Morning ladies
Emstar good luck today I truly hope that you get the final confirmation that it is in fact a BFP
m2b good luck with your pick up today hope you get some really nice eggs
Loops i  it all works for you this cycle and that its just a little hick up on the way to good news
Renee hope your levels are continuning to rise
AFM still waiting for my appoitment on the 16th but I'm ok with that had a lovely weekend with DH to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary which is today and I've finally got some signs that AF is on her way after taking a break since Christmas.
-
Marcellus ~ thank you, GL with your cycle!
Melissa ~ thank you 2 and Im sorry about your MIL, that is rough and not very considerate. Hope you're doing ok.
JBM ~ thanks hun, not long now for you, woohoo
Renee ~ FX hun, hoping its a BFP for you!!
Em-star ~ I would let you know if I knew but its not looking good at all, I can tell you that. that all is still good with your pg and you get the best confirmation news this arvo! FX xo
Miss K ~ Apparently ectopics are common with IVF, but if baffles me as to how as well. If that is it - im going to have serious questions for the FS when I see him on 25th March. How are you going?
Terry ~ all the best with your up-coming cycle, yay
AFM ~ Just rang Monash IVF, my nurse is away but spoke to replacement nurse and she is faxing a referral to my local pathology clinic so I can have emergency BT, Im pretty sure its an ectopic as all the signs are here! Then if looking like possible ectopic i guess i'll be having an ultrasound at some point :(:shakehead:
-
Emstar! We've all be waiting to hear from you. Your numbers still look so good - hoping you see a little bubby today  Really glad that your hubby will be there with you.
Loops - glad to hear you're having another bt. All the best
Happy anniversary Terry!
Hi and hugs to everyone else
-
Thanks Miss K, I'm starting to get nervous now...
Loops, I hate to say it, but I've read that ectopic pg's are more common with IVF. I don't understand why that would be, but that's what I've read. I hope you've just got a slow starter there, but sounds like a good idea to get it checked out sooner rather than later.
Emerald Star, GL today!
-
Thanks Marcellus and Juniper! Had my BT, just hope they get the results quick as Im feeling like a dogs dinner now, def think its ectopic. Ive got flu like symptoms, sore lower back, im bleeding more - nothing too abnormal but am bleeding. Yuck. I think Im going to leave work early.
GL for you Lap Marcellus.
GL everyone, I might be out for a few days getting sorted, who knows.
Thanks for all your support, help and hugs xo
-
Miss K - Congrats love!!! Shall I put you on the list ?............yes i will!
terry - good luck with your next cycle!
Marcellus - Thankyou for your positive energy!! Dh still didn't know anything until the U/S today!! :D
Loops12 - So sorry about what you are going through...i had a twin ectopic 3 years ago! So i really know how you feel. Hang in there...:comfort:
Juniper76 - Thankyou for your support too..
Renee - Any news??
Anyone else i need to update my lists with??

AFM - had my 2nd ultrasound today and we saw the SAC!!! I am actually 5 weeks and 5 days pregnant! Next monday have another U/S and we are hoping to hear a heartbeat!!
I hope ALL you ladies receive your dream soon...you are all in my thoughts!
-
I don't think you can count me in for a BFP this time. They just rang and said it is too hard to tell what my levels will do. I had the test a day earlier than usual and my Beta is only 19, which is more than my chem preg from last time, but still quite low. They are not sure if it is on the way down or will jump up quickly, but i'm not holding my breath. I'm soooo bummed:crying:
-
Loops - I am soo soo surprised with this ectopic thing... I have NEVER been warned this is common with IVF and I am amazed!! I really really hope its not an ectopic I hope that you are part of the small percentage that bleeds with preg ... HUGE
Renee - Don't give up yet!!! Those levels can shoot straight up you will be soo surprised!! It is scary and very upsetting to hear though
Juniper - I would be getting nervous now too!! When I had my lap I was scared outta my brains and when I woke up from the anaesthesia I was fine and hardly any pain!! Heat packs will be your friend after though!!
Terry - Happy Anniversary!! And good luck for the 16th!! It won't be too far away!!
