I think I really have to put my TTC efforts on hold. I don't know if I want to stay with my DP. I know it probably sounds stupid after all this time but unless I know I do not want to be with this new person in my life... then I really cannot start a family with DP.
T-hopes good luck for tomorrow! What did you decide? Is it an egg pick up tomorrow and then IVF or is it IUI? (Sorry i'm a bit confused on the technicalities but also with the BB threads going nuts-o there's all these posts missing as well as multiple threads going at once it's also hard to read back and try and figure it out on my own!) Lucky you with the grand final tickets (not that i'm an AFL football fan:redface: - we're a rugby family- but i hear they are hard to get?) Something (else) to look forward to : ) (By the way: that's meant to be a red face above in my post but i think BB still has some glitches cos although it said 'red face' in the smiley box it looks more like a smug grin to me!)

Hello everyone
This is just a quick update as I've been taking a break from BB. My scan at 7 weeks wasn't good news. There was a pg sack but no embryo. I was told to come back in a week and the pg sack had grown but it was still empty. The Dr said it's a missed mc.
I have an appointment with my FS on Wednesday to book a D & C as it could be weeks for a spontaneous mc to happen.
I am quite devastated and once I'm over this I hope I'm ready to try again.

ALice-hi love, did you get the resul;ts of the BT yet? Hope its good. I got vile headaches from the syneral and I couldn't lift my head or have the lights on, has it gone away yet?
SammyP- I think the US people can see the follicles ( they just haven't grown yet) which shows that there are lots of eggs left, sounds like your scan went well :crossfingers: I would definately go to Bali, even if you are pregnant you can travel up until about 30-something weeks ( depending on your risk factors) and around the 20wk mark is the best time i think. I constantly put things off cos of thinking I might be pregnant but I am sick of it so am organising a trip to UK next year to visit DH's family.

AFM- well I am in no man's land. Contrary to what I insisted was going to happen my spotting stopped after 2 days, nothing since, no AF, no pregnancy symptoms at all so I guess I am just waiting to see whats going to happen. Because I think I O'd the Friday after stopping my meds, AF probably wouldn't even be due until end of this week?? I did a POAS today but it was BFN, which I knew would be the case as I have completely soft boobies so am sure I am not pregnant. Will just have to wait it out. My hormones are all over the place too I am teary and had a massive fight w DH on Sat just before we left to go up to my sisters for her birthday.:rolleyes:
HappyBaby, oh darling, I'm so so sorry :cry: :hug: I wish there was something I could do or say to make things better for you and to take away the pain and grief of your loss. It is absolutely devastating, so unfair. Sending you lots of love for Wednesday, I will be thinking of you and hoping that everything goes OK and you have a good recovery. Ferrals, my heart broke reading about your DH's little girl and her grief over loosing Abbie. I just want these next few weeks to fly by so you can get your good news and let the joy start spreading in the family for this baby. How lovely to feel it wriggling away in your tum - seems like such a strong little one I can't help but feel positive and look forward to you being able to celebrate and enjoy this pregnancy like you deserve. x

Saffy, thanks, the headache has been going for three days now. Not a migraine, just a really bad headache that I can't seem to shake. Never had this before so don't know if it is linked to the drugs or a sinus infection (which I'm a bit prone too). Feel super crap though which is disappointing after being generally well for the past few months. Trying to take it easy and rest but not sleeping well either so all in all a bit blah. How are you going? Has AF showed her face? When is your test date? Are you going to test?? Hope you are working on those holiday plans x
Now to catch up with everyone else - will go back and read through what I've missed in the past few days of being under the weather.

