Best of luck for your transfer tomorrow.... and afterwards you have to come home and do absolutely nothing for as long as possible!!!!
And, yes, it was me telling you about the liners... if you're having both the pregnyl and the crinone you WILL need them!!!!
Ah the joys.... but it will all be sooo worth it in the end!!!

BG - Hope you're feeling better soon if its the drugs, but if its not... Hope the sickness hangs around for approx another 12 weeks ;) xxx

Me - I'm with you today BG, feeling very very ew in the tummy!
Luke and I went for sushi for lunch today (i was only going to have cooked tuna JIC!!), but the smell of it bowled me over walking up to the counter.... Luke ate his lunch and mine today!!!!
Everything has made me feel extremely average since about this time yesterday! BBs are sore, and just feeling incredibly feral - My skin, hair, everything... here's hoping its all for the right reasons!!!

I had crinone with both my fresh transfers. I think as long as you are aware that it can give you all the side effects possible, then you will be OK. It may give you none at all, but go very easy on yourself (DH is to do all cooking, cleaning, decision making, and foot rubs!). I had a weird two weeks emotionally. I know others have had physical and emotional side effects.
Also...what goes up, must come down IYKWIM?! It resembles cottage cheese, and if you already feel a bit teary...seeing that stuff coming out can make you feel like a real lady!!!
But in the end it will all be worth it, and I am looking forward to more 2008 babies being born!!!

BG - pleased you are in a better place this time around. That's gotta be a good thing right? I can't remember - are we having triplets again this time...or were there lovely twin follies? Waiting is cruel!

ETA : Ohhh Holly. I hope this all means good things. Repeat what i said above...waiting is cruel! Bet Luke doesn't care though! More food is always good!!

holly - as crummy as it is to feel yuk, i have my fingers crossed it's for a good reason and a reasonably long time!

Can't remember everything I read on the last few pages so sorry for the lack of personals! So much happening here I can't keep up!

Me - Had my 2nd injection this morning. Only on 25 of puregon daily next BT Wednesday...E2 has to be over 1000 before trigger then 3 boosts with transfer somewhere in the middle if our little blasties survive the thaw.

My added complication to all this is my brother's girlfriend is 38 weeks pregnant (it was an accident????)...she sent me an email yesterday to say she will be induced on the 9th if nothing happens before...which is about when things could get busy for us with FET...the thing is my parents are really pressuring me to stay with us when they come to town for 'the birth'...I told them straight up after m/c that I didn't think I could cope with more than visiting the hospital...having them stay would just be too much...they are so excited and I'm already finding it all so hard to deal with as they 'accidentally' got pregnant etc etc and no one gets the 8 years of hell we have been through...this is so not going to help for a stress free cycle....sorry for the vent...I just want to be left alone and give these blasties the best chance...and I didn't want to tell them we are doing a cycle as they drive me NUTS!!!!!! What to do????

Ellie...I won't post much, but i wanted to say that you need to put yourself first. You really do. Don't put any more pressure on yourself than you have to. Be strong...but firm. No one will ever 'get' the hell you have been through...but you need to protect yourself. :grouphug:

Ellie - Whilst I don't know the full story I'm 100% behind Kotare, you, your wonderful man and your gorgeous blasties are what matter most right now, so lock the door, batten down the hatches and flip the bird to the world!!!

Tell them you have gastro, or the house is being renovated, or you've been taken up by alien life forms, if they love you they won't ask why, and if they don't love you then it won't matter if you offend.

IVF is hard enough as it is darl, and it's not cheap either so make this time all about you and your man and those blasties, they'll be time enough to kiss and make up when your preggers ...

Diva - that is fantastic news - what a great surprise for you & Dan. I hope you have a great pregnancy!

BG - I really hope this is your time - I like Ellie have everything crossed for you :crossfingers:

Me - went & had my b/t & u/s & the doc rang to say that they weren't able to go ahead because there were too many large follicles. He did however give me the option of switching to an IVF cycle as I am at a stage where it is looking good for this. After many tears & stressing about what to do I decided to do this. I am so scared & worried...what if this isn't the right decision, should we have waited & given IUI another go?!?! So confused! I went & had an antagonist injection (which has left a nice lump) to halt ovulation & am going back to get b/t tomorrow. If all still looks ok will be going in on Wednesday for EPU.

