Just wanted to let you know I had my first Orgalutran this morning - someone on here (can't remember who now!!!) had me worried as they said it was a large needle. Well I hardly felt it, it was easy as - I have to say I feel the puregon needle more so to anybody having the orgalutran for the first time don't stress!
-
Howdy...
Saffy - 3 embies? Phwoar... that, I don't think I could risk... jeepers! I guess they calculate the odds with age / prev cycles etc. Brilliant about your $$... exciting times for you. Fx this is the ONE!
Loops - good to hear you and your hubby are in a better frame of mind xx
Nicoleh - I feel the exact same way you do - feel like juggling everything and nothing is ever going to be *perfect* - just have to bite the bullet and DO IT. It was me that was whining about the Orgalutran needle... I just look at it and freak myself out - studying the size of the needle :) Good to hear your experience wasn't too bad. I start on my Orgalutran tonight.
Hi Kaybee - good to hear your feeling better :)
AFM... nothing new to report... scan and BT first thing tomorrow morning. Fx for some good, good news.

Thanks ladies
Hi Ladies
Wishing all of us with scans tomorrow all the very best. :crossfingers: for lots of big follies growing!! Good luck
All the best to everyone else as well - hope everyone is happy and doing well :)
nicoleh ~ Hoping this antagonist cycle works for you too sweetie, good luck. I found the 1st antagonist needle easy but the one I did this morning hurt. I think I just got a bad spot this morning.
Hugs all

:goodluck::goodluck: GOOD LUCK :goodluck::goodluck:
wishing all the scanners lots of yummy, juicy, follies growing for tomorrow

Saffy yay for us cycling together, sunshine was good while it lasted..today is really average. I have my appointment at the acupunturist today, looking forward to it. I have to call into FS today and clarify some things with them. I must ring accounts too because we didnt use any of ours either.
Terry good luck for your scan today..the FS admin called me and asked if DH would be having Local or General..I told her about our special day and said I think he'd like none, LOL, she burst out laughing, she's never had anyone ask for that before ...I have a very worped sense of humor.:D
Loops hope you and DH can find a happy place, I never imagined that this IVF would be sooo emotionally hard ..DH and myself have had more tiff's in the last few months than we have had our whole relationship. But I think it can only make us stronger...You have Dairy cattle right? We are actually having a sea change (or inland change) and selling up our beef property and going a bit North into Dairy. Its very daunting but exciting too.
Kaybee so glad to hear that the cramps are gone. hope the BT give you all the answers you need.
AFM Enjoyed the sunshine yesterday at Elmore Field day..DH and DS dragged me around tractor shopping.my legs are killing me, I so need to get fit...
Off to have some acupunture today.I want to cover all bases before this cycle.
I should really get my wisdom teeth out before then aswell.I'm such a sook about dentist and having teeth pulled..I'll just live with the denile of their exhisitance and hope the pain goes away
Good Luck to everybody having their scans today..LOL ..to Saffy Juicy follies LOL.

Hi everyone. I thought I would introduce myself. I must admit I have been stalking for a while and thought it is about time I join in. I am just about to start my 1st IVF/ICSI cycle. Waiting for AF to arrive, so that I can get started. I will be doing an Antagonist cycle. We are doing IVF/ICSI because of MIF, but recently I have also been diagnosed with a very low AMH. My biggest worry is that my ovaries won't react to the meds. I am glad we finally can get started. I am excited, but also very nervous about it all.
Good luck to everyone!
-
hi Kristine-welcome!!
Glad you have joined us, we will be doing our antagonist cycle at a similar time, I am currently on the pill and start my jabs on the 22nd. Hope your AF comes soon.
What does MIF and AHM stand for ( how embarrassment, I am a nurse, should I know this??!)
