Yes def take it at night Brissy girl. You sleep right through all the sight effect except i still felt all the hot flushes.. Good luck i hope this is your answer.
Well i go for scan tomorrow and will find out if i'm all ready to go in for collection. I'm so ready, i cant wait to stop the tablets, sprays and injections its weird it feels so much a daily routine now, but so cant wait for it to be over...
-
Thanks
Thanks for your help. I've started on the clomid, and have followed the advice of taking it at night. So far so good, with no side effects. Fingers crossed! :)
All the best to everyone else on this forum.
-
Hi Ladies, hope everyone had a good weekend :) i had a nice get away with hubby but it was a looooooooong 4 hour drive home. Have my Dr appointment tomorrow morning so who knows i may be in hospital by the end of the week having the surgery - i hope it is that soon anyway :)
Im off to put the washing on and go to bed night
-
Good luck today Tammara, let us know how you go.
Well i have been in for 2 scans so far and myh folllicles are still a little to small, going for another one in 2 days and hoping that they are right by then, then can go into hospita;l for collection on Friday. Not feeling to bad at the moment, really tired / exhausted alot of the time, but i think alot of it is menatally just draining.
Hopefully will all be over soon, and i pray everyday that this works for us 1st time, apart from the mental and emotional side of it, Not sure if we will be able to do it cost wise straight away again...
Hope everyone is well :)
-
Dr went good, i am having the surgery just need the hospital to call me with a date. Could be anytime in the next month looking forward to the next step but not looking forward to the anisthetic :( Dr said with the drilling it is 66% more chance i will ovulate and he also said the drilling stays good for about 1 year. Ummm i cant think what else he said but feel free to ask anything.
Hope you go for your scan and get some good ones :) have the put your dosage up at all yet?
-
Yay, At least you have something to look forward to, lets hope its soon :) And hopefully the drilling will be your answer.
So they started me on 112.10 with the injections, lsat Friday when i had 1st scan they upped it to 150. I think they are hesitant to put it up more as they are growing and def dont want to over stimulate. Eary scans are just annoying more than anything my apps have had to be before work so 7am. Hopefully tomorrow is the last one.
-
Thats great they are growing :) mine stayed at 4 mm i think thats why they put mine up so much but it didnt help. Even though it is slow at least it is working :) who knows youo might have a massage growing spurt over night
-
Ok so scan went ok, i have a few that are 21-22mm and couple that are 18.1mm the rest are 13-14. Waiting for a phone call from them to tell me if they will do it Friday hoping that the ones that are 14 will grow to 18ish, as she said they grow like 2mm per day, or whether they will hold it off till Monday so that gives all the other a chance to grow. waiting waiting.....:crossfingers:
-
FANTASTIC NEWS!!! hope the little ones grow a bit for you :) good luck

Back again
Hi all,
So it?s been a while since I have posted now. Was a little upset after last months results and didn?t want to talk/think about it. Clearly no luck. Had a pregnancy test last month, came up negative and also showed that I didn?t ovulate. Which is strange because my first month on Clomid I was on 50mg and I ovulated, then the next I didn?t. So I went back to see gyno and she put me on 75mg and I have to get a blood test on Sat to see if I ovulated this time. Fingers crossed.
Hope everyone else is doing well.
Keli

Great news Frustrated, I'm so happy for you.
This step that you are at, is it IVF? Or is it something else?
-
Where have you all gone?
What's happened to this sight? Where is everyone?
Ok so I'll tell you all about me whilst I wait for someone else to get on line.
I am now on day 25, I had a blood test on day 21 and it is confirmed that I ovulated  very excited. I'm pretty sure I know when I ovulated and we DTD the night before, so fingers crossed
Can anyone tell me if this is corrrect? I did a ovulation test on Tues night (2 infact) both showed positive signs of LH rise, the box said to DTD within 24-36 hours of a positive result, so we did that night. Is that correct? Or should it have been with in the period of 24-36 hours after? A little confussed.
Hope everyone else is well.
Hope this silence means that everyone is off busy DTD and making babies
Till next time,
Keli Xxoo

