I must admit I laughed the other day when there was an ad for 'Poise' incontinence liners to deal with LBL which stands for 'light bladder leakage'. Can't imagine wanted to post that on my facebook page. "Had a bad day with LBL today!" LMAO!
Porsche- I should probably have added that poor DH has been suffering lately becasue I'm never in the mood around reports time at school, so it's been a good 3 or 4 weeks, the poor devil. Oh well, he'll live!
AFM: Clomid came and went without many side effects this time, so that was a nice surprise. I will start scans next week I think to check follies and lining growth, and make sure I know when I o. I'm on hols as of 2.30 tomorrow so I can get to the docs no worried for the next two weeks! We'll give it a bash and see how we go. I must admit I am losing faith in myself, and I'm actually terified of getting pregnant again! Is that odd after trying for 2 years? Does anyone else feel anxious about it all to the point of almost giving up?
I better go and get my dirty little 3 year old in the bath so I can tell what colour his hair is again (good old sandpit!)

I feel the same as you. Even though I want to be pregnant more than anything I am also totally terrified of getting UTD again. I think we will always be anxious when we do fall because our M/C.

I am relatively new to the world of TTC while taking medication (and very new to BB).
I was wondering if any of the lovely ladies on here may be able to tell me some of the side effects of Clomid.
I started taking Metformin in February 10 after AF only visiting 3 times since ceasing the Pill in March 09. This regulated AF but after BT in June my FS wants me to start on Clomid as I am not ovulating. I am due to start the Clomid on cd2 (if AF ever shows up again) and was hoping to be prepared for any side effects I may get.
If anyone can help me with this I would be very appreciative as this is all very daunting ATM. Everyone on here is so positive and it has really helped to know that I am not alone in struggling to TTC (which is how I was starting to feel in my group of friends and family who don't seem to have any problems).

welcome shanshan! I hope your TTC journey will be short. I take Clomid and Metformin, and I actually found the metformin worse! On Clomid you can probably expect hot flushes and mood swings mostly. I also have had headaches, and some nausea, but not always. The first month is often the worst because your body needs some time to adjust I guess, so don't give up hope. I hope it works for you and you only need it once!
Rhi & Porsche; I'm glad it's not just me, but i'm sad we all have that extra worry to deal with. Hopefully we will all have luck and medicine on our side next time, and we will get a bubba at the end of it. I should not say hopefully, because it WILL happen!

ShanShan :hello: welcome to the thread. My experience with clomid I have only had the hot flushes and mood swings. I'm on my 3rd cycle, my first was the worst, but like Bec siad it must be just our bodies getting used to the hormones. GL with your journey here.
Bec - hopefully it is a good sign bout being randy, the whole TTC journey can be so draining and it's hard to be spontaneous with DTD (we don't even have kids to interupt us). It's always in the back of your mind "have I fallen PG", "are we doing it at the right time".
Porsche - wow all the things that you have to go through with IVF. GL with the whole journey and I'm looking forward to seeing your BFP post on here soon.
AFM - I know what you mean about being scared of falling PG, I don't know how I could handle a m/c and some of you have had quite a few. You ladies are so strong and positive. The thing I am worried about is how we are going to look after them and with cost of everything going up, don't get me wrong DH and I want to have a baby and are ready for one, I just don't want to let them down (if that makes sense). Anyway to post about how I am going with my cycle. I'm on CD4, so day 3 of clomid and OMG the cramps I am experiencing this cycle are nuts, it has been like someone is trying to twist and pull my insides out and there is only so much nurofen a person can have :rolleyes: . On the brighter side I have only had a few hot flushes on the clomid during the night, so FX'd that they stay that way i only have 2 more days.
Just a little question, I am trying the OPK tests this cycle and was wondering what the best time of day is to do them, I have brought 2 packets, so have enough to last me 14 days which I though would be plenty. Oh and also when should I start doing them. If anyone could help that would be great.

when do you usually ovulate Liz? If you know round about when, I usually go for 3 or 4 days prior to that untill surge day. If you're not really sure, they say go from CD10 untill you ovulate. It's pretty unusually to ovulate much earlier than that on clomid, since you can o from 3 days from the last tablet (I think, is that right girls?). That being said I've never ovulated earlier than day 21, so it can be anywhere in that range!

