Trubabe, I will keep praying for your mum and your family. Take care sweety. xox
thank you rob. i did a google seach of the symptoms that sent her to dr in the first place and they all came up as a rare form of cancer that starts around nipple-inflammatory breast cancer.i didnt like what i read either.given that she has the classic symptoms of this type as well and that dr thinks biopsy will confirm her suspicions its likely mum already has two forms of cancer and it can be more complicated to treat the inflammatory one.i just want results to be back so we know what we are fully dealing with
Trubabe so glad to hear from you even though its not under the best of times. I will also have you and your family in my prays tonight.
Murraycod hope everything goes well for you today sending out :stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy:
FGS hope your scan went well today and you have some healthy eggs.
OMG...!
this morning's scan... out of NO-WHERE... I have 8 or 9, ripe, juicy, fat follicles!!! :jawdrop:
The nurses and doctor were quite shocked... and I am AMAZED!!!
I am completely blown away... seriously... this was TOTALLY not expected! Last week the nurse said I'd be good to get 2 follies... but amazingly... all of these other ones have decided to grow!!!
So 2 more days of Orgalutran and Gonal-F... Sunday night at 7:30pm Trigger injection - and Tuesday 7:30am EPU...
I can't even begin to describe how THRILLED I am... honestly! I had prepared myself (as best as I possibly could) for bad, bad news... and the news could not be more AMAZING!!! :leap:
Miss K - you might just be right about the stubbourn ovaries thing!!!
MoonFlower - thanks for keeping me in your prayers... I am convinced this is nothing short of a MIRACLE!!
MurrayCod - hope your ET went great today! How are all your 'little ones' coming along?
Terry - good luck with your natural 2ww...! Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts!
Rob - yep! Ponde is so close to Cowirra! We drive past their everytime we go up :)
I am so... sooooo happy. But I am so scared to get excited because I know every step is a challenge... ****breaaaaathe****
L x:dance:
Fatgirlslim sooooooo excited for you ... I have everything crossed xox Yep everything is one step at a time for sure :)
Hi everyone......Sorry I've been MIA for a few weeks so I'm not sure what everyone is up to. But I hope that 2010 is going to be an awesome year for all of us!
I start a new full stim cycle to tomorrow. Switching to Gonal F this time as opposed to Puregon.....I'm only on 112.5IU (I was only on 100IU with Puregon) that seems to be quite low compared to everyone else? I know that Dr is worried about over stimulating as I have PCOS but last time I only got 7 eggs which isn't huge, the time before that (before I started acupuncture) I only got 2! It just seems a bit too cautious to me? Anyone had any experience with this?
Anyway.....if last time is anything to go by my EPU should be last week in Jan. I am trying to be so positive about this one!!
Hope you are all doing ok, wherever you are up to. I'll pop in again a bit more regularly now so hopefully I'll get back up to speed.
Hi Ladies!!!!
Wow!!! so much going on...skimmed through all the posts and i haven't been able to digest it all, but i want you all to hang in there just like i am.....as you all know i am on my 4th cycle..started the synarel 9 days ago..AF was due 4 days ago! whats the story? when should AF arrive?? This cycle is new to me as i have done the Antagonists and this is my first Down reg and don't know what to expect....i also know that alot of you complain about the sniffing, but for me...i love it!!! i suffer from sinus problems and this has fixed it right up..haven't felt this good in yeeeeeearrrs!!
Danyelle - i also go to st george private and live in the area...i noticed you go to Hurstville...i have Mondays and Tuesdays off work...maybe we could catch up one day if you like and discuss our IVF, if you wish to. Let me know hon. :D
Loops12, Rob, Juniper76,and anyone else i've missed Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts...
Hello ladies!
I just gotta start with you FGS - I have to buy a vowel because O my gosh!! That is the most brilliant news I'm going to hear all weekend! :happyforyou: Looks like your two possible follies have had a stern word with the rest and they've played ball. I couldn't be more excited for you right now. So, so, so happy for you. Will continue to pray for you and your harvest time. I shall now do the dance of joy :wiggle:
EmeraldStar, you made me laugh about sniffing and your sinus' improving. I guess that damn stuff has to be good for something aside from baby making, huh? ;)
Truebe, so sorry to hear about your Mum. Hope everything goes well and that you can take some time to decompress.
The lab called me this morning. Threebie (3rd embryo) didn't make it. So I'm a little :( Was really hoping it would get to blasty. I'm grateful for our twobies (2 embryos) and must now spend the next 1.5 weeks not getting too excited nor too anxious. It's a fine line we walk, is it not ladies?
Hope you all have a great weekend!