oh Saffy, just read the end of your post. Sorry you had a fight with your DH but totally understandable when you feel your hormones are all over the place. I hope you've been able to sort things out and that your evening wasn't all bad. It's great that the spotting stopped...and I hope she stays away - lots of women say they don't get any symptoms to begin with so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed :stickyvibesboy: :stickyvibesgirl:
Damprye, I'm sorry things are so up in the air with your DP :hug: trying to conceive is hard enough without that going on too, I agree with you that maybe it's best to see how things work out before trying again. In the meantime you could start taking the Vitex and hopefully then if things do improve you will have had some time to get your hormones working a bit better for you. I remember telling my DH I was going to have another pregnyl shot just so I could get a phone call from the clinic saying I was pg 'cause I'd never had that. Didn't need to in the end but funny thinking of it now. Hope you get another two-liner very soon!
Hi Possum! Congrats on the new job. Did you get a break inbetween this and the old one? I think you did the right thing and hopefully you've tempted fate and you'll have to have that 12 week conversation after all!
SammyP, that's great news about your egg reserve! Are you going to be trying around 'o' now you know which day it will be? With the trip to Bali, I would definitely go. I have put off so many things in the past ten years in the anticipation that I might be pg by then - staying in jobs so I could get the maternity leave even when I hated them, not committing to family holidays - I would definitely agree to go. A friend told me recently that you can get travel insurance if you are doing IVF and have to cancel a trip. Your family would all understand and it might be that you are well enough to go anyway. You know that old saying - life is what happens to us while we are busy making plans - make some plans and have something exciting to look forward to! x
MatthewsMum, hope the break this month helps and you have a renewed energy for things soon. I haven't heard of that treatment but I have heard that in the States it is common to remove any remaining tubes once one has been taken out due to complications. Even the TCM practitioner recommends it, which is interesting. I've been having herbs to help clean mine out and will be taking antibiotics to help with any possible low level infections with this cycle. Let us know what you find out and enjoy spending time with your family this month x
Sunbeam, I hope you enjoyed having the baby to stay. Oh they smell so good, don't they? I loved reading about your hope blanket, I think that is a lovely idea. I crochet too - started by doing baby blankets for friends. I have a half finished one in there that I look at and wonder if it will be for me. AFM, well missed my bt yesterday 'cause I just wasn't feeling well enough for a three hour round trip so went this morning. Still got a bad headache but hope it goes soon - shoulders are very stiff and sore so don't know whether I'm fighting off a bug or if it is from the drugs, either way I think I must be a bit stressed because of the tension in my back and neck so I'm going to organise a massage and hope that makes things better. No more news yet - will pop in later to see how T-hopes went x

Sammpy P - I'm with the others I would definitely book the holiday and get insurance so if you want to cancel for some reason you can just get a Dr. to say you are too sick to go. I'm booked on a cruise on the 21-30th Oct and if I don't get pg this time I won't be able to go but I wanted to risk it because I was sick of everything being on hold.
Alice - You poor thing I can't believe it is a 3 hour round trip for your bt, I'm so lucky my clinic is 20 mins away. I hope you aren't getting sick, I've got a cold so maybe we are just copying each other this cycle :lol:. A massage sounds like a great idea. When is your first scan?
Hi to everyone else.
AFM - Well I am just busting with excitement. I had my scan and I have 14 follies, 6 on the left all about 13mm and 8 on the right at 13-17mm. I started the antagonist injection today (can't remember what its called) and have another bt wednesday with the plan for EPU on friday :hooray: I know we now have to get through collection, and fertilisation and cell devision but the first hurdle is over.:dance: So gald EPU is friday rather than monday as originally planned as I then have the w/e to recover, any tips?
Also I saw GP on saturday and she said it is fine for me to stay on the Vitex. The other GP in the practise works closely with my FS and has for a long time and all her ladies are on it till week 12 so that has made my mood heaps better again.
Almost forgot. Having the little bub at my place was awesome. He slept in my bed and I got up for him throught the night (was exhausted the next day but didn't care). He is so gorgeous and smelled so good and so tiny (he was only 5lb6oz at birth 3 weeks ago) I WANT ONE !!!
The clinic just called to say my estrogen is 6500 which is very high. She rattled off a list of possible symptoms but thankfully I feel fine. She told me to reduce tomorrow's FSH and miss wednesdays all together. Anyone know if this is a major problem? I've pm'ed Ferrals because I know it is something she struggled with. They said to keep up heaps of water and protien. Any other advice would be welcomed.