it does tend to get a bit quiet sometime. Im not realy sure about the timing and ovualtion kits but i do know the sperm can stay active for up to five days so as long as you dtd within five days before ovualtion you are within the window - hope that helps.
I seen the surgeon and i am going to have the surgery i just need to get the date from the hospital ohhh bugger i just remembered i was meant to get a blood test :( oops i better get it done today.
-
Thanks for your help Tammara, think that should help.
What surgury are you off to get? Is it the laproscopy? To get your tubes cleared?
-
its ovarian drilling or golf balling - it is done laparoscopic and they basicly drill little holes in my ovarys to help ovulation and im booked in this monday
-
Hi girls - thought I would duck in and see how everyone is going and to wish Tammara good luck with the op and Frustrated fingers crossed for a collection - those sizes sound great.
Keli - I was always told by my FS the day you get a positive BD that night and next and I always threw in another night for good measure. Fingers crossed for you.
-
Hey hope everyone is well,
Yes keli i'm doin ivf :) After a long while on chlomid this is what we had next.
Ok so i had egg collection on Monday they collected 12 follicles, out of the 12 they injected 10 of them, and 7 survived over night. i call up each day ( we are now onto day 3 ) Just to check on how the kids are growing, hehe.. 6 are exactly where they are meant to be and have separated into 8 cells and 1 is a ittle behind on 6 cells. The nurses in the lab said they are going great. My mum is a little jealous and rekons that she should be babysittind them not some strangers hehe.. I go back in Sat for them to pick the best one and put it back in and then will freeze the rest. So fingers crossed for me. I then have blood test done on the 20th to find out if it has worked.
I have been in so much pain since the surgery, really bad cramps, i could barely move for 2 days and was in a daze for the 1st 2 days, so drugged up, mostly slept. DH has been amazing taken time off work to look after me, he doesnt let me leave the lounge, I feel alot better today but as i had to start the gel ( To make the lining thicker) yesterday plus all the panedine forte i have taken i am not all blocked up, yes cant go to the loo, so am now in pain from that. The nurse gave me some stuff that i have to take tonight to help me out.
We just keep telling ourself that this going to work which wil make it well worth it.
I hope this makes sence to anyone reading it, im still having to take panedine forte so im not entirely with it :)
Good luck with the drilling 2 :)
Hope someone has some good news for us soon...

taking clomid - help!!!
hi i am just new here :) so i have been ttc for 1 year now i have low porgesterone and my gyn sent me for blood tests. So on day 14 my prog level was 24 and day 21 it was 15 he said it should be around 40 for ovulation (on day 14). I went for a blood test on day 21 before starting clomid it was 33. So after taking clomid I have been for a blood test on monday day 21 and got my results on wednesday and he said prog was 120!!! So either i am pregnant or had a very good ovulation and about to get period. Any way last night i wiped and there was a few spots of pale pink blood only once and havent had anything since implantation bleeding?. My period is due on mon/tues that is a 27/28 day cycle. I just wondered what anyone else has experienced? I have really sore boobs and nipples i think they look swollen! and i have been really cranky and irritable and very tired. Sorry for the long post any comments similar experiences would be appreciated :)

