Hi to everyone else.

I just got back from my gp. Had a little meltdown after a simple 'how's the ivf going?'. Arrgh - I thought I was fine but the tears just started welling up. 5 minutes later I was fine again. I was so embarrassed - I haven't had a public cry in a looong time.

Oneday ~ thanks for your lovely wishes hun and same to you - hugs. Interesting about the Menevit as my FS recommended it. But my DH is also on couple of other fertility tablets from my uncle who is a naturopath. Im also on some as well such as Chase Tree which helps an embryo to stick and other fertility benefits. GL with the results, FX, everything is ok.

True ~ Very interesting to hear the new FS's opinions on Menevit - I only just bought some more for DH too :wall: Oh well he may as well give them a shot anyway. Hope everythings moving quickly towards your FET.

Saffy ~ Could well of been implantation - FX it was. You wouldnt neccessarily have PG symptoms - I believe many woman dont get any symtoms until a few weeks into the pregnancy. GL hun

Kaybee ~ looking forward to cycling with you again, all the best hun!

AFM ~ Getting very excited now, getting very close. Also my body is mental - i have bit of brown bleeding again (sorry TMI), even though im on the pill etc so could be just an early AF it's very very early for me :dunno:

Loops -I spotted the whole time I was on the BCP, its pretty common esp if its a low dose- annoying though!!
I should have bought shares in a panty liner company years ago lol

Hello beautiful ladies!!

I'm so sorry I haven't been in here in a while!!

I hope everyone is well and surviving the whole process. It's definitely a loooong road.
I'm nearing closer to the end of it (I hope!!) I am in the final days of my TWW and my pregnancy blood test is scheduled for this Fri 24th Sept at 7.45am..they said I should have results by end of that day as I'm doing it at my IVF clinic. I'm very nervous but also very excited. I had a 2 day transfer and about 2 days after transfer I got a mild case of OHSS :( which got really bad at about 4 days past transfer but then it cleared up! I felt quite good for a while after that but the last couple of days I have had hot flushes, dizziness, headaches and have felt 'off' like I'm getting sick or something. Hopefully it's a good sign.
PS Does anyone know if you still get your period on crinone? I guess my period should be due tomorrow as I will be 14 days past egg pick up. No sign of it yet. Sorry if TMI but last Weds (7 days past egg pick up) I noticed a bit of brown discolouration when I wiped (sort of turned the crinone a funny colour). Could this have been implantation?
Anyway I'll keep you all posted on any news...glad to be back in here and glad you r all well.

Danni sounds pretty promising for you the brownish colour good have been implatation I've read that here before. As for the hot flushes etc cronine can do that to your body too

Loops have fun at the show took my nieces last Sunday had a great day although it was quite expensive

Saffy fingers crossed for you too hon. It's it funny when you look back that we can just have a little moment of weakness without knowing that it will happen. Don't owrry about it its a good thing to let your feelings out.

AFM have my scan on Monday to check out how my follicle is growing so I'll have a better idea when the transfer might be

Danni-girl ~ All sounding very positive esp the brown spotting. The Crinone from memory did give me headaches but I also felt the way you are describing when I got my BFP. You would still get AF whilst on Crinone if not PG. Good luck and :crossfingers: she doesnt come for over 9 months!

Terry ~ GL on Monday hun, hope those follies are growing nicely! Yes the show is very expensive these days which is a shame. Im working there with cattle so dont have to pay obviously which is nice, although my mum had to pay a pretty big entry fee anyway LOL.

Hi ladies, hope everyones well. Im not so good :( Af showed up today right on time and 2 days before my blood test. I don't really think there is any point going but my hubby thinks i should go just in case i could still be preg. I very much doubt it...can that even happen? I will still go tho to get it out of the way and ease my mind. Should i still take my last 2 doses of crinone? Yucky! Well im feeling pretty down so im gonna go buy myself a big block of chocolate and drown my sorrows :( sorry for the negative post.

Im so sorry danni :( you can still bleed if your pg i did when i was pg but i lost it. I think its best to still have a bt to put your mind at ease and get a def answer. The first cycle is hard to deal with when its neg but it gets easier, i think i got over my miscariage (my 3rd cycle) quicker then the first failed one, i think we all just have such high expectations of it workoing first go and when it dosn't it hits hard. Chin up and keep positve the next one might be your turn xxx

Dannigirl- so sorry :hug:
You definately should have a BT, I have heard of people still getting a positive, but if the witch is in full flow I guess you know your body best :(
At least if you get a definate bfn you can go and have drink ( if you drink alcohol) without feeling guilty, get that chocolate into you asap as well! You deserve it.
I hope next time we all get a better outcome xx

DANNI_GIRL - I am so sorry hun! Sam thing happened to me in my first ICSI cycle - I couldn't bring myself to go in to 'torture' myself with a blood test - so I POAS. Take Saffy's advice - have a few glasses of nice wine - in your PJ's - and buy yourself some *expensive* chocolate... (even better if hubby buys it) xxx

AFM... picked up my green cooler bag full of meds last night - makes it feel so much more 'real' having that waiting in my fridge. Now waiting for the usually DREADED AF... waiting, waiting.

I'm still sitting around waiting to get started (in about 3 more weeks) but can't help dropping in here to feel like part of the action.

Dannigirl - that sucks - hope you're dealing ok with your awful results. It's so hard when you go through so much just to get pg and it still doesn't happen. Definitely go for your BT though!

Fatgirlslim - love the feeling that things are about to start happening. I have so many of those bloody green cooler bags now (one from each cycle) - after 4 frozen cycles, it's all I have to show. I'm sure you'll end up with a lot more than that!

Loops - have an awesome time at the show. I love how much stuff you always have going on. Wish I could keep myself that busy (might keep my mind off things)

Kass - oh no - the public cry! Hope it made you feel better at least. My GP is really down-to-earth and nice too and asks me how I'm going in a way that makes me think she does actually care.

Oneday: Thank you for your kind words...you are right..i think you kind of half expect it to work first time and it's such a long build up to it on all the meds etc so when it's negative it hits sooo hard.
AFM: I reluctantly went along to my blood test this morning so should have results after 2pm today. We all know what the results will be but at least I'll know for sure. The nurse said if it's negative I will have to wait a whole month til my next period comes before I can transfer my next embie. That month is going to feel like years!!! I'm really down about it all but I think it can only get easier. Plus my natural cycles are very irregular so nurse said if it hasn't come in 6 weeks, to call them and they will give me drugs to bring it on. I wonder if I can just go on the pill for this month so I know my period will come on time? Maybe my body needs a break from hormones though?? I'll ask the nurse when she calls.
Thanks again for everyone's support through this difficult time. It's even harder for me coz literally every single girlfriend of mine is either pregnant or has a baby..in fact my best friend just told me she is 4 weeks pregnant!!! If this cycle had have worked for me we would have been be due around the same time. It really sux :(

1st time in ages I have managed to get on here without using my mobile.

FS rang me while I was at playgroup. I asked about a 2 day transfer, he basically said that it doesnt mean I would get the best egg, but if I wanted to he would do it. But he did actually say he prefer me to wait for day 5, and start up a bit of a speach about women over 40 expect a miracle and then think that day 2 will be the answer.

So basically I am unsure what to do know, of course I need to speak to DP tonight. But I dont know. Whats peoples thoughts? All my embryos make it to day 2, so I would have spares. Just dont know to keep trying day 5 or get some spares for FET

Hey danni im sorry your feeling so down but its only natural! after my STIM/first cycle i had to have a month off as i had to see my FD again to discuss the frozen cycles and for him to sign the papers but i think it was also to have a break from the meds. I know it seems like a long time but it does go quickly and trust me it is the best thing for your emotions and physically beacuse you do end up burning out. Im now on a 4 month break before we start our next STIM and i thought i would hate the break but its been good for DH and i to just be a couple again for a while. And the topic on other ppl being pg, don't worry sweets because im right there with you and know how hard it is, just like all the other ladies on here. At work there is 3 pg girls and all the other ones have children, my sister is pg and my sister in law just had a baby, the pain is always there that i wish it was me too but you know what one day it will be us we just have to believe and keep that hope xx

Trishy- thats a tough one but if you follow your heart it will be the right decision, my clinic only use 5 day blasties and iv always thought that its a better embie at day 5 but iv heard lots of success stories about day 2 and 3 embies, goodluck and im sure it will all work out xx

Thanks Oneday, I'm just struggling with the whole thing at the moment. I only have managed to get one last time and 2 on the 1st cycle to day 5. When I start with 5 or 6.

I am just trying to process the whole thing as possible this is my 2nd last stim cycle and if I had frosties at least I could have a few goes next year. You just wonder is it because days 5s are best or is it the others dont like being in the dish and would work in me. IYKWIM

Fatgirlslim - I jusr re-read my post from last night and realised my comment about the green cooler bags could be read really differently to how I intended it (I was very tired). When I said 'I'm sure you'll end up with a lot more than that' i didn't mean more bags I meant that you'll end up with a baby. Phew, sorry!

Trishy - what a tough one. I'm sure everyone will have their own ideas about what's best. I can see what you mean - you would have more to 'play' with if you did a 2 or 3 day transfer, but then on the other hand if you transfer one of the ones that wasn't going to work anyway.... it might be better to sort them out in a dish over a couple of days rather than one each month in your belly. Ahhh, what a horrible decision. Good luck!

