Hi Girls, ....:help: Thanks for all good vibes but not too good news on my scan today... Went to the clinic this morning and at this stage I have 16 follies, which is a bit too many as per my FS's opinion, and puts me on great risk of OHSS... FS wanted to cancel my cycle... NOOOOOOOO! :wall:.
After a conversation FS gave me a chance until Monday for a second scan... changed my FSH to 125IU (instead the 150 IU)...
I'm very very upset and I don't know what to think about it...????? :dunno:
If I have more follies by Monday it's definatelly cancelled :(. But if I have the same 16 follies it will be mine and DH's decision to go ahead or not.... What do we do????
and another thing... If we decide to continue the cycle, FS is going to freeze all fertilized embryos and not proceed with fresh transfer...
That old little question has been back in my mind: "why me????"
sorry no personals today... but I have all my heart and fingers crossed for you all!!:crossfingers:
Welcome Tiggerlinda!
Esperen I'm so sorry to hear your news. I dont have a great deal of experience in this area but I have heard of people h?ving more follies than you and have continued, in fact I thought my own were a very low numbers (10 large, 5 small). How are you feeling physically, well or unwell? Perhaps how your feeling after your next scan will decide if you proceed if you have the 16 follies still? And if you do go ahead and freeze dont worry because you will soon be able to do a frozen transfer and won't have all the IVF med hassles. I really feel for you lovely and am sending good vibes. :comfort:
Thanks Misty77!
I know... I've heard so many other cases of 30, 40 and 60 follicles...
But is 16 too many??
I guess if FS is concern makes me think twice...
I'm feeling ok, but bloated and my tummy is bigger than normal... I'm trying to drink lots of water...
Espren - My very first IVF cycles we had 20 follies which is borderline did the FS mention any small ones?
Hi tiggerlinda,
FS said there's 3 big ones on my left ovary, most of them are average size and some small ones as well... I've been feeling very very bloated...
i didn't want to cancel the cycle but I've been reading about OHSS on internet and I'm getting worried...
hopefully the number of follies will not increase by Monday...:crossfingers:
Drink heaps sweetie gatorade has also been suggested in the past to me
Esperan - Darling it's a case by case basis. I had 21 follies. I was told I might suffer from OHSS but they said I should be fine to proceed with a fresh cycle. At the time I was ecstatic, but soon realised that I wish they had cancelled the cycle. They pain I suffered with OHSS was nothing I would wish on anyone. I went from 72kg to 82kg in the space of 2 weeks, I put on about 30cm around the waist, I had fluid in my lungs, my follopian tubes, my kidneys, my stomach, my uterus and also fluid build up around my thighs (because I was bed ridden and it wasn't circulating properly). I was hospitalised twice and put on a drip. I can't tell you how scary it was. To top it off I then miscarried at 4 weeks. However this was not associated to the OHSS. OHSS does not cause miscarriage. I don't mean to scare you, but these things can happen. If they suggest you cancel your cycle it might be worth your while, even though it would be very upsetting at the time.
Mrs Zeg - Do you really park 1km from work? That's discipline for you! My work is 15 minutes drive. I told myself I'd ride the bike to and from when I first started there...that was nearly two years ago...the bike hasn't left the garage.
Miss K - Yeah, DH is pretty good sometimes. But other times :wall: Oh well, what can you do.
Misty - I hear you, after my last cycle I had 3 months off. No Bellybelly, FS, no nothing. You need it every now and then for your own sanity ;)
Tiggerlinda - Come on in! :welcome:
JBM - Welcome back. I hope everything becomes together for you well before september. Look after yourself and make sure you get in a few massages for a bit of TLC to help you back on the right track.
