Are you using applicator for thrush treatment??? You could use one of those lmao... Ok I will stop....
Hehe, funnily enough I am!
Nah, seriously. On a what would be close to a 90 day cycle, don't think so. But the thought was amusing. How desperate are we?
ETA: Definitely ovulating :( I know that pain. WHY NOW!!!!? Aarggh!
Oh we are pretty desperate!!! No doubt about it!
Bugger but at least you know AF isn't far away and you are ready for a new cycle plan!!
tasha - it makes me feel more normal when i come in here and hear that everyone has these crazy ideas like me... i am loving the resourceful idea of joeve's for you! although i do agree, i would wait too. thrush is a pain and sometimes difficult to get rid of completely. has a nasty way of resurfacing just when you think its gone.
minnie - goodluck with scan tomoz, hope the nausea has settled.
mich - you're right, i had started to prepare for another round, so might as well just go with it. still stressing (just a little bit though!) about going for blasties. hope you get ovulation real soon, be good to get to the next stage.
sunbeam, saffy & joeve - :hello:
afm - im getting the run around with my seretec's. yesterday tested positive (quite dark), had a BT - and not surging. today tested positive (again dark), had another BT - and not surging. not sure what's going on? they usually work for me, but now i have two sore arms and no surge! i have to have another BT tomoz, and i have a scan booked tues with my FS. i have been temping this cycle too (just for kicks), and i had a temperature dip today, which usually means you ovulate the next day right?
I just went to the loo and found a huge glob of EWCM!! I NEVER have EWCM! Why is this happening now? When we can't DTD!
Sorry ladies, I'm just so darn frustrated :(
:( no idea bummmmmmmmer though
I am obsessed by looking at pics of preg tests today.....so stupid I am cd20 for goodness sake....
Tasha and Joeve - I just had a good old laugh at the "DIY insemination" talk!! :chair: Oh, and Sunbeam - I just realised that smiley must be "falling off the chair laughing"
That's great about the EWCM Tasha, just a pity your body doesn't want to give it to you in a normal cycle!! Just wondering - is it the semen or dtd itself that causes the thrush to come back? I'm just thinking in relation to using the applicator. I love that this is the only place in the world we could talk about this stuff and have everyone understand the desperation ;)
Pity about the nausea Minnie but hopefully it's a really good sign that the drugs are working. Can I ask what drugs you are on and how much? The nurse I saw commented on what a low dose the FS had put me on. So now I'm worrying about my first cycle being cancelled before I've even started. Yeah, I'm insane
Andie, how frustrating! That's really strange. Did they say whether your estrogen was at a good level for ovulating?
Well, it seems every time I jump on here and complain about nothing happening on the OPKs, things start happening! Must be the good vibes :) It's nowhere near positive but getting to sort of medium.
mich - the BT just measured lh & prog levels, no mention of estrogen levels. apparently if they lh is over 20, you are ready to ovulate. if prog is up, you have already ovulated. both were low, so i guess fingers crossed todays BT shows something, although the seretec was slightly lighter today. who knows?! hoping your opk's are getting closer for you today.
tasha - you poor thing, ewcm! how frustrating. so tempting, but think of the delay...
morning to sunbeam, saffy, joeve & minnie.
Morning girls!
Mich yay something is happening!
Still nothing here I am thinking maybe I didn't ov this month as usually I get sore bb's by now and I have nothing happening!!!
:pink-babydust: The List :bluedust:
:egg: Waiting for O
Sunbeam - CD 7 - IUI
Minnie - CD 10 - IVF
Mich8 - CD 13
Andie78 -CD 16 - FET
Tasha - CD 68 - nurse appt 28/2
:2ww: Hoping and praying
Joeve - CD 21 - 4 dpo
Saffy - CD 27 - 11 days post transfer - BT 23/2
Andie - Good luck for a definitive answer with the blood test today!
Tasha - are you counting today as 1dpo? Does this mean your IUI cycle will start slightly earlier? :)
Joeve - Oh no, there can't be another missing egg! Are you going to have a BT to check?
Who ever thought ovulation would be so complicated?
hi girls,
joeve: what is going on with you ? after this cycle what is your plan ? sounds like you need closer monitoring to have a better idea of what is going on with you ? clomid doesn't seem to be sorting things out for you
mich: fingers crossed for a positive opt for you today
afm: i had my scan this morning have a number of follicles, sizes 19mm, 18mm, 17mm, 12mm, 11mm and some smaller ones, depending on my blood test results from today we are probably looking at epu on thursday or friday. its not huge numbers but hopefully it will be enough to get one good one from. the lady said there is no point cancelling the cycle because i may just respond the same next cycle, i may just be a small egg producer. so fingers crossed the 11mm and 12mm pick up in the next few days before collection and i will have 5 follicles.