Saffy xx
-
Hi Saffy, thanks for the welcome. :-)
I meant MFI = male fertility issues. Got the letters mixed up :-)
AMH stands for Anti-Mullerian hormone, which is a relatively new test where they measure your egg reserve. Mine was in the low area, which means that I have low egg reserve. This means I have to be on a much higher dose of medication to stimulate my ovaries and most likely I won't get many eggs. That's why I am so nervous. It was a big shock as I am only 29 years and I though I have heaps of time. As it turned out I don't and I have been told to start IVF asap. My FS is great and very positive, but it is such a huge shock.
xx
-
Hi everyone - just wanted to say good luck to all the scanners today!
-
Hi Ladies
Sacn went really well today - the sonographer was very encouraging, said there were about 6 good sized follies on each side. So hopefully those develop a bit more or even maybe more catch up. I would like as many eggs collected as possible so that we may get some to freeze this time. Would be over the moon if we get some to freeze as we've never had any before and always a good back up.
Saffy ~ thanks hun for the best wishes.
SpringLola ~ thanks chicky, it's very draining isnt it - we werent too bad to begin with after the 1st go for example but after a few attempts its getting harder and harder. Yeh we used to share farm on a dairy but it was too much as Ive always had my own job as well and so we gave up the share farming and bought a house in town. DH is still dairy farming though - just for someone on a wage but he is over it now too as he's been dairy farming since he was 15. Good luck with it hun, hope you enjoy it more than I did LOL.
LOL about Elmore too - there is only so much tractor browsing you can take isnt there. GL with the accupuncture, I find it very helpful and relaxing.
Kristine ~ Hi and :welcome:
GL with your cycle. We are doing our 1st antagonist cycle this time too - to try and get more and better quality embryos. Hope it works for you 1st go! I knew what you meant by MIF well I thought you were saying Male Infertility Factor LOL, either way works. But I wasnt sure what AMH was. Ive heard about the test though, I would be interested in getting it done myself.
Hi everyone else and hope you are all well xo
-
Hi all
Welcome to Kristine - hope it goes well for you!
Loops12 - glad your scan went well
At my scan I have 5 follies on one side and 4 on the other, FS is happy so far with the way I am responding to the meds. I personally will not feel relaxed until i wake up from EPU and they tell me the number(hopefully not 21 or 23 like the last 2 goes). scan no 2 on Mon.
-
RAAAGGHHH... Sorry, this post is all about me...
I had my scan this morning - and seems like we have a repeat of round one. Not responding all that well to 200iu Puregon - I have 2 follies that are measuring 11 & 12mm - but all of the others are waaaay behind.
I just had a phonecall from my FS saying to up my Puregon dose to 300iu. Next scan on Monday.
I'll come back later after I have finished having my meltdown.
L x
-
fatslimgirl - hang in there!!! upping the dose may do the trick. I had that problem on my first cycle, first scan - they upped the gonal f and I ended up with 21 eggs. good luck for Mondays scan!!
-
Fatgirlslim ~ As what nicoleh said, hang in there! Im on 300iu so yes I think you should be too. I reckon that will help. Good luck on Monday - I hope the others catch up hun - hugs
Nicoleh ~ Thanks and good luck to you for Monday as well. I dont tend to have a second scan - I think I will be straight into the EPU on Monday or Tuesday, Im still waiting to hear from the nurse this arvo. That was a great result for you - im glad it wont be as painful and stressful this time for you.
Ladies ~ and :crossfingers: tight for us all xo
-
Hi ladies i hope all went well with your scans! Fatgirlslim try not to be too hard on your self things can still pick up from here, goodluck xx
Welcome Kristine :) I am too just about to start our 2nd ICSI cycle, AF is due on the 18th Oct! But i think im doing another long down reg cycle so i will be a week or so behind you. Have you started synarel spray/lucrin injections yet? Or completely starting this AF?
AFM-I go to meet DR Tong who consults at westmead fertility clinic tomorrow to make our decision about swapping clinics :( If they can fit me in this AF looks like thats what will be happening due to financial reasons. I got mine and DH's blood results today but the nurse just gave me a copy of them to take to westmead she didn't tell me if they were ok???? I had a look over them and it shows the ranges they should be in and if im right they were all fine!!! :leap: Now just for the results of my DH's DNA frag test!