Loops - Welcome back! Sounds like you've had a lot going on. Well hopefully this is a fresh start for you with good news to come your way this year :)
Baby2bee- I'm glad you are positive at the moment. I hope it stays that way and good things come your way soon
AFM - Silly me ate prawns for dinner tonight. Is there truth to the story that you should eat prawns when you are pregnant?
it is more of an issue with prawns after 12 weeks once the placenta is working
Esperan, sorry to hear you're at risk of being cancelled. :( Personally, I'd be thrilled with 16 follicles, but that's because I've only gotten 6 eggs both times (and of course fewer embryos) and I'd desperately love to get 10 or more! However, if your Dr thinks you're at risk of OHSS that's nothing to be trifled with (as Spring has described in such vivid detail - eek!). But even with just 6 eggs I had a mild case of OHSS last cycle. On the other hand I know people who had almost 30 eggs and were fine. Seems really random to me... I don't know if FSH dose comes into it? Mine is a lot higher than yours (325iu).
OMG, talk about the synarel making me vague - I only just remembered that I was supposed to go for a blood test at 7am this morning!!! Phew, just called and can still go before lunch. Just need DH to come pick me up (he has the car). I can't believe I forgot!
esperan: The thought of having to cancel a cycle must be really hard to take - I can't imagine how that would feel: all that work for 'nothing'. But - with the knowledge that the FS's have of your situation it's important that the right thing is done for you & your follies. I hope that things go ok for you between now & monday.
Spring: Your experience with OHSS sounds really scarey - it's the risk we take hey? Thank you for your candid explanation of what can happen - It's good for those of us preparing for first IVF cycles. I'm not sure just what to expect with my own situation - just praying to God things go relatively smoothly!
Yeah - 1km from work due to the fact that I refuse to pay for parking when I can park for free & fit in daily exercise too - It doesn't take me too long but I do need a good dose of deodorant once I get to work!!! I wish I had a bike!!
AFM: Bleeding has just about left the building: HOORAY! Poor DH is feeling a little randy! It's been a long 11 days!!!
I've been a little emotional over the last day or so - I'm really missing my friends & fam who live interstate & my Dad's health is really bad. I keep thinking bad thoughts like What if he's not here to see my Family grow . . . I know this kind of thinking is not healthy but when I get homesick, I get really homesick.
BTW - I discovered a great 'mood-lifter': dance around your loungeroom to your favourite song & (small) glass of wine!!!
* Hope everyone else is well *
Hi Girls,
Sorry for my latest posts... but I was a mess of emotions... I'm feeling a lot better today!
I agree with you all, I guess our health is the most important thing... I will try to be patient until Monday and follow my Dr. instructions...whatever is the best thing to do...
Thanks Spring for sharing your experience with OHSS. How TWW are going for you?
Tiggerlinda I will make sure I have lots of drinks...;)
Baby2bee how are you going with the injections?
Juniper how was your scan?
Misty77 how your eggs are doing? Super good luck on your transfer!!
Mrs Zeg thanks for advice...great music and a glass of wine sounds perfect! and about feeling homesick I know exactly how it feels...My family doesn't live in Australia and it makes very hard sometimes...
Miss K, Loops, JBM, Mitf waiting to start the IFV cycle, good luck! and time will pass very quick!
Did I forget anyone?
have a VERY good weekend!!!;)
:grouphug:
Just a quick one from me esperan you need to be very careful if you choose to go ahead and risk OHSS I put 30kg on over night I had 25 follicles on my first ever try of 75 which is the lowest dose I was in hospital for 2 weeks straight on oxygen and a drain everyday which would drain the fluid out an then it would build up again! BUT in saying that I did manage to fall pregnant which made it get worse we stopped BD'ing and we still had a whoopsie how'd that happen and how many babies are in my tummy but it ended in sadness at 10weeks due to loss of heartbeat though they said it was not caused by the OHSS... Just keep eating pleanty of red meats and cheese and drinking lots of poweraide and also those protein shakes which are sustagen I was being fed that everday in hospital so I know that stops and slows things down a tad and they were pumping me with protein so if you get a head start now why not give yourself some more chances! I hope for your sake that it doesn't affect you going through with this cycle sweetheart mwah!!!!
hey tiggerlinda how exciting that you are coming back for number 2! Have been following you for quite some time!!!
be back later for personals ladies xoxo
Hello ladies
Tiggerlinda - I didn't realise you had a successful IVF pregnancy with your number one child. Congrats! It's nice to hear of success stories. It gives us all hope :) How old are they?
