Thanks Rols. I did fall into another old habit of beating up on myself for slipping up... but then I managed to stop that as well with a simple reminder that the important thing is that I'm recognising the triggers and the behaviours and managing to catch them before they turn me into a quivering wreck. I suspect that's something I'm going to be doing for a very, very long time! a habit of 15-20 years duration is not going to be broken over night.
I realise this is entirely unnecessary, but I do want to voice publicly my support for having Rols here. I think it is important to know the male perspective on assisted conception and the effects it has on them as well as us. There's been many times where Rols' explanation of how the male brain thinks has saved DH and myself from an argument or misunderstanding. It's all too easy to lose sight of the fact that even though our partners aren't the ones enduring the injections, nasal sprays, pessaries, scans, anaesthetics, blood tests, early morning starts and all the other joys this journey brings (although my DH did end up with a scan of his own and an anaesthetic of his own and more varieties of semen analysis than I thought possible!) that this has a significant impact on them as well. Rols is our reminder to remember our partners and that this impacts on their lives as well... and even though we may be the ones sitting on the computer and doing the research, it's important to make sure you pass that knowledge on to them as well. It's a joint thing, not something we do in isolation.
Carla, I don't think Rols was being rude at all. I can see why he may have misunderstood the thoughts behind your comment. Everyone is welcome here, nobody needs to justify why they are in this thread and why they need this support. Yes, it is unusual to have a male in this area, but I strongly believe he is a valuable asset to this thread, as I outlined earlier.

Was so pleased to see you are back on the rollercoaster Melbel. Great to think you'll be getting another cycle this year. Wishing you and everyone else so much luck.
I wanted Rols to know that i have always enjoyed sharing the journey with him (and his DW too-i'm sure he passes our stories on, just like we do to our other halves.) Not just in the LTTTC forum but all the other's too, where your contribution is always valuable.
Jo
Oh - snap BW! we posted at the same time!

Aww..thanks for your comments girls and Rols. We are a little behind in getting ready this morning, but will get there eventually (I have DH vacuuming the car as we speak)
BW, thanks for the top re the injection. I think I will probably do it in my tummy, so I don't stress over a new location.
Anyway, I'm going to miss all you guys while I'm gone..... will catch up with you all when we get back... Must go and book some accommodation now :)

Tracey lee - Congreats and well Done
Holly - Thanks for the advice I will try that
Hello to everyone else and thanks for your support we have upped the pergon to 300 IUI so heres hoping sorry for the short post and lack of personals we have a bit on today.

Carla, my reply to you wasn't me having a go at you, I was asking for clarification as it wasn't clear (at the time) what you meant by the statement that I quoted. It seemed that me being a male made you feel uncomfortable, which I could perfectly understand if that was the case given the sorts of topics that are raised here. I then went on to have a bit of a general spiel about there being other blokes using BB, and the ways in which blokes can be involved in this kind of discussion.
I have re-read my post and can't see how any part of it was rude, nor can I see how in any way I suggested that you were less welcome here than anyone else. If that is your view then that is unfortunate. You are most welcome to share your story, and receive and offer advice just as the rest of us do. So good luck with the process, and I wish you every success for your current cycle.

Just so happy for you that you are able to do another cycle
It will be wonderful to have you back around again ;)
Carla - Rols has done a perfect job in his last post, but just wanted to assure you that he would not have meant anything detrimental in any post that he wrote:hug:
Sometimes the internet is so hard to tell what people are meaning - But I can tell you with absoulte certainty that he would not have meant that you are not welcome.
I'm sure as you get to know us all a little better you'll realise how wonderful he is - And how respected he is here in this thread... and deservedly so!
We love you Rols! ;)
Nic - Thinking of you although I know you can't read this on your everlasting car ride!!!!
Your follies are sounding wonderful - great sizes and numbers.
By the time EPU comes around you'll be soooo glad - Make sure you're taking in the water - I'll be checking up on you!!! ;)

Ladies & Gentlemen, I'd just like to remind you that if you have a dispute with something that someone has posted, please take it up either in private or with one of the thread moderators (myself, Sushee, Tiggy or Cailin). We like to keep the boards as supportive as possible & whilst I realise it was a misunderstanding, can we keep any disputes off the board as a general rule of thumb. Thanks guys :)

Hey Everyone,
Thank you all for your Congrats & well wishes. We all praying tightly for this one.
Rols - Blasty transfer on a natural cycle (no drugs to stimulate ovulation etc). Just had bt's daily to find when I ovulated & transferred blasty 5 days after that. Then started progesterone & pregnyl & will probably stay on it for a while yet. Having a scan next Thursday as I have had an ectopic before but Prof says that as my levels are high, there's no way I have another ectopic yeaahhhh. Its just to clear my head from stress.
Nic - Im always taking Pregnyl and it's always in my tummy as per FS but leaflet says muscular. No way would I put it into the muscle ooowwww, sticking with FS info.
Have a great Sunday everyone.

Just want to let people know that things didn't go well with the defrosting of our snowbubs. I feel like complete and utter crap right now.
Don't really want to talk much more than that - trying to get my head around everything. I need to wallow and be selfish and snotty for a bit before I search for the positivity again. I hope everyone can understand.
BW
