Awesome news Mel, so pleased for you! I think twins would be fantastic. How are you finding Perth?
Ellie, hope this melanoma thing is manageable and doesn't require additional treatment except for removal. A mate had one removed (a pretty decent one too) a few years ago at age 20 or something and he's totally ok. They tend to take extra tissue around the periphery to catch any rogue cells, but generally speaking things are pretty positive these days if they're caught in a reasonable timeframe. Good luck.

Thanks Rols. I'm hoping the same!!!

Im so sorry smithy :(
Well I did my first injection this morning, managed to work myself up into a bit of a state beforehand but eventually calmed down enough to do the injection. Was much better than I though and I feel a bit more confident for tomorrow :) I have another blood test on Saturday and then scans and BT mon/wed/fri next week. I have next week off work which Im really looking forward to, I seem to have shocking mood swings at the moment and its really hard not to say something I might regret to certain people at work!

Hi ladies,
Firstly ... Smithy ... my heart goes out to you! I am so truly sorry! Big hugs to you! Don't beat yourself up and make out you are a failure! Think that you did the best you could! We arent machines and we are being pumped with all these drugs that isnt exactly normal! And we all respond differently!
Good point you made BW, I suppose first go is a trial and hopefully FS can perfect for next go for us that havent been successful (TO every1 else I hope it all works out)! We so have to be patient.
I didnt realise how much it takes it out of you! I have had the worst busy week at work to top things off - so even though it has been a distraction, my body isn't coping and have hit a brick wall and am pretty run down, have copped a cold - sinus flared up and killer throat and headache! AF has only just started to slow down! It has been awful! Thankgoodness for long weekend!
Has anyone been this run down after a cycle??? i am usually pretty healthy and have a strong immune system and it takes a lot for me to get sick! I guess we're human in the end!
Shan ... hope all goes well, but looking good so far!
Arielle, good luck for EPU tomorrow.
BW, Deni, nic (sorry if have missed anyone else) ... good luck as you start your new cycles.
Rols, hope your DW is doing well.
Take care every1
Mon :)

Mon, I'm in the same boat - killer sinus infection, sore throat, fever, headaches... and I just can't afford to take any more time off work right now (especially not when there's all of three classes over two days). I had the same thing happen at the start of my last FET cycle, too. I have an appointment with a GP on Saturday to get onto some antibiotics... little bit worried as the ones that I normally take for sinus infrections aren't safe in pregnancy. My regular GP gave them to me anyway as we knew I'd be off them before transfer, but he's on holidays at the moment. Hopefully I'll be able to convince the other guy to give them to me... perhaps I won't even mention IVF this time around.
Good luck for your EPU, Arielle.

Ellie - I hope you have nothing to worry about the mole is normal!
BW - Sorry about the Sinus infection, hope its all better by transfer.
Mon - Sorry about the sinus infection also, and i agree after my first cycle i was so sick and run down for ages until my body recovered, hope things pick up soon! And thanks for your well wishes!
Bec - Congrats on the first injection! Its always the hardest!
Arielle - Good luck with EPU tomorow! Fingers crossed!
Im good, feeling yuck and stressed AF is due tomorrow and we have never gotten any further than 28 days in an IVF cycle so hopefully this is the one. I hope you guys dont mind me hanging around etc, i just dont consider us pregnant until we get the blood results next week. Plus im really scared! :)

Thanks everyone. Mole removed today. Have a 10cm cut running down the middle of my knee now a 4 day wait for results. On another note...CD 29 today and slightly suspicious...have some serious veins on bb's and I only get those when pr*****T...can't say it out loud...I wonder???
Oh...and it's 3 years today since my ruptured ectopic...weird???
-
hmmmmmmmmmmm, fingers crossed ellie!

Hope things are all turning the corner for you Ellie ;)
A four day wait would be he!l for most, but i'm sure you'll take it in your stride.

ARIELL best of luk today hun im thinking of you and hope you get some nice healthy eggs

Had my day 9 scan for my first cycle this morning. I was pretty excited beforehand but was pretty disappointed with the news I got. There are only 6 maturing follies with another 6 little ones rearing their heads. As we are going thru PGD as well, the clinic would prefer to have at least 15 to play with. May look at increasing the puregon dose over the weekend to see if that helps any. But the nurse said that in reality we may have to cancel this cycle. Pretty upset but I understand the logic. Hopefully my body will respond a bit better next time.
Good luck and best wishes to all!

Hi All
Have been trying to catch up on everyone's news, & what a lot there is! Congrats to all those on the TWW & with BFP's, big hugs to those who weren't so lucky.
We are starting IVF#2 on Sunday & I am quite excited. Have just had a month break after OHSS led to no EPU for IVF#1. Very upsetting at the time, but the break has been great for us. I feel much better prepared to "manage" this cycle.
Is anyone else starting or just started about now?
Take care everyone & have a wonderful weekend - wherever you are!

peta all the best to you for this cycle hun

Hi ladies & Rols.
Shan - I hope that line is getting darker. :SAAF::SAAF::SAAF: Will have everything crossed for you for Wed.
Bec - hope those injections are going ok.
BW - you sound like you're in a great place mentally & emotionally going into this cycle. I am really pleased to see this. I hope you are feeling better soon, so the physical side of things can catch up. Take care!
Nic - I hope that US went ok, and it's all systems go fo you.
Ellie - ouch! I hope your wound heals quickly, and that it's good news for you in the results dept (both of them). Have you POAS'd yet?
Mel - :confetti::confetti: double congrats to you! Twins! That is great news. Well done.
Peta - all the best to you as you start your new cycle. I hope you have a LOT better luck this time 'round.
JoeS - hope things turn a corner for you - i.e some of those other follies catch up real soon. I have everything crossed for you.
Mon & Smithy - thinking of you both. Hope you're doing ok.
Well, I had EPU yesterday, and was pleasantly surprised to find out afterwards that 9 eggs were collected (after being told we'd probably get 2 or 3). I just got the phone call to let us know that out of 9 collected, 7 were ok for fertilisation, but today, unfortunately, only 1 seems to be doing the right thing. They are watching 4 others. Ofcourse, it's a fair disappointment, but we're doing our best to keep our chins up. As everyone says, it only takes the ONE right?!
Just out of interest, would anyone know how likely it is that some others may pull through?? Has this also happened to anyone else, and they did actually end up with more embies??
So, it'll be a day 3 t'fer for me (11am) of either 1 or 2 embies, depending on how many make it, if any?? Any positive vibes / babydust would be much appreciated right now. We need it! C'moooon lil' ones - you can do it!

Thank you, Arielle. There's been a few hiccups - I'm just finding that the end of term, being sick, DH being away (left Wednesday morning and will get back on Monday afternoon, late-ish)... all of it was just getting to me. Ended up flipping out at DH on the phone, but I'm feeling a bit better about things today. It's hard to believe I start my cycle tracking blood tests on Tuesday - it just seems too close!
Afraid I can't help with the embryo questions, but I'll be praying like mad that your one little embryo is super-embie and will stick like glue when transferred.
Hi Peta, you'll find that everyone's at different stages. Some of us are fairly new to this, while others have been going for much longer. And then there's the oddballs like me who've been effectively doing IVF since the start of the year... but have had one EPU, one transfer (not the cycle with the EPU, I had OHSS so they all went to the freezer), one miscarriage... and a damned lot of waiting! I've just been on a break as well - feeling much better about heading into this transfer than I did heading into the last one.

Hi Ladies
Sorry for the lack of personals but i have been reading and my best wishes prayers and babydust go out to you all.
Unfortunately after 4 days of positive HPT and the line getting darker and darker we lost it last night feeling really crappy and over it all. Really scared on top of all the TTC issues for some reason i can't maintain a pregnancy. Oh well hopefully the FS has some answers.