:yeahthat: I can O anywhere from CD15 - CD24. If you go to a site called Babymed they have a clomid calculator and you enter the day you start taking clomid and it gives you the dates to start testing for your LH surge, when you are likley to O and when to best make love. I used that site all the time. I usually test at around 5:50 - 6:00pm. They say the best time is 2:00pm but that could be difficult at work.:

This may be a stupid question but what does AFM stand for?
At the moment I am still waiting for AF to arrive. Since starting Metformim my cycles have been regular so I am not sure what to think of this latest hiccup. I am temping as well and have had an increase 7 days ago that is still elevated. I am hoping that I have just cycled late but I after 16 months I am wary of getting my hopes up.
My DH keeps telling me that when we do finally get our beautiful baby that they will be perfect as we have done plenty of practice (lol sorry TMI).
Hope we all get BFP soon.

We are looking at moving to a place in Victoria and we currently live in QLD so I cant exactly go to the closest city to check out who is around unfortunately. It would make things alot easier though. Maybe my current OB can help me out with that. I did start a thread somewhere on here asking if anyone could recommend someone in the area we were looking at going but I haven't had any replies. I cant even remember what the thread was under. GL with your round of Clomid. Thats great that you had very little SE. Hope you enjoy your hol's. I suppose it is good that you are on Hol's cause you dont have the stress of work and TTC.
Rhi: I'm booked in for the 16th of july for the lap. Little bit nervous about it. I am a bit worried that that is when AF will be here, not too sure if that will mean that I can not go through with it than or if it doesn't make a difference. Sorry TMI.
Exactly, why cant getting UTD and carrying to full term just be easy and you don't have to make these other decisions.

ShanShan: Welcome to BB and this thread. The ladies in here are awesome and very supportive. As for the Clomid SE, everyone is different. I had bad lower back pain and pain in my sides. I also had horrible hot flushes. Other than that, I was pretty good. AFM stands for As For Me. I can tell you this cause I asked the same question when I entered this forum. GL with your TTC journey.

just wanted to jump in and say i conceived with both kids with met/clomid #1 and just clomid for #2. so 3 preg- all with clomid my first one was an angel baby. I have PCOS had a levovist first with number one but with number 2 just took the clomid- i also took clomid at night to help with all the hot flushes
Hope- you can still have a lap if you have AF :)

Welcome to ShanShan! Hoping your stay is short :) SE for me with Clomid were hot flushes, insomnia, moodiness and overly sensitive. Some mentioned weight gain, but I have not experienced this.
Bec - Yay! for school holidays. I just spent the day with my sister (rarely have time to do that these days) and it was really good :)

AFM - CD 11 so we are full on into the swing on DTD. Thank goodness I should O sometimes this week/early next b/c I am back at work next week and that is going to knock me around since I have had 5 months of long service leave and sleep ins!

Bec- I haven't yet ovualted since going on clomid and not sure if I did before hand, so to answer your question, I really don't know. I was thinknig of starting around CD 8 which will be 2 days after finishing clomid.
porsche, you're a bit right with it being difficult doing a test at work. I am thinking I will try and do them when I get home from work which is anywhere from 4:30-6:30.
AFM- at least now AF has calmed down at bit now and I don't feel like my insides are being pulled out of me :dance:. I only have one more day on clomid and then it is time too see if it has worked this cycle and DTD at the right time. Thank you so much for your support and advice with the OPK tests, I now have some idea of what I am doing.

I am new to the forum...
DH and I have been TTC since May 2009. As I have terrible skin and what seems like a hormonal in-balance I went to the doctor to get tested back in June last year and as such was diagnosed with PCOS. So, we knew that conceiving would be a battle so settled in for the long haul. We decided not to let this dominate our lives, but as the 1 year mark approached my concerns started to heighten so I booked in to see the doctor to see if any other testing was needed, as a consequence was referred to Sydney IVF. After our first consultation he decided that I wasn't ovulating properly or at all so put me on clomid 25mg. Plus referred DH to be checked - everything was in the normal ranges except for Sperm Morphologoy which was 0%, however the doctor said this was not a cause for concern and that we need to concentrate on me.
So I am on CD3 of cycle No. 2 of Clomid. I take the tablets at night to try and minimise the side effects (as I am that girl who seems to get every side effect known to man ;-).
My mantra thoughout this whole time is to try and carry on as normal, but I found last month I got quite depressed towards the end and I was way too focused on what was happening, so this month I am going to try and chill out a bit more and try not to emotional eat - I put on 4kgs last month from eating comfort food - this is no a good thing since I am a fitness instructor and under watchful eye of members (if you get my drift ;-).
So.... Let's hope that #2 is my month - although DH seems to think it will be the third go!!

Thanks to everyone for making me feel so welcome and for letting me know what the SE of clomid are (DH is hoping I don't get the mood swings).
Rhi - I don't envy you going back to work after 5 months off. I struggle to return after only a week away, it probably doesn't help that my office usually looks like a bomb has hit it when I leave which doesn't make it any easier to re enter after a week away. I will have to work on this, lol. Hopefully you will get a BFP soo so you won't have to go back for long.
Hope - Thanks for the AFM translation, makes a lot of sense now I know what it is. GL with finding an OB/Gyn if you do move. I live 2 hours from mine but luckily he is very good and rings me with any results, posts out scripts or BT request forms and lets me fax my BBT charts to him if I have any concerns between appointments which I really appreciate as it means I don't have to waste a day of leave to go to an appointment for something I can do over the phone. Especially as I am trying to save up as much of my leave as possible for when I need it in the future, hopefully the very near future FX'd.
Bec – I had (and still have) a lot of SE with the Metformin so hopefully the Clomid ones won’t be as bad. I hope you are enjoying and relaxing on your holidays (probably not easy with your little one running around, relaxing I mean as I am sure he would make it enjoyable)
Epayne – I am glad you are feeling better. As for your concerns on the cost of having a child, my DH had the same concerns when we started. I told him that we will never be in the perfect financial place with the huge farm debt that he has so there is no point worrying and we will cope (although I am still hoping to win the $50 million tonight FX’d, lol). I went to boarding school for 4 years where there was a mix of the “rich” girls all the way down to the girls whose parents were struggling to send them to school. I know which ones were happier and it wasn’t the ones with money. Now I am not saying that it is bad to have money but it all depends what you give up to get it. In my experience a lot of the girls I went to school with rarely saw their parents as they were too busy working or travelling. I am extremely lucky to have (in my opinion) the best parents in the world. Now I will admit that I am spoilt, but the things I remember most about growing up are these – My parents always tried to make sure that one if not both of them were at any events I was involved in (a dad going to a netball carnival wasn’t a common occurrence back then, lol), driving me back to school at 5am on a Monday morning so I could spend that extra night at home, my mum reading with me every night, my dad instilling in me a love of sport that still brings us together, and always ready for a chat and a hug when I needed them. These things mean more to me than anything they ever bought me. I am lucky that I still get to see them nearly everyday as I work with my mum and my dad does work with us a lot as well. As long as you love your child (which I am positive you will) they will be the luckiest child in the world.
AFM – I am still waiting for AF to arrive! Isn’t amazing how when you don’t want her to show she is there like clockwork but when you are waiting she goes MIA. If she doesn’t show by tomorrow I think I will send my BBT chart to the Dr and see what he thinks.
Sorry if I have missed anyone as I am still trying to get up to date.

Welcome pumpgirl! It took me so long to write my last thread that I didn't realise there was someone else new on here (I somehow deleted it 3 times).
I hope everything goes well with this round for you and I love the positive attitude you have to it all. As for the pressure not to put on weight I understand completely as I am in the fitness industry too and the clothes we have to wear to instruct don't usually hide anything, lol. The tiniest bit of weight gain tends to start the members off on the "Are you pregnant?" tangent which just makes you feel twice as bad cause then you don't just get reminded of what you are struggling to achieve but that you look fat!

