Bummer about the sunburn Leis look after it!! It's great to hear the herbs are working wonders for you.
Suzy there are oral preparations you can take to treat thrush..ask your pharmacist whether or not they are suitable during IVF!!
Hi Tam  looks like we could be almost cycle buddies. This is my first FET so I have no idea how long everything takes.
Well I have a scan tomorrow to see how the lining is looking. I have decided to ask my Dr about 1 vs 2 embryos. Our best embryo (day 2 10 cells) is frozen as a single and I am umming and aahhing about whether or not we should thaw it first?? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Love and luck to everyone else. The Pg after TTC froums is in need of some gradutes!!!!
Shez, AF is still visiting, so it actually looks like you'll be getting your BFP when I'm doing my ET!
I think my clinic thaws the best ones first as they go along. Though so far I've had a 50% thaw rate, & we only put 1 back (blasts). Hope yours go ok.
Leis, bummer about the sunburn, I hope you're in a cool spot today.
Leis - Good to see you had fun out in the waves, pity about the sunburn though. Hope you've got some aloe gel for it....
Shez - hope your scan goes well and that theres a nice cushy lining for your embies. Fingers crossed for you ......
Tam - How's things. Heres hoping that AF finishes soon so you can get into ET. Good luck with it all......
Everyone Else - I hope you are all doing well. Sorry but can't remember where you are all up to, specially since this knew thread has started, I can't scroll through the topic review. Not to worry. You all know that you are in my thoughts.
Me - Well i'm still plodding along, slowly. Still bleeding (this is only the 28th continuous day so don't know why i am complaining...LOL). The clinic seem to think it could be AF, but with the heavier bleeding starting on CD23 is just a little too early, plus that would make it only 7DPO. Anyone else had anything like this before???
I have to call them on Friday and it is quite possible that they will do another BT to confirm my BFN Blood test that i got at 7DPO. As far as I know, my progersterone levels were'nt great then either, so i just have to wait an see i guess.
Hope everyone is having a much better week than I am.....
Best of luck to everyone in the TWW – sending lots of :bdust:
Hope everyone else is doing well wherever you may be up to – I’m still trying to learn who everyone is so group good wishes are my safest bet
Mrs Mac – I’m so sorry to hear you are still bleeding after 28 days – I know I am probably showing my ignorance but isn’t there something they can do to help you with that? You seem to be coping remarkably well– I wish I could send you a huge block of chocolate down the wire but I know even that wouldn’t fix things – but if you ever need to I’m more than willing to share a virtual block of Cadbury’s :flower: (that’s my AF comfort food – although I realise yours might not be AF- so confusing/frustrating for you )
Me - Well today I have had my pregnyl trigger shot and I am off to be inseminated tomorrow. This will be the first time this has happened so I have the usual ‘fear of the unknown’ nerves but am feeling relatively positive. Will probably need lots of suggestions for getting through my first assisted TWW so any ideas greatly accepted. To make it worse I am on holidays at the moment – but will be back at work next week which should help to keep my mind off things.
On a different note, in my continuous research on the net I have come across so many people who have said how much puregon and pregnyl shots sting/hurt. I would be interested in any experiences you all have had with your own shots (whether self injecting or not). I ask this because to be absolutely honest I don’t experience any pain and have managed to convince myself I can’t be doing them right. Perhaps it is because I’ve got plenty of belly to inject into. Please don’t get me wrong – I’m not complaining in the slightest - just curious.
Enough rambling from me. Have a great Monday evening everyone.
Hi Jen - Thanks so much for the virtual cadbury's LOL.....A good old block of chockie always does trick. Pity it doesn't last long enough though....
In response to your question re. puregon & pregnyl, i've only had pregnyl once, and on my first clomid cycle to bring on ovulation. I had mine administered by a nurse friend at the local hospital, in the right arm, and it didn't hurt at all. A little tender for a few hours, but all needles do that to me. Don't know about the puregon, but the pregnyl is intramuscular, so i supose as long as it's going in, it should be fine.
Sorry, but i can't remember....are you doing AIH or donor sperm. DH and I are nearly at the stage of artificial insemination and i'd love to know how it works out for you. I'm up in arms about it all at the moment coz we're thinking of moving and i don't know if i would want to do the AIH now or once we've settled in the new place. I supose if i knew it was going to work first go, it might be a little easier to decide, but, as you know, there are no guarantees (Sorry if that put you on a downer....not intentional)
Good luck tomorrow....and fingers crossed the little fellas find your eggie and you get a BFP in a few weeks. I'll stock up on virtuals to share with you over the TTW. LOL. Good luck....
Jen
In response to your question about puregon/pregnyl shots, I found that I didn't have any pain with the puregon, but the pregnyl hurt like hell... I am on my second cycle and now put the pregnyl shots in my thigh as I could barely move with them in my tummy....interestingly, now my second cycle I have very little pain at the site, some redness but not so bad...I also have no pregnancy symptoms this time round from the pregnyl, whereas back in Dec I had the sore boobs etc etc.... does anyone know if that's weird???????? to have no symptoms at all????? I'm guessing that will mean a BFN on saturday when I get my blood preg test done......I'm still hoping!!!!
Jen~ I found the puregon injections were relatively painless, just a little ***** on the way in. The pregnyl was a killer though! I learnt a little trick from another lovely lady, she said to put a 50c piece in the freezer before your trigger then use it to numb the area! Good one huh!
Janee~ Good luck on Saturday! I have my b/t on Friday. It is such a long wait isn't it! Are you going to test before your b/t?
Have a great night I am off to watch Maternity Ward
(glutten for punishment )
Jen, the same on the pain as everyone else. They are two different types of injections, Pregnyl being intramuscular so it hurts.
Janee, I guess as we're at the same clinic I also had Pregnyl support shots on a few of my cycles. I found symptoms different almost every month. I think I just learnt to forget about it & just deal with the BT result. Good luck with dealing with the next few days, hang in there. And best of luck for Saturday.
Skyelar and Tam, thanks for your wishes for Saturday....
Skye, I wish I could test before Saturday, but I have another pregnyl support shot to do tomorrow morning, so that will still be in my system....so alas, no, I have to wait!!! To be honest, I don't think I'm going to be surprised by the results anyway, unfortunately....it's sooooo frustrating...I had a beautiful follicle, beautiful lining, we DTD like rabbits at the right time, and I just don't think it's going to work...unexplained infertility is a right pain in the butt I've decided!
Shan - I have only had strange bleeding like that with my endo, so I am not sure why yours would be giving you such grief, mind you I am not very well versed with the assisted conception stuff just yet just the long term ttc side of things and endo
Leis - I hope the sunburn is settling down
I hope everyone on the tww is coping well and not going slowly insane as I tend to go
I am having an odd month not ttc while I wait for my lap, I agree with you Leis they are good to see the back end of aren't they.
Hi guys well had Dr appt today and FET is set for tomorrow week!! 1/2/6.
DH got a promotion yesterday so I hope it's the satrt of good things to come.
I asked the doc about 1 vs 2 and he said go with 2 so thats what we'll do.
Hope you are all well and the TWWers are coping okay.
Wow you realise how much you rely on the internet when you face a couple of weeks without it!! It's taken Optus 2 weeks to move my connection from my house to my shop & they cut me off in the mean time!! Oh well back on line now.
Leis - Wonderful news about your friend. Go the Herbs!!!
Didge - How lovely to see those 2 bundles!!
Anna - How did the blod test go?
Shan - I am so sorry to hear the last couple of weeks have been rough for you. I know how you feel
As for me, was feeling positive about this month. Had some great signs but alas af showed up yesterday. Dam it, but it is really light and almost gone already (a day and a half - unheard of!!) and not very painful at all (very strange - but i'll take it!!!). So I think one more month and then the chookies might be taking a break for awhile.
Hi Tam, specialist has been ready to send us to IVF for sometime. I am just not ready for the disapointment of that not working.......yet. I am not being negative, I have just learnt from ttc for so long to prepare myself for all emotions iykwim. So when I am ready, we'll head down that path.