Emerald Star - Thankyou! And thank goodness you seen the sac wahoooooooooooo congrats congrats
-
Thank goodness EmS! :leap:
Oh Renee - if it was early, that may explain the low level. You're still in with a fighting chance
I don't know that ectopics are commone with IVF, but there is an increased risk. Not sure why... maybe due to underlying reasons for inferility? Or maybe because embryos are put back at around the time they'd implant, so if they get 'shot' up into the wrong spot they implant there...? Anyway it sucks.
-
Thanks ladies, would not be getting through all of this without you.
Ive left work feeling really crappy, dont think I'll get my results from BT until the morning because I had to wait an hr to get my BT done, bloody country pathology.
Em Star ~ So :happyforyou: both, and so glad you were able to see that little heart beat, congratulations!!
When you had you ectopic did you know what was happening, were you bleeding alot, what sorry of pain did you have? Sorry about all the questions Im just interested to know.
Obviously you are pg now, so that makes me feel a bit better xo
Renee ~ I hope you get a pleasant surprise hun, but that it ends up better than my surprise obviously. All the best, FX
-
Way to go Emerald Star! :confetti:
Miss K, did I miss something? Are congratulations in order?
Renee, as long as it doubles quickly enough you could still be fine! Will they test again in a couple of days? I'll be  for your little emby.
Loops, I wouldn't even be at work in your situation, so I'm all for your heading home early plan.
-
Juniper ~ sorry earlier I mucked up and meant to wish you well with the Lap! It'll be over before you know it and you'll have some answers, GL!
-
thanks guys - i have another BT on Wed, trying to think positive but it's not really working.
Loops - i hope your BT results finally give you some answers, i don't know how you are still going to work knowing all this, you are braver than i am.
Em Star - :dance:that is great news, hope the scan goes well.
-
Loops12 - Just wanting to give you info about ectopics...with me, it was about 2 - 3 years ago...I was doing my usual sales trip for work to melb, adelaide, qld and Perth...all up it was a 3 week sales trip. I was getting ready to leave SYD - ADEL when that norning i noticed brown spotting..thought AF was on her way so didn't think much of it....while in Adelaide for 3 days the spotting stopped..then i was on my way from ADEL - MEL and some more spotting...again i thought AF wants to rear her ugly head, but changed her mind...came back to SYD after 3 days and no more spotting.....4 days later as i was getting ready to go to QLD, spotting started again but this time a little heavier..again i put it down to AF...came back to SYD 5 days later and spotting stopped.
At this point i had no other symptoms, no pain, no cramping, no nausea, no sore boobies..nothing. Then after 2 days back was getting ready to go to Perth, evreything still ok..as far as i was concerned...on the plane drank one of those small red wine bottles..felt great!!! Get to Perth check in to Hotel...it was evening so thought i would have a warm shower and go to bed...well...as soon as i took my bra off the pain and heaviness was excruciating...i also noticed more spotting brownish / red in color but not very heavy...thought maybe i was tooo stressed from work and all the travelling put my body out of whack and AF was just having a difficult time getting to the party...I also noticed at that time that my stomack was very swollen..but still no pain symptoms...it wasn't until i got back and a relative suggest i do a pregnancy test that i realised i was pregnant...5 days later at the U/S found it was a twin ectopic......i was devastated to say the least....hence why i am here today. I hope this helps you in some way..if you need anymore info let me know...but just like pregnancies are all different, ectopics are different with everyone too.
-
Congratulations Emstar and Miss K! Fantastic news. Wishing you both a H&H 9 months.
Renee, FX for your BT this Wednesday.
Loops, I also didn't know with IVF you could have ectopic PGs. I hope you find out what is going on and you feel better soon.
Marcellus, how is your HRT FET going? When is your transfer?
Juniper, a big hello to you and GL for your lap.
Hello again, Terry, and congrats on your first wedding anniversary. I'm not up to date with all the personals. Will you be doing a stim cycle or a FET?