Moonflower x
Hello fellow BB ladies,
I usually post in TTCAMAL but I have a specific question I thought you might be able to help with.
I had my 3rd IUI today and my donor's (fresh sperm not frozen) pre wash count was 19 million with 95% motility then post was it was 3 million with 95% motility? I'm obviously missing something about this process because I thought it took away unwanted fluids and poor sperm, so where'd my other 16 million go? Do they just not survive the wash? I can't see that they were all poor morphology if they had 95% motility!
Please let me know if you can explain this.
Thank you.
Hi all you lovely ladies
Its been a while since I've been in here, trying to catch up on all the news. Hope you're all well and happy and had a good Christmas.
Trubabe - sorry to hear that things are getting more complicated with your mum, thinking of you and her and sending big hugs
FGS - so exciting about your follies! Thats great news. Ovaries are very strange creatures indeed... so glad your perserverence paid off!
Hi to everyone else I've missed!
AFM - 2nd IUI failed last week, so we're having a month off (we're going away on holidays tomorrow), before one last IUI attempt next month, then its on to IVF. My girlfriend who is a GP reckons I should cut my losses and go straight to IVF, am seriously considering it... See what happens this month, I guess! You never know your luck :crossfingers:
Hope you're enjoying your weekend!
FatGirlSlim OMG what a delightfull suprise!!!! Congratulations sweetheart, I know you could do it, just needed a little extra time!!! Wow and a few more follies than expected!!!! So happy for you, you must be over the moon right now!! I remember after I had my scan, the next few days went by so darn fast, next thing i knew I was spewing in the recovery room at Repromed!
I told you it wouldn't be long till you were on the "up" part of the IVF rollercoaster ride!! You just had to trust within yourself that your body would not let you down, and FS knows what there doin!!XXX
Sweetheart, I will chat to you before Tues morning, but sending you more goodluck vibes, you deserve them honey....WOOT WOOT!!!!!!
Leabie sorry your 2nd IUI was not successful, I completely understand how you feel. My DH says now, that he wishes we didn't do the 3rd IUI and just went to IVF, but that is only know that we have done an IVF cycle and he is feeling confident, I was terrified of having to do IVF, I too wanted my 3rd IUI to be a success. But only you can decide, are you stimming with IUI??? Good luck with whatever way you decide, we will all be there for you no matter the journey with bells on XXXX
Nice to see you here Sunbeam!!XX Sorry I couldnt help with answers for you babe, I hope someone can help X...............Hope your not too crampy today by the way, I always had cramping for a week after IUI.
Moonflower, It is lovely that you have 2 Snowbabies in waiting, I still don't know how many..if any I will hav for another week.
I had 1 other blasty that will prob be good enough as of Friday, and 4 embies that were a little on the slow side, and are still growing, deadline is Sunday, and the nurses don't phone for that stuff, they send out a letter. So I hope I get atleast 2 like you have. If we only get 1 and this current ET is not successful, I wil have to do anoth Stim Cycle, and I don't even want to think that far yet!!!! (Gosh I'm day1 in the TWW think positive girl!!) Dodn't mind me just talking to myself now!!XX
EmeraldStar I dunno about your cycle as I too have only done Antagonist cycle, but I still started with no AF, As my levels were at baseline anyway, but I actually had 2 days of very light spotting 2 days into doing the Puregon!!XX Sorry not much help, but best of luck XXXXX
BJ*81 I wish you the very best for the start of your new cycle, I have an accupunctre appt on Mondy, I used to have it all the time but I lost intrest when I wasn't falling PG. But I have started again now, it can only help i guess XX I pray that it helps you to grow some strong follies, will be lovely to hear how you are going, I will watch for your progres X
MissK how are you feeling sweetheart, are you still suffering those nasty side effects from the Levlen?? Hope you are feeling better XX
Rob :bellyrubs:
Juniper (HUGGS) am thinking of you, I hope your FS visit can sort your endo out soon X

Trubabe my heart goes out to you, you have been so strong. Just know we are all praying fo your mother and your family. I am so sorry for what is happening XX I hope your Mum is doing ok, and being strong XXX
How are those beutifull puppies of yours going?? I bet they are growing and have found their teeth by now!
Babytruj ave you turned into an eggwhite yet!!?? How are you feeling babe!?? Have been thinking of you X
AFM, my first ever ET went well on Friday afternoon, hey someone could have warned me to leave my dignity at the door hey???!!!! OMG what we do eh? I held the ultrasound on mt tummy whilst FS put the catherer in an inserted the blasty, we could see on the screen the tiniest flash of light, I was so amased at the whole thing.
They gave me a photo of out Blastie which is so great!! I talk to it and tell it to get comfy!! (DH has mamed it Harvey, dunno why, and I;m not game enough to ask....):shakehead:
It was so weird thismorning, to wake up and just wonder what is happening inside, the painfull hope and wishing to be a succes, oh this TWW is going to be the hardest one I have ever endured...................
I'm sorry if I missed anybody, take care all XXX
Hello ladies,
Sorry I have been a bit quiet. But I have been doing a little research for all of us.
DH and I have decided that with the expense of IVF and Medicare not supporting us like previous years we have decided 2010 is our last year of trying to conceive. I have a few eggs in storage and once they run out that is it. We have come to the conclusion that we have to stop some time.
But what I am getting to is:
Being on the 2ww thread for well over a year now. I have seen familiar names and also new ladies come and go when they get their BFP and Its always been lurking in the back of my mind, what did they do to get there BFP.
So I decided to start up a thread in the LT TTC - Pregnancy after LT TTC - " What did you do differently to get you BFP " in hope that we can get some answers from the lovely ladies over there. Any information that they give us might be helpful.
Here's the Link.
https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...ml#post2140580
And if any of you ladies do get your BFP which I'm sure you will, please add your " What did you do differently to get your BFP "

Hey Emerald Star, would love to catch up for coffee one day (well we really aren't surpose to be having coffee, maybe a hot chocolate :) ).
Mondays isn't good for me but Tuesdays is excellent.
Hellooo...
haha... Thanks MOONFLOWER for your dance for joy... !! So talented! - Sorry to hear your number 3 didn't make it....
MURRAYCOD You were spewing? Ewww... What do you mean by "leaving your dignity at the door?" - I am guessing it has something to do with someone working/peering/poking/observing withing a few inches of your va-hoo-hoo!! I think that it is SOOO cool that you got a pic of your Blastie!! See... that's ONE beautiful thing about IVF... who's baby gets a picture of themselves at blastie stage? Yours does! Mine Will! See??? Oh.. and the other HOW COOL thing... is that you got to see the exact moment that that little blastie... ahem... 'Harvey' was squirted into your uterus... cool? I think so!!!!!!
DH has been talking to my ovaries... I can never work out what he's saying because it's oh-so-muffled... but I think he thinks he's doing some kind of good... well, hey... 7 more than we had before popped up... so maybe he's onto something?
LEABIE - sorry to hear about your IUI... xx
AFM... I had my last Gonal-F and Orgalutran shots last night - and at 7:30 tonight, DH (with his now doctor-like expertise) injected me with my Ovidrel Trigger... EPU is on Tuesday at 7am-ish.
I think I might not go to work tomorrow - this morning I woke up in great discomfort - my ovaries are wanting to explode I am sure... I think it will also give me some time to chillax before Tuedsay morning...
OH... also... between scan #2 where there was nothing and scan #3 where there were 8-9 follies... I was SOOO unwell... so sick, dizzy, nausious... and I am thinking it's because my poor body went into overdrive to get these follies fattened up for me...
let's hope there's some juicy, healthy, rock-star eggs in there for Tuesday!
L x
FGS, since you go to the same place i do, i could give you a little rundown of what your day will bring on Tues. (and warn you of the dignity thingy!!!)
It was the unknown that scared me the most, so I hope I can put you at ease XXXXX
Sitting on 1st floor with all the other gals and guys doing the same as you, all sitting there nervouse and whispering cheeky stuff to each other, the men sitting there a little embarrassed about what they have just had to do, or just about to do....poor things.!
Anyways, you will get called in by the admission nurse who will explain a few things to you and go over some details, then you go and get changed into a delightfull blue um......wrap...:D anyways, and some sexy slip ons to go over your feet and a paper cap, I promise you will look oh so sexy babe!!! Make sure you take a dressing gown so you can wear that over your blue wrap thingy, cuz you wont be wearing any knickers down there!!
After a little wait in another waiting room, the anethetist will have a chat to you in another room, he is pretty cool, and makes you feel very comfortable. Ask you questions about any past anasthetics and stuff.
You go under a very light anasthetic, you sleep, but not a deep deep one XXX
Walking in the theatre room is a little overwhelming, there are so many people in there all with jobs to do, but everyone is super friendls, and treat you like you are the only one in the world.
Once you are laying down, the anaesthetist will put an IV in, so quickly I promise you wont even feel it, the needles we have to have every night hurt more beleive me!!!
Next he puts the good stuff in, and you can feel this warmth go up your arm....and then nothing, your out to it!!XX :asleep:
When you wake up in recovery, the nurse will write a number on the palm of your hand and that number represents the number off mature eggies they retreived!!!!
