WOW! It's a big day...new houses...embie transfers...possible implantation...there is a great vibe here...well deserved I say!!!
I am SO tired today it's crazy! AF has knocked the stuffing out of me, probably to be expected after d&c and all?
On a happier note...decided to phone my mum last night and told her exactly how it is for DH and I and that we are feeling really pressured to keep everyone else happy and we just can't put anyone or anything before us at the moment. She was really good..which was a huge shock? She even text me this morning to see if I'm feeling better? I feel this amazing sense of freedom...maybe everything is finally coming together...thanks for the advice guys I feel so relieved that we're off the hook - no house guests and a little understanding makes me a very happy girl!

my BT isn't til the 16th Chez!
somehow i think i'll do a HPT before then!

Diva, I certainly will ask my little angel to watch over your miracle bub. There are still hard times, but I'm doing much better now - probably because I'm medicating the crap out of myself with my anti-depressent meds... After several days of not sleeping and having constant stress headaches, I figured it was time for a dosage increase... my GP had me up here before when school was giving me a hard time... which funnily enough was also the one and only time I tried clomid - severe depression, anxiety, no ovulation and a week off work to try to recover - yuck!
Rols, I do hope your wife gets better soon. Sounds like you're very lucky she's going with lucrin rather than synarel, I can only imagine trying to squirt that stuff with a nasal infection! I found lucrin much easier, and had less side-effects, too.
Chez, amazing news there! I really hope this embie takes and will be keeping everything crossed for you. And BG, of course.
Me... same old, same old... today's nearly over so I've got two days until we see the FS next... I'd be feeling anxious if it weren't for the ADs I'm on. Starting to wonder whether it's really a good idea to medicate everything away, but I also need to be able to function in my job, and I simply wasn't without them.

ellie hun - so sorry, i missed your post earlier!
glad you were able to talk things through with your mum and come to a positive outcome. good luck moving forward from here hun
-
Chez - i have heard that of seeing the embie divide before your eyes...but know i can really say it's not an urban myth...it happened to you. Very special.
Ellie - sigh of relief from me. I hope this next few weeks can be as stress free as possible. Really pleased that your mum took it well.
Happy b'day to your DH BG. Hope his birthday present is already growing and dividing.

Hi everyone
I'm back after watching movie #2 for the day... feeling very relaxed and a little bit tired. An early night for me tonight I think... I forgot to mention that our little precious embie is a grade 1 which is just fantastic news considering we didn't have any success with fertilisation last cycle...:pray::pray:
Ellie - that is good news for you about your mum being so understanding. Sometimes our parents keep amazing us with the things that they do and that is kind of nice. I guess just as we surprise them, they surprise us!
BG - good luck for your b/t on the 16th. I wouldn't be surprised if you POAS earlier - I probably will as well... patience comes and goes with me at times.
Jo - I had never heard of the myth, but I can categorically tell you that it is not a myth. Just amazing really. We were early for our appointment - if we had been on time we would have missed it! Hopefully it is a good sign that our little embie sensed we were there and was sending us a signal that all is well because I do tend to be a bit of a worrywart!
BW - I can completely understand why you are taking the medication. It would be nice if we could just focus toally on TTC the whole time but reality takes over with work and other commitments and that is what allows us to pay for the AC, so don't feel guilty. It is a means to an end and I am sure that you will be off the higher dose soon enough. Be gentle with yourself and know that you will keep moving forward day by day. Take care hun.
Sonya - congrats on the new house. We were looking at doing the same thing but the property prices in Melbourne have gone nuts. Now we are waiting to find out about some job prospects before we do anything else, as we may be moving to Canberra, in which case we would want to buy there.
Diva - hope you are doing okay. Any pg symptoms yet? Your words to BW made me all soppy and emotional - what a beautiful sentiment having BW's angel baby look after yours.
Holly - how are you feeling? Maybe Antonia's herbs are doing the trick - here's hoping you are in for a nice little surprise like Diva got (without the airfares though :))
Rols - hope your DW is feeling a bit better. I agree with Diva - steam is the way to go.
Hi to Lou and Mumof 5 - hope you start to feel a bit better very soon.
Take care all and talk to you again soon.

Chez - Your BT's on my hubby's birthday!!! That'll be a great pressie for him, thanks for that!!! As for PG symptoms I feel a bit "off", nothing to write home about, just a slight queasiness, and I've always had big saggy boobs, and they're not getting bigger but they are firming up so can't complain there! :cryinglaugh: We keep awaiting for angels to appear and announce this PG or me to turn bright blue or something a little more concrete! But we're very happy, feel great and everything as it should be (so the doc says), so we're just classifying it as a reward for all we've had to do to get here!
Ellie - Great to see your family finally come up to the plate, you must be feeling on top of the world. Now it's just the three of you, I really hope this cycle is the one for you, you so deserve it.
BG - How's the TWW treating you??? Have we climbed the walls yet, or are we too afraid to 'cause they're freshly painted??? I'm still praying like mad this is your cycle and you have a happy and healthy sticky bub too ... I need more pregger friends from here! ;)
BW - Darling, if this is what you have to do to survive at the moment, then don't feel bad. Your beautiful angel will most assuredly understand and you have the whole of your life to remember your little one, so if you need to do what you have to do to heal your shattered heart then I'm sure it's fine.
Now where's all the other PG's??? Kotare and I need a mummy's group and two doesn't cut it!!! :grouphug:

Diva,
Feel free to jump over to the Pregnant after LTTTC thread. You can join in with us there. Monnie is about to have her baby soon and it's just an amazing feeling to be around ladies who share the same thoughts and fears as you. They have been lovely and helpful and supportive.
And pretty soon there will be so many more familiar names joining there too...I just know.

hello everyone.. hope all is well and hoping to see some more BFP in the next month.
had my day 12 BT this morning. so hopefully only a few more days of tracking and a transfer sometime next week! will keep you posted.