AFM, I had my FET today. Two snowbubs successfully survived the thaw :) The FS was happy with the quality of the embies, so that's good. I had acupuncture pre and post transfer - a first for me - so I feel I've done all I can to give them a good start. I suppose I should jump over into the TWW thread. Hopefully I'll see some of you guys over there. I'll keep looking in here, too :)
-
Good news Brunette! Snuggle in tight little ones :goodluck:
Only day 2, so a little ways to go yet...:)
-
Hi All,
Just a quick one from me. I have been laying low in anticipation of my Laparoscopy which has been brought forward to tomorrow.
Em Star - Great news, it sounds like the pregnancy is thriving. I wish you a strong and healthy 9 months.
Juniper - thanks again for the info - will keep you posted regarding my lap eperience.
Loops - I hope you are holding up. Thinking of you and hoping that you get a positive result - there is still hope.
Renee - GL for Wednesday I hope all goes well
I'm sorry to everyone I have missed and I know that I have missed many of you - but I am still sending positive vibes to you all.
I am busy trying to get everything in order for the next few days as I know, physically I will be out of action for a bit (and I haven't even finished half my list of things to do today!)
Am feeling quite anxious about going under anaethesia and the discomfort afterwards but am feeling positive about getting some answers. (although the ovarian drilling part is freaking me out).
I hope to have a bit more time to catch up with everyone in a couple of days.
Wish me luck :crossfingers:
-
Emstar - great news. I was so suprised you had an ultrasound a week ago when there was not going to be anything visible. I hope your next scan shows you that little heartbeat!
Miss K - Hope everything continues well for you too - BIG congratulations :)
Loops - Hope the BT results give you some answers, you deserve to have some peace of mind after a very stressful couple of weeks!
Renee - I'm sorry it's not a definitive answer, I hope Weds results give you more information.
Brunette - goodluck with the embies - FX for a quick and stressfree TWW and a lovely BRP at the end!
Juniper, Marcellus, JBM and anyone else I have missed - hope you are all travelling well!
AFM - Thanks for all the lovely messages, I was a big cry baby last week, it really hit me how hard this IVF thing is. But the dinner on Saturday was actually great because I didn't think about this whole TTC all night - something to be said for appreciating what you have I guess. Started taking my Puregon three days ago, I don't really get any symptoms from the hormones until I start getting stressed about phone calls etc. I have my first ultrasound on Wednesday to see if I have any follies growing. No idea when EPU is as yet but still not really positive about this process which I guess I should be!
-
Hey girls,
Just a quick one from me today (no personals) - had the EPU today. The FS got 10 eggies, and said that DH's TESA went well too. I've slept since I got home, and still a little tired (and sore). I thought that I'd get a couple more, but at least with 10 I won't get OHSS ... I'm still going to have the protein shakes though!! DH is really supportive and trying to make sure everything is fine for me (including flowers!!), so that is great!!
So all looks well for Wednesday's ET!! Like Brunette, I'm also going to have the acupuncture before and after (if it helps, why not!!).
-
All the best for tomorrow tantee - hope it all goes smoothly
That's great about your dinner party Lairdoz. It's awesome when you can find something to take your mind off things and enjoy your 'real' life.
10 is great m2b! :leap: fingers crossed for fertilisation
-
Tantee hope everything goes well for you today
Emstar well done I'm so happy that the news was good and that next week will finally put your mind at rest I  that all continues along nicely for you
Loops I hope they hurry and give you those BT results and that you can celebrate afterwards
Lairdoz its great to hear that you enjoyed yourself and that your spirits have lifted. Remeber that we are all in this today and we all have good days and bad days but at the end of it all we have our friends on BB that inderstand what we are feeling
Brunette glad it all went well for you yesterday I'm sending you lots of :stickyvibesboy::stickyvibesgirl::pink-babydust::bluedust:
mum-2-be :goodluck::crossfingers: everything continues nicely for your Et tomorrow
Sorry to all those I've missed
AFM spent a beautiful night with DH and realised that no matter what life throws at us as long as we continue to love and be good to each our we can get through anything
-
Hey,
Just got the news that 6 have fertilised!!
I go in tomorrow at 10:00am for ET!! I'm so excited!!
Tantee - :crossfingers: everything goes well for you today!!
Renee - can't wait for the result tomorrow!! so hard!!
Brunette - That's great it all went well yesterday!!
Emstar - I'm glad you can now see everything!! I'm so happy for you!! Hopefully I'll be able to join you in the next forum soon!!
Loops - that the test results are done soon and that everything is ok
AFM - actually I spilt the beans first leaving nothing left for here!! 6 eggies - 10:00am tomorrow for ET!! Yahooooo!!
-
Lol, it's worth repeating that news m2b! All the best for tomorrow!
Aww, that's lovely Terry
-
Tantee - Good Luck!
Mum-2-Be - congrats, that's fantastic news!!
-
Em Star ~ thanks hun, good to know. Ive kind of had off and on spotting but its been fairly continuous for about 7 days - since what I thought was the start of a period and now I have bascially nothing. So perhaps it was just implantation bleed - well I hope anyway. I think I'll know the signs though now If I get severe pain, i'll get straight to hospital.
Brunette ~ thank you and all the best with your little embies on board. Hope TWW doesnt drive you crazy and FX for that BFP at the end.
Mum-2-be ~ Well done, rest up and I hope the transfer goes well.
Lairdoz ~ GL with it all, truly hope this one is the 1!
Tantee ~ all the best for the lap, will be thinking of you and you will be ok.
Terry ~ That is so sweet I think I need some of that.
AFM ~ Still more stressing ahead unfortunately. BT results showed HCG has increased from 38 on Wed to 190 yesterday (Mon) (5days) but progesterone was only at 2.6. So have to have another BT on Friday and they will just keep tracking it that way. Its too early for an ultrasound which is what I thought they'd say :wall:
So anyhow there is still hope that perhaps it implanted later than first thought. Had acupuncture today which helped me relax a bit.
-
Argh! Stress Loops  Did they have a theory as to what was happening?
Still really hoping it's good news
-
Thanks for the hugs Marcellus.
The nurse didnt say much at all, its a replacement nurse though as mine is on leave :wall:
She's pretty nice though. Just said if the pain starts getting severe go to hospital. So I suppose not much help at all.
My acupuncturist on the other hand was great and said it could be just implantation bleeding, the lil one coul have implanted up high and the blood might be old blood just still slowly coming down (as I havent had much at all last few days)
So now Im hoping it was just a later implant and that is why my readings are low. Hoping they will climb
-
Hi Loops,
I'm really sorry that regardless of the outcome, it hasn't been quick to find out what is happening, you certainly deserve that at the very least! Obviously I am hoping for you that it is a late implanter, but I will be thinking of you and hope it is resolved one way or the other quickly :) xx
-
Jeeze, Loops, I've got my FX for you, hun. Sounds like you're being put through the wringer. GL for your next BT.
Thanks for your sticky vibes wish, Terry. I loved your post about you and DH. So very true.
Well done, m2b. GL for tomorrow's ET.
GL for your first scan tomorrow, Lairdoz. I love getting scans done, because for me they're the closest thing to what it might feel like if PG one day
Tantee, hope you are recovering from your op and feeling better this evening. I think they should re-name the procedure as it sounds quite scary!
Hi to everyone else I've missed.
-
Em Star – Congrats on the BFP!!! You had me worried there for a while. I want to say that I am so so happy for you!!! It was so good to see your name in “Hall of Fame” and I am confident that all our names will appear there very soon too!! Have a healthy and happy pregnancy ahead!
Loops – I am excited for you!! All your symptoms and HCG levels sound promising!!! Try to relax and not stress too much before your next BT – easier said than done. I will be  for you.
Mum-2-be – awesome result with 6 embies!!! Good luck with the transfer tomorrow. Definitely book yourself in for acupuncture pre and post transfer. I hear that acupuncture can significantly increase your chances of achieving BFP during IVF!!!
Brunette – Rest up – hope the 2ww does not do your head in!!
Lairdoz – Glad to hear that your dinner party went well on Sat. IVF is not easy especially when friends or family are able to conceive so easily. I told my brother and sister in – law that we were having trouble conceiving and were on our second round of IVF on Sunday. I couldn’t control my tears when I was telling them. Thank goodness for BB to be able to vent our frustrations, worries and share our successess!