Have a feed of sandwiches, drink of water, after a while (if your NOT like me) you can go home!!!!! (as you know my stay was a little longer than others!!
The crampiness after is not that bad, but dont expect to do much or anything for the rest of the day, get some DVD's before you go!
Drink plenty of water afterwards, I can't stress that enough!!!!
Sweetheart, I hope you feel more confident after reading what the routine will be, as I said earlier, it was the unknown I was scared of, and there is absolutely NOTHING to be scared about XXX (will PM you about the dignity thing, its funny dont stress!!! That's the ET bit!!!)
Honey good luck, I hope it all goes well for you XXXXX
Danyelle thank you for making that thread X I will check it out XX
MissK, I'm not sure where you FS is getting the medicare info from, but I just copied this from the MBSonline website:

Trubabe, I hope your mum's prognosis is not as bad as you fear. I'll keep you and her in my prayers.
Murraycod - Thankyou for letting us know what to expect cause it doesn't seem as bad as I thought it would be LOL!! I will be crossing everything for you this cycle!! And I am feeling heaps better thankyou :)
Juniper - Thats weird! I see her again next week and will ask her whats going on lucky you said that!!
FGS - Congrats on the follies only one more sleep till EPU I bet you're getting excited now :)
Leabie - Have a nice relaxing time on your holidays sometimes a month off is a wonderful thing it actually takes a little stress off!
Emerald Star - When is your EPU? or are you still awaiting AF??
Bj - I was on Gonal on 75 trigger then they moved me to 112.5 then I OHSS so they are moving me to the puregon isn't it funny how you're going from p to g and I am going from g to p :P I hope all goes well for you I also have PCOS if you are concerned about OHSS get some sustagen and have that and drink plenty of water it reduces the risks of it :)
Hello to everyone else I hope your sniffing injecting is going as to planned and those in the tww I have everything crossed for you wonderful ladies :) xo
AFM - I started sniffing today it wasn't as bad as i thought I still gagged LOL!! Now I just await AF when I get off this pill and then day 3 start injecting then I guess they will let me know the next step from there when US and EPU will be I am excited but soo nervous at the same time due to my OHSS
Hello ladies!
Hope you're all doing well and had a fantabulous weekend! :)
MC - I couldn't agree more. My harvest went well, the little nap was great. I wanted another one after they woke me but they wouldn't let me go back to sleep. Grrr... ;) Thankfully, I was not sick but I walked through the rooms like an octogenarian! I noticed that there were about 4 other ladies who walked the same was I was, so had a little chuckle to myself! :)
Special mention to you FGS - will be praying for you, your DH, your follies and your medical team tonight for your big day tomorrow. God bless.
Just on that Medicare thing, when my FS showed me the new price chart, it ended up being only about $200 out of pocket more than for last year.
Right, must away. All the best to all you lovely ladies. I'll pop back and see you again soon.
Moonflower xx
FatGirlSlim good luck tomorrow, we will be thinking of you sweetheart, hope all goes well and you get some fat healthy eggies out of all this hard work you have put in XX!
MissK hope the sniffing is going well  We will all be here for you for the crazy journey that lies ahead!
Moonflower, cyber huggs to you XX
Thanks guys :)
getting a little nervous!

Hi ladies
Sorry once again Ive been MIA, so I'll try and do some persies but sorry if i muck them up. Work has still been very busy.
Tru-babe ~ Sorry to hear things arent improving with your your mum, hopefully after she has the treatment she will start to mend. Thinking of you and your family and will be praying xo
Murraycod ~ All the best in TWW, hope you get your BFP 1st go, very exciting for you!
Leabie ~ Sorry about your failed IUI, hang in there, you'll get there. Sometimes it just takes a few goes or more.
Em-star ~ no worries. GL with this cycle. Sounds like we are on similar cycles again. Im also sniffing and waiting for AF which is due now. All the best! Hope AF comes soon for you.
FGS ~ very happy for you that your follies started to do well and I hope you get a good collection. Remember quality not quantity! FX for you hun!
Moonflower ~all the best with your cycle, FX this is the 1 for you:bluedust::stickyvibesgirl:
AFM ~ Got my meds yestie, started sniffing Fri and start jabbing on 27th Jan for EPU around the 8th Feb - day after my 30th bday. They have increased my dosage so hopefully this time we get more eggs and have some to freeze - Im getting excited. For those that were interested I was told out of the $4,300 prepayment (Monash IVF) we would be about $2,600approx out-of pocket so not the best but better than nothing I suppose.
Hi to everyone Ive missed and GL to all :grouphug::bluedust::stickyvibesgirl:
Hey all
Murraycod - 6 embies is great! ET sounds great, and good luck to you. Keep positive and try not to get too anxious on your TWW.
FGS - I had FSH injections for about 10 days, and then EPU was about 2 days later. But I was on 150, as I have too many eggs. Some were too small, but some were a good size in the end. I had 38 eggs, but only had 11 frozen, so more is not necessarily better. As Rob said, we are all in different circumstances, and what meds we are all on depends on a lot of things. Try and relax and not get too stressed. That won't help you. You have to be positive and calm.
Yay for all the eggs that happened. Good luck for the EPU:)
WaitingAwaiting - we all know the feeling, and where better to rant than amongst people who are in the same boat as you. It is hard with other people around you having babies, getting/being pregnant, but you have to believe that your time will come. I have been TTC for just under 4 years now I guess and I have seen my best friends fall pregnant and have babies - and they have all had 2. I just found out my one friend is pregnant with her second. It is hard, but I know they want them too, and I wouldn't wish this horrible waiting game we are in on anyone. I may take my time to congratulate them (I need a few hours or days to get over the pain and disappointment that it is not me) but then I am genuinely happy for them.
Rob - Twins will be cool, but you are right, you go in this to get 1 baby, so any more is a bonus! Good luck, and I hope you are feeling well
MissK welcome to IVF:)
Trubabe - I am sorry to hear about your mum, but sounds like she is in good hands with lots of progress with things happening.
Leabie - sorry about the IUI. I did 4 of them. The first was positive, but with an ectopic, which is why I did the rest. BUT, IVF you have more control over. You know for sure that the eggs are fertilised. IUI you can't be positive that the eggs have even been released from the ovaries. My husband wanted to move to IVF sooner as he felt it had more control. I was petrified of IVF and the injections, but I managed with no problems, so am very proud of myself:)
Saying that, IUI is a lot cheaper to manage more often, whereas IVF costs a bomb. Enjoy your holiday, and good luck with the decision!
AFM, I am just waiting till my march cycle when we can do a FET, so in the meantime lurking in here every now and then.
Just something for your girls. A friend told me to drink 1 litre of milk a day (along with the 2 litres of water) during the meds. I didn't understand the whole thing, but it was something about getting rid of the side affects of the meds. I spoke to my friend who is a dietician, and she said that milk helps with hormones. I don't know if any of you suffer with PMT like symptoms while you are on the meds, but I had none. I was fairly relaxed, not moody or tearful at all. So 1 suggestion - drink milk while you are injecting Gonal F. It can't hurt, and if it helps any mood swings thats great for you!!
I don't know what the "sniffing" is about, I never got any meds to sniff. Just tablets and injections:) I think I'd swap an injection for sniffing something:)
Hope you are all staying positive and strong during this time!
murraycod - I'm glad that you went back to acupuncture, like you said, it can only be a good thing. I am such a advocate of it now....even though I've had 2 transfers with no success (yet) it is still such a life saver for me. If anything just to keep you relaxed and balanced out with all the stuff we are pumping into ourselves. I hope your 2WW flies by :crossfingers: !!! Hang in there
Miss K - Thanks for the info. I got moved over to Gonal F cos Dr wanted to put me on a tad higher dosage but Puregon only goes up in 50IU's and he thought 150 would be a bit much. The Gonal F has knocked me around a bit more than the Puregon though, have a constant headache and so tired! But on antagonist cycle so should only be another week and then EPU (eeek) I have been drinking tons of water but I hadn't heard about sustagen before so thanks :D I'll get some tomorrow. Will be keeping an eye on your progress, try not to stress. :crossfingers:
FGS - Hope everything went well today  for some good numbers for you :)
AFM - Have been on FSH since Sat, start the Cetrotide tomorrow and have 1st scan in the morning too, so lets hope those little follies are growing!!
:grouphug: to everyone xxx
Good Morning Lovelies...
Firsty, sorry about the 'no personals' - but I am just about to run out the door for a few errands and an acupuncture appointment...
Had my EPU yesterday... was not tooooo nervous going in - weird thing is... I remember some things that were going on in the room when I was asleep... I don't know if that was because I had just fallen asleep - or I woke up.. not sure... but I remember wriggling around and saying "owww" when I guess is was the speculum they inserted.. lol...
I woke up from EPU fine - checked my palm for that magic number.... 8!!! I was over the moon - which I think gave me some kind of rush because I was wide awake and happy after that... little premature my getting up and leaving i think.. I got out of the elevator to the car and wooohh..I started feeling SICK. Slept it off and was fine by the afternoon.
