I'm going to head out of here and try be positive that everything will be fine with my Pregnancy. I will pop in from time to time though and see how you are all going. You will all be in my thoughts and I'll be sending lots of :bluedust::stickyvibesgirl:

hello all, back from a brilliant holiday, now to face reality- not so much fun lol.

Sunbeam- hows the sperm selection going?
I am wavering between wanting to jump straight into an FET, or trying naturally for a few months, might wait until Dh's 40th is over with, then do a cycle in Nov.
Had a crack this month, don't really know when i O'd or am Oing but guess it is about now as I have had ewcm for 3 days, so DTD last night, it would be a miracle tho.
Hope everyone is well, will come back with persies soon ( I"m on holidays for 2 more weeks so plenty of time for BB lol)

AFM - Well huge news, I have SPERM! WHooo. I met him on the donor site that I had been going through. He is 52 but looks 40, gay guy with a lovely partner (they've been together 27 years!) he is half Mauri and is very good looking. We all had drinks together last night and he is just perfect. He totally wants to be involved but is also totally respectful of my wishes and he only lives 20 mins away which is just an added bonus. He has had all his health checks done and is happy to start right away. I got AF yesterday so we should be good to go this cycle :dance:. I have booked a scan with FS for tomorrow morning because I was worried I was going to have another really light AF like last month but it seems to be picking up a bit so hopefully it will be a good one. It won't hurt to check it out anyway.

Saffy best of luck for this cycle. So sorry about your loss. How many frosties do you have in the freezer?

I got full flow AF this morning so I have to organise my CD10 scan etc etc. I feel strangely glad that this full flow is here, I thought I would be devastated. But now I get to move on.

maruschke- thanks, we've got 2 day 6 blasties. From this cycle we've already used 2 fresh blasties (chem preg), then a day 5 blasty was my misc, so its up to these last 2! Sorry to see you had a recent loss too, I hope things go well his month. I find the days leading up to AF's arrival are the worst, once she's here you just have to get on with it and start afresh, GL xx

sunbeam- wow he sounds perfect!! So glad you are getting into it already, he sounds more mature than your other donors, so Im sure he won' let you down xx

afm- still had some ewcm but had to put a hold on dtd as the antibiotics I took gave me :tmi: thrush, hopefully I have O'd now and can get on with a tww or getting AF. Will have a chat tonight with DH about whether to go ahead with a FET or wait, he usually just does what i want though.

Yick thrush, have you tried the clove of garlic? Worked for me last time I had it...

No, I've never tried that, usually go for natural yoghurt, but *sorry about this TMI* Dh has it as well so i got the cream for him and the one-off tablet for me to blast it out of my system. I know, its gross, lucky it is not a common event for me.

Hope AF is being kind, did you have a natural m/c or a D&C? I'm thinking my AF may be heavy after a D&C but can't remember.

Natural m/c, thankfully. I really like the one-off tablet... especially when I am having treatment (I got thrush a lot when on clomid, yuck). :hug:

Hi all still here just not replying much I am currently day 33 so maybe late not sure as last month had 43 days so too scared to test as hate having Bfns just had my 2yr anniversary since mc so feels like the end of the line

Is it normal for AF to be very clotty after an early loss? It's heavy and clotty, nothing like normal.

M my bleeds at time of m/c were. My AF some weeks later weren't.

I'm so confused about whether this is AF or m/c. If I started full flow yesterday, am I CD2, or do I need to wait for another bleed in a few weeks?

I was told you don't count your m/c bleed as AF. Sorry you are going through this x

I'm so confused. I will ask the FS when I see him tomorrow. I was hoping today was CD2 so that I could get moving with the next IUI, and I need to start taking femara...

Have you had bleeding for a misc already?
When I m/c at 5 wks, I had heavy bledding and cramps for 3 days then longer than normal bleeding ( maybe a week), I can't remember what my next AF was like though, I think it was either normal or lighter??
How manyweeks has it been since your loss?

I started spotting 4 days ago (for 2 days), followed by 2 days of heavy bleeding with clots. This is the mc. I was just wondering if it was the mc AND AF? If that makes sense? I need to start femara CD3.

hmm yeah thats confusing, I guess it isn't AF ( but its sort of same thing) but you would probably still start the tablets on CD3 ( CD1 being the day of red bleeding), maybe check with your Dr if you can? Don't know if they are receptive to phonecalls. Sorry to ask so many details, also I'm chasing you around BB, just replied to another thread of yours in MC/loss section xx

Isn't it strange we all get told difference things no wonder we are all confused! I think call your fs and follow their instructions is best.

Hi Girls,

Saffy- I got told a great way to treat thrush naturally. Rinse (up there!) 2x a day for 3 days with 1/4 white vinegar 3/4 water that kills off the bad bacteria then pop an inner health plus up there to replace the good bacteria, works brilliantly. Sometimes if I think I'm getting it I use the inner health plus straight away and it seems to stop it. I hope it is all fixed up now anyway.

Maruschke - Sorry I have no idea about AF and MC dates. I know after my early losses I considered the bleed my AF but my last 2 mc were D & C's I think my first AF after was quite light.

Crafty - Glad you are still with us babe we miss you.