-
Sorry Ive been missing, my mum took sick nearly two weeks ago. I had a great deal of trouble getting her into hospital because she didnt want to go. Then it took all day to get an ambulance when I went and just took charge.
To top it all off I did get the cold and my daughter is sick too.
I had my scan today, I have 13 follies. I have to have my blood test tomorrow and then epu is Wed with a 2 day transfer on Friday. My FS came around as he said I have responded better to the meds. I was happy to go with a 5 day, but I think it must be a case it now suits him to do a 2 day.
-
Hi everyone, I'm new to this thread! :)
I'm all nervous and excited, this is my first IVF cycle. I went to the nurse today and got my bags of needles and instructions and now I'm just waiting for AF to arrive. She's due any day now.. although I didn't temp this cycle, so I don't know for sure.
I'm glad to hear the injections don't hurt, but the thought of them do (for now, until I actually do it I suppose!).. My nurse appointment went great. She was so lovely and seemed like she had everything under control - and hopefully will continue to! I'm SO excited that we're actually doing this. I'm just thinking little steps at this stage.. so the next step is starting injections on day 2, calling the nurse on day 1, and going through this process. The hard thing will be the travel, since we live 3 hours away. After all that, it's a HUGE crossing of fingers for DH's biopsy and if they find sperm, I'll be thrilled to bits. I guess it's better to concentrate on that, rather than worrying about eggs and numbers at this stage.
So, that's where I'm up to. Hope to continue to read everyone's journey here and see what I'm in for. lol
-
Morning lovely ladies
Hi
Oneday ~ Happy for you about your results , goodluck with the swapping of clinics and with your cycle hun, :crossfingers: for you.
Trishy ~ hope your mum and daughter are ok! 13 thats great - good luck for Wed. We will both be in then - im having my EPU on Wed now too. Hope we both get that many collected, goodluck and FX
Frugal ~ :welcome: and wishing you all the very best. Hope it works 1st time lucky for you, good luck! 3 hours wohh I thought 1.5 to 2 hours was far enough, can I ask where you live in Vic - just out of interest. Hope AF arrives soon too so you can get started!
AFM ~ Nurse finally rang late yestie and my FS wants to wait bit longer to see if some smaller ones catch up so the EPU is now Wed. Thats ok but the painful thing is I now have to do more needles and dont have enough to get through until Mon so I now have to drive 1.5 hrs to Sale just to pick up an extra needle :wall: Still happy about my results though :)
-
Hi everyone,
I'm new too and thought i'd introduce myself aswell. I'm currently in the middle of my first ICSI cycle. I got the call from my clinic this morning that I have two day3 8 cell embys. I'm due for ET in 2 days.
I too have a lowish AMH of 11.3 and am 29. I was pretty disappointed with the number of eggs I retrieved (5, of which 2 were mature) from 13 follies (7 over 13mm on trigger day).
I did a long down reg cycle with 225 Gonal F and was wondering if I'd get a better result with an antagonist cycle? Any advice?
-
Night-walker ~ Hi and welcome. All the best with your ICSI - hope it works 1st go for you as well!! Good luck for your transfer
Ive done two down reg IVF/ICSI cycles and currently in the process of 1st antagonist cycle and from what ive been told by other people the antagonist cycles are supposed to get better quality embryos. Not neccessarily more I dont think but better quality so more lasting the distance if ya get me. So far my results have been better. Ive had only the one scan but there were more and better sized follies there than previous down reg cycles. Hope that helps.
Would be tuff to only get the two - sorry if you're down, hugs. But sometimes it just takes the one! Stay pos and :crossfingers: for you.
-
Hi everyone
Loops - sounds like you've got some good ones growing! Bit of a pain having to do the drive though!
Nicoleh and Trishy - yours sounds good too :)
fatgirlslim - how frustrating! hope things are looking better Monday - I've got fx for you!
Oneday - yay for your results!
Frugal, Kristine and night walker - good luck!!
AFM - AF has arrived so I'll be transferring in a couple of weeks. I keep hoping that AF just isn't going to show and then when it happens I still feel hugely disappointed - silly right? Oh well - at least things are happening again
-
Welcome Frugal and night walker! and goodluck with your cycles. And good luck ladies for your transfers in the next few coming days.
Dh and i went down to sydney and signed papers to swap to westmead although we wont know for sure if we will be untill the 18th oct (first day of cycle) when i ring the nurse to get started to see if they can fit us in  DR Tong said they may not be able to fit us in till next yr :( if this is the case i think i will stay with my clinic for another cycle, i know that sounds selfish but that means it would be 5 months till i start and to me its way to long! And to top it off i needed to have another rubella shot today as it was low and i work in childcare so the DR said im at high risk with a pg, so i cant get pg for 4-6 weeks, so if i do have another STIM this cycle then we will be just on 6 weeks at transfer so im safe! I have a question, with my clinic i was put to sleep for my egg collection but i was told today by DR Tong that at westmead they only sedate their patients, so i will be awake :o but he said i prob wont remember anything, it freaks me out though to be awake and not be able to move! Has anyone had this???
P.s. Our blood results were all clear, DR Tong checked over them, yay. Poor DH had his ball felt by the DR to today lol..
-
Welcome Kristine Frugal & Nightwalker
Looops We firgure if we don't like Dairy farming we can sell the cows and DH goes back to plumbing, there is heaps of work in the irrgation area. Sounds like a good number of eggs, patience is not one of my strongest points..it will all be worth it in the end :p
Fatgirlslim Sending some positive vibes for you chicken...I hate the melt downs, but keep telling yourself you deserve this, Tomorrow is a new day..and there is still hope
Kass Not silly at all..our poor bodies what we put them through, we want our AF, we dont want it...its the nature of the beast..but all for good reason.
Nicoleh & Trishy They sound like good healthy numbers...:crossfingers: for both of you
Oneday Its a hard decision but totally understand the time factor..take some time to sit in peace and quiet and think about whats best for you and DH..hopefully the answers will come...and not selfish at all  I think I would prefer to be in twilight rather than knocked out, but I don't do so well after a general.
AFM Had my Acupunture on Friday..loved it. got home had a snooze on the couch for 2 1/2 hours then sound asleep again at 11pm..I never sleep like that, I do all my next day palnning in bed, sleeping has never been my friend..so love it
Got my Royal Jelly..**** ...they told me it wasn't very nice ...but sorry TMI but it tastes like melted ear wax, mixed with cough mixture..trying to work out how I can get it down without tasting it, DH was laughing at me walking around the kitchen with my tounge stuck out trying to find something to take the taste away..
Well start sniffing tomorrow..so here we go again..
Enjoy the rest of your weekend ladies and as Saffy would say..look after those juicey follies :p
-
Thanks everyone for the welcome!
SpringLola: I also take RoyalJelly. It does have a rather strange taste. I just pinch my nose when I take it, so I don't have to taste it. I have some juice after. Good luck with the sniffing. I also do accupuncture and I love it.
Oneday: Glad to hear your bloodtests are all fine and good luck with your next cycle and the new clinic, if you choose to go there. I am doing an antagonist cycle. My AF should be here tomorrow, so almost time to start the injections.
Nightwalker: Best of luck with your ET. Your AMH is not that bad. It's very close to normal. I have a very low AMH (3.7) and therefore I am on an antagonist cycle with a very high dose of Puregon. I have been told that the antagonist cycle is better for people with low AMH, as it does not suppress your ovaries before stimulation. In saying that though your AMH is not that bad and I know about a lot of people who had success with a down reg cycle and much lower AMH. I guess its worth discussing with your FS next time. But fx that you don't need to as you will be pregnant this time around.
Frugal: I am so excited to see you on this thread and that we will be starting around the same time! Are you also on an antagonist cycle? When do you start with injections? Good luck with it all. Have my fingers crossed for your DHs biopsy.
Loops, Thrishy & Nicoleh: Good luck with EPU!
Fatgirlslim: I hope the small ones will catch up very quickly. I hope the increase of the dose did the trick!
Kass: Sorry AF arrived. It would have been a nice surprise. I know what you mean. I find myself still hoping it would stay away, even though there is no chance that we get pregnant naturally, as my DH has a blockage and there is definitely no sperm coming through LOL
AFM - I am excited and nervous. AF should arrive tomorrow or maybe Tuesday and then I will start my injections. My SIL told me yesterday that she is pregnant with #3. I was completly blindsided, as only 2 weeks ago she was telling me that they were done with babies and BIL was booked in for a vasectomy. Of course I am happy for them, but I guess it was a bit of a shock and I am a bit disappointed about the way she told me. They know what we are going through in the moment. I did get upset, but not upset about her being pregnant, but it just was again a big reminder that we have such a hard journey in front of us. And there were other people around, so I couldn't leave. I know it sounds stupid, but I just don't want to deal with it in the moment and I wish she wouldn't have told me just yet. I know there are a few of you with pregnant SIL and sisters. How do you deal with it?
-
 Kristine, it is very hard! My SIL had her 3rd in may and my sister is due in december! I found out the day before my birthday that i had lost my baby and then on my family birthday gathering i had to fight back so many tears that wanted to burst out as i watched everyone looking at my sisters ultrasound pictures, it was the hardest thing i had to face only days after i lost mine. But strangly i have now found a way to be happy for them and put my feelings aside, i organised my sisters baby shower and it didnt worry me at all. I will admit i do somedays wonder why cant it be me too but i know oneday it will be me. There's no way to deal with it best just deal with it the best you can, if you need to walk away and have a cry do it, every family member or friend that told me they were pg in the past yr i have always put on a brave face but when i go home i always break down, i just feel like everyone is getting their happiness and DH and i are still here waiting! I always find a way to move on from it though and you will too just allow your self to grieve xxxx
Im off tomorrow morning for Fiji so i wont be able to chat for a week :( i will miss BB lol. Seeya ladies xx
-
frugal welcome to the thread an all the best with your cycle. I hope it works 1st time for you.
Loops will be thinking about you on Wed. Do you know if you are am or pm epu, I dont know until they workout the lists.
Nightwalker all the best for your transfer tomorrow and welcome. Sending you heaps of sticky baby dust. Your numbers are like mine. I have done both types of cycles and I actually got 2 embies from down reg and only one from anta. Possible duw to my age more than anything else. Everyone response differently, as we all have our own reasons as to why we have issues. Speak to your FS about improving egg quality. Maybe try and naturopath or accupunture.
Kass I dont think it is silly, we pin so much hope that AF wont come and we get our big fat possitve. But at the same time if it isnt the month we want to get things moving.
oneday I get put to sleep so cant help with your q. Hopefully someone can put your mind at easy. Are you happy with the new FS?
springlola I love my accupunture too, it gives me time to chill whilst there and I also sleep well after it.
kristine all the mums at my mums group have all had their 2nd kids or are pregnant. Babies have been popping out through my whole jorney. If it is obvious I am upset I am honest and explain its about my feelings not about them as I am happy and excited for them. Mostof the time I come on here and spill how I feel, rather than talk to them about it. Goodluck with your cycle.
ATM My mum is still in hospital, daughter is still sick and I have the sniffles. Had my blood test yesterday and everything is going to plan for EPU on wednesday.
-
Hi Ladies. Hope you are all well. Its been a few months since I last checked in, but I am back on the IVF rollercoaster. Trying a different protocol this time - antagonist, so two injections a night. And the FS has upped the Puregon to 450iu! Was a bit nervous about this, but seems to be going well so far. Anyway, I think my EPU will be on Friday, which also happens to be my birthday. I am hoping that is a good sign!
-
Ehm goodluck for your epu. There will be a few of us in the 2ww together.
-
Hi All
Good luck to the newbies Kristine, Frugal & Nightwalker
Fatslimgirl - How are you going?
Loops & Trishy - good luck with your epu on Wed,, hope all goes well for you both
oneday - I have been knocked out both times for EPU, never had a choice to do it any other way and I am happy to do it that way!
springlola - the royal jelly does not sound too good, I have not tried it yet
Hope everyone else is travelling along well
AFM - saw FS for second scan this morning, eggs are not big enough so she is upping the dose of puregon to 300. I have another scan Wed & all being well EPU Friday. Grow eggs grow!! Would hate have the cycle cancelled & I am trying not to stress about it!
-
Heya!
I am trying to get my head around what everyone has said - I am sorry if I am a little muddled up!
Loops & Trishy - FX for some good healthy egglettes for your EPU on Weds xx
Springlola - I take my Royal Jelly in a capsule form - I dont know how much better/worse it is - but there is NO taste :) = happy me.
EHM - hope that the change in Protocol does the trick for you. best of luck for your EPU on Friday. Mine's looking like it will be Friday too!
I don't know how you amazing ladies deal with SIL's and Sisters being pg. I would literally lose the plot! I am already stressing about how I am going to deal with Christmas this year... fx this cycle is the one for me!!!
AFM - I had a BT & scan this morning - I was told that I currently have 8 follies to be "excited" about - and another 8 littlies that may just be big enough for an end-of-week EPU. Waiting on a callback from my FS to find out whether EPU is on Friday or not - I have accidentally missed 2 calls from them already today = FRUSTRATING!!!!!!
Hi to Saffy, Nicoleh, Oneday... and all the other people I know I've missed ;)
L x
-
hi everyone, wow there is a lot of us around at the moment, need to keep up!
Fatgirlslim-wow thats a lot of follies, very exciting- hope they ring back again soon! xx
NicoleH- sending out growing vibes for your follicles- what dose did you start on? My last cycle I started on 225 puregon but even never upped the dose so it got cancelled, I hope 300 doesteh trick for you FX
Trishy- hope you are still on track for EPU wednesday, even though everyone is sick around you, you poor thing xx
ehm- hi, I am antagonist cycle too this time, I am going from 225 last cycle to 375 this cycle, i will be interested to see how you go with the high dose. Thats exciting to have an EPU on your birthday- good sign I reckon!
oneday- hope you are having fun in fiji
Kristine- any Af yet? Sorry you had to deal with your SIL's announcement out of hte blue, that must have been hard. I don't have that issue thank god but wouldn't cope well if I did, so no advice sorry x
Springlola- glad you like acupuncture, i went to school with Kerry, she was a year below me. I don't mind the fresh royal jelly, I don't like it but it doesn't make me gag either. When i first started taking it, it used to make my mouth a bit numb which was a worry but i don't get that now. How is the sniffing going? I didn't have any side effects from it but it tastes gross.
Kass- sorry about AF arriving, a least there is something ot look forward to in a few weeks x
Loops-exciting about wednesday, only a few more days of jabs, good luck xx
And last but not least- welcome to the new girls-Frugal and nightwalker-
Frugal-goodluck for everything, it is no where near as bad doing the injections etc, as I thought it would be!
Nightwalker-did you have your ET today? Hope it went well if you did! I am doing antagonist this cycle but haven't really started properly yet so can't tell if it is going ot be any better.
AFM- one more week of the pill, which is giving me spotting and headaches, so will be glad ot get rid of it, start jabbing next friday
-
Hi everyone, geez it is hard to keep up in here at the moment! Thanks for the lovely wishes for Wed!