I jut got the phone call from the lab this morning to let me know - that of the 8 eggs, one couldn't be injected because it was too immature. Then, of the 7 eggs that were injected (ICSI) 6 of them have fertilised!!!
I am soooo happy. She said they're single cell at the moment, but by this afternoon they should have divided. A little nervous because they don't check them again til Friday, and then Saturday morning - and they wont call me unless something has gone wrong.
Really, really happy!
Thanks for all your lovely, supportive messages ;)
L x
Morning all,
MC - Thanks for remembering me & my appt yesterday.
Truj - You're stronger than me! Nearly 4yrs - I would be going insane! Best of luck with your journey.
Saw the FS yesterday. She asked some questions, did 2 different types of PAPs (the fat and the thin kind...!) and orders some bloods.
First one needs to be done on Day 22 (which is the 25th Jan) (Fasting) and is for Blood Group-ABO & Rh, Rhesus antibodies, HIV, Hep B Serology, Hep C Serology, VDRL, Varicella Zoster (antibody), Rubella, Herpes-Varicella-Zoster Serology, FBC, EUC, LFT, TSH, free T4, Iron Studies, Totoplasmosis IgG, Parvo Virus Serology, CMV IgG, Parvovirus IgG, CA 125, Prolactin, cholesterol profile (HDL, LDL etc), Insulin levels, Progesterone.
Does anyone know what any of the random letters are??
My second one is on Day 2-3 (at this stage I would expect it to be 5-6 Feb) and is non-fasting for FSH, LH, E2, DHEAS, Testosterone free, FAI, SHBG.
Again - letters?! I've tried Google but it comes up with more things that confuse me...
I go back to the FS on 12 Feb with all my results and then I should be having my Lap done within a month. Total cost without private health insurance....I'm looking in excess of $5k. Ew. I'm more concerned about the money than the surgery! LOL oh well.
Things we do for baby love :)
Feeling a little overwhelmed right now. Ok better look busy. My brain hurts.
Thanks for reading & hugs and random support to you all. :)
FGS that is wonderfull news, I remember how exciting that week of EPU and Transfer was, I loved it!! Enjoy every moment!!! Congrats XXX
WaitingAwaiting, WOW OMG will you have enough blood for all of that!!!??? Sorry can't help you with the meanings of all those tests, bit atleast it is going to be thorough!!
I hate BT's !!!! Evil vampires!!!!
So glad to hear that you appt went well though, and good to hear that you will get your answers soon enough XXX
BJ81, about that accupuncture, I dfinately wont be going back to that specific place again for as long as I live. He first, had a dig at me for all of the "Western Medicine" I was killing my body with, he told me I was killing my liver and kidneys having all of the "Westernised hormones injected into me", he then told me, my pulse was showing great signs of early pregnancy, but the cramping I have been feeling is not good, and not to expect a great outcome. He pretty much told me it had not worked. If I had not had a heap of pins stuck into me at that point, I would have told him to shove it up his ar$# and left immediately. Instead I told him to remove the pins, and I walked out...
I have been miserable eversince, thinking he was right about this cycle not working, I have had constant cramping since, and quite strong.
Oh I do hope everyone is doing better than me today!! Sorry I'm not in the most positive mood today XXXXX
MC - OMG how totally inappropriate of him...that's so awful that he said that to you. I'm upset on your behalf. R u ok?? *insert supportive hug here* Methinks you need to find a new accp person.
I have BTs too - and I surely hope I do have enough blood...am slightly concerned I'll run out half way through! lol
Hi all
Babytruj ~ thanks for those health tips, I'll try those. GL with your up-coming cycle
Bj*81 ~ All th best with your cycle :crossfingers: for you! Hope those follies are growing nicely.
FGS ~ that is excellent news, will have F and TX that they continue to divide and you get a great transfer.
Murraycod ~ so sorry hun, you had to go through that ordeal, thats horrible. Hope you find something to cheer you up but I'd try not to let it hurt you because seriously how does any1 know if its worked until your body does. xo
WaitingAwaiting ~ things we have to do to have a baby. It will all be worth it in the end though. All the best with your results and moving forward, hoping you get a BFP ASAP!
GL all and lots of babydust and stickyvibes coming your way!
Murraycod I am so sorry sweety, sounds as bad as my first double transfer. So I know exactly how you feel.
Maybe try bowen therapy. It worked for me. I did it for only 4 weeks leading up to transfer. The cramping could be a good sign as you will get that with implantation. You know mine as so bad I can actually tell the day the baby had finished as it stopped all of a sudden.
Keep your chin up hunny it ill be fine xox.
FGS awesome results. :crossfingers: for lots of little blasties. And remember like my embryologist from Repromed told me. No news is good news :)
Hope everyone else is coming along nicely wherever you are at in your cycle. :grouphug:
Hello ladies.