Thanks very much everyone - shan shan, so good to know someone in the same industry, it is a little hard to not focus on your body when all this is happening but I suppose we need to just accept bloating will be part of it - I have to admit this has sort of calmed down since AF arrived!!
On reading through the previous posts perhaps my weight gain is from the clomid not the crazy amount of carbs I ate last month - but since I now have saddlebags I doubt Clomid can take full responsibility :-)
I had some pretty awful side effects last month:
* mood swings - one minute the normal pumpgirl, followed by a swift change to a raging maniac with a vegence - the next a sobbing mess (I am no much of a cryer but it really felt good the day that I let rip)
* hot flushes at night (presumably since I take the tablets in the evening)
* cramping from around 4dpo - which was a problem since I had sold myself that I was pregnant
* Bloating - I looked preggers even though I wasn't
But was thankful I didn't get the headaches and that apart form the mild cramping all other major side effects subsided after CD12.
Does anyone know the average number that women take using clomid - obviously this is different for everyone?
Also, does anyone have a DH with morphology problems?

AFM: CD13 , so hoping to o early next week. DH and I are off for a 3 day romantic getaway for our anniversary from Sat-Mon so it would be great if o was around then;). The sweetheart got me a beautiful mohogany wooden box filled with French chocolates, all the way from France. It's about the most remantic thing he's ever done! It was a lovely surprise though.
It's nice to be on holidays and have time to sort my head out and reassess where I'm at. I get a bit wrapped up in the TTC thing, and it's been lovely to just relax and reaffirm that it WILL happen. For all of us.
I'm feeling very positive about this month. I suspect we'll see a few BFP's! :pink-babydust: to you all!

Bec - No I'm not sniffing at the moment. I'm on BCP for the next 10 days. I'll start sniffing again on Saturday. The BCP is to make sure Af comes and then we can start stims and then EPU etc... I wish it would all hurry up lol. I'm feeling ill at the moment. I feel really nauseous. I was the same yestersay as well. I hope I'm not comming down with something we are going camping on the weekend and that's all I need.

So went to the FS this morning and he has started me on 50mg of clomid.
As i don't get periods at all, he said to start it tonight and count as if i am on day 5 of a period ... which i thought was very weird ... but anyway!!
He was bery positive and an absolute delight, my DH was with me and the Dr said, "now don't you listen to anyone who says you should wait 3 days for your husbands sperm to be optimum or that you should do it every other day! these are your fertile days and i want you to go like the clappers!!" Lol! My DH absolutely loved it! Plus he is getting really involved and counted out what my fertile days and is pretty stoked its on his birthday! lol he is hoping for a bday present i guess! *sigh* lmao!!
Sorry again i haven't replied to your girls!! Im going to jump on my phone tonight and go through and read everyone's properly! :)

RhiChiChi - Thanks for that link, no not on Metformin for my PCOS. I don't have a lot of the symptoms, the main symptoms seem to be Acne (not cool having wrinkles and pimples :-), irregular cycles and the cysts. Thankfully I don't really have problems with weight except for when I pig out and although I am complaining, my BMI is still at the low end of the spectrum. But maybe he might end up putting me on it in three months - when I have my follow-up apt??
Miss Kris - Congrats on starting the clomid, I think half the battle is just starting and feeling like you are doing something! I hope that you get by without any side effects and it happens for you first go - we will probably be around the same cycle time
Becnxavi - I agree a break away can do you the world of good, I went to the Hunter Valley this weekend and it was a god send given that AF came, but because I had such a nice weekend with DH I wasn't as devastated as what I thought I would be - it's good to gain perspective. It will happen it's just a matter of when - fingers crossed sooner than later!! I find that it is easy to get sucked into the TTC vortex and once your there seems hard to get out so that's why although I am on this forum I am not letting it dominate my life, I just don't want to loose my early 30's to this if that makes sense??
Does most people here have friends / family with fertility problems, feels like my whole inner circle is either TTC or undergoing IVF treatment - wonder if it is an age thing?
AFM - CD4 (2 tablets down) funny dreams started last night (another SE I forgot to mention - does anyone else get that). I also forgot to mention being dry - again anyone else have that, do you think this makes it harder for implantation etc? Maybe I should research on "safe" lube?

Welcome to ShanShan & Pumpgirl, you both sound like you have had a rough trot TTC, I only hope that your stay here is short and sweet.
Pumpgirl, just reading through what you have written. Don’t want to stress you out at all but have you read any more into DH’s Sperm Morphology being 0%? As far as I know Morphology is the shape of the sperm, either the head or the tail, in some “rare” circumstances the morphology can be so bad that the men cannot conceive naturally. Like I said, not trying to freak you out, just trying to give you some useful information, as there is no point putting your body through undue stress on Clomid if it cannot achieve the desired outcome, hope you don’t take this the wrong way, let me know how you go hun, I have everything crossed that all will be perfect and you will conceive this month, fx! Also on your question about cycles of Clomid. I was on clomid for 9 cycles, 6 last year and then 3 this year (post laparoscopy) before conceiving for the first time. I honestly believe the lap had a lot to do with conceiving though and Clomid just helped along the way, PS: I wasn’t ovulating on my own either. As for having friends or family with fertility problems, other than my sister who is in the same boat that I was, I don’t know anyone else with issue, I think you can count yourself lucky that you have people around you that understand, hope they’re supportive for you.

Thanks for the info Keli. Wow - 9 cycles & huge congrats!! My sister has had 2 Laps - she has endo, but my issue is with PCOS, wonder if you need one of those if you have PCOS. Sorry if I sound ignorant, I actually haven't done loads of research on this stuff... RE: Morph results, I think with Sydney IVF they have a really strict testing regime and 4 - 8% is considered normal so as far as I know 0% isn't quite as bad as it sounds. In saying that, we are really tightening up our lifestyle - eating organic fruit veg & meat, less alcohol, more vitamins etc etc etc. The FS was really not disturbed by the test at all and in fact said if he got that test he wouldn't be worried and that it is only me with the problem. Although, doesn't stop me wondering :-( and I would definitely be interested in hearing from someone who got this result from Sydney IVF and went on to conceive. As for support, I haven't actually told many people. I find that the more people know the more they ride the emotional wave with me and I can't stand people asking about it and wondering etc etc you know?? So, I have chosen to keep it a bit on the lowdown, plus (this might sound stupid) I almost feel that those of my loved ones going through IVF are doing it much tougher than me... But those that do know are certainly really supportive :-)

ShanShan, thanks for the lift about the whole money issue, I know money isn't everything, I just don't want to end up like my folks did when I was a kid (having to sell the house). I had a great childhood and have loving and supportive parents that would have done anything for us. Mum was my netball coach for a few years over the 10 years I played outdoor for. And we went out fishing in dad's boat at least once every month. You sound like they did anything for you as well. I hope we are going to be great parents.
Welcome Pumpgirl, this is a fantastic thread to be on as everyone is so supportive. I have experienced the funny dreams, but when I take the provera tablets, not the clomid. Lol bout the moods swings, I had a brakdown over the dishes. DH got on my nerves bout other stuff, I snapped at him, then went to do the dishes (as he wouldn't) and bald my eyes out. Now that I think about it my cycle now and last cycles I have been a little dry just after finishing clomid, but only lasts a couple of days. GL for this cycle.
Miss Kris yay on the FS listening to you. Mine has a great sense of humour and it so puts DH and I at ease when we go for our visits. I've got my FX'd that you don't get the side effects or if you do then they aren't too bad. It is great that DH is getting into the whole process, my DH goes to our FS visits, but it took a while for everything to actually sink in (with DH) and him start to talk about what is happening. FX'd that it only takes one cycle.
Bec how nice is he. There is a part of them that can be romoantic sometimes LOL. Hopefully you do o over your break away. It is great to have time to just relax and take time to reassess where are at and no be wound up over TTC.
Porsche, sounds like you're just getting started on all the meds that you have to have, GL with it all and waiting for a BFP soon.
AFM I finished taking clomid yesturday. I'm going to start doing o prediction tests on Thurs arvo CD8. Other than that, nothing else to report here except waiting and DTD (sorry for TMI). Can't wait for some BFP's on here.

Phew, glad you took my last post the way it was meant. Yes our journey has been quite a long one, just over 3 years in total of TTC # 1. I too (and my sister) have PCOS, I also have some endo. By the success rate on this forum amongst women with PCOS I would highly getting a lap, it seems to have worked a treat for almost everyone that has had one, pg within 3months, unfortunately not always with a sticky one though .
Totally know what you mean about trying to keep it on the down low, not letting it consume your life and not telling too many people. After probably 18 months of TTC we eventually told everyone cos I couldn’t handle the “when are you two going to have a baby” question, it shattered me every time someone asked, but then I had to put up with the “how’s it all going” every time I saw them, not quite sure what was worse. I totally respect your decision in trying to keep it to yourselves, glad to hear those that do know are very supportive though.
PS: I also highly recommend preseed, it’s awesome!
None of my sisters have problems that i know of, but of course, none of them are trying to have a baby! lol So i won't know until they do start. Though the lucky ducks will prbably be like my mother and fall just by hanging dads pants on the line ... *****es ... LMAO!
I just thought i would share with you girls, i have a tendancy to get negative in the way i think and its put a real downer on the whole TTC thing! So today i have done up some "positive affirmation posters" lol and i am going to tack them to my wall so its the first thing i see in the morning! :) i will colour them tonight nice and bright and cheery! I have written down negative thoughts and then turned them into positive ... for instance ... My body is a failure and will never work properly = My body will ovulate and i will get pregnant
My god im going to be a horrible mother = I will be a fantastic mother
annn of course i did up one saying i love stephen (DH) lol so he doesn't feel left out! lol!
Sounds weird i know, but i will let you know if it helps me get through the day! :) lol
Epayne - Wow, when I read your thing on the dishes I could totally relate. It is funny how irrational you can get. DH and I have put an action plan in place for psycho me :-) Hasn't started yet but no doubt it will happen this month - at least we know what we are in for!
Keli - of course, these things are for experiences, advice and theories so I am interested what everyone has to share, and I understand that nothing would be said in this forum to upset anyone - all good :-) And yes, I know what you mean about the asking... DH and I have been together for 10 years, we get asked a lot but I always say not ready now blah blah blah - but it gets on my goat! Oh well, I am sure they mean know harm - it's funny how it is always the randoms that always ask i.e. work colleagues etc etc. Hopefully soon I will be able to say I am up the duff ;-)
Miss Kris - great idea to put up motivational posters. I think that it is important to protect and prepare yourself as much as possible and if that will help you then it can only be a good thing. I find that exercise is my outlet, if I start to feel frustrated or down (for whatever reason) I go for a walk or run... I didn't do this on the last two weeks of my cycle (I still taught my classes but it doesn't count as it isn't me time), anyway I guess my point is, it's good to find something that helps you to clear your head and bring in positive thoughts - good luck, I hope you do O - I had never O'd properly until last month which was my first cycle on clomid so FX for you!

Definately get pre-seed. Clomid was awful drying up what little CM I had :S I only use btw 0.5 - 1 ml (?) anything more and it seems like too much
We never told many people our issues with TTC but we are being more open about it & so many people are supportive and it feels less of a burden at times :)

AFM no news here. Just started back on the Clomid (5th round) and on day 2! I never really feel any major side effects when I'm taking the tablets - it's the rest of the month that's rotten. Mad, mad crazy dreams, hot flushes, and crying at the opening of a bag of sweets! Sometimes it's good to let it out though!!!! And if I'm suffering , my partner might as well suffer too!!!!
We're heading to Lanzarote tomorrow for 2 weeks of lazing about in the sun. I'm really looking forward to a long break with some much needed alcohol..... i know I shouldn't but fed up being good. Best wishes to all you girls and I look forward to hearing some good news when I come back x