Fatgirlslim ~ 8 is great! Good rhyme LOL. I hope the others catch up hun, Fx'd!!
Nicoleh ~ FX the 300iu does the trick hun, im sure it will. Grow eggies grow!!
Trishy ~ Thanks hun, mine is at 10.30am at Sale and yours?? Will be thinking of you - all the best! xo
ehm ~ hi, I am doing antagonist cycle as well this time- Im on 300iu. Hoping you get a wonderful b'day present - lots of great eggs. Happy Birthday just in case I miss it.
Oneday ~ I too am hoping you are having fun in fiji
Kristine ~ Sorry about your SIL's announcement - that would be rough. Ive got a sister PG at the moment and as much as I love her and am excited to have my 2nd niece or nephew on the way I just dont see her that much on purpose - although it doesnt worry me that much but sometimes if im having a bad day it does. I find Belly Belly the best way to cope though, because others know how you feel. Hugs
Springlola ~ You're lucky your DH has plumbing to fall back on, my DH wants to give up dairy farming but he doesnt really have any other training, apart from driving big equipment and a HR truck licence. I dont know how you ladies can take the liquid Royal Jelly, I had it in little vials that you had to suck it out of and I gagged - just couldnt do it and ended up giving my whole lot away. I couldnt even stand the smell - makes me cringe just thinking about it LOL. I took it in tablet form for a while and that was heaps better. GL with the sniffing chicky!
Kass ~ sorry about AF arriving, a least there is something to look forward to in a few weeks, hope it comes quick, GL!
Saffy ~ Not long now, good luck with the jabbing!!
True ~ hi hun and hope you are well - no doubt just super busy with calves etc xo
Sorry If ive missed anyone.
AFM ~ Got my last Antagonist needle this morn. Mum came with me for the drive and we made a bit of a day of it and did some shopping etc - so was good in the end. Do my trigger injection tonight and its all systems go for Wed morning - YAY. Will see a lot of you in TWW, GL and will be thinking of you all xo
-
Spoke with the clinic - apparently I should be right to go for a Friday ER/EPU - exciting. However, I do have to go for one last BT on Wednesday - I am guessing to ceck my E levels? Not sure... but should be smooth sailing FX!!
Saffy - isn't it messed up, the things we look forward to when we're IVF-ing? AF, jabs, sore BBs, cramping! ha!

Hi everyone and thanks for the warm welcome and advice. Its so lovely to feel supported and hear from people who are going through the same experience.
I had my ET today, one good blasty on board and one in the freezer... I'm stoked they both pulled through. Thanks for all the well wishes and crossed fingers! Ready for the next hurdle....
Oneday - I was sedated for my EC and had no dramas. I was still coherent and aware, just didn't feel anything. The canula was the worst part.. but i hate needles. My recovery was fine and i was out to lunch a few hours later.
Frugal - I tolerated the injections and they definitely weren't that bad. My DH did all of mine except my first luteal pregnal shot which I had to do (I'm needlephobic). In my nervousness.. I ended up shattering the glass ample lid and had remove all the shards of glass from my thumb. The good news was the needle didn't hurt and I even did my injection today. Hope your having fun in the sun!
Fatgirlslim - Congrats on your follies!
Loops - I appreciate you sharing your experience. My embryologist(who is a close friend) told me she was relieved that i could produce good quality blastocysts despite my low egg haul. So I'll have to talk to FS to see what she thinks. I know every cycle you have can be completely different to they might keep me on the same protocol for next time...hopefully it's only the FET. Good luck for your EPU...fx
Trishy - Thanks for the advice, I will talk to my FS again and see want she thinks. I was keen on trying acupuncture.. I will now that I'm more comfortable with needles. Good luck for your EPU!
Kristine - I know my AMH isn't too bad, i suppose that's why I expected a couple more eggs... but quality over quantity and it only takes one...as my FS and nurses say. Its hard when you have to deal with the pregnancies of others. While excited for them it reminds you of your own struggle. I have babies coming out the wazoo (just not mine..:D)..All of my friends bar a few are either pregnant or trying for their second (with ease). My SIL has four young kids, fell pregnant again and got rid of it. Made my blood boil.
Saffy - you'll have to keep me posted on your antag cycle

Trishy and loops - hope your pickups go well on Wed, Trishy - hope your mum is feeling better soon
Night walker - fx for a sticky one! I'm surprised your SIL would share that with you - how insensitive
Fatgirlslim - glad your numbers are up - it's sounding good
Nicoleh - hope the increased dose does the trick fx
ehm - wow that's a lot - hope you're not getting too swollen! Hope you gets lots of nice ones for your bday!
Thanks Saffy - glad you're onto the jabs soon!
Kristine - glad I'm not the only one - there's next to no chance for me either, but I'm always hoping :) Good luck with your injections - the first one's the hardest but they're not that bad - I actually prefer them to the synarel. Sorry about your SIL - it's really hard when it seems everyone but you is pregnant. I was at a bbq on the weekend with some friends I hadn't seen for a while - 4 of the 6 girls were pg - I only knew about one beforehand - they all sat there complaining about it! Not fun - I got through the afternoon and cried on the way home

I've reacted badly to my trigger, it didnt happen last time I have a rash and nausea. Plus because it was warm last night I was hot which made me itch more.

Hi ladies
Haven't been in here for a while so will need to catch up on all the post but hope that everyone is travelling well with their cycles.
AFM my last FET got cancelled on Sunday which left me devasted. I saw my FS yesterday so I have my new plan for my next stim cycle which will happen in November sometime. Because I was getting ready for transfer I'm on tabletes for the next 10 days and after that AF should arrive as normal. The FS also did a biopsy of my lining to make sure i don't have any infections. If that comes back normal then I'll be on a high dose of puregon plus another injection a few days before collection to help with egg quality. This cycle I'll also be doing heprin injections as the asprin hasn't seemed to have helped the embryos stick. So guess I'm back here waiting and cycling just like everyone else.

Its a busy thread ATM...
There is so much going on here, here I am just sniffing away LOL
Kristine I'm getting better at the whole Royal Jelly thing, I have lnog nose plyers and take the lid right off, put it into a shot glass and throw it back (all that training came in handy :p) trying so hard not to taste it...
I felt exactly the same with my SIL, she rang a couple of times and I didnt take her call, then last week she MC twins and I feel really guilty. Its a horrible feeling, glad their happy but wish that we were...
Saffy I can't believe that the Royal Jelly doesnt bother you, I'm sniffing away. Rang accounts only have to pay $190 this month which is great, hopefully I get to use the money this month, dont know how I'd cope if I was cancelled again this month..NO SNIFFING !!! Lucky you:lol:
Loops I think that was the problem I used the straw, I could taste it until I ent to bed that night. We are a bit lucky in regards to DH'd trade, but still a bit dunted by the whole move thing....
Retail therapy YAY!!! love it..Not long now
Oneday I've prob missed you..but enjoy Fiji
Trishy I hope your Mum's getting better, sounds like a long haul for you and your family.. Someone else on here had a reaction to the trigger, but EPU went without a hitch..wish I could remember who :crossfingers: let us know how you go
Ehm I will be on the same amount of Puregon this month, I'm nervous that I'm going to go the other way and over stimulate, glad its going well for you
Nicoleh :crossfingers: Try not to stress, that a nice number of follies..
Fatgirlslim They tell me fresh is best, the capsules are dead jelly..the ear wax/ cough medicine is the best stuff....oh ofcourse it is because it couldnt taste like honey and be good for you could it
Good numbers of follies...:crossfingers:
AFM just quietly sniffing away, have lots of distractions atm with mares foaling.
GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY WITH EPU AND TRANSFERS THIS WEEK :stickyvibesboy::stickyvibesgirl:
