Ahurani & Keli, are you using docs or OB/GYNOs?? I obvioulsy haven't had a BFP and i wonder when i get it if i got to docs or ring my OB/GYNO for a blood test? Lol!
Miss Kris, I went to my GP to get a blood test. Firstly because they are cheaper, secondly cos I could get in there a lot quicker, & thirdly cos I dont have an OBS, I was just seeing an FS. Now I am in the public system and therefore am seeing midwives. So to answer your question I think you can do what you like but my suggestion would be to go the your GP. Hope that helps

AFM: Well last dose of clomid is tonight (yay). Having at any mood swings yet (well noone has said anything, lol) but I still have the muscle cramps, severe headaches and even more fatigued than usual. Oh and the hot flushes have been fun in our minus 0 weather (get some strange looks taking jackets off and then putting them back on constantly). Have purchased some preseed and OPK's so I am ready for O, if we get lucky and it happens.
Hope we all are joining Keli and Ahurani very soon.

I'm 24 have been married for over 2 yrs and we have been trying to coneive for 3. I have endometriosis and PCOS. I had surgery top remove cysts and endo in feb (endo has already grown back) and am now on clomid (150mg for 5 days). I have been on clomid for 2 months now previously ovulation before clomid was 9 after month 1 was 69 and now is 179. my cycle this month was 38 days :( in the booklet it says it shouldnt be more then 35 i O on day 18 but previously it was day 16 and my cycle was only 30 days before... Anyone got any advice is this normal should I be worried? What should i do!!

It is completely normal to have long cycles. Nothing is set in stone. I have been ovulating on CD23. Don't take the booklet as gospel as there are many vairables.

Hi ShanShan, no ms is not easing up yet, I’m still spewing 1-2 times a day and I think I am now stuck with that for the remainder of this pregnancy. I’m not complaining though, it is all totally worth it. GL for O coming up, nice work on being prepared, preseed is fabulous, try not to use too much though, too much and you can loose sensation (IYKWIM), he he sorry TMI. GL with the OPK’s let us know how you go with them.
Lisi_lou85, welcome to this wonderful forum. Hopefully your stay is very short and you get that long awaited BFP very soon. Wow you have been TTC for a long time, your story sounds quite similar to mine too. 38 day cycles are totally fine, especially if you have PCOS. Everyone is different, Oing at different times & AF arriving at different times. Ask away if you have any questions though, the ladies on this forum are a world full of knowledge and no question is ever silly. GL hun.

ShanShan - Have you decided what you are going to do exercise wise this month? I think exercise is helping me, I only had that one psychotic episode on Saturday (didn't do any training that day), have actually be fine the rest of this week and I am hoping I am past it now - FX anyway!!
Keli - thx for the info on the OPK, that is the brand I have - I haven't tried it again as yet, but might do it today & see how I go
AFM - CD13, I am kind of crampy which I didn't get last month - wonder if it is "o" cramps, CM hasn't changed but have been good with DTD every two days, we haven't had as much problems with the dry issue this month, still dry just not as bad as last month. I am feeling OK this week, although it's funny last month I was really positive I was going to get a BFP and got BFN, and this month I feel certain I am going to get a BFN - obviously still trying.... Do you guys ever get instincts??
Pumpgirl I always back right off if there is a possibility of being UTD due to overheating possibly causing developmental issues. Have also backed off this week as I kept getting hot flushes that don't go well with exercise (massive nausea and dizzy spells).

I got excited yesterday morning because i had a temp drop!! So poor DH got jumped twice last night! LMAO
My temp has gone back up this morning! That is a good sign right? lol! Means i ovulated last night or today??

I guess i want to know anything and everything... before me no1 in my fm had had problems so i have kinda been feeling my way in the dark didnt know these things existed and as hubby in defence always moving it hard to have that girk fried or support group there... so yeah havent really spoken to anyone apart from my gyno bout this.. but whats the best ways to know when i ovulte my gyno has been doing ultra sounds and blood tests n stuff and I tried taking my temp but im having hot flushes ALOT so it didnt give me any indication.. also i have a salive test similar to maybe baby but i cant tell if i am or not with that either!!! basically im a big heap of confusion lol.. just bought my new scripts of clomid today so fingers crossed u guys can help me :) ur stories are definately helping me and i wish every1 all the best :)

Kris- the waiting is the worst! I had to stop having my scans every few days, and the BT becasue it just took over my life and I can think about nothing else! If you think you o'd you probably did. Trust your instincts. Then you can relax for a while! It's so frustrating, I know!
Lisi-lou- welcome to the thread! Such a lovely group of ladies to talk to in here, and I'm sure you will find the support as great as I have. As for the ovulating: if your doc is going to do scans for you, that's great. It's a good way to know if follies are growing and can give you an indication of when you are about the ovulate. I've also had the trigger shot sometimes, just to make sure, especially when my cycles were long (I usually o about CD21-23). BT will probably be done post ovulation, so it really only tells you you HAVE (or not) ovulated, not when. I don't temp either, I found it to be all over the place! With clomid, I find I get very painful cramps wehn I o, and EWCM for 3 days. The scans will probably help you to recognise what your body does when you ovulate, becasue of course everyone is different. As Porsche said, it can change month to month. Sorry for the info overload! GL this month and hopefully you get your long awaited BFP!
Pumpgirl- there have been months when I have been positive I am UTD, only to find I'm not. And with the 3 m/c it was only the 3rd one I had an inkling I might be pregnant. I'm feeling really positive this month, for example, but I'm REALLY trying not to get my hopes up. (Who am I kidding, they are already up and I only ovulated today!)

Good Morning everyone
First of all a HUGE thankyou to all the support from everyone during my melt downs with lap/IUI/IVF decisions and the useful tips for treating thrush. Unfortunately I still have a mild case of thrush (it just doesnt want to go away :( ) and now I have a cold :cold:
I am booked in for my lap this friday which turns out I no longer have to have. Yesterday morning I asked DH if he wanted me to POAS as he kept saying he thinks I might be UTD but I really didn't think I was at all. So anyway, I got up, POAS and went straight back to bed knowing what the result would be. DH than got up to check it and he said There is a second line there. I said whatever but had to get up and check any way. I still didn't believe it so I did another test later in the day (a digital one) and it came up flashing "Pregnant". I did another test this morning and still two lines. I rang OB/GYNO rooms today and am now booked in to see him on Friday in his rooms, not on the operating table.
This is how much I didn't think I was UTD. Two weeks ago I went out on a girls night out which I felt was very much needed after the stressful 12 months we have had. I am not usually a drinker but I had a bit that night. I have had canasten (sp?) tablets to try to fix thrush. When I woke up with a cold I got straight into the cold and flu tablets. I've been eating all foods you shouldn't eat: peanuts, processed meats, etc. I hope now that I have not caused any harm. I am usually so very careful just in case.

Looks like I might have to join another forum now. I love being with all of you so much. You have all helped me out so much. I will still keep an eye on you all to see how you are all going. I feel a bit sad about leaving here. If you would like me to, if its not too painful for you all, I can update you on what the OB says on friday at my appointment.

Keli: Not too sure how far along. It would only be very early. My last cycle started on the 14th of June so if I go by that day I would be about 3 weeks or so. I am going to GP tomorrow so hopefully she will do a BT so I can know. I wasn't going to post anything until I had been to OB but I couldn't contain myself, lol.
Ahurani: Wow, Congrats on your BFP. I must of missed a page of posts cause I didn't even see that anyone else had got a BFP. Sorry about that. Have you been to Doc yet?

I have a question i need answered ...
I took my clomid days 5-9 and now am on CD17 ... i have had everyday since taking clomid, cramps and ovary pains. I think i ovulated friday just gone cos i had heaps of EWC (Sorry for the TMI) lol but im really confused as to why im having cramps and ovulation pain still ... shouldn't it stop after ovulating? Lol! Sorry if that was a really dumb question... It is making me wonder if i haven't ovulated at all yet. And i am still obsessing lol i can't stop checking my temp chart etc and its so annoying!! lol
Hey Miss Kris, so not a dumb question at all, it is all so confusing. So my question would be has your temp gone up get? If it's up and has stayed up then yep you have O'd, if not then I'd probably say not yet. As for why the pain...sorry not totally sure, I often had pain after O though, oh it's all so confusing. Hope that has helped a little.
i was so excited yesterday because my temp skyrocketed, but today it come down a bit again, which got me a bit disheartened. Though it still is a high temp. Here is the link 2bb4bd Ovulation Charts so you see what i mean lol but i found with clomid my temps are really raised and all over the place as i have been having really bad sleeps as well...
So I had a look at your chart, to me it looks like you O'd somewhere between Thursday and Saturday (inclusive), I cant be certain though. I'm sure all you feel like you're doing is waiting but maybe see what tomorrow's temp does and then reassess. I'm thinking you've O'd though. Are you having a BT this month to confirm?

Well that will be good to get a BT, then you can know for sure. Maybe DTD for the next few days anyway until you are SURE your temp has gone up. Keep me posted on how it goes. I have everything crossed that this is your month.
I am 17weeks now, cant believe how fast it flys. Our next scan is on the 4th August and no we have decided we're going to have a suprise. So our baby is having a multicoloured room.

Oh my gosh Hope, That's great!!!!! I am so excited for you! I hope and pray for you that you've got a sticky one, but maybe when you see you GP you could be refered onto a specialist straight away becasue of your history? Whoo Hoo!! I wouldn't stress too much about what you did or didn't do early in pregnancy, by the sounds of it, it was around ovulation, and I've heard drinking and stuff is mainly a problem once the placenta begins to function??? Plenty of people (including me) got plastered before they found out they were pregnant and have gone on to have healthy bubs. You will too!
Kris- It's annoying isn't it? Hopefully Keli is right and you have already o'd and we can be TWW buddies! Hopefully your BT gives you more of an indication of what is happening.
AFM: Well I'm pretty sure I've o'd. Here's my weekend: I was so sure that I had o'd on Friday, but Friday when I did my o test the second line was bit lighter than the test line, then SAt it was really dark, but I had hardly any EWCM. Sunday it was darker again, and still not much EWCM! We just keep DTD hoping that we've got the egg!!! So I'm counting o from today. I'm actually glad I've gone back to work, so I will be busy, busy, busy and I won't have time to sit and consider every bump, pain, niggle or ginormous bang my body does! Although...I've had shocking reflux for 2 days now, which is much too early to be a PG sign, but it's there none the less. I've probably given myself and ulcer from worrying about o'ing!
I'm also hovering between 'crazy demented psycho' and 'sobbing mess' for the past few days so my hormones must be going nuts! Darn clomid!

I bet DH was loving DTD. From what you said how your weekend planned out, it sounds very hopeful. Lets hope that you were able to catch that egg. I hope that reflux dies down for you.

hey guys another quest.... my cycle is weird got my period on 8th july went for one day stopped for one day then came back for 1/2 day.... I dont get it!!! should this be happeing? and my last cycle went for 38 days!! weird as!! i started cycle 3 of clomid 150 and diaformin today... just wondering if ne1 else had this?
lisi_lou85: Q - is AF now in full swing for you? I am asking this cause you said that you have started cycle 3 of clomid. If AF is now here properly it can be normal to get a couple of on off days before it starts (at least I think it is normal as I sometimes got this). If AF is not here yet, I cant really help as I do not understand the taking Clomid while there is no AF. I know some people do it though. Another Q - this is just for curiosity, have you POAS at all lately?

I got it last month but haven't had it this month?? :-( I agree, good to be busy busy busy and focus on something else... It is hard when you are solely focused on all the little niggles (that's what I did last month)
Shan Shan - How are you going? Have the symptoms settled down yet? I hope it hasn't been too horrid this month
AFM - CD17, haven't had an EWCM this month like I did last month, which is a bit worrying :-( I was cramping at the back end of last week though... I don't chart nor did I get around to doing the OPK so have no idea if I have O'd... And to make it worse I picked up a gastro virus yesterday so DTD has been put on hold so who knows if this month is a write off :-( I am hoping to be 100% tomorrow so we can DTD then just in case... Otherwise all symptoms seem to have gone, really not feeling like this is going to be the month...
AF never came back just went for almost 2 days but the 2nd day very light... weird.. havent done poas yet but maybe do one later tonight... I just feel like crap and i have had a upset stomach for 11 days now :( mostly at night :(:

Hope congrats on the BFP that is such great news. I think you might be right about having an influx of BFP's, well hoping you are anyway. GL with having a stress free pregnancy.
Pumpgirl my cycles were like that my first clomid cycle I had EWCM, my second had none and this cycle I had a little on fri and I mean a little. So it might be just your body changing with the cycle, like you said nothing is normal.
Lisi-Lou everyone's cycle are different, my first cycle of clomid OMG it felt like it wasn't going to end AF was a full seven days (which previously on the pill was 5 days) and was so heavy. My second cycle I started one day, then the next woke up with nothing and started around lunch time, and AF was like that for 5 days my FS got me to start clomid still on CD2 though. And this cycle I had AF for 6 days and wasn't heavy as my first cycle but was still heavy enough. Hope that helps you out a bit, like Pumpgirl said what is normal...
Congrats on having a little girl Tammara, now you will be prepared and have the right clothes ect, it seems at the momant that everything in the shops is either pink or blue, and not much is unisex.
Bec you poor thing sending you big hugs and hoping you are feeling better. I know what you mean about keeping yourself busy, I think that is why I decided to rearrange the house lol. Just a little question if you doin't mind, what is the line on the OPK supposed to look like, I have been doing the tests and on both Fri and Sat when I did the test it had two lines, but the second one wasn't as dark as the first line in was about half of the darkness (if that makes sense), DH loved the idea of spending most of the time in bed on the weekend (sorry TMI) so I am hoping I have o'd over the weekend too.
AFM I have been keeping myself busy changing the house around and doing OPK tests. I think though DH is enjoying me being alot happier than what I have been lately with being sleep deprived, damn you wierd dreams lol. Anyway I think I have o'd on the weekend which I am hoping I did, cause I haven't yet o'd on the clomid and if this cycle doesn't work my next one I will be having FSH injections as well. Better go and have some dinner before DH eats it all on me. Sorry if I have missed anyone.

Hmmm, not too sure if I can help you out there. Have never had that happen before. I've had it happen just before AF arrives but not just that alone. Was AF actually due than? Like epayne said, everyone's cycles are different. I think if you are really concerned about it you should discuss it with your GP/Gyno/OB/FS.:

Liz- just wondering if you kept testing? i know my lines get progressively darker, but I always get two lines in varying darkness. I think that to be sure you ovulated, the 2nd line needs to be as dark or darker than the test line. Glad sorting your house out kept you busy. I love rearranging too!
Pumpgirl- I do always get EWCM, but I must admit this month it was less. That being said I think I get a heap of it (Sorry TMI) before I ovulate, and then it kind of tapers off. I guess we're all different. Sorry I can't be more help.
Kris- I have done that chines predictor thing and it seems quite accurate! I found one on one of the due date calculator sites I used.
Lisi-lou- I hope you managed to work out what was happening with AF. Mine is usually pretty much the same. You might want to get your doc to check that your lining is growing enough, becasue a thin lining can mean a short, light AF, and not as much chance of implantation. I don't mean to worry you, but if this AF is unusal it's worth checking.

AFM: We'll I feel aweful. I've managed to pick up a throat infection and it hurts a lot! on a brighter note, lack of EWCM seems to indicate that I've o'd, so at least I won't been required to DTD tonight! No major signs here. Still a bit of reflux, and my skin is AWEFUL! pimples! I'm 30 years old and I'm getting pimples!! Probably the change in the weather (we actually saw the sun for a few days!).
Anywho, I'm off to bed. Hopefully a good nights sleep will mean I can still go to work tomorrow.
