Hi RonniKris and welcome. I'm sorry to hear that your cycle hasn't gone the way you expected. But the good news is that 2dts (2 day transfers) are quite common in Australia and plenty of women have success with them. FX that little emby you've got on board is a fighter.

I am assuming everyone in here recieved the ivf friends newsletter? if you do please make sure you read the letter written by a woman going through infertility it's an amazing story of determination very inspiring that after all the heartbreak she is still soldiering on.
I start sniffing tommorrow can't wait lol everyone else looks at me weird when I say that.
I am very much looking forward to the weekend of having two days off so I can have some down time and catch my breath

    Hi Lovely ladies
Trueblue ~ I know we should be right but still something I want to think about. A Back up plan I guess. The needles should be nothing for you - they dont bother me so you should be right if you've got tatts. Hope you get your bed soon xo

Babytruj ~ Welcome back. GL with this cycle. FX for you!

MWB ~ Me 2! Im def not having a life without children but FX we both get our own kids - flesh and blood. I think the test is a great idea, then you know how things are tracking and fairing. GL with it all xo

Rob ~ thanks hun. If the next time doesnt work I might even register for adoption because you could always pull out of it if you end up getting pg naturally or with IVF and then the next person in line will have a chance to have a child. Thats the way I look at it. Hope you are well xo

JBM ~ GL with it all, glad you're not finding the Synarel too bad.

RonniKris ~ Hi and . Im sorry you only got the 1 but remember all it takes is one. And there has been plenty of success with a 2 day transfer. Wishing you all the best and

Ronnikris - a big welcome to you and hoping that little emby you have on board is a wee fighter. FX the 2ww treats you kindly
Loops - how you doing hun? Hopefully none of us will have to make the decision of whether to adopt or not cos its about time we had loads of good news in here!!
Trueblue - happy sniffing!! Over in NZ, we have had heaps of farms converting to dairy cos a couple of years ago, the dairy farmers got massive payouts from Fonterra (who is our major dairy company here) so heaps of sheep farmers decided they wanted a piece of the pie so converted
JBM - your posts always have something n them to make me smile so thanks hun and hi right back at you
KT8 - welcome to you too and good luck for tomorrow. I had my first EPU in February and it was nowhere near as bad as I was expecting - don't remember a thing. I was getting sore that evening so def keep up the panadol. Your follies look good, I had a similar amount and was fine OHSS-wise, just a bit of normal bunged-up bloating. Dried apricots were my friend!! Hope you have an awesome result tomorrow
MWB - hope your appoinment goes well and you get some good answers
Babytruj - YAY for being bak on the ttc train again!! Hope the drugs are being kind to you as well
Me - I have been plagued by headaches and migraines from the HRT, driving me barmy. On a cheerier note, my head is far too sore to go for a run so I will just have to sit at home on my bum!!! Hopefully FET will go ahead tomorrow - its really scary only having the one emby to play with so hoping like mad that it survives. Otherwise it will be chocolate and coffee for lunch and wine for dinner.

K78 - eat lots of protein - egg whites, chicken breasts - that will also help keep OHSS away, and it's good for you in general. I was on 8 egg whites a day - to help get rid of my OHSS.

Mummawannabe, I don't know much about increasing egg quality I'm afraid, but see what your FS says - they should be able to give you more info.

JBM - remind me what you're sniffing and what it does again? I have never sniffed stuff for IVF - just tablets and injections

RonniKriss - welcome here, the girls are full of information, and it's great finding people who are going through what you are. I don't know about 2 day transfer. I'm in Singapore, and with my age (under 37) they will transfer #3, day 3 embryo's, or #2, day 5 (blastocyst) embryo's. We want blastocysts transfered so they will only transfer 2 here. I do have a lot of eggs - there were 32 eggs fertilised, but only 11 survived and were frozen, so I had a lot more to play with than you, and still "lost" a lot. A lot of them were not equal cells, or did not continue to grow. It is normal to "loose" some of the eggs. And you don't want any implanted that are no good anyway.

Rob, thanks for checking in on us. PM me, I would love to hear how you are getting along now!

Hope everyone has a good weekend planned

Melisa - What did you go through to prepare for the FET? Have you done it before, and what does it involve? I'm on assisted FET - so have proganova tablets and Lucrin jabs, then a scan on 24th to see if lining all ok, and then what?

we are fonterra suppliers over here in australia lol and our bosses are from nz lol.
we do once a year calving and we sync the cows in with pg so we know when they will calve and it's a pretty heavy calving down lol so I have a really really good understanding of what we are about to go through with the iui lol there's not much difference lol.
Had some drama last night my baby sister who is due for her second daughter in 4 1/2 weeks time got the start of pre eclampsia so was rushed to hospital she's now home but on bed rest and meds and pretty much going day to day but she has to put up with headaches for the rest of the pregnancy the only way they can get rid of them is delivery the baby. Poor bugger she's all the way up in darwin with her husband so she's so far away from us. The hospital has been great though they are going to be keeping a very close watch on her

I'm going to be hanging around in here though to keep up to date with how everyone else is going and see a few more success stories.

Hi girls popping in for a hello XXXXX
Will be able to come annoy you girls next month, am doing my second stim cycle and am getting pretty excited about it!!
Since FET was cancelled we have had a little break, getting a few tests done in the mean while.
Has anyone here had an endometrium biopsy to test for NKcells?? Will be having one done next week and am pretty nervouse about it!

Loops, huggs to you darling XX

Melissal wishing you all the best for tomorrow, I will be praying for a healthy thaw tomorrow XXX My FET was cancelled the other month because my lining was no good, and I haven't had the gutts to thaw only 1 blasty since then....lost my nerve!
I hope your head feels better XXX

Enjoy your weekend off TrueBlue, and happy sniffing!XX

Ronnikriss welcome darling, the girls here are very welcoming and friendly, you will make some great friends X Happy journeys X

JBM, darling, hope you are well. I just wanted to say thank you, for dropping by on me now and then, you are a wonderfull lady X I hope your bloods and scan on the 19th goes to plan XXX Happy sniffing to you too!

MummaWB, I hope you can get some answers, I totally know where you are comming from.
I requested immunology testing and NKcell testing this month, much to FS's non enthusiasm, he stated we don't really qualify for those certain tests unless we have had 3 unsuccesfull Stim cycles and Blasty transfers. (he obviously not paying my IVF bills!!) He wanted me to do anoth stim straight up, to which I said I didn't feel confident to go again untill I had the tests done. He gave in.
So good on you for wanting to think outside the box a bit, it can't hurt, and can only make you feel more confident, for when you have another try.
    Darling goodluck XXXXX

K78, have you had your trigger?? If so, good luck tomorrow, honey it's the unknown that is scary, but it will be ok, you will have a great sleep and it will all be done XXX Let us know how you go XXX

    Juniper, Huggs X

Rob, lovely to see you are doing well X

Sorry if I missed anyone XX Have a great weekend XX

Hi and thanks wonderful ladies xoxox

Rob ~ I was a dairy farmer too LOL. DH and I were sharefarming for 3 yrs up until a year ago. It was just too much with me having another job off farm too. Ive always had my own job and only started dairying when I met DH so not really my interest either. So we quit and bought a house in town. I do miss the land and the cows but not the actual milking and the stress that went with it all. We were also in a very old place and were having numerous breakdowns etc and the owner didnt want to put any money into the place. DH is still dairying for someone down the road.
Hope you are all doing well including your little bean!

Melissa ~ Not too bad, thanks for asking. I hope to see some more BFP's in here soon too. Need some inspiration. You hopefully very soon! If not choccy and wine is always very good. But think pos, sending you lots of

Trueblue ~ Sorry about your sis hun. Oh that would be horrid, I have a headache now and would absolutely be mortified if I had it for 4.5 weeks. I hope they go and the pre-eclamsia threat goes away xo. How's the sniffing going?

CK77 ~ Wow congrats! Sending you lots of positive and sticky vibes that its healthy and not ectopic.

Murraycod ~ Thanks hun, hugs to you too xo. GL with the test and the cycle, very exciting! you get BFP soon.

AFM ~ Pretty sure AF is on her way which is good. I think the timing is about right. I mean I havent had AF for 2 months because of my cycle and the loss but I think that is pretty normal. Looking forward to AF (weird to say) so that we can move forward and keep trying. And maybe we'll get pg on our holiday in Tassie (9th May).

hi ladies, just a quick update.
have had to cancell this cycle due to finances not being available on time arggg. but we won't get charged anyway for this one. praying for next month cycle to be fine for us.

good thing is the synarel can be used again, so no more sniffing for now, next month.

    hope time goes by quickly.

JBM - ohhh that sucks about your finances bt glad that you won't get charged for it. Hope that this next month is the one
Babytruj - I was on progynova tabs as well plus progesterone pessaries 3xdaily - gross! I think it was the tabs that have been creating havoc but FX things are starting to settle down now. I was quite surprised that I didn't have to have a scan because all I had were progesterone BT and can't quite figure out what that was meant to show. However I am no expert!!!
Loops - woohoo to impending AF!!!!! Hoping that you can get a holiday bubba out of it too
Murraycod - welcome back!!! Thanks, it was a bit nerve wracking waiting today to hear if our 1 little emby had survived but luckily it was perfect - phew!! Good luck for this cycle
Tantee - hi there and hope you are doing ok
CK - huge congrats sweety and wishing you a very H&H 9 months
Trueblue - oh your poor sister - hope her and bub are both doing well
As mentioned, snowbub played the game and thawed beautifully which was a huge relief. Literally spent the morning pacing waiting to hear. Has anyone else had a really uncomfortable transfer? My first was a breeze but this one was a bit ouchy. Sorry if tmi but they had huge difficulties getting the catheter through my cervix - ouch!!! And apparently I have a retroverted ute - is this something that is permament or do they move round? I am so ignorant. Anywho we were told we probably wouldn't see anything during transfer because of the tilt but we all saw it really clearly. Saw the little flash on the screen - very very cool. Hope you all have a lovely weekend

Melissal I am so glad to hear the thaw went well!!! Seems to be a tough Blastie you have there!! Ouch about the transfer.
Not sure about retriverted uterus, I have heard of them but don't know much.
I pray that your TWW is kind to you XXXXX

Loops darling, sending AF vibes your way !!

JBM, oh darling so sorry you got your cycle cancelled. That sucks, hope you are ok XX
Well you can cycle with me next month XX

    Hi all
Thank you for your follow up, yes, I had the egg retrieval this morning. Am now just up and about, wow, it was quite sore afterwards, had lots of painkillers though which helped. I've realised I have an ebarrassingly low pain tolerance!!
Anyhow, they retrieved 9 eggs today, will get a phone call tomorrow to see how many have fertilised. Fingers crossed. I had the u/s on Wednesday and there were 15 eggs then so I was surprised only 9 were retrieved today or is that the norm? Sorry if silly questions but this is still all quite new to me.
Best wishes for all of you wherever you are at with your cycles.
Think it's time for another snooze... zzz Good night, will check back on tomorrow
