Oneday - great news that your transfer went well. Not so great having no frosties. I would definately follow it up with them, even to get an understanding of exactly what they are looking for. Fingers crossed for you hon that these will be sticky little mites.
N2L - So sorry to read that you haven't had a great start. I hope that your higher dose is doing the trick. Did you have your BT this morning, will you get your results today? GL for Monday's scan, I really hope that your results are better. Anything can happen in this game.
Katones - It's not over yet! Your aversion to food, especially something as bland as chips, is promising. Plenty of women on forums (and believe me, I've read a squillion of them) have had spotting. Sending you tonnes of sticky vibes
Kass - Congrats on a smooth tfr, it must be such a relief for you to have done considering you have had trouble in the past. How old are your frozen embryos,? Were they suggesting that they were the same grade as your unsuccessfully thawed embie? It's such a lottery.
Terrae - GL for your FS appt. Waiting is the hardest. It will be great to get a start.
MelissaI - happy jabbing. I hope it speeds up for you
Wiiliever - Bring on the AF witch so you can get a start!!
Loops, Saffy, Happybaby and anyone I've missed - a big fat HI!
:pink-babydust::bluedust::crossfingers::grouphug:
AFM - had BT and scan on Thurs, lining is at 10mm which is great news as I had trouble getting there with last FET.
Transfer, if all continues well, will be on Fri. Am still tossing up the 1 v's 2 issue. Aaaaah! What to do. I change my mind about 10 times a day.
Have also booked in to see someone next week regarding my anxiety at transfer. Not sure how it will help, but hope it does some good. It gets worse with every transfer and I start to get heart palpitations and feel claustrophobic.:shakehead:
-
Tantee - thanks! My embies aren't too old - about 5 months. The one that didn't survive was grade A before freezing, so was the one they put back, but it was downgraded after the thaw. The two remaining weren't as good to start with, the embryologist said that one shouldn't have been frozen in the first place, and the other might be ok, but based on how the better two turned out, it seems unlikely. You're right - it's a lottery.
Sorry to hear your transfers are tricky too. Hopefully you'll get some good relaxation tips. Does your clinic offer any sort of sedation for transfers? I've started taking a sleeping tablet before mine, and I've found it really helps.
williever - good luck for starting next week!
Thanks Melissa - a retroverted ute doesn't sound like much fun! It's funny how they don't always tell you these things straight up. Yesterday my dr referred to my cervix as a 'corkscrew'. Nice.
Teirae - hope your appointment goes well next week
ntl - thanks! hmmm hamsters... the things we do to ourselves!
Loops - thanks! Hope you're going ok :)
-
kass - he he! sorry, I meant are they 2,3 or 5 day embies. Sorry, I wasn't very clear I hope you don't think that I was insuating that they were aged (impossible at 29 anyway) I wonder why they made the call to freeze the one said shouldn't have been. I had that happen to me at my last clinic. I thought I had 6 good frosties (nothing was said otherwise) to be told by the new embryologist when we went back for round 2 that they shouldn't really have been frozen in the first place. I suppose different scientist have different views on what is viable.
Anyways, I dearly hope that this little one sticks so you won't need to worry about any other embies just now!!! :crossfingers:
-
Oops :) that makes a lot more sense! They were 5 days

Hi all,
Dont have much time for persies - sorry!
Just got back from my blood test and getting my first antagonist jab. Clinic just rang and said my levels are still nice and low - which is good but kind of irrelevant now I guess given I am starting the antagonist.
Had a chat with the nurse who was really good. She did say it is unlikely I will get more follies as usually what you start with is pretty much what you end up with but, as many of you have pointed out, she said quality is much more important than quantity. She said lots of women get 20 eggs but they are "rubbish". She said if you have a small number it is sometimes good because your body is "concentrating" on those eggs. She may have just being trying to make me feel better but I have decided to believe her :)
She also said my FS will almost certainly go ahead with the EPU with whatever number I have. So that's kind of good - I guess...
Oh well, nothing to do but keep injecting the chinese hamster ovaries :) (Does anyone else wonder why they have to be Chinese hamsters???? :D )
back for persies later

Just a quick one N2L ~ I had 20 embies with antagonist and only got I think 9 to fertilise and then we lost most of them and had 2 transferred which ended in BFN, so I would think she is probably correct - the fewer you have perhaps the better :) Hope so for you hun, goodluck
Thanks Kass and Tantee ! I'm doing ok. My bday tomorrow and I so wish I could celebrate by being PG as well - wouldnt that be nice :(
Sending loads of :bluedust::stickyvibesgirl: to you all!!
-
N2L - It sounds like you have a good nurse. I hope your follies come along nicely. The only cycle I fell pg, was the one where I got 4 eggs and only one fertilised properly and I fell with that one. It does happen. I suppose when you think about it, in a 'normal' pregnancy there is only one embie in it with a chance at a time. Good Luck, I know it is a stressful time and the anticipation is draining at times. Just try and go with the flow and hope for the best, it cycle is so different, even for the same person and the first cycle is hard as they try to work out how your body works and reacts to certain protocols.
As for the chinese hamsters... I'm not sure.. but I figure that just about 80% of everything sold here has a Made in China label, so why not our hamster juice as well? he he!
Loops - Happy Birthday for tomorrow. It is hard every birthday that goes by to feel like another year without the result you want, however I hope that you still have a wonderful day with your loved ones. This has gotta be your year. A storm of baby dust to you on your Birthday hon.
I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Hopefully the rain will come soon and bring some relief from the HOT weather here.

Oh Katones :(
So sorry to see your post :(
Is there a chance that it's still too early?????
n2l
-
fairly sure it's too late now :( i have had my little tearies with DH and he is still hoping.....
other than that i will re-test thursday morning the have a blood test thursday arvo
-
Oh Katones I'm sorry you've got a BFN. I hoping that it's too early to detect.
Tantee That's great your lining is nice and thick. Mine always takes a few extra days to be think enough. Hope you resolve your 1 or 2 dilemma and you're able to relax before the transfer.
N2L I hope the scan shows lots of big follies. I've never got a larger number and the number of mature eggs was very similar to the number of follies. My scan this morning showed 11, 6 on one side and 5 on the other.
Kass Good luck in the 2ww. Sorry to hear about your embies.
Loops Happy Birthday. I hope you take some time out for yourself and the people around you spoil you. I know it's frustrating when life doesn't go the way you want it to. You are still a young chick and I hope you get your BFN real soon.
MelissaI I think you're 4 days behind me with your down reg cycle. I'm on day 9 today. This cycle has been full of headaches and crankiness for me. Can't wait to stop the Synarel - oh and then start the lovely Crinone. All the best with the jabbing. FX for some big follies.
Oneday and Saffy hope your 2ww it going well. not long til testing now. I'll pop into the 2ww to catch up with you all.
Big hello to everyone else.
xx HB

Happy birthday loops! Hope you're being spoiled and have a great day!
Happybaby - good luck with your cycle - synarel is horrible stuff! Not too much longer for you I hope :)
Katones -
Good luck to everyone!
-
Loops - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! Hope you have a wonderful day and FX that this will be your year :)
Happybaby - oh yeah, hear you on the headaches and crankiness. Glad you scan went well, I have my first on Friday. I am on a shift day off work today so am sitting stressing because I don't feel an awful lot going on down there, just the odd little niggle. Which is absolutely crazy as I have only had 4 Puregon shots so far. Ah, don't you just love the crazy, irrational person that drugs turn you into!!!! Good luck for the next few weeks, I'll (literally) be right behind you!!! Lucky us in NZ don't have to use Crinone, we just have little round progesterone pessaries that seem to try and roll away at the most inconvenient time as they don't come with applicators or anything. Call me a prude, but I still think no applicator is gross.
Katones - awwww, big hugs hun. I'm so sorry that this wasn't the one for you. Take care
Kass - had to laugh at your corkscrew cervix - no wonder transfers aren't the best for you if your FS has to navigate through a corkscrew!!! Hope the 2ww is treating you ok so far.
Tantee - woot for great lining and good luck for Friday. Have you made any big decisions on how many embies to transfer? We get two fully government funded cycles here (we are on our second) so can only transfer one, would prefer two, myself. However, I am going to try it on and see where I get with our clinic as I've had two failed transfers so far. Can't hurt to try. Hope all continues to go fantastically for you so that Friday is a goer.
N2L - I am so curious, I am going to have to go and read my Puregon insert to see about the Chinese hamster ovaries - funny!!!!! How are things going with your follies?
Saffy/Oneday - hope the 2ww isn't driving you to distraction too much, FX you both get some awesome results from it.
I have two days off work atm as I am working this weekend, was really looking forward to them but now I really wish I had the distraction of work. Its that whole thing where there is just too much time to spend on the internet and work myself into a big gibbering idiot!!!! BT on Wednesday, then scan on Friday. Really looking forward to them as I hate this not knowing how things are going.
-
hi ladies :)
I did two POAS and got a 2nd line both times, having a BT tomorrow to confirm whats going on so fingers crossed. I really hope this is it!
I hope all you lovely ladies are doing well.xxxx
Happy birthday Loops xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Loops - HAPPY BIRTHDAY, I hope you are having a wonderful day.
Melissa - gee I hope that the next few days go quickly for you. It is hard to do anything constructive when you are continuously obsessing about it all (as I do too). Maybe treat yourself to a massage or something if possible? I switch so many times a day in regard to the 1 v's 2 issue and have read up on so many forums and on the issue. I can't imagine having treatment in the states where the routinely transfer 2,3 & 4!
Katones - Big hugs. Are you counting yourself out due to POAS or other signs? Because it may be too early for POAS especially if you implanted a little later.
Happybaby - The synarel is nasty stuff. I much prefer jabbing to down reg, what's another needle (or 20) in the mix? you have some good numbers there! best wishes for a great number at pickup.
Oneday - Woo hoo!!! sounds VERY promising. I can't wait till you get your BT.
N2L - Here's hoping that your follies are top notch and you will be pleasantly surprised at EPU. When is your next scan?
Kass & Saffy - I hope you find lots of things to keep you busy in your TWWs
To everyone else - hi!
AFM - thought I'd share an amusing story that was in the Sunday paper this week ((pretty much the same re-hashed article as in the following link) (Not sure if I can post the link here administrators, please let me know or remove it))
http://www.smh.com.au/lifestyle/well...113-19phl.html
I can just imagine them rolling in the clowns on unicycles as the catheter is withdrawn. Sound the circus clown music.

Hi all,
Just got in the door from work. DP is cooking dinner which is nearly ready so I only have a minute!!
But wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOOPS! I hope your 31st year is full of morning sickness, stretch marks and heartburn (in other words, baby-baking!)
I had my last scan today. My lining is good and I have another mature follie on my right ovary (so 3 in total). "Nothing much" on my left apparently. I feel strangely okay with it and am concentrating on the quality over quantity principle.
Anyhoo, pickup is Wednesday morning. Yippeee!!!! And my FS has promised to get as much as she can out of me! We have also decided to implant two if possible.
My ovaries are aching right now - had to give myself an extra dose of gonal f in my work toilets today. I am tired and I am starving....So, sorry for the me post!!!!
back later x
n2l

N2L - does that mean you trigger tonight? GL!!!
