Yer for sure Tigger
BTW...I want to do a HPT but Im scared if it comes up BFN is that because its too soon or it really could be BFN. But then I think if it comes up BFP..then I wouldnt have to stress for the next 7 days...is it too soon....Im day 9 and BT is on 19/10/07???
-
Carla, it is probably still too soon, especially if you had a blast transfer.
My last cycle, I had a blastocyst transferred at 5DPO. At 9DPO I began getting *very* strong pregnancy symptoms. My blood test (first one) was at 14DPO, and the day before I still tested negative. There was a very, very, very faint positive in there around 12DPO, but DH insists it was in my imagination.
But... on that theory, any test you see that's a BFN is too early. Any test you see that is a BFP is correct (as long as you are far enough past a trigger shot).
TraceyLee- fantastic news! Congratulations!

Carla - HPT are a personal choice i caved and did many, discuss it with yoru DH and do whatever you want it wont affect the outcome so just make sure you do the right thing for you.
Ellie - Big hello hope everything is going well with you, and i just gave you some reputation and definately meant every word of my comment!
Rols - Good luck leading up to transfer, sorry to hear about the back, but great to hear how relaxed you and DW are about this FET so far can only be good!
I know i am missing heaps of people and im sorry! Has been a crazy day at work, and a week of big discussions with DH about this IVF business and when we go again, i want to go again straight away but i think with last cycles dramas i need a break. Oh well as DH says the swinging vote will just keep swinging until day 1 and then i have to make a proper decision. Ahhh i love AC!!

BW...hhhmmmmm ok....i just found it rather strange hearing all that from a male.....
Can anyone tell me if I should be getting any symptoms by now.....BT 19/10/07...So I am day 9. I have the BIGGEST BOOBS in the world.....they started to get really big on my treatment and I can hardly touch them they are so sore but again have been so sore through out all my cycle. My stomach is uncomfortable and feels tight and strained on the side my egg was transferred....are any of these signs or is it just effects from the drugs.........I cant believe Im dying to vomit!!!
-
OH TRACEYLEE...thats wonderful....congratulations...........your journey has just begun.........bigs hugs for you and your family!!!
-
Nah not at all BW. Thankyou!
Carla, what did you find strange? The fact that I am male in a largely female forum, or something in particular I said?
-
TraceyLee - YAY!!!!!:happyforyou: :confetti: I wondered what happened to you - Am just so thrilled for you & your DH xxx
TiggerLinda - Keep the faith sweetie, and keep those follies growing over the weekend!!!
I know you can 'help' them to grow by laying absolutely flat on your back (on the floor) and a hot water bottle on your abdomen for approx 20 mins at a time.
My NP suggested this through my last IVF cycle - and I did it daily to help them grow, we had a dramatic improvement for that cycle as opposed to the others... I think whatever your mind believes, it can definately have a good impact on acheiving, so why not ;)
Big hellos to everyone else!
Me - Had a chest x ray, numerous blood vials taken, and a urine sample today as my new doctor begins on his quest to try and figure out whats happening with my legs!
Here's hoping something shows up so we can move on to fixing them!!
About a week to go until AF is due for me - I'm so bloated already you would swear she has actually arrived and getting ready to walk in the door... Sometimes I just LOVE being a woman!
Would be wonderful to think she doesn't arrive at all!!!
BB's are heavy & sore, but thats it - Have been a little cranky today - Could be PMT, could be the fact that DH hasn't had a cigarette for 3 weeks and I'm struggling on this continuous effort of "He's just snappy because of the no smoking" without just snapping back at him (!!!!) - Or it could be the fact that I'm just over having every child in my neighbourhood running in and out of the house all day every day now for the last 2 weeks!!!! (Got to love school holidays ).....
BW - I don't even have your excuse of meds - Imagine me if I was taking any meds as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope everyone is doing great!!!!!

Rols
Its great to see a male actually interested in all of this instead of being down at the pub with the boys. Good for you Rols!!!!!