Forgot to say the nurse said for my age (38) I had really good estrogen levels, I didn't know if I should be happy or offended lol
Hey girls :)
Andie, sorry you are not getting a clear answer. I wouldn't have a clue about temping, never tried it, probably never will. How did today's BT go?
Joeve, put down the poas!! Bummer about the sore bb's, but ya never know....
Mich, you must be about ready to O yeah? Hope it's a good one! And yes, my IUI cycle will start a little earlier :)
Minnie, Good scan results and great news about the estrogen levels. I am crossing my fingers tight for your follies!
Sunbeam & Saffy, any news from you guys?
AFM: I am still so bummed about not DTD. It's such a waste! And all that EWCM, Wtf? I have never seen ewcm before like that, and I had more this morning. It's like it's a sign or something  I am calling the FS anyway to see what he says about it. Devastated :(
ETA: Just got off the phone with nurses at FS office and they say go for it. She said that it may aggravate the thrush, but since my symptoms were minimal I should be fine. I don't know, cant decide. If it wasn't for all the ewcm, I wouldn't have a doubt. Far out, such a hard decision.
Tasha get the applicator .....
Minnie yay!!! We will be ivf next.
Hello everyone else :)
I guess you have formal permission to get the applicator out and "baste" away Tasha! He he
Minnie - ooh, exciting about the follicles! It looks like it's all going ahead :)
Nothing is happening here, OPK line is the same, maybe lighter? I think my body has forgotten how to O without drugs!! But now I kind of want the surge to hold off until Wed so I can at least have the possibility of trying this month. I'll be out til all hours tonight and tomorrow (I'm graduating tomorrow - yay!). DP turns into a zombie by 8.30pm at the latest so if we haven't dtd by then, it's not happening! Men!
minnie - good scan result i reckon and you still have a few more days for those smaller ones to hopefully catch up. i dont usually produce many eggs either, and the nurses have always told me sometimes it can be a case of quality, not quantity.
tasha - soooo tempting... maybe you could dose up on the cranberry juice and go for it?!
mich - congrats on graduating, well done. hope you are planning a something special to celebrate? (aside from ovulating?!)
hi everyone else. :)
not much happening here, had another bt today to check for ovulation. i will probably get results at my scan tomoz. maybe our ovulations have all synchronised via this thread and we will all get it together? :o
Hi Girls,
Tasha - If you decide to go for the home insem I can give you lots of tips :D. Like I wrote before a lady on fertility friend had a baby girls from a CD65 O so it is totally possible. My FS said it does not matter how late it happens its just like it is all on hold until the hormones catch up.
Andie - That is very strange that the bt is not pointing to o because it sounds like everything else is suggesting it's happening. I hope it is close. Good luck with tomorrows scan.
Mich - I hope O does wait till wednesday for you. What dose have they given you for when you start IVF? Minnie's dose is about half what I was put on, there seems to be a lot of variation between clinics. Congratulations on graduating
Saffy - How you doing sweetie? When will you be able to POAS and know it is not the pregnyl?
Joeve - Weren't you using OPKs? I know a surge does not guarantee O but it would be pretty unlikely that you didn't. I hope the reassuring bb's appear soon.
AFM - Apparently the drugs do affect me, mum says I've been a bit snappy on the phone the last few days. Still going well with the diet and exercise and on advice from my brother resisted weighing myself for 4 days and . . . . nothing not an ounce of change! I'm putting it down to the bloating becuase I know how hard I've worked and I'm not quitting! Jabbing is going well. have managed to not give myself a single bruise yet though it's far easier on the low dose for IUI. This cycle seems to be taking ages!!! Been working hard on the job hunting.
Sunbeam yay for not bruising and booo to the scales.
Yes I used some opks then forgot a few days and didn't get a positive or near positive at all. Last month I got a def positive and no ov so who knows what is going on.
Joeve - That sucks. Stupid clomid never worked for me either! Are you going straight to IVF, would you not consider IUI first?
My FS doesn't recommend IUI for us as DH has some dodge swimmers so we are on to ivf.
Fair enough. At least with IVF they can pick the very best swimmers. I often thought about the embryologist chasing them around the petre dish grabbing them by the tail, tricky little suckers
Lmao ha ha so funny!!!
Just a question - If clomid makes you ovulate, but you still don't get pregnant, why is that? I ovulated every time, but no luck. And now I know My tubes are fine so what gives!?
Hmmm same as when you ovulate without clomid. The chances are still around 20% per cycle if everything goes right.
I guess its the same as ivf where they put the embie in and you know there is egg/sperm connection and sometimes it doesn't work either.
Hi ladies!
I don't know whether to be sad or happy to be back in here, I thought a 6 month break from TTC after years of trying would be hard but boy was I wrong! I think starting up the TTC "regime" again has been hardest, it really hit me for six when I realised what we're in for for the rest of the year.
Looking forward to catching up with you all and meeting the new faces
Welcome back toomanyshoes, hope your stay is short and sweet :)
:hello: toomanyshoes, as Joeve said, hope your stay is short and sweet.
Joeve, about clomid, I guess I just wasn't used to having 6 chances in 6 months! Woah, that was definitely a change. Wonder if they would let me try it one more time if the IUI doesn't work
Are you having any drugs with your iui?
yes, I think it will be FSH and then the trigger which is HCG (pregnyl). I just had exremely high progesterone levels when on clomid so I worry about these more fancy drugs giving me OHS (ovarian hyper-stimulation syndrome sp?)
:pink-babydust: The List :bluedust:

Sunbeam - CD 8 - IUI
Minnie - CD 11 - IVF
Mich8 - CD 14
Andie78 -CD 17 - FET

Tasha - CD 69 - 1 dpo? - nurse appt 28/2
toomanyshoes - CD 18 - 3 dpo
Joeve - CD 22 - 5 dpo
Saffy - CD 28 - 12 days post transfer - BT 23/2
Currently cycle day 18 and 3 DPO, I had forgotten how painful the wait is!
Good luck with your scan today Andie! I hope it time to schedule the FET. I lol'd at work about the ovulation celebration graduation thing :)
So Tasha - did you decide against using the applicator then? Dying to know, ha ha!
Sunbeam - It's so discouraging when the scales don't reflect your effort :( Must be the drugs... so it will just have to fall off when you stop them :) I'll be on 100 puregon a day (along with the synarel). Does that sound low? Good luck job hunting!
Joeve - have you done IVF before or will you be a newbie too?
Minnie - grow follies grow!!
Saffy - I'm losing patience waiting for your BT! Why must they torture you for so long???????????
Hi Toomanyshoes! - Nice to meet you but sorry you need to be back here. Are you doing a cycle right now? Would you like to be on the list?
Nothing's happening here, still not surging - which is ok. But I'd like to see some LH action by tomorrow - thank you...
Thanks toomanyshoes - just saw your post :) I'll add you!
Mich first time for us we had our appointment booked last year in April and got a bfp... Which then of course didn't work out.
Toomany I hear you this tww is dragging!!!
hi girls,
welcome toomanyshoes :)
andie: how did you go today ?
mich: i must have missed it but what did you graduate from ?
saffy: how are you going ? hope you are hanging in there ?
tasha: how do you feel about not trying this cycle ?
you other girls made me laugh, sunbeam im going to have your thought of the scientist chasing those sperm around now and catching them by the tails lol
afm: well im on for epu thursday morning, i feel like it is all going so quick i want to put the brakes on for a bit but at the same time i want it done :)
Mich, No applicator business for me  And yes I am 1dpo, nipples are killing me, so even without OPK I know it happened. Where is your egg!? Hurry up, what the frig are they all doing!
Minnie, Good luck for Thursday, hope it all goes smoothly:) I feel so totally bummed about sitting this cycle out. But it's only because of the ewcm I had. If I didn't have any like usual I wouldn't really have cared as much. Can't help but think maybe we should have.......
Hi everyone else :)
AFM: Slowly getting over the shock of not trying this cycle :( But on a good note, DH started his new job today. He loves it, it's still truck driving, but less physical labour with this job. Not sure if I mentioned, he had to get quarter zone injected into his knee so he had no choice but to leave his old job. Also, does anyone know if DH's are expected to come to nurses appointments?
Tasha just reading my ivf info book now yes DH has to go to to nurses with you :)
tasha: my DH hasn't made it any appointments with the nurses, he came to the appointment with the fs and thats been it. we figured it was better to save his days off for when i really needed him (which will be thursday !)
Oh really? There you go :)
Minnie I have everything crossed for you it's getting exciting :)