I don’t pop in for a day and a half and look at everything that’s been going on! Sadly, I must keep this short as I’m at work but thought I’d sneak in here for a bit!
FGS – I am so freakin’ happy for you! And completely jealous! 8 eggs, 6 fertilise. That is so brilliant! I’ll keep you and your embies in my prayers sweetie. Don’t get impatient waiting for Friday my sweet. The worst (tww) is yet to come! *chuckle* ;)MC and I will be there for you – don’t you worry!
MC – I can’t believe that s.o.b (am I allowed to say that?) said that to you. I am so proud of you that you made him remove the needles and that you walked out. You keep you head held high. That was absolutely the right thing to do and I commend you. I’m cranky that he made you miserable. Grrr....
WaitingAwaiting – I’m not sure which random letters you mean. I can tell you the following (sorry if I go over stuff you know):
Blood Group -ABO (these make up blood groups eg A+ or AB-) & Rh is the Rhesus antibodies – you either have them +ve or you don’t –ve. In my case, I am Rh A -ve. My DH is Rh O +ve.
Hep (Hepatitis) A, B, or C are the strains
VDRL - Venereal Disease Research Laboratory
FBC - Full blood count
EUC – Electorolytes, Urea and Creatinine
LFT – Liver Function Test
TSH – Thyroid Stimulating Hormone
free T4 – how much thyroxine is in your blood
FSH – Follicle Stimulating Hormone
LH – Lutenising Hormone
E2 – Estradiol
DHEAS – Is an androgen found in men and women (for testosterone and estrogen)
FAI – Free androgen index
SHBG – Sex hormone binding globulin
I hope this helps you. Phew! I need a rest! ;)
Babytruj, how’s the rest time coming along? I hope you regain all your mental, emotional and physical strength for March. It’ll be here before you know it!
Loops12, how’s the sniffing coming along? Gearing up for the 27th?
Rob, hope you are doing well and feeling healthy and happy!
AFM – I’m in the tww and slowing going mad. If you come over my way, you’ll recognise me. I’ll be the one with the crazy eyes in the corner doing this: :wall:
:D Have a good evening ladies! (so much for keeping it short!!)
MF xx
Hey again...
MURRAYCOD... omg! I am sooooo horrified that you had to put up with that RUBBISH! That's almost exactly what happened to me on my first Accupuncture appt - he was basically saying that Repromed were rubbish yadda, yadda, elevit is rubbish... and I didn't have the guts to up and walk out... YOU DID!! Good on you! However, I called repromed and got a couple of names of Acupuncturists that they recommend (they actually participated in the IVF trial with Repromed) and he is GREAT. He is absolutey brilliant!! Don't give up hun! Find yourself someone else.. and you tell them EXACTLY why you left the other guy- they wont DARE step on your toes :)
Your accupuncturist should be supporting and working in conjunction with your FS... Don't let him get you down! I've heard cramping is common in implantation - so don't get down based on that!!
MOONFLOWER... I couldn't wait... I snuck my head into the 2ww thread... and now I wish I hadn't...!!! Hahaha... you and MC... jeez, I can almost hear you pacing up and down in there... :)
AFM - (sorry if this is TMI) I have SUPER sore BBs... is it possible that AF will come before they get a chance to ET????!!!! Is there any other reason I'd have such sore BBs and cramps? I don't start Crinone til tomorrow night....
L x
Hi ladies
Sorry haven't popped in for a while but have been checking on how everyone is going. I'll do a few personals but sorry if I don't get to everyone
MC like everyone has said find a new acupunturist. I have lovely lady who has worked with MIVF and she puts my mind at ease.
FGS so happy that you got so many embies and don't worry you wont get AF before transfer I know its hard to beleive but we learn more about this trip the further we go along.
babytruj looks like you and I will be starting our journey together again in March. I will be having a FET and it all depends on when AF arrives and if I'm back from my holidays.
AFM doing everything I can to get my body ready again. Started regular acupunture eating right and hitting the gym really hard. Starting to see some benefits now got weighed by my persoanl trainer yesterday and in 2 weeks have lost 6kg I'd love to loose 15 before I start again so that's where my focus is at the moment as well as having some quality time with DH without being on the IVF rollercoaster
Moonflower- thank you so much! That info is awesome :) Much appreciated! This is all so daunting!
Hi guys,
I haven't been in here for a while, I have been trying not to become obsessive during this my first IVF cycle - it hasn't worked:D
My first scan to check that I was supressed found a cyst, but blood tests cleared me to start injections.