Thanks, Diva. I know it's probably not the wisest thing to do long term... but it's what I need to do now in order to be a functional human being right now.
One more day and then it's FS appointment day. I'm not sure whether I'm nervous, excited or absolutely crapping myself in terror. Perhaps all of the above.
I rang the pathology place about the bill that came - probably not a pap smear, could have actually been some testing done on the baby. Hopefully this means that there could actually be answers on Wednesday.
Sneaking on at work while taking a cover lesson - must run. Sorry for no personals. Have parent teacher interviews tonight so going to be a VERY late one for me...

Hi everyone. Lots of new people here. Have been MIA for a good while now...since m/c really and then a failed FET. Currently on Synarel, have next blood test tom morn to hopefully start injections on Wed- gonal F. LAst time on Synarel i had really bad bleeding with my periods- cramps (BAD), and lots of clots, does this happen to anyone else??? Also really blocked nose, has this ever affected anyone and whether the spray is absorbed? Had chat to the ivf nurse today and she said lucrin prob would have been better as i did have the heavy periods last time with synarel....hmmm, woulda been nice if they had told me earlier!!
Other news, DH had his varicocele repair bout 6 weeks ago now and had first sperm analysis done and the sperm count has doubled!! Wooohoo, still below normal but hey, we still have another 6 weeks to get max results and any improvement is great. So there is hope!!
BW, i hope everything goes well for you tomorrow. It will be good to sort of get an idea where things are headed, and good luck with Dr S too. After my d and c i got a path bill for $900- only got 400 back, and the only thing could tell me was that it was a little girl. Seems strange about charging you for pap smear....
Diva- have read your story. WOW. Wow. How exicing for you guys, hope everything goes really well. Dream come true!!
Everyone else in two week wait and having bloods- good luck, wish you all the best:dance::D

Just dropping in quickly to say BW, will be thinking of you tomorrow. :)

Happymel, welcome back. I was only thinking about you earlier today and wondering where you were at.
Really pleased to hear DH's SA has improved. Hopefully it will continue to do so with the subsequent tests. I spoke to our FS about varicoceles given that I have a couple of indicators, but she said that the only point in operating would be to alleviate the pain and that the SA wouldn't improve. So it's interesting, and frustrating, to see that there is no set opinion on this issue amongst the fertility people. In fact, they really don't have a bloody clue about male factor infert. at all - with women there's a myriad of options, with blokes it just "well that's your lot and we'll put your DW through all the trauma"!
As for Synarel, I don't understand why they issue Lucrin to some people and Synarel to others.

Hi Ladies and gent....
I have a question. How Long does it normally take to get your period after taking your final pill????
CHEZ...congrats on your transfer best of luck. I have all my bits crossed for you.

Hi Rols!! I think that "generally", fertility specialists dont believe that having a varicocele repair will def cause fertility to return to males with poor quality etc etc. DH had a large one though, and the urologist explained that repairs have shown to improve the counts etc on paper, but that doesnt mean necessarily that you will become pregnant after the repair. Like no guarantees. Basically they cant explain it. Our FS wasnt that overly interested that DH was having it done but we are and were ready to try anything. DH thinks the FS doesnt think highly of it because of the whole IVF thing and the money....im not so sure. Anyway, any improvement is better! Sort of complicated. So decided to do another lot of ivf, we dont want to wait we have to give it our best shot.
Rols how is your wife going on the meds, sounds like we might be round the same time... i hope everything goes well. First time round is a bit of whirlwind. This time im writing everything down- blood results etc so i have good record of it all. Good luck with it, is she going to trust you with the needles!! Heeee.
Mel :)

Just quickly popping in to update and will come back later for personals.
I had my u/s and BT today. They were trying to have me ready for EPU this Friday so my FS could do it. Well, my levels have apparently sky rocketed very quickly and I'm going in on Wednesday. My FS is going in specially to do my EPU so I'm happy he's still going to be there. Just did trigger at 6pm,and surprisingly I didn't feel it. Considering how sensitive I've been to all the needles/injections lately I'm definitely happy about that! My scan showed 24 follicles and 17 of those are on my left side which explains the discomfort I have on that side at the moment! I can't believe it's almost time again.

ooh, sounding good hun!
take care of yourself - be particularly careful of OHSS - lots of drinking water and sports drinks! don't want to add nasty OHSS to the run of things happening - this is the turning point to more positive times for you
good luck on wednesday