Miss k & Renee – A big congrats to you both!! All the best for a healthy and happy pregnancy!
Juniper – Good luck with the upcoming lap.
Terry – Happy 1st anniversary and good luck with your next cycle!
Littlegem98 – hope you are doing ok.
Marcellus – hope you are well...when is the FET planned??
JBM – hope you are travelling well in your cycle. You mentioned that you are taking naturopathic supplements. Just for everyone’s information, I found out from my FS that you must avoid Vitex and St Johns Wort which are sometimes found in herbal mixtures. These can impact your ivf cycle. My naturopath has prescribed fish oil, calcium, magnesium, zinc. If I am not sniffing or jabbing myself I am popping pills 3 times a day!!
Tantee - wishing you a speedy recovery!
Hello to anyone else I may have missed...
AFM – Had my first scan on Monday. So far we have 5 eggs. Not a huge number....I was hoping to see more. The FS said it’s still early days so we will see how we go. I have another scan on Friday. Depending on how that goes EPU may be scheduled for either Monday or Wednesday. It's really strange this cycle, sometimes I forget I am actually doing IVF. I have no symptoms apart from big fat bruises on my stomach. I guess I am not so anxious as the first cycle so I am hoping I get a better result. Visited the acupuncturist on Sat – woahee. Those little needles have a bit of kick to them especially after a twirl! Give me IVF pen injections any day I have another session booked in for Sat so hope it’s not as painful as the first session.
-
I'm baaaaack!
Hello ladies.
It’s been a little while since I was here and I see the action has only increased!
Loops, I’m thinking of and praying for you. I really hope someone can give you an absolute really soon.
Congrats to Miss Kand Emstar. I’m completely jealous (in a very good way) and wish each of you a wonder and happiness filled 9 months.
Lairdoz, good luck with the injections. I’m a day or two ahead of you.
Mum2Be, that’s a great number of embies! Good luck with your ET tomorrow.
Hello to all you other ladies keepin’ the faith! :hello:
AFM, I had quite the meltdown after my last cycle and needed to be gone for a bit. DH and I decided at the 11th hour that we would go again this month. And so here I am, back for more punishment! ;) I sure am thankful for all you beautiful women, at all your various stages, for the comfort and encouragement you all give. So here I am, jabbing away each night. My FS reckons I’ll go for harvesting next Wed or Fri. I sure do hope it’s Wed! :)
Ni-night ladies....
Moonflower
-
EMERALD - SOOO pleased that everything is looking good for you. Your levels have looked fantastic all along and can’t wait to hear about seeing that little heartbeat on Monday!!
RENEE - awwww big :comfort: hunny. I am still hoping that everything is going to be OK, stay positive
MISSK - how you doing hun? Having a stupid moment atm, how much longer before you have a scan? Exciting!!!!!
BRUNETTE - good luck for your 2ww, just curious as I haven’t gotten around to ringin my clinic yet but how soon after your stim cycle did you have to wait before your FET? I keep on thinking I should give acupuncture a go - so you just have a pre and post transfer session? Might have to look into it before my FET.
TANTEE - hoping all went well with your lap and you aren’t feeling too rough
LAIRDOZ - hope you are feeling a bit better this week, I was a huge sook last week as well. VERY embarrassingly, I had my little meltdown at work the day before my BT!! My mum had been away pretty much from the time stims started until a few days before my BT and I went to see her the day before and just lost it. Nothing like being able to have a big bawl on Mum’s shoulder!!!! I have everything crossed that you will see loads of lovely looking little follies in your scan today and that you stay nice and relaxed for at least the next week or so!!
M2B - yay for 10 eggies - awesome!!!! Rest up and FX for a great fert report, oops just kept reading - woohoo for 6 lil embies!!!! Good luck for ET today!
TERRY - I agree wholeheartedly!! Glad you had a lovely night - DH and I are the same, we are constantly reminding each other that we, as a couple, are the most important thing throughout the whole process and what is the point of going through all this if it tears us apart. SO yup, continuing to love and support is paramount
LOOPS - wow this must be absolutely doing your head in. Hopefully Friday will bring some more definitive news for you - how soon can you actually get a scan and be able to see anything?
MEL - Hoping you carry on growing some more little eggs, I’ve heard people say how relaxing AP is and how they nearly fall asleep during it!! I have wondered how relaxing getting stuck with needles can really be - no doubt will find out next cycle. So you are finding second time round not so stressful so far? This cycle, I was a bit of a shocker, I think just all the unknown got to me a bit - at least next time, will know what to expect
MOONFLOWER - welcome back and good luck for this cycle
ME - just plodding along. AF has finished so quick question - should I expect my cycle to be a bit haywire this month or should it go back to normal relatively quickly (was regular before IVF). Waiting waiting to be able to do FET. On a really exciting note, my brother and SIL have been through two absolute dismal failures of IVF cycles, dismal to the point they had given up on even trying again and my brother rang the other day to say my SIL is 13 weeks preggo naturally - miracles can happen so stay strong and believe, ladies!! Phew that was a bit of marathon post - I take my hat off to anyone who has managed to wade through it!!!!
-
Lairdoz ~ thanks so much, you are wonderful! Hope you're doing ok and excited about this try.
Brunette ~ thanks hun and all the best in TWW, hope you dont go too crazy, FX and TX
Moonflower ~ Great to see you back and all the very best for this cycle.
Melttc ~ thanks so much, unfortunately Im back to thinking its ectopic. Im just looking forward to finding out def what the go is, shouldnt be too much longer - its certainly been a long rollercaoster ride, All the best to you for this cycle, will have F and TX!
Melissa ~ thanks gorgeous. Im up to 3weeks since fertilisation took place, I think its 5weeks at the earliest but Im not too sure when that means from. I would think from when fertilisation took place. GL, hoping you can do your FET soon xo
AFM ~ Im back to thinking its ectopic. Ive had shoulder pain starting and abdominal pain and unfortunately I just have to bloody wait until my BT Fri as its too early to show up on ultrasound and just have to wait and hope nothing ruptures. Although I have stopped bleeding :wall:
On a positive note ~ someone out there is extremely generous and thoughtful and has sent us a very anonymous cheque - untraceable. If it happened to be anyone of you wonderful people on BB we thank you from the bottom of our hearts xo. Because of this we will now be able to do another cycle in the not too distant future. We are not sure if its family, friends or someone we dont know well at all - though they would have to know our address or have gone to a lot of trouble to find it.
-
Just found out, the earliest they can probably do a scan is about the 15th/16th March. Just have to wait it out until Fri for a start with BT. Nurse was very nice again but its all just still very frustrating.
-
Loops - hang in there sweet, and take care of yourself. OMG that is sooooo cool about your anonymous cheque, doesn't that just restore all your faith in people? Did you cry? I would've bawled my eyes out :p
-
Wow Loops, the ups and downs continue. How amazing that someone sent you money!
That's fantastic news for your brother and SIL Melissal! Hope you can get your own good news soon too. I think, as with all things, it just depends - some people's cycles are disrupted, others go right back to normal.
Hi Moonflower. All the best with your jabbing.
Hope you get a good bunch of eggies melttc!
Hi everyone else - hope your'e all taking care
-
Loops, that is fantastic that someone sent you a cheque.
There's beautiful caring people out there willing to help others and wanting nothing in return.
I'm in the same basket as you Melissal, I would have bawled my eyes out too.
-
Loops hang in there my thoughts are with you and I hope that its just a very late implantation
Brunette good luck with your 2WW hope this is your month. I'm a bit like you too find the first week quite easy and then slowly go insane during the second
To all the girls gabbing hope that your bodies are being kind and growing some nice little follis
Just a quick note on acupuncture I have been seeing someone since last year once a month and when I was doing cycles I would try to do one before a transfer and then after. The one thing she said to me is that it takes our bodies a while to start to respond to trying to get pregnant. So although I belive acupunture works I think that you need to be doing it for a while to prepare your body