Loops: Yes we think if anything the herbs wewre what boosted dh's count so I'd get dh to keep going.
Danni: So sorry chick huge hugs. OUr new FS told us that an emby/blastie has a better chanace and higher success rate if the body is allowed to do it's natural thing.

Saffy: I'm with you I stopped the meds at the same time as you..and still no AF..my body normally runs like clock work and it it doing my head in to :wall:


Quick question though...why do we have to wait for AF after failed cycle if they plan to shut our systems down anyway????????..hope someone can answer this question

Springlola- I'm doing an antagonist cycle next time (you don't get your system shut down I think) but also have to have a month break ( after this af arrives,) so I guess they try and get you back to normal? Not sure really.
Its frustrating.
I just got a verrrry faint second line on a HPT but don't feel UTD at all so I m going to get a BT from the clinic hopefully, maybe I have a chemical pregnancy??, I wish my body would just do something right for once, grrrrrr.
I hope your AF comes soon, and your next cycle comes quickly xx

SpringLola - I think it has something to do with your hormones flatlining or something obsurd like that... I remember hearing someone else talk about it before. Hope that helps? Apparently if AF is late or hasn't arrived, you can still go in for a BT and if your e (?!) levels are low enough - you can start anyway... don't quote me on that.

Saffy - faint line!?! oohhwwweee. Good luck with your BT! Maybe your body IS doing something right?! Great self-control re the wine - I downed half a bottle yesterday arvo with my hubby.

I was sooooo clooose to POAS this morning - I had it out, unwrapped and everything. But then I stopped myself - because I didn't wanna go to work super-depressed... because it's sooooo unlikely, and regardless of how I KNOW the result... seeing that lonely one line really gets to me...

So, still waiting... going insane slowly...

Springlola - I think my fs has said that it's to allow the lining to build up properly - the first month after transfer it can be a bit thin? I could be wrong - I'm not sure that I'm remembering correctly. It's frustrating whatever the reason!

Saffy - good luck with the bt!

fatgirlslim - hope you're not still waiting - how annoying!

Trishy - that's a hard decision. Will you be putting back one or two? 5 days are meant to be stronger than two but if you were having more than one transferred at a time then maybe this would compensate?

I've been reading lots of stuff about diet lately and was wondering if anyone knew anything about soy having a negative effect on sperm?

Sorry Kass havent heard about the soy having an affect on sperm. My 1st cycle we put 2 day 5s back. I think i will wait to day 5 again and if needed do a 2 day transfer in Dec. just have to find out what docts are around that month. We are happy to put 2 back, but would probable freak out if we have twins.

Trishy - We were also thinking about putting 2 embies back this time around as we had NONE make it to freeze last cycle... But like you, I am wary of the whole possibility of twins - and the complications that can come along with multiple pg's.

Kass - I remember reading somewhere recently about soy and it's effects on sperm... but unless you were vegetarian and had a mainly soy-based diet, I didn't think it was an issue? Would be interesting to look a little further into it.

I am STILL waiting... it's most odd - it MUST be a psychological thing. Normally when I get AF, it comes and I get bad cramping for a day or 2 - but this time, I have no AF, but about 3-4 days of cramping, especially at night. Confused. I get ANGRY everytime I wake up and it's not happening - when normally, it's COMPLETELY vice versa.. lol...

Struggling to keep my mind off it... have to keep myself busy. Hubby organised a massage for me tonight - so that should be niccce. Probably because he's looking forward to getting the 'psycho wife' out of the house for an hour or so.

Hi girls- BFN for me, sorry in the delay for reporting in, but have been at work til 11pm last night and today. I'm actually not even that disappointed as I knew I have no symptoms and now I know I just have to wait for AF then can start the pill for my next cycle. SO....hurry up AF!

thanks for the thoughts on soy, from what I've read it can increase oestrogen levels (which probably isn't good for guys!). We don't eat a huge amount of it but DH can't do dairy so he gets through 2 or 3 litres of soy milk a week. It's probably not even close to the amount that could affect things, but we're thinking of doing a diet overhaul anyway for a few months - can't hurt right?

Kass: I know my mum takes these tablets which allow her to eat dairy.
Saffy+FGSlim: Hugs girls bugger bugger bum I came on today thinking I'd see a bfp from one of you. hope af hurry's up so you can get into next round
AFM: just still in libo af is due next friday and am hoping she's late by a day IF she has to come as I have booked dh and I in for a woodlands retreat for our 2 yr wedding anniversary. Just been plodding along enjoying life and not thinking about stuff atm. dh is still hoping for a miracle and af doesn't show at all I love how optimistic he is keeps me sane lol