Junipar - Did you stock up on the powerade? What I did when I had OHSS is I bought a container of powered Gatorade. It's exactly the same thing, but you just need to mix the powder with water. It works out heaps cheaper and lasts longer.
Mrs Zeg - Go crazy with the BD'ing. Hopefully that will cheer you up!!! :wiggle:
AFM - I can't seem to keep my posts short! Sorry guys, but I can't help it! Well, its now 6 more sleeps to BT. I have no symptoms or anything to make me lean either way. I know it's too early to expect symptoms but it would be nice to feel atleast something. Do you reckon if I do a POAS on Monday it would give me a fair indication? My last booster was Wed and I am still using progesterone pessaries.
Miss K - Wow! 30kg gained during OHSS! I thought mine was bad! You poor thing! The things we go through
To everyone else, have a good weekend and best of luck to where you are all at in your cycles or preparations.
Miss C is 7 weeks now and beacuse it took some time to get a bfp we thiugh we would return as soon as we could and try for a bfp b4 the end of 2010 otherwise dh will be getting too old and even then it will be 4 years to ivf
thanks eveyone for welcoming me back
welcome back tiggerlinda. it seems not that long ago you were in here, i can remember when i found out about your BFP.
we will prob be doing the whole thing at a similar time. good luck.
nothing for me to report, my life is dull.
Hi Girls,
I've been MIA for a few days. Trying to catch up with work.
Juniper- on no about the appointment. This synarel stuff is crazy.
Spring- Glad to hear things have cleared up. You're DH is so sweet.
B2B- Can I ask, What is a day 21 app for? I'm a little behind you. On synarel, waiting for AF to arrive.
Miss K- those follies are growing. Do you think you have oed yet?
Loops12- Welcome back & GL for your 1st IVF.
Misty- I'm sorry you didn't get as many eggs as you would have like. that one of those is the magical one. Have you heard how they are going?
JBM- I'm sorry you have to wait so long for your next cycle.
tiggerlinda- Welcome back.
Esperan- Thinking of you. GL for Monday. Whatever they decide.
mrszeg- It must be very hard living away from family & friends.
AFM- still sniffing and still have the synarel fog. I am due for AF tomorrow. Is it true that the synarel can make it come a little later? I think I recall the nurse telling me but not 100%.
AF can be later or light on syernal SG good luck
Hey girls
Sorry been without internet for over a week (argh!) so here's a big long catch-up!
Miss K - glad you're recovered nicely from the lap! My scan went well, see below! Your FS appt will be here before you know it.
Misty77 - I can't believe you had a 130am trigger! Eek! What a crazy time. Is it normal for them to be at such odd times? Glad your EPU went well.
Mellmell - GL with the 2WW!
Baby2bee - woo hoo! Glad AF arrived! How's the jabbing going? Can?t believe you have so many follies - how awesome! I am jealous ;) Have you had any side effects yet? Brusing etc from the jabs?
Spring - not sure about the pessaries but I'll be on them soon enough and it doesn't sound too pleasant! Not long til your BT - good luck!
Mrs zeg - welcome! Sorry you are not sleeping - have you thought of trying acupuncture? I had weekly treatments while finishing my PhD and it was the only thing that kept me sane and helped me sleep. I was totally stressed out and not sleeping and the acu was great at fixing that.
Loops12 - welcome back! I hate moving house - hope it wasn't too stressful. I found all the IVF info and paperwork quite overwhelming at first but I'm slowly getting used to it.