Happybaby-i am so sorry hun hope you are feeling better real soon.
Sunbeam-6500 is nothing as long as you feel ok my E2 got to 16,429 and i had no sign of overstim i was full of follicles that is why it got so high the cycle i just done my E2 got to just over 12,000 my FS were not concerned at all because my body seems to handle it and she said on an antagonist cycle with orgalutran it is very unlikely you will overstim i did become more uncomfortable after embryo TF because i got pregnant and when you get pregnant the hormones increase and your ovaries stay large for ages at my 12 week scan they were still huge and full of fluid i just drank heaps of water and rested the more you move and over do it the more uncomfortable you will feel i found that out the hard way i just had to vaccum upstairs and boy did i pay for it.
My FS also kept me injecting even with high E2 so i guess everyone is different just if you dont feel well let them know.

Strange I was going to ask Ferrals exactly the same question about level because I got my bt done today and they told me everything is fine and to have another test and scan Wednesday but I didn't ask what the level was so I will call tomorrow. It's good that you are feeling OK and surely they won't cancel when you compare to Ferrals level?? Hope so anyway. Let us know how you are feeling tomorrow.

AFM: I have two weeks off before i start my new job. Not really much of a holiday though because most of the time i'll have DD at home. What i mean is: the two weeks won't be that different from life as usual. I was meant to have a couple of days to myself but one of them went down the gurgler because DD is germy and couldn't go to child care grrrr! Only about my second day to myself ever since she was born so i'm disappointed. But...what can you do?
A bit nervous about what the new job will be like and trying not to think about it too much and freak myself out!
Possum- new jobs are never as bad as you get yourself worked up for, it usually only takes a few weeks to settle in, hope the people are nice! Where are you up to in your cycle?

Happybaby - I am so sorry this had to happen to you. I have come to dread scans. It's really hard to go in with high expectations of seeing bub and hearing the worst.
Possum - A new job is a good idea. I was offered a job while I was pregnant last Christmas. We hadn't told anyone else at that time as I was only around 7 or 8 weeks but I didn't want to start a job and then have to tell them a couple of weeks later so I was upfront and my boss was fine. He said they would just work around it. Sadly I lost that little one and the another one after that but at least I know the boss would be fine if I did get pregnant. Sorry you didn't get any time to yourself. I never know what to do with myself when I do get time these days but the pedicure and coffee that Saffy is having sounds great.
AFM - DH nearly went through the roof last night when I showed him that my blood tests came to $450.00 Actually it was $760.00 but it lists a discount, not sure why. I told him I think we can claim more back from it as there is an information sheet that says something about only having to be out of pocket $150 if they are done on the same day. Not sure. Poor DH. I don't think he realises how much we are paying these days for specialists and scans and tests and then other kinds of support if we do get pregnant. DH's brother and sister in law are in Canada and they have spent around $70,000 on IVF because it isn't covered over there and they have also had some in the US and had to pay for it themselves. All to no avail as well. They are currently going through the process of adopting from Africa. I can't see DH making that kind of commitment to this.

Alice-when i went for my EPU and embie TF there were muslim women there with the hairest legs i have ever seen on ladies so i am sure the poor doc's have seen the worst of over growth but i was the same i made sure my bit's were nice and neat and i had 4 doctors at embryo TF two were training and they all commented on my fabulous pelvic floor so they do take notice lol.
Possum magic-My holidays are the same i have my boys my step daughter my mother inlaw and my friend two kids (im baby sitting ) so my holiday is more work than work.
T-Hopes-we only need one of those 10 million to hit the spot my fingers are crossed.
Saffy-Sneaky BFP are the best hope you get one.

SammyP-isnt it sad that people that would make great parents and try everything to have them are the ones that have the most trouble nature can be cruel.
Crafty-47 we agreed you would give it all you have got until at least then becuase lot's of ladies have fallen pregnant up to the age of 47 i watched a show on CSI on fox were a mother (if you would call her that )had kids up to the age of 51 the birth of her last baby was 51 so it is possible even though she did not deserve it she abused her kids and one ended up a serial killer but the point is she was 51 so it can be done keep your chin up and try to see the positive you are a fantastic mum of 9 beautiful children and will be an awesome nan to heaps of grandkiddies so we can just keep hopeing that you will be blessed once more to complete that magic number 10.
If your dream doesnt come true you have 9 kids that need their mum and are very lucky to have you for a mum so be proud of what you have achieved there are a lot of ferrals out there that cant handle one child let alone 9 so i think you are fab and need to stop getting down on yourself live life to the fullest enjoy your little ones while thay are still little they grow so quickly and before you know they are grown up and moved out health and happiness and our family is all we need in life so go and have a look at those beautiful little eyes of your little terrors and see what you have infront of you and get back on that ttc horse and just let it happen if it's ment to.
We are all here for you which ever way it turns out.