AFM - I had my scan and even though my AF was light it all looked fine. My bloods from last cycle were also perfect. I was a bit disappointed that FS's response to anything now seems to be "well things change with age". Maybe I am being more sensitive now I'm 40 but he never used to mention my age much at all before so it feels like 2 months ago it was fine but now its an issue. I understand that fertility drops but its not like it happens on your birthday surely! Anyway I am still totally wrapped in my new donor and he and his partner are coming for dinner on tuesday. I will discuss it with him but I think we should do 3 months on our own and if no joy we should go to the new FS that I have a referral for and pretend to be a couple and go straight into IUI because I had lots of success with that before. We can't do it with my current FS as it would be considered donor sperm and we'd have to freeze it for 6 months and use it from frozen! Lets hope there's no need for any of that though, come on my sl**ty eggs get partying :dance:

I wanted to ask a personel question if you don't mind when you inseminate at home what do you use ? as I am thinking of Trying it myself to make sure the sperms get to the right place iykwim sorry if I offend ! I was so down yesterday as I did a poas and got a BFN of course but I still have sore BBs and feel nauseas so I have no idea what my body is up to and sometimes I just feel so damn fed up with it all and I know that doesn't help but you know how that feels to still be trying after all this time and some of the girls already had babies are now on to number 2 makes you realize just how long we been in here TOO LONG !!!!

:lol: Thanks saffy I know you understand and I know I am on here with kids already but that empty feeling after your D&C is just so hard to live with when you see plenty of girls come and go in these threads and most of them end up with a baby at the end of the line just wish it was the same for all of us we have all suffered a loss god works in misterious ways I guess some just have to work that much harder at it the end result I mean, Thanks for the comment about basting lol seems rediculous really but when your desperate you try anything well nearly anything :o

My DH has begged me to go to the Drs for a check up just to see if there is anything can be done for my hormones ie the mood swings and maybe regular ovulation I know I am cluctching at straws here but its only hormones right they can turn a man into a women with hormones so surely they can help a women whos 46 acheive regular ovulation with the few eggs shes got left and maybe get back to a regular 29day cycle instead of 40 odd days !

Hi Crafty I'm so sorry you got a BFN. I'm not offended at all sweetie (in fact I'm about the least offendable person you'll ever know! :lol:) I use a 5 mil syringe with a catheter on the end. I got the syringe from the chemist like the one you use to measure baby medicine etc. and the catheter from FS it's like the one he uses for IUI it just helps me get the sperm as close as pos to my cervix (never through the cervix). I can give you a few more details but might PM you those as they might be TMI! I also use pre seed to help give them a bit more sperm friendly fluid to swim in and help the catheter slide in easier.

As for other things you can do. I swear by my vitex but that had bad affects for you so maybe a naturopath might have a different option to balance your hormones. I also ordered on the net some DHEA which is supposed to help the viability of older eggs, haven't tried it yet but figured it can't hurt. The only other thing I have noticed is that this year I have been quite strict with my diet and exercise and so far, for the first year in 5 years of charting, I have not had one single cycle where I have not o'ed! That is pretty impressive given that 3,4,5 years ago I was having 4-5 anovulatory cycles per year. The diet, bit of weight loss and regular exercise have definitely been key in this for me.

I know it is depressing and I know none of us has anyway of knowing if it'll ever happen but we will cling to hope and the inspiration that it does happen to other women.

We had a terrible one, our little man (Frank, a cat) has been diagnosed with renal failure, it is a terminal disease, he is only 4 yo!! We are shattered, he is mummy's baby and is my source of support during lttc/ivf, I don't know how I will say goodbye to him when I have to :crying:

Sorry about the 'me' post but I can't even think about doing a cycle/ttc now, i cannot believe this has happened exactly 3 wks after I had a miscarriage, the universe needs to give a girl a break for god's sake!!!!

Oh Saffy that is horrible news, you poor thing, and so soon after your mc too. :comfort: Our pets are our babies right now, I can't imagine having to lose my little fur girl. There are no words :cry:

I'm really nervous about this new cycle. Last cycle's m/c has thrown me off a little. I'm not in a fantastic head space and worried about how I'd cope if we lose another bub. Wondering if I should pull out now before the anxiety gets worse? If it happens again I'm going to be a basket case.

Maruschke - It sound like you need some relaxation and visualisation stuff. I do pregnancy yoga and have a hypnosis/visualisation script recorded on my mp3. Some clinics have meditation/visualisation CDs for sale or contacts for people who run classes for this. Stress will definitely not help so if you feel it is going to be too stressful you might want to wait till you are in a calmer head space. Good luck :hug:

afm: as i said above i really don't know what im doing, my feeling to ttc is indifferent, i was hoping the answer as to whether to continue would just come to me but it hasn't. my DD starts school in a few months & my DS just went into a big bed, i cried when the cot came out of the room because another baby should have gone into the cot by now so im thinking maybe our lives are moving on in another direction....i just don't know :shakehead:
we also had a guy we know commit suicide last week & i have taken it really hard, was just such a shock (& still is) & i think because of the recent m/c i felt it even more strongly :crying:

Just clomid, and yes it makes my depression / anxiety worse til after O. So I guess I'll be a little more solid in the TWW (Ha! what a joke!). Sorry to hear that the meds affect you too, have a :grouphug:. Have you decided to go ahead with a FET?

No, I'm not seeing FS for another 3 wks, will have gotton af by then, I have pmt now so I think she will arrive sometime next week. I'll think about FET after that, not sure what i want to do.

Clomid did the exact same thing for me, I'm on letrazole but its used the same as clomid and same shtty effects, worst luck. Its tragic when the tww is mentally more calming than the start of your cycle! Glad I'm not the only one who experiences this, but I'm sorry you have to go through it. I think its putting me off doing another cycle, I wish my stupid body would do unmedicated fets. Between the stress of my cat and drug indiced anxiety/depression I think it would tip me over the edge!