ummmmm...I gues I'd better throw my hat in....its been a while.
So many new faces..too many for personals.
Well we came up with enough money to do another PGD cycle and then wouldn't you know..they are all booked up. So I have been on the pill for neasrly 2 months sp that get my cycle inot synch with the labs. For those who don't know they can only do 2 PGD egg pickups each day beacuse of the specialised equipment and testing that is done so they often have to manipulate your cycle to fit you in the diary.
So I get a phone call Wednesday saying we have some dates for you....great says I..they say how much lkucrin do you have......none says I...silence on the other end.
Why says I when do you want me to start?
Today they say....ummmmm....Houston we have a problem.
So they went away and came back and said you can start tomorrow and we will courier sme out to dandenong it will be there late afternoon. Okay to me late afternoon is after 3pm.
So at 3:15 pm I called to see if it had arrived. It had but the dandenong clinic lcoses at 3:30pm and I am half an hoyr away. Hubby made the trip in under 20 minutes...don't ask how he did it. I just shut my eyes and prayed!!
Anyways I started the Lucrin last night so I guess I am back in the swing of it all so hi to all the newies and g'day to all the oldies (like me so dont take offence!! hehe) and I guess I will be a bit more regular from now on.
-
Mel, fantastic news about your new cycle :) So very happy for you. Wishing you all the best
Big hello to everyone else, deeply sorry for my lack of personals. I wanted to update you all on how we went today.
EPU has been changed from Wednesday to Monday now. So we had to drive 200klms home to pack and get DD packed to go to the IL's, and tomorrow we head off to Brissie. We are going to drive about three quarters of the way, and do the last couple of hours on Sunday. Trigger is Sunday morning at 1.45am, with pick up scheduled for 1.30pm Monday. I also have to call FS#2 at his house Sunday night so he can fill me in on some stuff??
Anyway, today we had a total of 14 follies all between 14-18mm, though he said the majority were around 18.
So, hopefully we will be home sometime Thursday or Friday and I will catch up with you all then. I'm going to have some serious BB withdrawals too.
Ooh,also have a question. What do you think is the best place for the Pregnyl Trigger (10,000iu) I just assumed the tummy, same as the puregon, but today the nurse/receptionist said the leg or arm or backside.

Mel, I'm so happy you've finally got a start date! I do wonder why they didn't have you set up with the lucrin and stuff before hand, just in case... sounds like they had a cancellation and managed to get you in. Either way, great news! And I'm glad you survived that trip!
Nic, will be thinking of you while you go away for EPU. I'm always mildly amused by my FS implying that we live in the middle of nowhere, but we only have a 40 minute drive to the clinic! I shall have to tell him about you so he stops hassling us! As for the pregnyl, I've had both triggers in the belly. Is it possible to call your nurse and double check? I come up in huge red welts after trigger shots, so there's no way on earth I'd be doing that in my backside! But I'm told my sort of reaction is pretty rare.
Holly, I do hope that all this extra bloating and snappishness is just from you being pregnant rather than AF being just around the corner! :crossfingers: We can certainly hope!
I'm doing reasonably ok on the increased prednisone, and even more importantly doing reasonably ok with my psychologist out of the country! She's back in December... I'm starting to catch myself falling into old habits which cause the anxiety freak outs, but the important part is that I'm catching myself, and stopping! At this point before my first transfer I was a nervous wreck! This time, I'm doing so much better! Hope the calmness helps the little one stick!

Shannon, best of luck with your decision.
Holly, GL to you to with solving this body riddle! They'll have to figure it out soon.
MelBel, welcome back and hopefully things quiten down a bit now after that chaotic start.
Nic, you do such a good job keeping everything organised considering the amount of travel you have to do. I think it's safe to say we're all in awe of you!
BW, good job for catching the trigger points before they get out of hand. The earlier you get them the easier it is.
Carla, I'm not quite sure what you meant by "hhhmmmmm ok....i just found it rather strange hearing all that from a male.....". I'm sorry if me being the only male on this thread (there are other blokes in different parts of the forum) makes you uncomfortable. When I first started out here my biggest worry was that the ladies would be uncomfortable and not want me here or behave differently than they usually would. Fortunately, I have been so lucky in that each and every one of them has made me feel very welcome. I've learnt a hell of a lot and I think I've been able to be of use too. I think you'd be surprised how many fellas would be interested in this thread, and indeed many of the ladies here have their husbands/partners actively involved, even if they aren't actually members themselves.

rols, did you see carla's most recent post above? i remember the first time i saw a post of yours, i was confused and did a dbl take, not because i was worried or anything, but bse i had to switch my lazy mind from realising you were talking about a DW and not a DH ;) . you are a valued member of BB and i believe all the posts i have read from others have reflected that sentiment.
nic, what you have to do in order to do IVF blows my mind. good luk hun. i am in awe.
hi melbel, phew what a start to yr cycle! gd luck.
BW i wld love yr advice on the prednisone if you have a chance (see my previous post) :)
traceylee - a huge congrats

Rols.
maybe you should scroll up further and read my comment to you. Dont judge me. Now you have made me feel uncomfortable here with your comments to me in your last reply. I dont need to feel uncomfortable being here as this is support i need right now since I am the one going through IVF. My comment was based on males being interested so much in other females lives...something you dont come across to often when its a topic like this. So please, without me purposely being rude and back off! I have a right to be here just as much as you do.