They don't do so many as they used to, just check bloods so I'm not complaining I've had enough dildo cam for one woman's lifetime. I told the nurse if you could get frequent flyer points for it I'd be on my way to the North Pole by now! Hope those follies are fattening up nicely

AFM well I seem to be fighting off a cold - at least I hope it's only a cold - so not feeling great. Could do with a lazy day at home but have to go in to city again today to see the TCM doc so will take it easy until then. Had a lovely dream this morning that I had a little girl but was probably just on my mind 'cause I read MurrayCod is having a girl last night before going to bed. Still, nice to think about.

My friend Carrie who lost her bub in Dec and is now pg again is haveing a boy so happy for her as she has 2 girls and lost a boy last year !!
Well I am doing ok I think half my problem is I am scared incase it never happens so am trying to be prepaired for the worst but as DH says we can do it and we will just have to keep going,
Can anyone tell me if you do an opk and don't get a full darker line to show LH surge does that mean your not ovulating at all or if its the faintest faintest line then does it just mean LH surge is not as strong as it should be ? just wondering as I tried the Clear blue fertility monitor and could never get a result and now the opks are very very faint I mean only just there the last 2 days !!!
You would be ovulating but i would say your hormones are just not as strong as they use to be the OPK line has to be as dark or darker to be a positive i found the clear blue fertility monitor read my hormones better at night so did the OPK's my hormones were stronger after 2pm i dont know why they just were if the OPK's are not working for you try the temp method you might see O comming that way.

Crafty - Did you take anyone up on the offer of counselling after your consultation with the specialist? I don't think seeing a counsellor means having to say goodbye to your plans to have another baby. It would be great to see you pregnant again soon but in the meantime I worry that the added stress of moving house has made things harder for you. I haven't given up on the idea of having just one more but I am looking into counselling at the moment so that I can cope better with whatever life has planned for me.
Speaking of stress, I mentioned my brother and sister in law a couple of days ago and how, after failed IVF, they are going to adopt from Africa. Well MIL rang this morning with the news that BIL has cancer. That in itself is devastating but I fear it also means the end of their dreams to adopt. They are such lovely people, it's hard to believe such bad things keep happening to them.
Ferrals I am so sorry they messed up good and proper but on the bright side the scan and skin fold results were good so hang on in there not much longer until 16wks ! I am sure you will be fine this little bub is going to be good and strong like his mum or her mum which ever it might be,

AFM well good news my opk was a good line today the same colour as the control line so I am guessing I am a go for ovulation in the next 24hrs or so, feel so much better seeing those two lines , DTD last night and will do again tomorow or maybe sneak one in later if DH is up for it IYKWIM lol poor love his man cold is on the mend so FX he is standing to attention later on !!!!

Alice it's actually 3 weeks i have to wait we are not doing another cvs just early morph scan.
When the geneticist rang i actually laughed when he told me i said surely you are joking two people cant have that much bad luck.
He wanted me to go to RNSH and have another cvs today i said what for they could f#ck the whole thing up again it's to late for a normal termination so no i wont be having anymore invasive testing until there is a sign on u/s of a problem.
I am scared and disapointed we still cant get excited or buy anything we are just in limbo and i am missing out on my pregnancy by the time we know if everything is ok i will be halfway.
I really wanted to avoid what we went through with Abbi now we are going through the same thing.
But DH and i agreed either way this bub will now be born either at 19 weeks or full term and will be part of our family and we have to get through it together( i love my man so much).
Crafty-woohoo on the OPK have fun BDing.

In the slowlane- :rofl: You can NOT have felt your boobs more than me in the last week! I seriously am sick of myself doing it, have sore nipples now but I'm sure they are bruised rather than anything else. Thank god I was busy at work last night I didn't have a chance to feel myself up lol.