Juniper76 - you can buy Gatorade powder in bulk from supermarkets. It's about $10 and makes 8L worth. Waaaay cheaper than buying it premade.
Tiggerlinda - welcome back!
Esperan - goodluck with the decision on Monday.
Hello to anyone else I have missed.
AFM - I'm on Day 8 now. First BT and scan was Monday, all went well and I was still baseline (yay!). They said I had lots of little follicles. So started on 100u of puregon (plus a clexane shot) on Monday night then switched to morning jabs after that.
Second BT and scan on Friday and there were only 2 measurable follies and 4 smaller ones. I was a bit bummed at first - only 6? I had hoped for at least 10. But after a few hours I realised how great it was that my body was responding at all (after being baseline hormonally for 3 years!!) and now I'm focussed on getting 6 great follies! My lining was also a little thin but it's still early so they're hoping it will thicken up nicely.
There's a long weekend coming up in WA so because of that I think the clinic is aiming for my EPU on the Friday before (they can't open on weekends/pub hols) - that's Friday of this coming week - so they rang me on Friday arvo and said double my dose to 200u! Eeek. Am a bit scared by that but I'm sure it will be fine.
Am back for a BT and scan on Monday morning. They said I'll probably start the Orgalutron jab on Monday too. So three jabs a day!
My stomach looks like a dot-to-dot drawing already
Emotionally I'm doing ok. Am skipping a friend's baby shower tomorrow - she knows about the IVF but others in the same circle don't, and I just don't want to put myself in a situation surrounded by baby talk and the "so when are you having a baby?" questions (I've been married longer than all of them). Luckily my friend is awesome about it and we're going to catch up one-on-one next week.
Happy weekend to all!!
Mrs P 6 follies is fantastic focus on 6 amazing eggies of great quality
MissK, wow, 30kg! The nurse at my clinic also mentioned sustagen so I start taking that from when I start the puregon. Nuts are also good to nibble on for the protein - I did that last time (had a pack of "gourmet" mixed nuts left from Christmas, actually had no peanuts in it, very nice).
Spring, last time I drank the sugar-free powerade because I'm very overweight and have been trying to lose some, but now I'm worried about the artificial sweetner so maybe the powdered gatorade is a good idea. Stuff the calories? :shhh:
MrsP, sounds like we're both aiming for EPU the same day. GL with yours. :goodluck: This is my third and I've gotten 6 eggs both other times. Like you I keep hoping for more like 10.
Afm, E2 on Friday was 1180. Same time last cycle (day 7 of puregon) it was 1820. I really hope that doesn't mean we're getting fewer eggs this time. Still no scan (FS was on holidays last week) but we finally get to see what's happening on Wednesday. If all is good we'll trigger that night and EPU will be Friday.
Hi All. Just popping by quickly to say hi. It's all a buzz in here at the moment. I'm loving it. I hope there is good news for many of us to share real soon. I hope you are all well and happy. I'll check back in tomorrow for personals.
Night night
Spring - I know it is crazy 30kgs was overnight I think I ended up 35-37kgs all up was crazy but would do it again if I had to! Spring the 28th will be here before you know it I hope it flys soo fast for you!!
JBM - Its soo painfully annoying waiting till June/July till your next visit you feel lost and get sad so if you need to rant or get something off your chest do it whenever you like :)
Sandygirl - thankyou hunny!!! Umm not sure about O but I have had pinching sensation in the ovary areas so I am  that somethings starting to turn on down there!!!
