    Another CD21 Progesterone test question....

Hey guys, more questions from me!!

I just wondered a few things, firstly the CD21 progesterone BT I'm assuming is meant to be done 7DPO? I ovulate late so mine was organised to be done on CD23 which would make me 6DPO. My problem is that I work on Friday & can't get it done then, so it'll be done on Thursday at 5DPO or then Monday at 9DPO. Would that be ok?

Also if the levels are low will it be written off due to the test being done 2 days early? Or if they are right at 9DPO would that be a problem cos it's 2 days late??

OMG I'm confusing myself! I hope someone understands LOL!

Sarah, I'd probably be inclined to do it 6dpo rather than 9, but either way, your FS will be able to see what he needs, based on when the test was done. There's no point doing it on cd21 if you ovulate late, it will give you wacky results that way.

Maybe give your clinic/dr a call and see what they say.

I agree with Willow Sarah. Progesterone should peak at 7 days past ovulation. If pregnancy doesn't occur the level slowly drops and then you get your period. At 9dpo you will still get a good idea but the progesterone will be on the decline slightly and at 6dpo it will almost be at it's peak. Ensure that YOU write on the path form your ovulation date so that it's not confused. Your obs will be able to deduce what he needs to from that.

Most path labs will have a clinic open on a Saturday or later in the evening too Sarah. I would phone the pathology company and ask.
