Hi Kelli,
Thank you so much for your reply.
I will definately let everyone know when i find things out! i wish no one had to go through this- Its horrible, i get so down in the dumps Daily about it, & it especially pains me when i hear my hubby saying things like, "i cant wait to have a bubs" that i cannot give him as quick as id love to.
1stly me & hubby were unprotected for approx 2yrs, & i was hoping.. then i knew there was a problem, so i started seeing a fertility specialist, who did the Tube test to make sure they were not blocked-they werent, she does blood tests on me each time i see her to make sure all is in order, & my testosterone level was high last time so she prescribed me on Diane35 to lower. 2months ago i started Clomid, i just finisged my 2nd batch so im in the Zone time now.
I am overweight, i have tried to loose but its sooooo hard esp with PCOS, i am Diabex now which is stronger than Metformin, (ive been told)
Can i ask what does Your naturapath do? i have heard of them, & am thinking maybe we should look into it.. How do i find one around my area?
Also how long have you been trying? what have you used etc?
i look forward to hearing from you.
All the best!

Hi again Jess85
Hey Jess85,
I know it is just awful isn?t it? You would never wish this upon anyone, and unfortunately no-one understands except the people going through it. My friends just keep telling me to relax, cos it always happens when you're not trying. How easy to say, yet not so easy to do. How do I not try when I have to take drugs to ovulate? Ridiculous I know :wall:
I'm sure hubby is ok with it, he just wants a bub as much as you do and that's great. Much better than being unsupportive and not paying any attention to what is going on with you. But I totally get what you?re saying, you just wish you could give him a bub now.
So by the sounds of what you're saying, you're tubes are not blocked and you're ovulating every month, is that right? That's fantastic, hopefully it won?t be long now. When can you start testing for this month?
It can?t be fun trying to loose weight at the same time you poor thing, :juggling: especially when there is a medical condition as to why the weigh is there in the first place. Has your fertility specialist or GP given any assistance as to how you could loose some? I know it?s different for everybody.
What?s Diabex? Sorry never heard of it before.
Hubby and I have been TTC for 2 years and 8 months so far. I am 25 and he is 33. Firstly we just stopped using protection, then after 12 months I found out I have polycystic ovaries. So I went to see a Naturopath (in Warrandyte, Melb) for 10 months. She helped thicken my lining of my uterus and got me into a regular cycle (prior to seeing her I would get 1-2 periods a year). Turns out she was never able to get me to ovulate though. So I have been seeing a fertility specialist for 4-5 months now and am on my 3rd round of clomid at the moment. So fingers crossed
If you?re interested in a Naturopath maybe Google to see if anyway has any recommendations in your area. I was referred to mine by my GP, which is not common practice though as GP?s often think Naturopaths are a bit airy fairy.
Hope you had a nice weekend.
Look forward to chatting again soon.

Reply to Mandii
Hi Mandii
I can believe you have been on it for 9 months and not ovulated and her has just now decided to take you off. It can be s frustrating, you trust that the professionals know what they are doing, but sometimes you just need to trust your gut. It might sound strange but have you thought about seeing a female obs? If it?s an option. I feel that they are more compassionate than males. Just a thought. I do think that you need to go to someone new though, obviously your current obs isn?t doing much to help you out. And every time a month goes by, the more depressed you get. I totally understand.
Good luck, let us know how you go.

Hi Keli,
It was very nice to read your reply, Thank you.
Funny you say that, i was talking to a friend last night who said the exact samething "dont stress, it will come when your not trying" but as you said How can we not try if we are taking Clomid to fall? anyways i guess the people who are not going through this dont know, & its not their fault, they are blessed with a healthy system.
Another thing which is most annoying, is when people say "you are so young you have heaps of time" i have a friend who has same problem has been trying for 11yrs she is now 30.. & they do say the younger you are the more chance of success.
I found out at 18 i had PCOS. My periods are very regular, exactly 28-30 days a month, the last time i seen my specialist my blood test result showed i was ovulating nicely.
& at that consultation she prescribed me Diabex, which before that i was taking Metformin, but i was still getting side affects, she explained that this is new, stronger than Metformin but less side affects, i take 2x 500mg a day.
Have you had hubby tested? is he very supportive?
we are in the Zone now, thoough isnt a very short time frame.. i know specialist do say, to miss 2 days, but i prefer to try more, every 2nd day.
i dont know if this is true, but i have heard a small pillow under your bum will help, & 20mins legs up afterwards. & also have heard a light back massage on the bottom of your back to help lessen the tenseness. you would prob already know this all, but if it helps, & if you have any ideas for me.
i will def look into Naturepaths..
Keep strong!
Jess.

Hey Guys,
Jess you asked what your partner could be doing to help. As soon as we went to a specialist they suggested straioght away that my dh go onto Menevit, we did so straight away got him tested again and this helped him dramatically. Even if DH doesnt have a problem they say this always benefits... :)
Ok so i'm 5 weeks now, been a little sick and so so tired the past week i have booked into our gp to start all the appointments also throught the clinic on Nov 13th we have our 1st scan, what they call a viability scan. I had my 2nd bloods done last Friday and they went from 280 up to 632 in 3 days so i was happy with that they said that was fantastic.
GOod luck everyone, and i pray that everyone of you gets the xmas pressie ( Bubby) That you wish for .

im so glad everything is going well for you frustrated :) i have my appointment next week so i will be starting my needles then i would imagin. I have had bit of a melt down the last few days so i have not been here to comment hopefully i will snap out of it soon though. I think the thing that started it was my realisation that next month i would have become a mum - in a perfect world that is.
Hubby is home tomorrow night i hope so i get to have big hugs then, cant wait.
Take care everyone

To Jess agian
Hi again Jess,
That?s nice that you have such a positive outlook on people that just ?don?t understand?, sometimes I just want to slap them :bump:, ha ha, just kidding.
Yes my gyno is always saying to me ?but you are so young? and I always respond with but I?ve been trying for 2 & ? years and my husband is 33 (nearly 34). She just says she doesn?t care how old he is though because it?s irrelevant to her. Unfortunately it is totally relevant to us. I don?t want to be 30 and be a first time mum and hubby doesn?t want to be 40 and be a first time dad. That however is out of our control, what will be, will be. And like you said, just because we are young now doesn?t mean we will be young when we fall.
Wow you were young when you found out about PCOS, I was 24 when I found out.
Yeah Hubby was tested about 12 months ago and whilst his doctor and my gyno said he was fine, the naturopath didn?t seem to think so, that is why he was on Zinc and tribulous earlier this year. Very hard to figure out what is going on when you don?t know who to believe isn?t it. Yes he is very supportive thankfully.
My Gyno told me to try every second day for a 10 day period between days 10-20, but this month we have decided to wait until I get a positive result with the ovulation kit and then do it that night and the next. See what I mean about conflicting information tho?
I have heard of the legs up in the air, but haven?t heard of the bum under the pillow or the massage, will have to give them a try this time round.
Hope you are will and this is not getting you down too much, stay positive.
Baby dust :bluedust: to all for a fabulous Christmas Present. :happyforyou:
