thanks guys xx my gyno is on holidays and not back til 23rd so im booked in to see him then :)
Thanks Epayne, that's really helpful info on the CM. And yes you are right to quote my own words ;-) I feel for you on the dream front. I am still having strange dreams too, although they have calmed down a little bit - last night I was dreaming about building a snowboard... Must be my inner disappointment about not getting to the snow this year :-( I really hope this is your month so you don't have to go on to FSH injections.
Bec, Oh no for being sick :-( Sounds like you are good for the month though so at least you don't have to worry about that! And yes I know what you mean about PIMPLES, it isn't fair to have wrinkles and pimples on the same face :-( I hate it too!!!
Oh Bec hope you are feeling better soon, nothing is worse then getting sick and TTC. At least you think you have o'd already so you don't need to DTD as often. Yes I am still doing the OPK tests and I haven't had anymore that have two lines, they have only had one. I was going to stop doing them on the weekend.
Pumpgirl, sounds like you have been having some good dreams as well lol. I don't know if I am thinking of babies to much but the last couple of weeks but in my dreams I have had a baby girl.
AFM still doing OPK tests just incase but I am only getting one line again (I had two but one was faint on fri and sat). And yay I actually had a good night sleep last night WOOOHOOO.
Hope everyone is doing good and staying positive as we are all going to be mummies one day (soon hopefully)
Hi Ladies
Congrats to everyone who has gotten BFP's! It gives me hope that one day I will get one too so thanks for letting us know and please keep me updated.
Everyone in the TWW - Good luck trying to keep distracted and I hope we see some more BFP's soon.
Everyone else - Hope waiting for O isn't causing too much stress and just enjoy DTD, lol. DH commented last night that he will be very fit if we have to do too many more cycles.
AFM - well the hot flushes are still happening and the mood swings and abdominal pains have kicked in. Nearly threw a tantrum (the urge to smash the cup on the floor was overwhelming) over someone using my coffee cup the other day and had to leave the room to prevent it. Also isn't helping that everyone at work seems to have nothing else but babies to talk about, getting me a bit down.
Have a quick question - What does O pain feel like? I am pretty sure I have never experienced it and was wondering if it is similar to period pain?
Sorry this is so short (and for the slack persies), work is a bit crazy at the moment and have just jumped on here quickly at the end of my morning tea break. Only 16 hours of work left this week, yay!
Hope everyone elses weeks are going better than mine and I promise to send better persies next time.
:pink-babydust: & :bluedust: & :stickyvibesgirl: & :stickyvibesboy:
Shan
Hope - Are you getting any symptoms as yet?
ShanShan - I hear you about the tantrums lol i have chucked some wobbly's over the clomid period, including one pathetic one i am not so proud of! DH turned the tv off whilst i was watching it! OMG did i spit it! I was very ashambed of my behaviour after that!!
epayne - I have never been able to get a + OPK! I always get two lines as dark as each other, but not actually darker then the control line.
Bec - hope you feel better soon!
AFM - I have been having mad dreams!! Last night i tossed and turned so much i apparently kept DH up ... but then he doesn't remember that i slept walked into the kitchen! Its the weirdest feeling waking up standing at an open fridge, and i don't know how long i was there for, but i managed to turn every light on on my way down there!! I have been so unsettled and stressing about DPO etc, i even at one stage apparently cried out in my sleep and covered my belly telling DH not to hurt baby!! I am giong mad i swear!! I have been so unsettled and omg! The hot flushes last night and today! Totally mad!!
My FF chart says im 5DPO but i think maybe 6 or 7 .. only the blood test will tell if i actually O'd or not! That is tomorrow, but i don't get results until Tues/Wed next week!
Anyway, best get back to pretending im working...in actual fact i am scribbling love hearts and baby pictures on my note pad! lol i need a hobby during this TTC thing! :P
Hey all,
I am back finally & DD is much better, although still a little lethargic & clingy from her gastro/slap cheek viruses she had :S Luckily for DH & I we did not get sick!
Anyway, I won't attempt persies since I have been MIA for soooo long, other than to say Congratulations to Hope! It is great to see people graduating from here. Hopefully we will all follow suit soon!
Not much to report here, just waiting for AF to show, should be here by the weekend. Went to the FS on Monday & he has recommended Superovulation rather than IVF. Said my chances are the same as IVF and I should get the results within 4 rounds (hopefully). He said the key is patience (well I have had 21 mths of learning that....) and they go slow at the start. Just waiting for the information to come in the mail, then have to do police checks and other stuff then we can book into the clinic to go through how the injections work etc....
Anyway, better go check the mail and finish housework :S
RhiChiChi whats superovulation? I've never heard of it.
Crap, I dont know what just happened. I just wrote a big post to everyone and it disappeared. Well, I guess I will try again.
Miss Kris: No nothing yet. The only thing I have is a face full of spots. I feel like a teenager again, although it was never this bad even back than. lol, about the sleep walking and scary also. Poor you with the bad dreams, that is horrible. GL with the BT tomorrow. Hope you caught that egg this cycle.
Rhi: Thanks for the congrats. Still trying to get my head around it but am also very excited. So glad that DD is feeling much better - poor little darling. Um, what is "Superovulaion"? It sounds promising but why the police check!!! Best of luck with it all anyway.
ShanShan: I never used to get O pain either before taking clomid. When I started taking clomid I had abdominal cramps and lower back pain around O. The abdominal pain was worst on one side, depending on what side was releasing the egg I assume. Good on you for walking out of the room instead of smashing your favourite coffee cup. Proud of you. I understand how you would of felt though.
epayne: YAY for the good night sleep
Bec: hope your feeling tip top real soon. Lets hope the lack of EWCM is a great sign. To answer your Q, I go to the OB tomorrow so hopefully will know more than.
A big hello to everyone else.
Hi guys,
Shan- I only started getting o pain when I started clomid. I get quite intense pain like when you first get your period. I find it's not quite as...dull? as period pain. More intense in one spot. No everyone gets it though. My Stepsister has been on clomid for as long as I have and she doesn't get any pain at all.
Hope- I heard you with the pimples!!!! It's driving me crazy and I can't even blame it on bein UTD (well not yet anyway!) Hope it clears up for you soon.
Rhi- I'm glad DD is feeling better. Gastro is aweful, but slap cheek too! Lucky you and DH didn't get it, it's quite painful for adults apparently. I'm interested yto hear what superovulation is too. I might google it!
Liz-I'd say you've already ovulated if the tests had two lines and now have only one. GL with the blood test tomorrow. Can you ask them to mark it urgent. I always as them to, and the BT people usually are happy to if your doc hasn't. You could always tick to box on the form yourself!!
Kris- crazy stuff! I'm facinated by sleep walking, it's so bizzare. I hope things settle down a bit so you can get some sleep you poor thing!
Hi everyone else, hope life is good for you!
AFM: feeling a little better today, managed to get through the day without losing my voice! Now I'm worried this this will have an impact on implantation (if fertilisation happened). Oh the worries! I have all the usual AF signs, which are of course UTD signs too, which is yet another confusing thing about this whole shabang! But I'm feeling ok, and I can cope with a BFN I think. Still got at least 5 days till testing anyway, and I should really wait untill Monday week, but I know I wont!
Just wondering what you ladies think about keeping a record of where we all are with our cycles? I get confused about where everyone is up to!
So like BECNXAVI -3DPO etc? Just thought it might be helpful with posts? I'm happy to coordinate it. What do you guys think?
Bec
Hey all,
TBH I really don't know the ins & outs of it all until I see the nurses at Monash. It isn't IVF but I go to the same clinic.
From what the Prof. briefly told us I inject meds -Purgeon & Pregnyl & they monitor me until they deem the follicle/s are large enough then DH produces a sperm sample. I don't think they wash the sperm or anything, they just inject it straight into my uterus & hope the egg & sperm meet. He told me cycles can get cancelled if there is a chance of triplets, so I guess it is similar to an IUI cycle but probably less invasive? I can't really find any more info on it. Their website is monashbabies & they call it 'Ovulation Induction'.... My appt in not until the 29th July, so a couple more weeks away.
Also, I think the Prof. got it wrong about the police check b/c my gf didn't have to do one and the nurse didn't mention anything on the phone about it. I'll just go to the appt. & be guided by them.
Glad to hear you are feeling better Bec. Wait til Monday for the testing, that way if you are UTD it will come up straight away & nice & dark the line :)
I am happy to do the updating about cycles, so I am currently CD 31 (not sure when I O)
I am back at work tomorrow then out for dinner & movie so I might not get a chance to come back on until the weekend. So if I don't - have a good one :)
Hey All!
I think that is a great idea Bec - I have no idea when or even if I ovulated this month... no signs - boo :-( I am CD 20. I have my BT tomorrow so I hope the FS does give me good news next week. Not positive for this month to be honest, don't feel anything at all and apart from my one psycho moment and some weird dreams I haven't really had many major side effects this month - which is different to last month, wonder if it is even working - there is something wrong when you WANT side effects!!?? Maybe I might need to go up to 50mg although really don't want to!
I am actually much happier this month to be honest, have really not been focusing on things and I actually find it so much more helpful for my sanity, have been pretty busy with gym and setting up a business so it is good to be preoccupied.
Just wondering if any of you guys have started thinking about the next stage... I am meeting with my FS next month and DH and I agreed we would give clomid a total of 6 months and then we need to start an alternative route - I am thinking that IUI is a good idea before going down the IVF path although to be honest I don't know a great deal about it, would be really interested in hearing from you guys??
Hope you all have a great weekend!
That sounds alright Bec! I am 6dpo according to my FF chart.
Im a little bit down in the dumps at the moment cos i haven't been having any side effects lol!
But in saying that, i am also in a wicked mood cos i had a wonderful nights sleep!
Sorry for the no persies, i am sneaking this one in at work with a grumpy boss! lol
Pumpgirl - IUI is a great way to introduce you to ART and is less invasive than IVF. You still have to have some follicle stimulating drugs weather it be clomid or letrozole. They like to make 3 follicles anything over that and they will cancel the cycle unlike IVF where they like lots of follies. You have lots of BT and U/S to track progress of your follies and tell you when to trigger in prep for insemination.
I think the % rates of success for IUI is about 15% success where as IVF is 40%. But I think the % for multiples is higher with IUI.
Big factor for IUI is $$$ much more cost effective that $6700 for IVF + medications etc....
Hi Everyone
Porsche - Nice to see you in here, How is everything going?
Rhi - Glad DD is feeling better and that you and DH managed to avoid getting it. Superovulation sounds exciting. Hope it all goes well for you and you will have to keep us all posted so we know what it is. I hope you don't have to have a police check cause if they are anything like ours they take weeks to clear. Seems like a strange request anyway, unless they are going to start making people get a license to have a baby, lol (altjough not a bad idea in some cases).
Hope - I understand the whole post disappearing, happens quite regularly to me so now I copy my post into word in case it disappears. Looking forward to hearing how your appointment went today.
Miss Kris - DH hasn't been on the end of one of my moods yet, and thinks it is hilarious that I am having mood swings (probably cause they haven't affected him yet). Hopefully no side effects is a good sign and you will be reporting a BFP in the next couple of weeks.
Pumpgirl - Like Miss Kris hopefully no side effects is a good sign. Glad your new business is keeping you busy. What do you specialise in?
Bec - I think keeping a record is a great idea. I am sympathising with yours and hope's pimple outbreak. After a pretty good lead in to AF on that front last time I have broken out big time in the last few days, not very happy about it either. Just another thing I am adding to my list of side effects.
Lisi-Lou - How is everything going with you?
Hi to anyone else I have missed.
AFM- I am now on cd14 (for Bec's record) and have no O symptoms. That is another question I have, Does clomid shorten your cycles or do they stay the same as before? Mild abdo pain but nothing like period pain, although my period pain usually feels like someone is stabbing me and trying to pull my insides out (sorry TMI) so I am sort of hoping that I don't get that type of pain. As for the mood swings they are still hanging in there (I now keep my coffee cup in my office). Will be interesting to see whether DH witnesses my mood swings over the weekend, we are playing golf together on Sunday so he better behave himself or I might swing in the wrong direction.
Only 30mins of work left this week, yay!!!!!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
Shan
Here's this week count so far:
BECNXAVI CD30 (5DPO)
MISS KRIS 11DPO
PUMPGIRL CD21
RHICHICHI CD32
SHANSHAN CD14
UTD this month: Hope & Ahurani!
:pink-babydust: to everyone else!
I'll just add to list as people want to be added. I'm reluctant to add you if you haven't said you want to be, so that's why the current list is a little short. Just let me know!
Bec
Pumpgirl - i agree with porsche IUI is much less expensive, before we did IVF i tried IUI but with no luck unfortunately and i think the medications only cost about $300 - that was the injections and the nasil spray. I didnt pay for any ultrasounds i had and i was having them about every 3 days. Im not sure about increased rate of multiples from what i remember or actually soaked into my brain it was just like a helping hand for the sperm to get right to the eggs but i had soooooo much info overload i have probably got it mixed up.
Good luck with what ever path you chose to go down.
Have a great weekend everyone
If there is no issue with your DH then the FS will probably suggest IUI prior to IVF anyway. Like Porsche said much cheaper than IVF. I think for my 'superovulation' it is btw $600 - $800 through monashbabies. My FS gave us a 1 in 400 chance of falling pg 'naturally' and a 1 in 5 chance with 'superovulation' but also the same odds with IVF - odd.... I will have to ask more questions next time!!! Better write them down. 6 months is long enough on Clomid I reckon anyway..... ( I did 6 mths) Have you had a laparoscopy? (sorry if you have told me this before, I can't remember)
Hey Shan, my cycles shortened on CLomid to around 28/29 days whereas in the past it was up to 44 days I think from memory. Have fun playing golf - good way to whack out some frustration :)
Hi to everyone else, hope you are all well. I think of you all often
Shan, my cycles went from non existant to 35-37 days so I can't really say whether the cycle has gotten shorter or not.
ShanShan - I've never really taken much notice of my "natural cycle" but since being on the clomid my cycles have been around 35 days give or take. Except this cycle I'm now up to CD57 22DPO and really peeved off as I'm waiting for stupid AF to arrive so I can start injections. And before we get excited no I'm not UTD even though that would be great.
Thanks very much everyone for your info on IUI... Not sure if we will be able to go down this path with DH morph issues. I guess I will have to discuss it with the FS next month - probably getting ahead of myself.
Shan - Can't be sure as my cycles were never regular, but last month (my first clomid cycle) I think I o'd on CD13 and had a 31day cycle. No idea what will happen this month as didn't get o symptoms and have no cramping at the end of the month like I did last month. RE: my business, I am setting up a fine food store :-) I will continue to instruct part time.
Question - having bad luck this month, gastro virus last week and now I have three cold sores - any ideas on how to treat them safely? Also, I forgot to go and get my BT yesterday (21 prog test), do you think it will matter if I get it on Monday - that will mean I am CD 23... Opps !!!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
Sunday 18th:bluedust: to everyone
BECNXAVI CD31 (6DPO)
MISS KRIS 9DPO
PUMPGIRL CD22
RHICHICHI CD33
SHANSHAN CD15
PORSCHE CD56 (22DPO)
EPAYNE CD25
:bfp: this month: Hope & Ahurani!
PS I wont keep doing this every day, I'm just adding people as I go!
Pumpgirl: not sure about when to get test, maybe just tell BT place it's CD23 instead of 21 and then FS can make a judgement? You could always rinf FS tomorrow to check.
Kris- Have you tested yet?! I just noticed 12 DPO, nearly at testing time!! GL & FX for you
Liz- Where are you? Everything ok? Haven't heard from you in a while
Porsche- Darn AF! It never does what we want it to do? DO you know if you def Ovulated? My AF doesn't arrive if I don't o (which happened last month). Hopefully it's arrived today and you can begin the next part of your journey!
Rhi- Thanks for the info on IUI. I'm glad you're getting started on a new path. FX that it will work first go!
Hi to everyone else out there! Haven't heard from a few of you in a little while. Lisi_lou how are you going? Claudette? lots of people I've missed, I know.
AFM: I have absolutely NO SIGNS AT ALL! Guess I'm out for this month, I usually have something by now if I'm UTD. Will get a BT on Thursday to make sure, becasue I need to take the blood thinning stuff if I am. My freinds are going through another round of 'I'm pregnant' and I am so incredibly jealous I can hardly stand it! To make matters worse, I spent an afternoon with my husbands best friends wife, who is 37 weeks pregnant and doesn't even want a baby! She was so negative I almost throttled her! It's just not fair sometimes!!!!! Anyway vent over, sorry I sound like such a cow today, I'm just over it all, I think.
Hope yoiu are all well,
Bec
If your DH has morph issues then you most likely will do either ISCI or IVF. The FS would determine which is the best way to go forward based on your results. I would just take the BT at CD 23 & tell the FS you missed it on the 21. - That is just me though... GL
Where abouts do you live and where are you opening your foodstore - sorry love little places like this :)
In relation to your cold sore q: I don't think there is anything over the counter that you can take that would be safe. Maybe a health food shop would have a suggestion that would be safe?
Hey Bec, so sorry that the ttc is getting you down - I know what you mean, all of us do. Jealously is certainly normal. I can't help but stare at anyone who is pg - in particular their pg belly and wish it were me. It's so not fair but I truly believe it will happen for us all, for some reason it is taking us longer - and that will one day be an AH-HA! moment. Might be when they are 21 but it will come! Have you POAS at all or just not bothered - just wondering if you O late and the implantation may have just taken place hence the lack of pg signs? Take care of yourself & don't forget we are all here for you, anytime.
Thinking of you all
Jules
Bec, I'm CD25, I think I have o'd but not sure as I haven't yet on clomid. I know what you mean about having people round you that don't want to be pg and are. My brother got his GF UTD and they are constantly fighting and breaking up AARRRRGGG. Big hugs coming your way and I know we are going to be mumies soon.
Pumpgirl not too sure about the tests, my FS hasn't had me have them, just said that if I'm not UTD then on to the next cycle. Even if you just ring your FS on mon and see what they say. SOrry not any help on that one.
Shan, when I was on the pill my cycle was 28 days, but as soon as I went off they just disappered. As I haven't obviously o'd on clomid yet, I have to take provera to bring on AF so my cycle from day 1 of AF till I get them again is about 48 days. Everyone is different though and it all depends on how you body is at that point in time, by the sounds of previous posts on here nothing is ever the same for eveyone.
AFM I have been a little emotional this week and was very close in doing my top at work on fri, but I could feel myself loosing it and walked away from the situation. I'm CD25 and due to go to the FS on thurs, so will do a POAS test in the morning before we go. DH has actually taken the day off with me so we can do our tax and then spend time together. I am actually feeling quite positive about this months cycle and are having everything crossed for a BFP, just hope that it is for nothing as it would be a great b'day pressie. Well only a short one for me, gotta go and get ready for a dinner with the family.
Sending lots of babydust and FX'd for BFP's
Hey Ladies,
Just a quick one from me to try and help answer some questions.
Pumpgirl, when I had O BT's my DR told me I could get it done between CD21 & CD24 so as far as I know Monday will be fine, I used to forget sometimes too, hope that helps hun!
Sorry I cant remember who said they have coldsores but my Mum gets them and she takes Lyseen (sp?) from the health shop, I would double check but almost possitive this would be safe, GL.
Also cant remember who this was for but someone said they weren't looking forward to upping their dose of Clomid. Both my sister and I have coped much much better on high doeses of Clomid rather than lower one's. Less side effects, way less mood swings and just generally feeling heaps better, I hope this is the case for you if you need to increase it.
Bec, sorry to hear your not feeling the best hun, it trully is a horrible road, please stick with it though, I know you're time is just around the corner.
Sorry I'm not writing to everyone but I have read all your posts and have everything crossed for each and every one of you. Baby dust to all and I'll check in again soon.
Xxoo
Hey Everyone,
Keli - Thx for the info on BT (glad I am not the only person who forgets, clearly not focused enough on things this month) and also for your info on Lyseen, DH was telling me about that today actually, I have a few symptoms that look like I might be deficient. I hate cold sores and it really sux that I can't use cream grrrr!!
Jules - I live in Sydney and our food store will specialise in selling unique and artisan Australian products (no imports). All high end products, am such a foodie so am really excited!! It's been 6 months in the making and am just waiting on the finalisation of a site... Really hope it doesn't fall through (as that has already happened to us and was so disappointed). Am probably crazy in embarking on this business whilst TTC, but I just can't put my life on hold (it may never even happen).
Liz - Sorry to hear you have had an emotional week. Am glad your DH is taking the day off to go to the appointment this week, will be nice to have him there. I am so glad you are feeling positive this month - hopefully that is a good sign and FX you get a BFP this month :-)
Bec - I am with you, I have no signs at all either so I think I am out too :-( It's hard when everyone is announcing their happy news and it is a totally natural emotion to be disappointed for yourself and a little envious! Don't be too hard on yourself hun, your time will come again and all of this will be history - although I know that doesn't help for the here and now! Take care of you xx Also, thanks very much for doing the cycle list (it's been really helpful) - I hope there are a few BFP's coming through soon!!
Hope everyone else has had a good weekend!
AFM - CD22, no side effects, no symptoms - thank god I didn't get my hopes up this month as it certainly aint looking like I will be getting a BFP this month.
Rhi- I haven't POAS yet, thought I'd wait till later in the week. I bought a different brand and they are 5-7days before AF is I'll probably wait untill Wed. I have actually been feeling a bit naeseous today so who knows? Might be the heap of sugar I had on my porriage this morning! Gluten Free Porriage taste like the water left over when you boil rice, so you have to add something!
Liz- Hopefully the FS can give you more info on Thursday. It's nice that DH is going with you, I think it helpes to have someone else to remember what the dr says! GL
Keli- Thanks for the info. Hope you're well and all is going swimmingly.
Pumpgirl- how long are your cycles normally? It might be too early for symptoms. It's a bugger though isn't it? It's be nice to know one way or other!
Thanks for all you works of support again guys. I feel like I am the only one who whinges! You ladies are so strong and brave, I think you're all just great people. :pink-babydust: to you from the bottom of my heart.
Have a great week!
Bec
Hey Bec, I put a little bit of Maple Syrup on my porridge for flavour as it is Low GI, unlike sugar and honey, albeit a little bit more expensive... Also, have you tried Quinoa porridge - very high in protein and it is a superfood (again, pretty expensive).
Thanks pumpgirl. I haven't tried Quinoa, but I'll give it a go. The worst thing about GF is breakfast! I just can't find anything nice that's not full or sugar. Might give mapel syrup a go too. Everything GF is expensive anyway!
YOur shop sounds super interesting! I'd come and visit if you didn;t live miles away. If I'm ever in Sydney I'll look it up!
Bec
Hi Ladies
Ahh Bec GBH to you. I know exactly how you feel. It isn't easy, it sucks and it's just not fair. With everything we have to go through we should be UTD 100 times over. I don't know how long our journey's are but what I do know is that when we do get our BFP. It will be all the more special because we know what we had to do to get there.
Hi Girls,
Well i am actually 9DPO, friday i had my blood test for CD21 and the ***** at the IMVS clinic was so rough! lol sorry!! I asked her to be gentle and she goes, not a problem, then jams the needle in!! i was like OOOOWWWWW!! lol and just glared at her! The worst thing was i was on my own! And i HATE needles lol! But then a friend pointed out i better get used to them lol as there is plenty more when you are actually preg!! :( lol
So, i am tempted to test early! Last night i was getting bad cramps and today i have not pains or cramps, but just an uncomfortable feeling in my belly. Also, my boobs are heavy and hard, like they have rocks in them lol Sorry TMI!! But only my (Another TMI) nipples are sensitive, and they look funny to me lol!!!
Fingers crossed they are all good signs! I have been analysing my FF chart heaps too closely!!
Anyway, sorry for no persies, i haven't had time to read everyones posts, but i will come back soon!!
Ooooohhhhh! that sounds awesome, pity you are in Sydney otherwise I would have come for a look see! Are you going to bother with a website? If so, I'd be interested in having a look at that :) Totally agree with not putting your life on hold - I have put off too much for too long.....
Best of luck - when will you test or does the clinic do that?
Bec - I will be thinking of you & stalking this thread. I hope it is a sign - you never know & you aren't out until AF shows
Hi to everyone else :)
Better get back to work
i will wait and get my results either tomorrow or the next day, to see if i ovulated, then if i did i will preg test!! Im a little worried that i didn't actually ovulate and will just be wasting preg tests etc ... but the temptation is getting the better of me! FX i can hold out to Wednesday! lol! And DW i will be on here yelling if i am lol!
Oh i just wanted to say, and sorry if this offends anyone, but it really put a smile on my face and gave me hope! My cousin and her hubby have been trying for a baby for 5-6 years, Last Year, after enduring many miscarriages and heartache they finally got pregnant via IVF and this one stuck!! She later gave birth to a beautiful little girl named Georgia! Anyway, i got a text from her the other day saying that its a complete surprise and shock, but she is 12wks preg!! Naturally!!!! She didn't even realise until she was about 10wks and they are both in complete shock! I just think its a wonderful story of a well deserving couple finally getting what they want, and then some! And i pray that a story like this will be told about all of us soon! :) It really gives you hope!
I am again sorry if it offended anyone, but yes, as i said, i hope that it all happens to us! lol (the natural preg not the ivf).
Bec - No idea about my cycles as pre clomid they were 28, 31. 39, 36 etc and last month (first clomid cycle) it was 31 days, although I am sure I o'd on CD 13 and I had cramping from about 5DPO, where as this month - nada! So who knows I probably didn't even o. I hope you are feeling better today... Don't be so hard on yourself, everyone handles things differently and there really is no right or wrong way - everyone on here has their moments no doubt do things that we aren't so proud of. It happens... I find the best way I can deal with things is to take back control of other aspects of my life. For exampe whilst TTC, I have been certified as a Fitness professional and did my Les Mills Body Pump training, also setting up this business and remodelling and designing the foyer of our apartment building - these are things that I can control and as a result can get self worth / gratification from and this then counterbalances the lack of control & disapointment I have with trying to fall pg. Don't get me wrong, I still get that feeling when others tell me their pg (when's my turn - life's not fair) or when AF comes - total disappointment, but life has to keep going on for me and if I have these other things to focus on, that means less time to worry about the other stuff... But this isn't going to work for everyone and I am a total Type A personality ;-) But as I said, don't be too hard on yourself - I think your doing well!!
Keli - interesting what you were saying about the SE being easier on a higher dose... very interesting... I would have thought it would have been worse, good to know if I have to go up next month. How are you going hun, hope your PG is going well?
Jules - Yes we will be setting up a website (and doing online sales down the track) so will send it out when we get there. It is a really exciting time, although am crazy nervous this site is going to fall through and I am back to the waiting game which isn't very fun at all!! I just want to get my little shop opened - I have gorgeous visions of me and my big belly working away at the store ;-)
Miss Kris - Good idea to wait till you see the results of the BT, although easier said than done ;-) Sounds like you have a lot of positive symptoms going on - FX hun & good luck - let's hope you are screaming out good news soon!
Liz - Hope your sleeping OK and doing well otherwise!
Shan - How are you going?
Sorry if I missed anyone - hello and hope your all doing well
AFM - had my 21 day prog test today (although two days late - my bad), no symptoms and no SE to speak of
Just informed by my doc that she'd like to try Clomid/Met on me.
I am borderline PCOS but not actually, my testosterone and has always been very high but my other levels are just below typical PCOS. I've always had pretty regular periods. In fact, our first baby was suuuper easy--we got pregnant first month we tried (and I was almost 38). This time we've tried for about 8 months, and as I've just turned 41 and my hormones are borderline challenging, she's suggested we give this a go.
We're super lucky to have our DD, and if this doesn't work we won't be doing IVF or anything any more "invasive" than trying these pills. I am however worried about the mood swings and how "invasive" even that will be on my relationship. Reading this helped me. I am not scared, just know that my hormones already tend me to some trouble about a week before my period anyhow. I will have to talk to him and ask him to help me through this.

Morning Ladies,
Pumpgirl, glad the info could help. Totally agree with not letting TTC run your life, I found this very hard however, good on you. GL for your BT today, any luck with the Lysine?
Bec, ooooooh nauseous hey? That is always a good sign, have you had it in the past when you’ve tested positive?
Porsche, any sign of AF yet? Cant wait for you to get started with IVF.
Miss Kris, GL with your O BT results, fingers crossed it will be your first of 2 positives this month, IYKWIM. Oh that is fantastic news about your cousin, congratulations to her and her DH. They say that having a bub can clear things up, fingers crossed hey!
Rhi, how’s everything going with you hun? When does IVF start?
BumBumG, welcome to this wonderful forum. I hope your stay is short and sweet.
AFM: I firstly just wanted to say….I am hooked on this thread. I can’t stop reading it and putting my 2 cents worth in, I truly hope that I am not offending anyone by doing this. I truly do understand the journey you are all travelling as TTC was a very long journey for us too. I just can’t wait for you all to get that long awaited BFP which I know you will all get. If I am upsetting anyone by continuing to post, please let me know and I will not be offended in the slightest. I try not to give too regular updates on myself, I just update when asked. Please do not feel that any of you have to ask about how I am going though, I have another forum to talk about myself, lol, but am also happy to answer any questions you may have. I just like to hang around and help wherever possible, support where needed and just be another listening ear. Please let me know if this makes anyone uncomfortable and I will stop immediately.
Hi Ladies
BumBumG - Welcome. I hope your stay is short and sweet. I think Bec is on Clomid and Metformin. I'm just on metformin and synarel atm because of IVF.
Keli - I don't mind you posting in here. All advise is welcome. And I like to hear little up dates from you, Mez Moz and Tammara. Yes finally AF arrived. Late yesterday actually but because it was after mid day I don't count that as CD1. So today is CD1. Anyhow I start my injections on Sunday. I'm excited, anxious, nervous, impatient and all of the above hehe. excited is winning the race so far. I'm going to try and just go with the flow because I know it's just a "practice" run so to speak.
It's going to be difficult to do becaue I've waited so long to start and you do kind of pin your hopes on it working first time but I have to be realistic as well.
Oh Porsche, that is SOOOOOOOO exciting. It must be awful being in two minds, trying not to get your hopes up cos as you say it is a practice round however it often works first round. Either way your little bub is just around the corner. GL hun and please keep us posted on how it is going, I want to know when you’re egg collecting, implanting, etc etc, so long as you don’t mind sharing. Hope all the jabbing and stabbing isn’t too painful. Everything crossed for you hun. Thanks for the feedback too.
Keli - I love hearing from you! So don't feel bad about posting here still, plus its always good to use you as an example of see it will happen to us, iykwim?! :)
BumBumG - Welcome!! Hope your stay is short!!
Porshe - GL with the first round! Hopefully things work for you!!
Well, this morning it got the better of me...i tested...it was a BFN which i was totally expecting, i actually poas and then this voice in my head goes "kristina you idiot you know its going to be negative!! its too early! try again in a couple of days" lol so i went to bed without even looking at the test. When i came back for a shower i had a quick peek then binned it... but surprisingly, it didn't upset me too much cos i know it was way too early! lol FX that its a positive on thursday morning! lol
Also, does anyone here chart? I just noticed that yesterday and day before i was having really bad cramps, and then this morning i had a temp drop from 36.8 which it has been the last few days to 36.6. Its still above the cover line, and as i am techincally 10DPO i wonder if its an implantation dip? WTYT?