Mrs P - It is creeping up fast now just under 2 weeks away :) I am crossing everything and  that you have amazing strong and big follies ready to go on Friday!!! Good idea about skipping the baby shower and know what you mean I copped it at SIL's baby shower people keep asking "so when are you going to try for a baby" and I was getting frustrated trying to explain it but I know its not their fault they dont understand!
juniper - yes nuts are good! And YAY for gourmet nuts mmm I remember DF getting me lots and lots of them and my Nanna whilst I was in hospital they were soo soo good :) I hope you get some wonderful news at your scan on wednesday and you're able to have EPU friday !!! xo
As for me - Well I had the most bizzare dream again last night I was pregnant and about to go into labour overseas near hawaii and I wasn't allowed on the plane to go back to Australia to give birth so I was there and DF and I were discussing the name of our little boy its like I skipped the actual birth and was calling him Tyler WEIRD hey LOL!!! And I think my ovaries may be doing something well atleast I thing they may be I have pinching sensation and its been just over 2 weeks since the drilling so not sure if its going to be O or just shrinking down in size but will find out on Thursday 4th!
Hope all you wonderful ladies have had a great weekend and can't wait to see some results after these EPU's! And good luck to you all in the 2ww
Miss K - I hope you have ovulated. Isn't it strange, the dreams we have? The only dreams I've had about babies are after I've had them, or they aren't actually mine, bit I have to look after them. They're usually deformed babies & I lose them or forget to feed them. Aweful dreams! I like yours better.
Can anyone tell me if it matters if you sleep on your tummy during pregnancy? I've been trying everything, but can't seem to sleep in any other position.
Spring - It is the strangest thing!! I keep dreaming it its crazy and its always a little boy... Your one sounds crazy!!! As for sleeping on tummy whilst pregnant I am not sure I am like you and cannot sleep any other way than on my tummy either!
Oooh Oooh forgot to tell you all I brought a book a Nautropath has just brought out its called Making Babies by Jason Jackson its very interesting it focus's on infertility in depth and what you can do whilst doing IVF etc and has pictures and says about emotions and that when you feel everyone around you is falling pregnant and your the last one and wondering what you did wrong to deserve this etc etc its amazing soo far I am really enjoying it!
Quick update - yesterday's scan - follies were 1, 1.2 and two at 1.4 (I am assuming this is cm?) plus a couple of smaller ones.
Next scan and BT tomorrow - fingers crossed all is well and EPU will be Friday!
Hi all,
Sorry I've been offline for a while. Tried to get on last night but couldnt get the site up for some reason!
Mrs P: Sounds like your follies are on track. I'm usually around 12-14 millimetres for my first scan. Hopefully they keep up the growth rate!
Miss K: That book sounds good, I'll look into it. I also had a magazine I bought once called "Making babies' which had heaps of helpful info related to infertility (they also have a magazine out called "pregnancy and birth" which people may be familiar with). When I tried to buy the next issue I found out it was a one off print and ? havent even seen the original reprinted since- shame.
Spring: I'm not sure about sleeping on your tummy when pregnant, but I always thought you could just sleep on it as long as it was comfortable? And re the pessaries, they are horrible, I forgot how horrible they were until I started using them again last week. :(
Juniper: Good luck with your scan tomorrow. Fingers crossed! :crossfingers:
Tiggerlinda and Baby2Bee: How are you both going? Hanging in there? :hello:
Mrs Zeg: So sorry to hear of your homesickness, it makes it all the harder. That's why I think support groups like this are important. I laughed when you talked about your poor DH being deprived, mine feels the same. He says to me the other day "this whole IVF thing isnt that great for our sex lives it it hon?" Poor thing, he's so patient though.
Loops12: Good luck with your first IVF. After doing 4 IUI's I was so nervous for my first IVF. But I think it's a lot of fear of the unknown, it's much less scary the second time (but fingers crossed you wont need a second attempt).
Esperan: How did you go with your scan yesterday? What's the verdict? I've nee thinking of you. :goodluck:
Sandygirl: Syneryl definately makes AF late. My period is always on time except when taking progesterone (injections) or syneryl. I'm on provera to ensure AF arrives, and even though I've been told by nurses it should only be a couple of days late, I have had one 3-4 days late and one 7 days late on syneryl. The 7 day one was a nightmare because I was basically PMS for 2 weeks and felt like I was going to explode. I wanted to hide form the world! :hide: Hopefully yours won't be that late!
