    Hi girls,
I'm still around, on the pill until 22nd Jan then into a stim cycle- yay!( not)....

Reading posts at the moment but not replying much, I am having time away at the beach ( between work shifts) for another week and its really nice to NOT be obsessed about ttc for once, drink what I want, eat what I want, not peeing on sticks constantly, looking at cm, forcing DH to dtd, etc!!!
Hey, maybe I won't come back.......

Good luck to everyone jabbing at the moment, hope we all get our bfps, its nice to see such a busy thread for 2012!!

Sitting in fs clinic waiting for bt so I can start jabbing tomorrow. So excited its a little silly. Last time it took 15 days to get a ripe follicle hoping it will be a bit quicker this time. Looks like I will be in good company though!

Keta - Good luck with your jabbing tomorrow. Its great to still get excited!

Miss B - Well done on your jabbing. Nothing beats the adrenalin rush of that first jab. Its the begining of hope I guess. Just wondering how you have been through IVF before but not injected yourself? And its obviously worked before so why are you changing things up this cycle? Its interesting to know everyones story and whats worked in the past.

Pholi - Thanks for your good wishes. You have been on my mind. Hope to join you soon.

N2L - I guess you must be in having your EPU today. Fingers crossed you get some great number with great quality eggies.

Hi to everyone else in here.

AFM - PUPO reporting for duty. Yesterday went well. I didn't phone ahead this time to find out if any thawed as they said they would call me. Last time I rang as soon as my plane landed, but decided not to put so much pressure on my self this time around. No call was good news, I guess. Having said that, when I got to my appoinment they said that only 1 thawed. I was pretty shocked to be honest, which is silly, having been given all the stats. My little day 3, 12 cell didn't make it. Funny, as last time my day 3, 8 cell only just made it through. It went down to 5 cells, but decided that it was still viable. Guess not, with the BFN I got last month. So my little day 3 grade 4 Morula thawed at 100%. The lab tech said it looked very good, but I have heard that Morulas are not the best for transfers and dont know how I feel about that. I had a learning specialist in with us. My normal doc did the actual procedure, but the learning doc was doing the ultrasound and couldn't find my uterus. He had to help her in the end. Just that its in the right spot. I do have another ultrasound picture and my normal doc said it was in perfect place. Guess time will tell. I feel sad for my little embryo that didn't make it, but trying to remain positive for the other embryo. We didn't DTD before or after, so I dont know if that will help or hinder the process. If I had of read earlier posts I would have jumped DH, but with meds, dont feel much in the mood these days. Thanks for you advice girls. I didn't receive that info on any sheets about DTD 3-4 days before hand. The nurse just said that they like it. We were too scared to last time, so waited till our BT. We are not going to wait this time. Guess we need to try something different.

Is it weird that I feel like this one is a DD? Lol! Last time I felt like it would have been a DS, but this time I am talking to her calling her the name we both picked if we are lucky enough to get a BFP. Its been like a crazy instinct. And I said I wasn't going to get emotionally involved this time . Its so damn hard not to once they go back in.

We now have no more in storage, and we are so hoping that we dont have to go back for another stim cycle. We will if we have to, but it would be nice to be done with IVF. Anyone, sorry for the long all about me post. Just wanted to fill you all in.

    Thanks

I have pretty good fertilization rates. It's getting them to implant that's the hard bit!! I am doing a Day3 transfer this time. I have always done Day 2. It will be interesting to see if they all keep going until then. I remember reading Day 3 is a bit of a hump to get past.

I will transfer two if I have them.

    Hi Eveyone,

Mia- Good job!!! not as bad as you'd imagined, right?

N2L- Yay, Good luck for sat xxx

    Hi everyone else.

I am AF day 1, but started Lucrin on Tues. Start Puregon on 18/1. starting to feel really good about it all, BUT at the same time trying not to get my hopes up.
Vic- am glad to hear that you are emotionally invested, surely we all have to believe the best outcome will happen. Otherwise we would all be super depressed constantly.

    Hi ladies,

n2l, wow!!!!! Fantastic fertalization rate hun Now we'll be keeping everything crossed that the embie/s stick!! Go girl!

vic, well done with your transfer! I'll be keeping everything crossed for you also. Let's hope the embie gets stuck nice and deep and latches on tight! Don't beat yourself up about not DTD, some people recommend it, others say don't do it! I did have to jab myself last time I did a stim cycle 3 years ago, but I was on the gonal f pen and it was fully loaded from memory so I just had to adjust my dosage and jab. I have no probs with needles and the IVF ones are so nice and thin. This time I'm doing the puregon pen and you have to put the pen together and I was just panicking I would stuff it up......but it was OK

myturn, not long before you start 'stabbing' yourself! lol. I use the word 'stabbing' too, it sounds so dramatic! hahahahaha. At least DF knows what it's like to have to stab yourself once and then twice daily to get those precious eggies. Men, they have it sooooooo easy!

Hi Amy, Saffy, liseyt and anyone else I might have missed!

AFM, day 3 of stabbing. Going OK so far, but I have forgotten what to expect 'side effect' wise........anything big? I had some strong pain on my left side, but it seems I get strong O pain on that side usually. I'm thinking maybe that ovary is more dominant????? I've had big ugly fibroids in the past that have caused me grief (that's how I lost Josh) but I've been having regular u/s and it all looks clear. I wonder if a sneaky one has appeared...I hope not!

Take care ladies and fingers and toes crossed for everyone!

    Hi girls,

Well I finally got 5 minutes to sit down and write some persies (and get my head around everything happening in here hahaha!)

N2L - Yay for PUPO!!!! What an awesome result from your stim! You must be so happy, ive got everything crossed for your little embies!!!!

Mia - Haha I know what you mean about feeling like a pharmacy. When DH and I went to Europe we took my 'drug box' around to my mum and dads rather than putting in storage, I went around the other day and saw it and remembered how much I was taking last time arrrgggghhhh!!!! My FS also said def dont my your Synarel in the fridge, its one of the biggest no no's

Vic - Yay your upcoming blood test! How is the TWW going for you? Fingers crossed you are finding things to keep you busy in the mean time xxx

Keta - You stay right where you are!!! We love having you in here with us! Just because its not IVF doesnt mean it isnt assisted conception and ....bloody hard!!!!

Jane - Im glad the injections arent going to bad for you! I remember the first time I gave myself a jab, I couldnt believe how easy it was!

Lisey T - Hahaha I love that you are making DH bring everything to you so you can sleep in, def something I would do!

Miss B - Hope the needles are going ok for you honey! Getting closer and closer to egg pick up, woo hoo!

My Turn - You deserve some very big 's for that mammoth post!!!! Yay for AF arriving, hahaha never did we ever think we would be saying that!!!! I know what you mean about having your US with AF, its not a nice feeling is it. I have to have an US on day 6 of my cycle so I will still probably have a little bit hanging around

Sorry if ive missed anyone but none the less!

AFM - What a horrid day at work! We had a line out the door most of the day and it was manic, but on the upside I made lots of $$$'s and I work on commission so thats always a good thing! DH flew back to work today, he was meant to go on Thursday but because of the cyclone he couldnt fly up there so he went today instead. He got up there tonight and the phone tower is down because of the cyclone and the pay phone only accepts phone cards and ......yep you guessed it, the shop has sold out of phone cards. grrrr Oh well at least he will be back in 5 nights. Nothing else exciting to report really, just wishing AF would hurry up!!!! Also I have quite a few books on IVF, not really information books but more novels on personal experiences, I am happy to lend them to anyone who would like to ready them, the only catch is I would like them back at some point as I have few friends IRL going through IVF shortly and I would like to lend them to her aswell. I have one that is about 15 short stories of personal experiences in one book, another is a IVF from a father to be's view, and another one is called waiting for Daisy.

Hope everyone is having a fab Saturday night, mine has been eating pizza, checking BB and watching National Lampoons Vacation hahahaha.

am actually a bit embarrased by the post........ who the heck is ever going to read it! I reckon if everyone just jumps to their own name as a minimum that may be the best I should expect! I really need to get more succinct in my answers!!! But thanks

ps... we had home made pizza in front of the Tv as well - great minds!

Hi ladies. I've been hanging around the sub forums a while not realising this thread was here (thanks myturn for bringing it to my attention). I hope it is OK to join in. I am doing a down-reg with extras and not sure which cd - started OCP cd5 last Sat, so am I cd10 or relative to the OCP so cd5? Total newbie here Starting synarel on the 28th with down reg scan 10th Feb ....... It is all taking soooo long!!!!

I cannot do personals cos on my phone but have read all your posts and send hugs, sticky vibes and follie-dust (does that exist as a term?)....... to you all

    Thanks for the welcome all

Myturn - multiquote worked well, glad scan good enough to jab, lucky you had massages before injections. Will look forward to your body setting a great example for mine cos it looks as if I am about three weeks behind you! CD1 after stopping OCP makes sense but that means I have to be cd-21 (minimum) and I hate that!!

MissB - good luck for tomorrow

Re Sisters: Mine is jealous of me because her partner doesn't want children and she is OK overall with that but would also be OK if he said 'How about it!'. There is always someone worse off than me and I guess I should get over myself

Meg76: sorry you have to do Clexane and steroids but hopefully it will allow you to achieve the ultimate goal

N2L: thinking of ya, hope Amy-jb's feeling is more accurate than yours

Everyone else - hope you are all hanging in there

It takes a while to get going and the wait feels like ages - but now that I'm here it will be all action stations - my advice kashby us to enjoy this time as not TTC time and value it for what it is xxx

Just wondering if anyone notices the puregon side effects straight away? I don't recall last time - but today I definitely felt pressure on my tummy shortly after the stab and am aware of the heavy feeling today. Maybe the higher dose of meds and down reg is why - but how soon have you guys noticed the side effects?
It took a week for headaches to arrive with the syneral and that was cause AF arrived I think.

Hope everyone else is plodding along nicely. We ate off to pick up DSD and out for dinner at shops - our usual Friday routine (we have her every weekend). So it should be pleasant.

xxxx I may pop back in later if nothing else is happening

Miss B - wishing you all the best for your transfer tomorrow - whilst it is a little earlier than you were expecting, I guess if it gives the embie the best chance then that is the best thing to do. Glad your Fs has been supportive with advice. IIt can be so overwhelming at times knowing what to do. Really hope it goes well and that the TTW results in a BFP.

Amy and Myturn- woo hoo jabbing time - hope it all goes well.

Hi Kashby and welcome. I did a down reg cycle too so I know what you mean about it taking so damn long. Getting closer though. Good luck with it all.

N2L and Vic - I am crossing absolutely everything I can for you both.

Hi Blossom - hope those follicles keep deeveloping. But as you say, we only need 1. Heres hoping you have that one hun.

Hi Meg - sorry to hear that - I hope that with the change of meds this next cycle that you get a sticky one. Hugs.

Everyone else - hope you are travelling well - if nothing else - thank god its the weekend - time for some r&r ladies!

AFM- Ok so i found out at the clinic today that I am CD8 today. I also had BT and US today. Endometrium lining currently 8mm. 15 follicles on right ovary. 24 follicles on right. 11 follicles were between 10 and 12mm. So am pretty happy with that. Still away to go. But given I've been on zoladex, my body is responding pretty well. Not sure what my estrogen levels were - but the nurse said they were ok. Go back for another BT and Us on Mon (23rd)