So I am on day five of my gonal f injections, my DH is a pro at them now- I still can't bring myself to do it! still on two sniffs of synarel a day and have my second scan on Friday.
I'm feeling a little bloated but otherwise fine - which has me paranoid the gonal f isn't working and then I have this new cyst to worry about but I am proud of myself for coming this far (I know I haven't gotten to the really hard stuff yet!)
I'm going to read through and catch up on everyone elses news now!
murraycod - OMG!! I can't believe that guy....what a jerk! But I agree, good on you for walking out. He should get his degree taken off him! I wish that you were up this way so I could recommend my guy....but try again, there must be someone else you can go to. Please don't let it get you down. Stay positive and just forget about him!
FGS - That is such a great result! Good on you  Don't worry, AF won't come before your transfer....our bodies do all kinds of odd things with all these drugs we take and procedures we put ourselves through. Just try and relax. :crossfingers: for friday.
Loops - Thanks honey. Hope everything is going along smoothly.
Moonflower - Oh the 2ww......hang in there. sending lots of :stickyvibesboy: your way!!
AFM - Scan was good today lots of follies all pretty good size but have to have blood test tomorrow and another scan Fri but EPU will most likely be next Wed. Will keep you posted.
Loops!! I am surprised to see you in here I wondered what happened to you and where you were at in your journey! Your 2 days ahead of me at this stage!!
bj - I hope all the injecting is going well for you!! Next wed won't take too long to get here with work and the weekend between here and there you will find it will be EPU before you know it!
fgs - Yay on the follies how amazing is that I bet your definately over the moon now :)
Murraycod - That is soo wrong what he said to you I would have beaten him with a stick and poked him in the eyes how damn rude of him!! Don't believe him and stay positive ok!! BIG HUGS
Moonflower - I hope the 2ww flys for you and doesn't drag on!!! I am about banging my head against a brick wall awaiting AF to arrive so I can start injecting LOL
terry - Thats fantastic news!! 6kg in 2 weeks is just awesome
Sharee- Welcome!! You know I said that to myself this time that I wasn't going to obsess and stay off BB during this cycle and you know what this is the best place to be with the best support and I find I am soo much happier talking to girls in the same position as us :) Sniffing is weird isn't it?? And regards to the bloating I wouldn't worry that it isn't working because I had bloating with gonal and it was producing follies for me :)
AFM - Well I am sniffing away hormonal as and I haven't even started puregon yet LOL and AF should be here next monday I think DH will be hiding out somewhere untill EPU lol!! And I am still gaining weight from the pill so YAY hehe but I know it will all come off and be worth it in the end!!
And I just want to say thankyou to all you wonderful ladies for the support you give throughout this thread because it makes it soo wonderful being able to talk to people in the same boat as you and how we understand each other!! So thankyou ladies!!
Hello to anyone I have missed I hope you are all doing well sniffing away, injecting, awaiting EPU and ET and to the ladies in the 2ww I wish you the best of luck!!
Double post :D
just sending some goodluck vibes whatever stage your at for all you LTTCers.
good luck
MurrayCod - good on you to walk out on him. It's not nice having someone so negative around you. My Accupuncturist wasn't so keen on me having had my tube removed, but wasn't negative about it, and is really nice to me.
Terry - Enjoy your holidays. I'm also going away - next friday and can't wait - I am going to South Africa (DH staying home to look after dogs) and will spend time with my parents and friends and just relax for 2 weeks. My AF looks like it should come on 14th of March - if it all runs smoothly
Moonflower - not resting so much now. I just realised the other day that I went out on New Years eve with DH for dinner and a walk around and a drink - and I only just realised that I was so exhauseted at 11pm and wanted to come home was becuase I had my EPU 2 days before. I just felt bad that DH had to come home with me, I tried to be brave and stay out late:) I feel so much better now, and really looking forward to a holiday.
To everyone else, good luck with all the waiting. Hopefully this will make us very patient parents;)
I can't believe that guy Murray Cod - how very unprofessional, definitely best you find yourself a much more supportive accupuncturist and don't believe a word he said!
Well done on the suprise follicles FGS!
Thanks Miss K, I think your right, a little obsessiveness is probably inevitable with something so emotional as IVF and sharing it with people going through the same thing really does help - I hope all is going well (as much as is possible) with your sniffing.
Good to hear you had lots of follies BJ! We may have EPU on the same day.
Well I had my scan today and there were 5 follicles on the right and two on the left. So I will trigger Sun or Mon and have EPU Tue or Wed. I have no idea whether that number of follicles is okay? Gee its starting to feel very real now - I am very nervous about EPU but very grateful that it seems I will get that far!