JBM: I think focussing on getting healthy during your wait is a great strategy. It's so good for your mental wellbeing not to mention priming your body for pregnancy.
Now I hope I didnt forget anyone, I tried really hard not too!
AFM: I had EPU last Wed. Was so sick afterwards and the whole thing has taken so much out of me I've been struggling to do the basics since. But here's my results:
EPU: 15 eggs
Day 1: 9 mature, 6 fertilised
Day 2: All 6 embryos doing well, 2-4 cells, "A" grade (what does this mean?)
Day 3: 1 embryo slowed down in growth, the rest going really well, in fact a couple are morulas (ie a day advanced than where they should be- this is a good thing)
Day 4: No phonecall - was so upset!
ET yesterday: I hatching blastie transferred. They will freeze 3 others (hooray! I didnt get any frosties last time) and make a decsion on the other 2 tomorrow.
Today: They will not freeze the other 2, one is a blastie but with poor looking cells, the other stopped growing yesterday.
But DH and I are feeling very positive about the results. I guess I should move on over to the TWW thread. :2ww:
I will be checking in and will be thinking of you all. And can I say I have found this the most wonderful experience being online with you all this time, made it much easier than last cycle doing it alone. Thanks girls. :grouphug:
Misty77 - You mean there's a TWW thread? I searched & searched and couldn't find one. I even tried to start one but found out you can't start your own buddy thread. What's it called?
LOL it took me a while to find too. Its called ''LTTTC two week wait april may'' and its in the Long Term TTC forum. I couldnt see it so I searched the website because I knew it was there somewhere and found it's location. I tried to post the link for you for then my reply didnt go through, so trying again! See you there! :D
Hi Spring..
You can go to the LTTTC TWW thread here http://forums.bellybelly.com.au/foru...ad.php?t=97193
HTH
Hi all :hello:
Sorry for taking so long to write here... Like Misty77 I couldn't open the thread last night for some reason...:computer:
Misty very good to hear from your ET! Good luck on your TWW!!:2ww:
Girls waiting for EPU this week: Good Luck!!
Well, on Monday I went to FS and scan showed 20 follies... FS was fine to go ahead with EPU so I'm booked for tomorrow!!! I've been drinking fluids as much as I can... water, gatorade, juices, etc... Because of risk of OHSS, they will freeze all embryos.
Yesterday I came home from work earlier to have the trigger at 5pm.
I'm very excited but worried as well... My tummy is massive... feel very bloated, BUT it's all worth it!! :D
We didn't have an embryo on our first IVF cycle so we are a little apprehensive about this one... This time we decided to have ICSI ...
I will come back tomo to let you know how EPU went.
Big hug for you all :grouphug:
Great news Esperan! Keep up those fluids.
We're doing ICSI too, it's given us good results so far.
Hi All. I've been offline for the past week with my 2yo nephew harassing the #*#* out of me!!! He's divine though!!!! My sister is due to have her 2nd bub ANY day now......and she's asked me to come in for the birth.....not sure how i'm going to handle this when it happens but I guess for once it's not about me!!! I think i'll be ok and of course she is VERY understanding of what i'm going through.
Sandygirl my day 21 appt was day 21 of my last cycle before IVF when they give the drugs you'll be using, give you all the paperwork to sign etc.
Mrs P I'm jabbing away and feeling pretty good still........just forgetful which i think may be the Synarel.
Esperan....all the very best for today!!
AFM: I'm on day 9 of my cycle. No scan since day 2 of my cycle but had a BT yesterday. Levels were 670 (i think that's my oestrogen levels....how naughty that i don't even know what this figure represents) which they were very happy with and they have increased my puregon to 250 iui / day. I've got my 2nd scan this Friday (CD11) so hopefully that will be give me more of an idea where i'm at. I'm guessing mid next week.
Still feel really good..........which is a concern because I was a lot messier on only 50iui a day! And really positive too.........FINGERS CROSS THAT MY SCAN IS GREAT ON FRIDAY!!!!
Good luck everyone!!!! I have everything crossed for you!!!
girls just worte a very big post and my computer had an error... lost everyhting...
:computer:
just to let you know I'm back home from EPU and everything is fine. Got 23 eggs!!!
I'm feeling good, just a little mild cramp...
Hope you are all well... come back tomorrow for personals! I want to know how you are all going!!!
:grouphug: Thanks for all support!
fantastic news Esperen!!!!! God I hope I get good numbers. Keep us up-to-date with progress!
esperan, FX for all to go well today. :crossfingers::goodluck:
Baby2Bee, sounds like an E2 level to me (oestradial). GL with Friday's scan.
Misty, congrats on the beautiful blastie and the frosties too!
So, after 12 days of stims I finally had a scan today with mixed results. My right ovary only had 1 follicle (around 26mm). She's normally my good performer, but she's let me down this time. :( The leftie (normally the recalcitrant one) had half a dozen-ish, all around 16-18mm. I'd have been happier if they were a couple of mm bigger, but I guess they'll do. We're triggering tonight and go for EPU on Friday morning.
Ah, yes, the trigger saga of this morning... Maybe someone can shed some light on this for me? For IVF#1 I had my trigger (Ovidrel) 37 hours before EPU. For IVF#2 (Ovidrel again) it was 38 hours. This time we're switching to a Pregnyl trigger. He said last week we needed to change the timing to 35.5 hours before EPU. Then this morning he went back to 37, then 36.5, then finally settled on 35.5 again. Reading over that, it really doesn't capture the confusion of the whole discussion... At one point he was saying 35.5 hours but telling me a time that was 36.5 hours before EPU. Anyway, 35.5 hours, so 9.30pm tonight.
Baby2bee and Juniper
I will be thinking about you!!
I'm sure you will be fine! My FS aways says: It is the quality of eggs that matters, not the quantity... Take care!
Hi Ladies
Just popping in to say hi. Im not getting on BB very often as Im so busy and trying to keep occupied and mind off the wait.
There are also so many people in here - its hard to do personals. But I have been reading everyones progress.
There are a lot of you with good follies etc - good luck with the transfers etc. And goodluck with the wait for those waiting for treatment to start or waiting for results.
Thanks everyone for thoughts and wishes for my firt IVF cycle starting. ATM I am taking the pill and so onto the nasal stuff etc soon I suppose. And have the counsellling session on 11th June.
A bit nervous but happy about getting on the road with it.
All the best to everyone x
Hi everyone,
I'm sorry I don't have time for perssies, will try to pop back in over the weekend. Sending :grouphug: to you all.
I have been sooooo busy lately. My apologies in advance if I am only on here from time to time. I'm cheering for you all from the sidelines.
I had my preliminary ultrasound today. The lady said that I did a really good job of filling my bladder and she got me to duck to the toilet and let some of it out so she could do the ultrasound properly  I was a bit nervous when she then got me to get changed for the internal ultrasound, but she was lovely and it wasn't too bad. She said that I have a retroverted (sp?) uterus. I remember some ladies talking about that on another thread, but not sure exactly what it means. She said that it's actually quite a common thing to have.
I am at day 8 today and she said that I have one dominant follie on my right side that is 13mm. She also counted 22 follies on my left side and 25 on my right. She said that these numbers are good considering it is a natural cycle. Fingers crossed this carrys on to a successful IVF cycle.
:bluedust: :pink-babydust: to you all.
Hi Girls, just a quick update... from the 23 eggs, we got 14 fertilized with ICSI and 2 fertilized on standard IVF!!! Because of OHSS risk, they were all frozen for a transfer next month...