I am still so confused by the whole PCOS thing. So when I was diagnosed about 2 ½ years ago, my sister (who is 3 years older then me & a paramedic) started researching and found out that she had a 50% chance of also having it. Naturally she went and had an internal ultrasound and was also diagnosed. Whilst she was not at the time TTC (she only got married this April and is now TTC) she was still able to go through everything I have, Naturopath, Gyno, FS, Clomid & Lap, so that now that she is starting to try she doesn’t have to start from the beginning. PS: She has been off the pill for 2 years and has done all things mentioned and still the only way she can get a period is to go back on the pill for a few weeks and then stop it again. Provera didn’t even work. Poor love.
So I am rather confused, I have never found anyone yet who had a sister with the same condition (PCOS) yet all I seem to read it that it’s genetic. Whilst we cannot trace it backwards in our family we both have it. Anyone’s else’s opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Rhi, lol couldn’t agree more about using too much preseed, I found if we used too much (like what they say on the pack) we would both loose a lot of the sensation, sorry for TMI.
Clamagee, yey, nice to see you back again, I was secretly hoping that you were UTD but good luck for this month hun. Go for it, enjoy your holiday you deserve it. I say drink what you want, it helps to relax. The weekend before I found out I was UTD I was out touring wineries with some friends and DH in the Yarra Valley. Cos there’s no blood cross within the first 2 weeks after conception it actually doesn’t matter what you put in your mouth, so long as you stop once you’re past the 2 week mark. Hope you have a wonderful time in the sun, I’m super jealous.
omg i took my first pill last night and today i have the start of a hot flush, but it always drizzles down and never eventuates into a full blown take my clothes off thing lol but my back is extremely warm though! Which is unusual for me cos im such a cold person lol!!
I also have a stabbing pain in my left ovary ... but i thought you weren't meant to get SE this quickly? lol!

Glad you're back Clamgee! Enjoy your hols and have a drink. I was naughty last weekend too, and had some (or a bit too much) tequila! I don't normally drink, but I had a great time with my friends!(which i always do, it was just fun to not be the one who wasn't drinking like I normally am)
As for the support thing; most of our close friends and family know we have been TTC and about the m/c. I don't feel I should have to hide it, it's part of my life. I try to be as upfront as I can if people ask about it and I don't feel like discussing it. My usual answer is 'nothing new to report!" and they back off. But it's an individual decision we all have to make and be comfortable.

Hi Girls
As my Dr isn't sure whether I have PCOS or Endo (some indicators but not strong ones) I haven't really looked for a family link. My mother had irregular cycles and a history of pelvic inflammatory disease so was told to start trying immediately but she got pregnant on her first try. My cousin and Aunt both fell easily as did my maternal grandmother. Since starting TTC I have found out that my Paternal grandmother took 2 years to fall pregnant, but once she did she had 4 in 4years (and another 2 later, the last one 16 years after the first, she eventually gave up trying for her girl), so I am hoping that maybe I will be like her.
As for support, it is a hard one. Most of our friends know we are TTC (as we have been trying to do since getting married and they are now used to me always being the designated driver), but only a few really know what we are going through in regards to meds, etc. Our parents both know as I am very close to my in-laws as well (I have known them since I was 8) and we like to keep them informed. My mum is one of my biggest supports and is always good to use as a sounding board about any meds, tests etc as she is a midwife/ Director of Nursing. Friends are hard as it is only the close ones that really know what is happening and the others can be a bit insensitive. Telling me stories about their friend who was told they had no eggs and then had a one night stand and got pregnant with twins isn't always inspirational, it p***ed me off more than anything as she wasn't even trying (sorry I know I should be happy but it getting harder they bring this up all the time).
Clamgee - enjoy your holidays and enjoy a few drinks, plenty of babies have been successfully conceived using this method, lol. I think I will try it myself in a few weeks.
Kris - you are scaring me for when I have to start the clomid next cycle, although I guess if you are getting the SE it is working? I am glad that your new FS is a good one, GL with this cycle.
Keli - Hope you are enjoying your pg, it is good to hear from people who have been through this and have finally gotten their BFP. GL with the rest of your pregnancy

AFM - Still no AF. Sent BBT charts to Dr yesterday as I am now on cd44 of what has been 34 day cycles since starting the metformin. He seems to think that AF will arrive within the next week but couldn't offer any advice on why my cycle has lengthened all of a sudden (but definitely doesn't think I am UTD as I don't ovulate). Bit frustrating but will keep charting and see what happens.
