Congratulations Sonya - Wonderful News!
Oh wow Sonya Congrats on the BFP!!!
Megan Congrats on the Emby numbers sounds like a great day in here!
TWW - 13 days to go hate the extra long TWW, sorest BB's damn Crinone other than that feeling good and looking forward to a massage and acupuncture tonight!
Holly, I hope all your little niggles are for a good cause ;)
Shannon, I hate crinone too. I am definitely not looking forward to it. It's not fair that all the side effects of crinone can also be a symptom of pregnancy. I start that on saturday after transfer. woo hoo! lol

MEGAN great new about your 5 little embies hun well done and all the best for saturday ill be thinking of you
A big hi to all!
Great to hear some good news in here - a huge Congrats to you Sonya. Those HCG levels must be alright as those digital tests aren't all that sensitive. Woohooh!
Megan - I'm so pleased to see you've had better results this time. That must be a huge relief for you. Will you be transferring 1 or 2 embies?
Mon - congrats on your 1 embie on board. I'm sorry you didn't quite get the result you're after. I am sending you LOADS of sticky vibes for the lil' one that did make it. C'mon lil embie - hang in there! Would you mind pm'ing me that artice you mentioned? I think I need it! My attitude
has been pretty neg the last few days.
Shan - thinking of you and your embies!!
Smithy - best of luck for your scan tomoz. Can't wait to hear how it goes for you.
Bec & BabyB - thinking of you as you start your cycles, and throwing a bunch of babydust your way. Good luck girls!
HB - sounds like Antonia is doing wonders for you. I may have to look her up one day. I do hope you catch that eggie this month.
Scan and BT yesterday for me showed all is progressing as hoped. It was mainly to check (early on) if there were any signs of of OHSS, as I have Polycystic appearing ovaries (border-line), but all is A'ok! The drugs are starting to knock me around a bit 'though. I don't remember the last time I felt this tired and grumpy. I am having to exercise a great deal of self control when at work to ensure I don't take it out on my staff or especially my customers!!! I've had a constant dull headache too, but it hasn't bothered me too much.
DH is doing really well with my injections (& is loving feeling like he's doing something!). He was so nervous for the first one (VERY cute!).
Have a great day all!
Arielle
Hi all!
Sonya - Great News! Congrats!!! Sending more positive vibes!
Megan - great news on your embies! Praying they all keep growing healthy!
Shannon - my BBs are killing too! Hating the crinone for that - aching as I type! Have you also been getting cramps! I have been getting them on and off too!! :(
Smithy - good luck for tomorrow! It will all be fine!
Arielle - glad to hear scan and BT all went well. Wow didnt know they could check for OHSS signs early on ... will have to ask as I also have polycystic appearing ovaries ... I am wondering if that has anything to do with me over responding to drugs? Made me feel moody too! Are you drinking heaps of water! I was doing around 3L a day - that helped.
Rols - how is DW (will make sure to PM you and Ari the article) is she still tired!
Bec, BB, HB and anyone else I missed ... good luck with your TTC!
Baby Dust all ROUND!
Mon :)
Hi Mon! My FS said that if you have polycystic appearing ovaries then you are at a slightly higher risk of OHSS, and will often respond quite quickly to the drugs. This is why she chose to start me on a slightly lower dose of Gonal-F and to monitor me earlier. Apparently they like to keep the Oestrogen level b/w a certain range the whole time you're on Gonal, and if it gets too high then they start to have concerns about OHSS. My Oestrogen is all good thus far. Looks like you too were started on a lower dose (probably for the same reason), but they bumped it up when they saw all was progressing ok and you weren't showing any signs of OHSS. Not sure if it is standard to double the dose like they did with you (would anyone else know?), but no doubt they will probably do it a little differently next time for you (hopefully next time is when you're trying for baby #2).
Hope those cramps settle down soon for you. Thinking of your poor BB's too.
Take care
Arielle
Just a question, others who had a down reg cycle, did you have any side effects going on the OCP? I havent been on the pill in 7 years but having started yesterday I feel so so sick today! Nausea and upset tum and a bit teary. Is this normal!?
Kell, I was the same on the pill. I was incredibly moody. I am sure I would have had nausea but I don't know because I always took it just before bed so that I would hopefully sleep through any icky tummy feelings.
I know from taking the pill years ago, I always suffered nausea on it when I took it in the morning. I was glad I was able to fix that by taking it in the evening.
Oh god Megan thats such an obvious solution! Can I switch to night time taking now I have had 2 in the morning?! PLEEEEEEASE?! (Do I just slowly change it within the 12 hour time period perhaps?!)
Megan, that's fantastic that you have 5 embies! Hope everything goes perfectly on Saturday for you.
Big hello to everyone, so sorry for my lack of personals. I have a nasty headache happening, even had to cancel my hair cut for this morning :( just wanted to check in on Megan's embies.
Will try to catch up with everyone over the weekend, have a great one :)
Nic
Megan - great news on the 5 embies!!!!! best of luck for the transfer...
Kell, I think it would be fine to change it (even if you do it gradually over a couple of days). It might be an idea to contact your nurse just to be on the safe side. But, hopefully this will solve your problem and you wont feel horrible for the rest of the time you're on it.
Thanks nic & Sonya.
Hope you're feeling better soon nic.
Congrats Megan and Sonya!!well done girls
Me- still lurking
Just a quick post from me - about to go crash after three very long days with appointments...
Feeling excited - only three days until I see my FS and get started on another FET cycle. Got my answers from Dr S - looks like I'm going to be on prednisone for a very long time, but at least I can have some confidence with the next pregnancy because of it.
I'm feeling really good about getting things underway again.
Megan - good luck for your transfer.
Nic - hope the headache eases off real soon.
Good night, everyone, sleep well.
BW
Hi Everyone
Have been a bit quiet...been in a place of reflection...and have decided to cancel our ICSI cycle. Taking some time out to heal. Losing 3 babies this year is enough, can't take the chance of seeing that number increase...the pain is still too raw. I feel like I've had a huge weight lifted off my shoulders...time to sit back and smell the roses for a bit. And as DH said..."Now we can just try the old fashioned way"...lol...we live in hope!
Hi Ellie
Some time out could be just what you need. During this whole process I think we sometimes forget how much pressure this puts on us mentally and physically. Your body can only handle so much. And who knows the rest may do you some good and you may fall the old fashioned way. Good Luck Ellie
Well I had my day 21 appointment today thinking I would be starting my Synarel and I just got the call from the nurse saying I am about to ovulate and come back next Friday. I am totally confused!!! Could I be pregnant? We have been trying ourselves this month. But ovulation would still appear wouldn’t it?
Hope everyone is doing well.
hi to all y lovely bb girls.
well i had my scan today and all is good i have trigger injection on sunday night and EPU on tuesday morning,:pray:we get a heap of beautiful eggies:egg::egg:
good luck Smithy with the EPU...fingers crossed for great looking eggs!
BW - great to hear you feeling so much more positive
Ellie - good on you for taking time out for yourselves... you have had such an emotional year and physically and mentally resting for a spell sounds like just the trick! hope to see you still popping onto BB now and then... take care...always thinking of you.......
Good Luck Smithy, thats fantastic
Yaaaaay Smithy! I'll be cheering loudly for your eggies on Tuesday.
GL.
Arielle
Great Job Smithy!! Good luck Tuesday!
Ellie, im really glad you are taking the time you need, it has been a huge year for you and DH and i wish you both an extremely relaxed end of year & Christmas. Enjoy the natural TTC :) And keep lurking an giving your advice!
Sonya how are you going? I think your BT is tomorrow right? GOOD LUCK!!
Shan
Ellie, I really hope that your break helps you to heal after everything you have been through. Everything crossed for a natural conception while you're on your break! ;)
Smithy, all the best for Tuesday. Hope you get a nice little haul of eggs. :)
I can't believe tomorrow is transfer. I have to get up at 6 to get to the clinic by 7.30. At least I have nothing on for the rest of the day so I can just come home and relax all day.
BG & Lou, I found out the Dr doing my transfer is your FS! I have never met him before, but I sure hope he's lucky! ;)
Megan - woo hoo on transfer tomorrow - that's awesome hun. Mac is pretty good - he's got a great sense of humour that should put you at ease pretty early
here's hoping there is some massive good vibes for you this time around hun!
Thanks BG. I think you need someone with a sense of humour while you're there in your glory with the spotlight on you! ;)
At this rate I will have met every FS associated with Monash.
hehehe - there are definitely days i'm glad i'm out here in the middle of nowhere - i've only ever had contact with Mac and the local clinic nurse - it's very calming!
Hi Everyone :D
Ellie, sweetie I hope you're doing ok xxx
I know how you feel - Sometimes its nice to stop for a bit and say to yourself - 'Hang on a sec, we're still two humans living life here!'.... Oh how easy it is to get caught in the nothing but TTC world ..... Have fun practicing the old fashioned way ;)
Megan - A huge huge good luck for you tomorrow, will be thinking of you xxx
I just know everything will go great for you this time - have a wonderful day of relaxing afterwards.
Sonya - GL with the BT... But we all know nothing to worry about there!!!!
Smithy - Best of luck for trigger on Sun & EPU on Tuesday xxx
Nat - Heres hoping that you won't need that synarel... or anything else!!! Wouldn't it be wonderful if you were pg all on your own?! Miracles can happen - we've definately had them in here to prove it so xxx
BW - So glad to hear you're ready to go again - wow that was quick considering what you thought initially!!!!
To everyone else I've missed, a big hello!!!
Me - Feeling just horrible at the moment - I just don't have any energy at all, so so tired.
I did a bit more research on the lumps (from now I'm going to call it EN - Erythema Nodosum - Because lumps is just not nice!!!!) - and it turns out that they cause swelling in your legs and especially your feet - This would explain my limping over the last 2 days and my inability to get my left foot in my shoe properly :(
On top of that, it also says that it can make you extremely tired.... just fantastic!
This week has been really hard working with little people while being in pain from swelling and hardly able to keep my eyes open!!!!!!!
Enough whinging from me though, I've finished work a week early in the school term - My SIL and I are taking Luke & her two girls to the Gold Coast for a week on Sunday!
Heres hoping my leg improves so I can walk all day around Dreamworld & Australia Zoo!!!!!!
A week of no work will do me good though - I'm looking forward to it!
On CD 25 here - AF feels like shes upon me - We'll know soon enough!
Hope everyone is great xxx
Megan! Thinking of you today, and sending plenty of:stickyvibesboy::stickyvibesgirl: your way.
Sonya - GL for BT.
HB - sorry to hear you're feeling rather ordinary. Have a great week off - sounds like exactly what the doc ordered.
Shan - how are you feeling so far?
My 2nd BT & US was this morning (day 7 of injections), and all coming along nicely apparently, although they didn't tell me how big my follies are. I know from looking at the US screen, I still have 6 on the left and 11 on the right, and the bigger one on my right is 13mm, with a few others a bit over 10mm. I'm hoping this is ok at this stage in the cycle, as I have no idea being my 1st cycle??? I am guessing / hoping EPU is around Thursday / Friday, but the clinic hasn't eluded to much with that either. Oh well, shall keep plodding along. Not feeling too badly, so am happy 'bout that.
Hi to all!
Arielle
Arielle, those sizes sound about right to me I think. My follies seem to grow quickly, and after 7 injections I am ready to trigger but they have told me that most people have around 10-12 injections. 17 follies sounds like a good number. When is your next scan?
Transfer went well this morning. We had 2 embies transferred....a 9 cell and an 8 cell. She said they like them to be 6-8 cells at this stage. I remember my last stim cycle and transfer, my best embie was a 7 cell. The other 3 were all progressing well and were all at 8 cell stage. She said they were looking good to freeze but would check them in a few hours. So, I wont find out until Monday if they were frozen.
I was first up for the day and the Dr wasn't there yet when I got there, so I was sitting in that chair waiting for him for a while! But, it was easy if a little painful and all over in less than 5 minutes.
I've been taking it easy for the day, and I am still a little sore from EPU. So, I guess now I'm in the TWW. It's been a while since I've been here. :)
Thanks Megan. I've heard around 10-12 injections too. Next scan & BT is Monday so here's hoping my follies have plumped up a bit more by then.
That is excellent news about your 8 & 9 cell embies. Sounds like they are advancing even better than expected, so hopefully that means they're more likely to be sticky ones! 3x8 cellers left over too is awesome. You are no doubt stoked with this result, compared with the disappointments of this year. I really hope this is it for you, and will be keeping everything crossed for a BFP for you in 2wks.
Rest up well.
Arielle
Arielle - Your follies sound wonderful at this stage - you will find by Monday that they have grown considerably - Mine always plodded along slowly and then got massive within a few days before EPU.
17 follies is a really good amount too - Make sure you're drinking heaps of water now though - 2-3L a day, just in case you grow some more, and because your existing ones will only get bigger now!
You don't want OHSS!!! Lots of water!!!!
Megan - Have posted in your journal, but I can say it again - YAY!!!! on your ET!!! (And on those waiting to be frozen).
I am just so happy for you - So glad you had a wonderful cycle this time round - Hope the 2ww is a quick one & this cycle finishes off as perfectly as it has been throughout ;)
Me - Well, the witch has arrived today - Very unusual for me being early (I know, only 2 days, but my body is usually like clockwork) - My EN on my legs have improved dramatically since AF arrived, so here's hoping they go away for a little while now!
Thanks Holly :) Glad to hear your lumps ;) have improved. Also, happy to hear that you found another name for them other than lumps! lol
megan - best of luck in the TWW. those embies sound great!
Arielle - your follies sound good and being all similar sizes can only be a good thing...
HollyBolly - good to hear your legs feeling better!!!!!! hope AF isnt too harsh
ME - I AM PREGNANT!!!!!!! BT was good levels today, goota go back friday to make sure they are improving. will still be stalking this thread as i cant wait for more of my BB friends to join me