OMG - I feel like I am in a whirlwind...I just hope we made the right decision...now comes working out how to pay for it! What would we do without VISA!!!

BW - how are you hun? I have been thinking of you - hope you're okay.

Ali hun - i've had the same thought many times - if we had too many follies, would we be able to move rom iui to ivf - i know what a tough call this is, but i believe you've made a great decision - having been through cancelled IUI's more than once,it's heart breaking - and (finances aside) - you're still moving forward, which is awesome hun. i will agree though - the antagonist shot i had to have (cetrotide) was a bit ouchy!

Ellie - like the others have so beautifully said, this is a time when you have to put yourself and your hubby first. you are emotionally drained enough as it is without the added stress of having your parents stay there gushing over the new family member. be kind to yourself, stand strong with your parents, and make sure you put yourself first

Ali...I think it's fantastic that FS has given you the chance to do an IVF cycle...I wasn't given that opportunity when I was in the same situation...the nurse just told me I had 'IVF follies' and to go home and make another appointment with FS...3 months later we had to go through the whole stim again!!! Seemed a waste of a heap of really good, BIG follies...good luck...I think it's all looking great for you xxx

I'm still here... still lurking about. Reading every day, but don't really have much to say. I hit a real turning point on Thursday - and I've felt so much lighter ever since, more at peace with the world. Counting the days until the appointment - feeling a bit nervous and apprehensive, but I know DH has my back, and he'll have my list of questions and if I get too upset to ask them, he'll make sure they're asked.

Diva, I have to add big congratulations from me. I truly am happy for you and just amazed at your precious little miracle there. What an expensive way to get a pregnancy test! If I'm completely honest, I will admit that I'm jealous as hell as my miracle was taken away so recently, and I have shed a few tears, but it's all about the hope that this can bring, and I can see just how much hope it has given to others, and that's just amazing! Best of luck for a happy and healthy pregnancy ahead.

Ellie, I think that you just need to be selfish. If you're not up to having parents stay then just say no and ask them to respect that. After spending a week apologising to everyone because of the inconvenience of my own miscarriage, and feeling guilty for how it was putting them out, I hit the point where I just had to say to hell with it and do what I need to do for myself. I've felt so much better since then, and I'm not going to let anyone make me feel guilty for any of it. I hope your parents can clear some of the fog from their excitement and start to see things from your point of view very soon.

Holly, this all sounds suspiciously like I did 4 days after my transfer - sore boobs, extreme sensitivity to smells that didn't normally worry me... I hope this is it!

Enough of my babble! This will teach you to ask after me - it opens up the chatterbox! I really am doing much better now, I've had a string of good days, and I've given myself permission to have a bad day if one comes, and somehow knowing I'm not going to beat up on myself for having one seems to make me much less likely to actually have one - if that makes any sense at all. :doh:

Me- well today is day 5 of the synarel spray and its been my first bad day. A bit emotional one minute then going off my brain the next and i feel real bad for acting this way but i just cant help it. Im still feeling ok tho a bit tired but i'll get over it.

ME - have a distraction now. just put an offer on a 4 x 2 plus study house. it has massive shed, parking for DH truck. a heated pool and half an acre of 6 foot high colourbond fenced yard! its 25 minutes out of town about 1 hour from the city, but its so quiet and peaceful! we find out by friday whether our tax man says we can afford it and then if so if we can sell our house or better to rent it out. its all about the $$$$

so so so happy. properties in our price range come up only a few times a year and this is just sooo perfect!

Hi, thought I might make a brief update on us as a couple of you kindly asked.

DW starts Lucrin tomorrow. But has a stinker of a nasal infection at the moment (initially just thought it was a cold) so she rang the nurse to find out what happens if her GP prescribes anti-biotics with regard to IVF drugs. Apparently it isn't an issue as long as the drugs prescribed are the same as those used for pregnant women. I was a bit worried about how the drugs might affect the Pill which she has to keep taking til Thursday but the nurse didn't raise it as an issue and DW doesn't think it's an issue either.

Interestingly, she said not to continue to use nasal spray to clear the nose, or cold and flu tablets and various other things because they can stuff the Lucrin up.

Rols - hope your wife is feeling better soon - it's hard to get going on the meds first time up, but feeling already under the weather is just going to make it harder to know what side effects are IVF related - good luck with starting out tomorrow!

Hi all - havent been posting much as the clomid had sent me into severe depression and im only coming out the other side now.

I didnt take my last pill as i was feeling so crap, but dont tell FS !!lol

lou - that sucks hun! there seems to be extremes with the clomid - either nothing, or complete anxiety/depression. hoping you've come out of it ok now though

as for me - i'm exhausted - we've had a huge weekend! hubby and i were up til 1 on Friday night getting the painting finished in the lounge (yay! looks awesome) then last night had drinkies for DH's birthday, so another late one. i have been getting pains in my abdomen but i'm not wanting to read anything into it - was very localised to one side (which is the side i o'd from) and the pain was so nasty i felt physically ill with it. has settled down now i think (just getting niggles now) - i don't want to think anything good is happening cos i think it would be too early for implantation - but who knows? taking it very easy today just in case!

Sonya - :dance: for the house!!! Buying a new house is always fun and as a wise, wise, WISE old lady told me just after our house move (she still doesn't know how wise she is) "New House, New Baby". Here's hoping it's just the thing you need to get things going your way.

Rols - Sorry your DW is having a hard time of it, how are you coping??? Will the egg pick up be anytime soon??? And as a chronic hayfever sufferer that has more allergies than letters in the alphabet, can I say steam, steam and more steam!!! It's my only standby and it never reacts to any medications or medical conditions. Either fill a bathroom with it and sit in it, or pour it in a bowl and shove a towel over your head, or buy/hire a vapouriser and sit on it. Nothing beats a good old steam to get the nasal passages going again, here's hoping this is the only cycle you guys need and never have to worry about it again!

Briggsy's girl - Woo Hoo on getting more of the house done!!! You must be so proud of yourselves! I'm not going to say anything about PG symptoms, 'cause when I got every single one of them I got nada, and when I got none, I got PG! But that's just me, can't do anything "normal" have to do it back to front .... ;)

Loula - I'm soooo sorry clomid's giving you such heartache. I know I had a couple of major meltdowns on the clomid, one day Dan came home and I was packing my bags to leave him! He hadn't done a darn thing wrong, I just wanted to run away from everything and everyone and had this stupid idea in my head that if I left it all behind, I'd get PG ... dunno how that would work without Dan but that's what clomid did to me .... lol! Here's hoping this will be your last cycle as well .... golly gosh the things we put ourselves through eh???

Now ButterflyWarrior, I left you last because I've been wracking my brains trying to think of something clever and comforting to say to you and I just can't. I haven't been where you are and I'm not even going to try and say I understand, 'cause I don't. Life is just bittersweet sometimes, and I'm so honoured that you wished me well, because it must be hard.

I do ask though that you ask your precious angel to hold my baby's hand through all this, our baby's mother is a world class worrywart and would find great comfort in knowing there were angels looking after our baby.

Ok soppiness over, let the baby making commence!!!

Hi everyone

Wow - you guys are so chatty!

Just a quick update on me and I will try to get back for personals later....

Transfer all went well... I had to keep pinching myself this morning and checking my phone in case the clinic rang to cancel... it all seems so surreal. Anyway, just before the transfer we were looking at our embie on the monitor and she (yes we are hoping for a she!) decided to divide from a 2 cell to a 3 cell embie right in front of our eyes - it was very hard for me not to cry - I gripped DF's hand so hard it is probably bruised! Both the nurse and the scientist said that it was pretty rare to see this at time of transfer - we took it as a great big good sign that our little miracle baby is on her way to us right now! So have been taking it easy and watching feel good movies and trying not to eat too much junk food (well not TOO much - does some twisties with lunc and a couple of maltesers count?). Anyway, thank you all for your well wishes. My b/t is scheduled for the 13th - is that the day of yours BG? So I guess we (DF doesn't want to be left out of anything!) are officially in the TWW!! :dance: :pray:
