Very quiet in here today - everyone staying busy which is probably a good thing.
Hi all and lots of :pink-babydust::stickyvibesboy:
Good afternoon ladies! Hope you are all well.
Terry - congrats on an amazing weight loss. Hope you're enjoying the acupuncture and the 'normal' life while you have it! ;)
WaitingAwaiting - pleasure treasure, hope it all helps!
Sharee - You're obsessive? I think that's a prerequisite in here! ;) Hope you're doing well with the sniffing and injecting. Did you trigger today or are they holding you till tomorrow?
BJ81 - GL & FX for Wed. Is that still your big day? Please don't freak, trust in your FS and yourself.
Miss K - Sorry to hear you're hormonal. Hope you level out. My DH told me today that he was ready to move out six weeks ago - hope that doesn't happen to you! Putting Handy Andy in the fridge is nothing - I went to work with my shirt inside out and then forgot to turn my oven on after only setting the temperature. Dinner was very late that night! ;)
Danyelle - have you gotten any answers to your questions? I'm afraid that I don't know any about genetic possibilities when it comes to NK Antibodies.
Babytruj - Ha! You're as big a Nanna as I am! When are you on holidays?
EmeraldStar - You must feel great now that you've gotten rid of all that snot! ;) GL with your injections.
Wishingbaby - thinking of you. Hope you're healing.
Loops12 - Hope your migraines have abaited and the mood swing have levelled out.
Rob - trust you're progressing nicely and you didn't suffer in the terrible heat.
AFM - just wanted to say thank you ladies for all your well wishes. I'm still in the tww and will be pleased to see you all over there soon. :) I'm doing well and am surprisingly chipper. Sending happy vibes to you all. Enjoy your remaining hours of the weekend!
MF x
Danyelle is this what you are talking about ...
Natural killer cells (or NK cells) are a type of cytotoxic lymphocyte that constitute a major component of the innate immune system. NK cells play a major role in the rejection of tumors and cells infected by viruses. The cells kill by releasing small cytoplasmic granules of proteins called perforin and granzyme that cause the target cell to die by apoptosis.

Immunological infertility
The immune system consists of immune cells (type of white blood cell) and cell products (cytokines). There are different immune cells such as natural killer cells (NK cells). NK cells are characterised by their expression of the cell surface antigens, CD56 and CD16. There are many types of NK cells producing variety of cytokines, some are beneficial protecting the body from developing cancer, and attacking infection while others produce toxic cytokines such as tumour necrosis factor (TNF) alpha. All NK cells originate from stem cells in the bone marrow and after maturation will either circulate in the blood or migrate and reside in tissues such as endometrium. Uterine NK cells are different from circulating (peripheral blood) NK cells.
Or Finally
Natural Killer Cells (NK Cells, CD56 Cells)
In addition to antibodies, there are a number of different types of cells that participate in the immune system. These cells are distinguished by structures on their surface. Natural killer cells are identified by the surface marker known as CD56.
There are reasons to suspect that uterine NK cells may be involved in reproduction. NK cells are the dominant type of immune cell in the uterine lining during formation of the placenta. These uterine NK cells are also present in the uterine lining of non-pregnant women. After ovulation, for example, uterine NK cells divide and replicate so rapidly that they eventually account for about 1/3 of the cells present in the uterine lining at that time. Uterine NK cells accumulate in large numbers at the embryo’s implantation site.
Hopefully this info may help :)
Hope everyone else is coping ok. xox

For all those ladies having pick ups in the next fews days I wish you all the luck and hope you get some great little embies
AFM think I've shocked my body once again. I've had a regular AF all my life but when I started this journey things seem to have gone haywire. last month I got it twice day 28 and then 23 normally I'm day 28. Now I'm upto day 31 still not here. If its not here tomorrow I'll POAS even though 99% of me doesn't beleive us trying naturally has worked
Hi lovely ladies! It's been a while since I've logged in, as we're still on hols. There is a lot of action going on in here, and quite a few newcomers. (Welcome!) It has taken me ages reading all the pages, so please excuse me if I don't reply to everyone.
Terry - Congrats on your weight loss, first of all! And FX that you have conceived naturally. That would be great news. We're also trying naturally for a couple of months due to Xmas and being on holidays. Have to get back into healthy living, exercising, seeing the acupuncturist, naturopath and personal trainer when we get back. Whew, sounds exhausting just listing everything let alone doing it
Murraycod - GL to you on your TWW. How many embies did you have transferred? I can't believe what the acupuncturist said to you. And I applaud you for telling him to take out the needles and simply walking out. Well done.
Emstar - How are you travelling this cycle? Thinking of you. Positive vibes.
Trubabe - Sorry to hear the latest news about your mum. FX for her treatment.
BJ - Hope your EPU went well.
Hi to Leabie, Babytruj and Rob.
Hello to all the newcomers and anyone else I've missed!
Well I'm home and feeling pretty sore and sorry for myself....only got 4 eggs :shakehead: a pretty disappointing result for me seeing as I had so many nice big follicles. Find out tomorrow how many embryo's we get out of it. I'm not feeling too hopeful, but guess we'll wait and see. Really don't understand why my results are all so different??!! It doesn't make any sense.
Also just want to know if anyone else has had EPU under sedation instead of under general? It was horrible!! I think I was awake the whole time and felt pretty much everything they did, really uncomfortable and kind of painful but because I was half out of it plus had oxygen mask on and a drip in my arm I couldn't let anyone know that I could feel it. I could kind of hear what they were saying too and did not get a positive vibe which has me worried that none of my eggs were any good. Plus I have never gotten sick with general anesthetic but got home today and hugged the toilet bowl for a few hours. Not really impressed.
Sorry to ramble on....just needed to vent.
Sheree - Don't let me freak you out...sorry!! Hope everything goes great for you tomorrow and you get some sleep tonight. :crossfingers:
Thanks to everyone for your well wishes today. You guys have all been so great xxx
Will let you know what happens when I get my call tomorrow :crossfingers:
Oh no BJ sorry you didn't get as many eggs as you'd hoped but even more sorry you had such a horrible time - I am pretty anxious about tomorrow and don't think much sleep is on the cards. I keep telling myself you take a nap and then wake up nothing to it - if I am awake I don't think I will keep it together at all :shakehead:shakehead:
4 eggs mightn't be as many as you had expected but it really isn't bad at all - I'm sure lots of people will give you the 'it only takes one advice' but let me be the first
I have my fingers crossed for some good news for you tomorrow
Sharee
BJ 4 is better than none hunny. Sorry I had a general for all of mine. Maybe make a note and seriously catch up with your FS about it. :crossfingers: that the egss fertilise and start dividing.
Sharee :goodluck: for tomorrow. It will be fine sweety. You need to have a warm milk and get lots of sleep it will be a long day.
Hope everyone else is doing well. Keep your chins up ladies. xox.
Clinic just called.....only 1 embryo. I am so gutted :crying:
Transfer will probably be tomorrow or thurs now as they don't want to risk trying to get it to go all the way to blastocyst. I just don't understand. Obviously my fears were right on, and if I was worried, why the hell wasn't my FS??
Sorry, I'm not in a good state today.
BJ I am really praying for you it is a quality thing not quantity, and all fertilise and end up being strong healthy growers XX
Good luck with your results today, I have been praying for you XX

AFM, thank the lore tomorrow will be my last pessary of crinone, so I can get this cycle in the past!!!!! Am so over it.
I am though, looking forward to starting a stim cycle again in April/May so focusing my good energy on tha so I don't get too emotional again on Friday with the "PhoneCall".
Can anyone tell me what AF is going to be like this month after a stim, will it be yucky anfd heavy?? The warning pains I have had for the past week are bad enough!!!
Take care all XXXXX
Oh BJ, I just saw your post, I must have been typing away when you were posting.
Darling I am so sorry it was not better news XXXX
I hope your transfer goes smoothly, and I will be praying for you for the next 2weeks.
Honey I wish it was better news
Murraycod ... Don't get excited just yet but I was on crinone and AF came both time before I even finished using the batch so :crossfingers:
BJ, I'm so sorry to hear your EPU was such an ordeal and that your results have been disappointing. Please don't give up on that little emby yet. I know the odds are lower, but I've seen people succeed from less.
murraycod, I've generally found AF after a stim cycle is longer than normal. For me it usually starts a little slower than a normal AF (maybe a medium or light day first, rather than CD1 being heavy like it normally is). I also find that I normally O late (usually by a week) the following cycle, and then have a shorter-than-normal LP.
Afm, my FS is finally back from his holidays and I have an appointment tomorrow morning. Time to find out if he'll help me do something about all this AF pain. Thankfully this cycle has been less painful than recent ones (only 2 days of pain compared to the last few which have been 3 days).
