Krikkit when is your BT? Crossing everything for you!
Lol @ Ree
I definitely didn't miss it on the down reg cycle!! Though I took pregnyl last month and that was similar - orgalutran was SOoooo itchy though!!!
:hello: everyone....
So I learnt last night that Orgalutran is a bit#h. That stuff stings like crazy and I felt like I wanted to scratch my stomach off. Other than that my headaches seem to have gone away but the nausea looks to be here for the long run. I am dying to have an ultrasound to see how many folicies I have (FX there are any) but when I went in for blood yesterday the said I needed to wait until Wednesday :0( so wait I will.
I was also wondering for any ladies that have been through an egg retrieval, how long after the procedure were you out of action. I am trying to figure how long I will need off work, the doc said just the day of the retrieval but would rather hear form someone who has been through it.
I hope everyone is doing well and will catch up when I'm not on my phone.

Mrs Mac -I was out for about two days post retrieval the pain is what is debilitating, I nearly ohss too so probably didn't help. I ended up just taking a week off cause transfer was on day 3 anyway
Joeve - thurs is my bt again bfn this morning
I am out this month too. AF is arrived this morning right on schedule. The wicked, wicked witch that she is :( I am not gutted like the other months as I knew it wasn't going to happen naturally. Sure would have been nice though....*sigh*...
I am just glad we saved the cash this month and it doesn't seem so wasteful, when you haven't paid for it.
Will try taking some CoQ10 for a while and see how I go. That and continuing on at the gym. I dont know when I will get to use my frosties as this business venture is taking all our cash.
Hi to eveyone, will catch up this afternoon xxx

Hi Ladies
Kritkit - I'm so sorry it's a BFN.
Vic - I'm sorry Af arrived. She's so unwelcome. How is the buisness venture going? What are yu starting up?
Mrs Mac - I had the day of EPU off and I went into work the next day. I left work early though as I was in pain. I had to go into work as my boss was on leave and I was the only one in the office. Otherwise I would have had the day off. I ended up with mild OHSS though so could explain why I wasn't feeling well.
Saffy - FX for AF!
AFM - Seeing FS tomorrow. I won't be starting FSH because FS will be away over easter. So I guess I'll keep sniffing and he'll give me a date to start jabbing. I'm thinking I should have waited until after easter to cycle. Ah well too late now.
Just wanted to say sorry to Krikkit and Vic- that really sucks. Hope you are holding up ok.
Hi My turn - Hope you are well.
Vic - Really hope the business takes off for you and DH. Very exciting but probably daunting times.
Porshe - Good luck with your appointment tomorrow. Fingers crossed that Easter doesn't delay you too much and you get to jabbing soon (as odd as that sounds)
Kirkkit - Sucks about POAS - hoping that the result is wrong. Thinking of you. Hoping things change soon. We are in need of some good news in here.
Mrs Mac - Not long til ultrasound now. Fingers crossed you have a few follies growing nicely. I had two days off after EPU. But I really should have taken longer. I was in a lot of pain becuase of OHSS. I ended up having the whole of the next work off to recover from the OHSS. I think you really will have to wait and listen to your body. Some girls seem to bounce back quickly, for others it is more of an ordeal. I wonder whether it makes a difference if they do EPU under general versus mild sedation?? Hmmm, any thoughts ladies?
Hi to everyone else. Hope everyone's jabbing, sniffing or general waiting is going ok.
AFM - BT and US were today. Still a way off ovulation (I'm predicting sat). Lining at 3. I think it needs to be 7+. I freaked out a little during US when I was told I had 20+ follies on each ovary. (But then again I do have PCOS). I'm doing a FET (natural cycle), so not looking to grow lots of follies. Got worried that it might be a problem, but the nurse was nice and said that cysts would be the main problem that they have to watch out for. None of them idenified this far. So fingers crossed. Back for another BT on Wed and then I will find out when next BT and scan is. Was hoping to go away for the long weekend but it is seeming like I might have to stay around in Sydney for more tests. Sigh.
Mrs Mac - You definitely need at least the same day - I think I've been lucky to get the next day off (as it's been weekends or something like that), and you can have the day of transfer as well (as you can get a medical certificate - but you could go back to work that day). Personally I reckon the 3 days is nice - but you probably could get away with just the same day - just keep your duties light the next day. But it really does depend on how you cope with it. The first time I joined up to BB that weekend, as I was TOTALLY obsessed with everything... but as you are already here... ;) Just keep plodding away with the orgalutran - I found it got better, and don't forget to put out the air first (I stabbed myself WITH the air the first time! That meant I had a hugher bulge than I needed to!!!)
Sorry Kirkkit
Sorry to Vic - you know it's never easy even if you KNOW it's not going to happen.... cause there's always the hope that it MIGHT.... for you too...
What's CoQ10???
Thanks Jane :) I'm well
AFM.... started ovulation tests tonight.... the two lines were pretty close in colour - but I'm kinda expecting to ovulate later in the week.... it will be interesting to see what the US shows tomorrow... and whether Jo does a BT as well....
I'm predicting a ET next thursday... but would be better if earlier, as I have SSOOOOOO much work to catch up on, and school holidays are a great time to get the reports done!!
hope everyone else is doing well - I am certainly looking forward to the warm weather this week - it will probably be the last time melbourne will see 30 for a while ;)
chin up everyone... someone's gotta get a BFP soon.... don't hate me, but I desperately hope it's me....
My turn - that would be awesom if you were the one to turn the tide from BFN to BFP. That would be excellent.
I think I will be having transfer at a similar time to you so will stalk you in the TWW soon. Yay.
Fingers crossed for everyone. Let's get some BFPs!!!
Hi girls,
I hope everyone is plodding along well in here. DH and I have our appointment with our new FS tomorrow at 11am WA time, any suggestions on questions we should ask him? We havent had an FET before so obviously I will ask him how it will work, but is there anything you wish you had asked but forgot?
Aim x
I would ask - what gives you the best chance - day 2 or day 3 or day 5? I felt as though I had to research this myself and ask for what I wanted - which ended up being defrosting 3 x day 3 embies and trying for a good day 5 blastie. When I asked my FS was happy to do this but it wasn't suggested as an option, I did have to ask.
I would ask also about repeat FETs - can you keep going mon on month without a break if you want to?
Xx
I have started with an IVF cycle this month, my first one. Am day 13 now and have been having all the injections, gonal-f and orgulatran. Am not so happy with orgulatran as most of you have had a reaction, not so much ichy, just sore and red around injection area and then the nauseous feeling afterward. After nr 6 of this injection it's not as bad as the first ones... Tomorrow I'm going back for another scan and bloodtest and am hoping for epu on Friday, which will give me some time to recover over the easter weekend. We'll see how we go. Am a bit nervous about that part.
Fingers crossed for all of us!
Vic, Kritkit- sorry about the AF, I was hoping you ladies would start a run of BFPs.
Jane- FX your lining thickens up, and good luck for the FET.
Myturn- The Orgalutran was a little better for me last night, I think I might have made DH a little nervous the first time because I was freaked out so it hurt more than it should. I spoke with my boss and he has been very supportive about the Retrieval and told me to just play it by ear an give her a call if I need more than 1 day.
Amy- Good luck with the FS, I hope you appointment goes well.
Me4ever- you are only a few days ahead of me so guess I'll see in you the TWW. I have only done 2 Orgalutran injections but it seems to be getting better, or I am getting better at dealing with the stinging and itching that comes after it. That is one injection I will be happy to never have again. Good luck with your appointment tomorrow. I can't wait to get my US tomorrow and see my little follicles.
Thanks ladies for the info on the retrieval recovery time, guess I will just have to see how I feel on the day.

Hi Ladies
Jane - Do you O naturally with your PCOS? I have PCOS as well but I don't O regularly. So for my FET I have to be medicated. LOL that sounds like I'm doped up or something.
Myturn - Yay to those POAS's. Hopefully O isn't too far away.
Amy_Jellybean - Good Luck today.
Me4ever - Welcome and good luck.
Mrs_Mac - FX for you appointment today.
AFM - I start jabbing on Saturday. I keep sniffing until I start jabbing. I'm on 180ui puregon. Picked that up at my appointment and now just have to dig out my pen and away we go.

Amy - Hope all went well with the FS.
Porche - Good luck with the jabbing on Saturday.
Mrs Mac - I hope your jabs are getting better for you.
me4ever - Welcome. Good luck for your scan and BT.
myturn - thanks. And you know I hope it is you next :) CoQ10 is a vitamin tablet, its meant to help with egg quality. I went in yesterday and the pharmist advised against taking anything not approved by my FS. And my FS doesnt really like herbal stuff :( So I didn't buy any.
TTL - I am going to do what you did. Grow out my frosties. FX it will give me some answers about egg quality.
Jane - Glad all went well at scan. FX your lining gets nice and juicy. My FS likes mine to be over 8mm.
Kritkit - if you need them...
Hi to Saffy, N2L, Lyra, planetsasha and everyone else.
AFM - Well, looks like I am jumping into another FET. Yippee!!! We got an unexpected refund today from the settlement of my investment property which settled back in February and DH said to go ahead and use it. The bank doesn't need to know. We are booked to go to Adelaide for my nan's 90th on the 21st and it should work our perfectly if I start my tablets tomorrow. I have left a message at the clinic. We are still working on our business plan and the bank said they will look at it this week FX. (We are looking into purchasing a garden/ maintenance business) I cant wait to see if it goes through as DH has just been told he will be away again next week and will be for a while now :( So we are so hoping that it comes through
