, usually it's closer to five. I'm over analyzing, right? ...sorry for the carry on.
Mel that sounds great. GL and lots offor you too!
Sandygirl - Synarel burnt the back of my nose all the time and it worked no probs. Sometimes i got the bitter taste immediately, sometimes after 5 minutes, sometimes not at all, and i was well and truely suppressed so i dont think you need to worry.
Mell................
Mell good luck and I'll hopefully join you later on the 2ww.
Sandy girl- I have that burning thing all the time! It's worse if you lay down afterwards. I wouldn't worry about whether you get it or not. I find sometimes I get the bad taste very badly, sometimes not, sometimes I get like a cold stuffy nose feeling, and sometimes I get the burning - it can vary.![]()

yeeeeehhhhaaaaaa I'm back in!!! AF FINALLY arrived today and I'm in for a BT and scan tomorrow morning! It's my first IVF cycle (after IUI's) and I'm pretty pumped (well until the drugs kick in anyway). I've been pumping Synarel and apart from the bad taste I'm ok with it......however remembering to take it is more of an issue!! Wishing everyone lots and lots of luck!
Mrs P.....I'm not far behind you!
Hi ladies, may I join you? I'm currently doing IVF#3 and expecting EPU at the end of next week.
Misty, I was wondering if the levels they referred to were your E2 levels? Did you have a blood test that they may have been referring to? An elevated E2 level can indicate likelihood of OHSS. GL on Wednesday.
Baby2Bee, I have multiple alarms set on my mobile to make sure I remember. It's so hard to remember anything through the brain fog it causes.Even with the alarms I managed to take one dose about 3 hours late last cycle. GL with your cycle.

Hi ladies,
Jumping back in to the LTTTC tread. I am feeling rather frustrated at the moment. Why does everything seem to take so long in TTC land!
We recently had our seconn BFN from IUI, and am looking at a laproscopy prior to heading to IVF. The ladies at the clinic promised me a quick appointment with our FS but then told me it will be 4 weeks wait.... then I will have to book in and wait for my laproscopy... then I am not sure how long I will nedd to recover from this berfore we can finally begin IVF.... it is so frustrating.
I just want to move forward and feel like I am progressing with the journey rather than waiting aroung all the time....
Can anyone tell me how long the recovery is after a laproscopy? How long do you have to wait before you can consider moving ahead with IVF?
thanks