7 days and counting
Hey Guys,
Any news on anyone... ???
So i went in for my transfer on Sat all went well, hurt a bit as my bladder wasnt full enough. But went in and thats all that matters. They ended up being able to freeze 4 of my embies which is apparently good :)
Now is the hard part, waiting another 7 days for my blood test to see if it was successful.
I have been told not to be to hopeful as it was our first attempt, they say that it may take a bit to get the body used to all the drugs for it to work. You would think for the amount of money that they could be a little more reassuring..
Since the transfer i had light cramping yesterday for a few hours, and today a few little nigglings pains in my lower belly. My nurse told me that i would prob get cramps as if my period is coming and said this even if it works is very common. Was lso told that there would prob be no preg symptoms at all before the bloods. Apart from the cramping, i have had sore nipples but that could very well be from all the drugs that have been thru my body....
This waiting is killing me each day seems to do for hours, i took the entire week off work to relax now im relaxng but watching the clock for each day to pass..
I cant even contemplate the fact that this may not work, DH is already so excited at the thought that there could be a baby in there now.. we are both just trying to be very positive.
7 days and counting......x
-
I have my fingers crossed so hard for you and hubby :)
I had my ovarian drilling yesterday and im surprised how good i am feeling. Ive not had the need for any pain meds not even panadole which im happy about. I have had a tiny crampy feeling but thats it. Have an appointment with FS November 5 to see how everything went and when to start on the injections again.
Hope everyone is doing fine, take care
-
Oh Tammara i pray that this is the answer for you. :) GOod luck 5th Nov..HOpefully they can start you again straight away.
well another day down for me 6 sleeps to go... This is so hard. I pray everyday

new to this
Hi everyone
I just came onto this site tonight to research Clomid as I have been prescribed it today. My story is very similar to many on this site and it was reassuring to know I'm not the only one. After reading your threads I am desperate to find out if you are pregnant and look forward to reading your next threads.Good luck everyone.
Love Claudette

hi everyone..so i got my period on monday:( i really hoped i was pregnant but started my 2nd round of clomid today so fingers crossed. I dont know what happened the clomid made me very fertile if my progesterone levels were 120 and we done everything right and i knew when i ovulated so i was a bit confused but the symptoms i had was probably an effect from the meds and i dont know why i spotted days before i got my period? oh well if its meant to be it will happen just hope it happens this month :) good luck to everyone hope someone has a success story to share soon...baby dust!!
-
Aw Bella its horrible isnt it going throught the month hoping so much that it worked then that dreaded day when you get your period. I hope and pray for you that this is your chlomid is your answer, afte months of me and dh trying, we are now onto the ivf..
I'm onto day 9 i go for my blood test tomorrow to find out if the ivf has worked. I;m so so so scared. This last 2weeks has been the worst the waiting has been killing me.
I had been nauseas, really sore boobs and very tired but these are also sight effects from all the drugs that are in my body.I also feel like i'm getting my periods, but the nurses said that i would get the pains like im getting a really heavy period.
I'm so a nervous wreck i am going to be absolutly devo'd if it comes back neg. i go for bloods in the morning and will find out in the afternoon.
I pray every second that im awake and asleep that this has worked for us..
-
Oh Frustrated I am so excited for you both (hopefully all 3 of you). Everything is crossed that is works for you first time rounds  the waiting game is no fun at all.
Please let us know how you go.
-
Update
Hi Bella, sorry to hear your period arrived, it's no fun at all is it. First you have to deal with no baby this month then you get to go threw the horrendous pain of a period.
You said you has some symptoms, what were they? Yeah often the side effects of Chlomid mimic the symptoms of being pregnant, totally confusing isn't it.
Hey Tamara, how's everything going with you? When do you get to start your next cycle? Have you got any results from the drilling? Did they say that the tubes were blocked previously? Hope it is all going well for you.
Myself, Got my wrecked period last Wednesday, so needless to say had a pretty lousy end to the week. Is it just me or does anyone else manage to drown there "not pregnant" sorrows with alcohol? Works a treat I must say.
Anyway, so I am back on Chlomid again now, onto day 3 today. Really really hoping this is our month, 2 and a 1/2 years and still trying, not sure how much more I can take. Some day's a just a little too much for me.
Frustrated, still got my fingers crossed for you (from 10 minutes ago). Would be great to have a new success story on here.
Hope everyone is well and not letting it get them down too much.
Lots and lots of Baby Dust to all :D
-
Hey guys.
How is everyone..
Ok finally i have some fantastic news.. I AM PREGNANT.. OMG i cant believe it. Had bloods done yesterday and they came back great they want levels to be any where from 80 and higher and mine were 280. I am still in so much shock. Still so early though 4 weeks 1 day today, so still very scarey.I thought for sure i must be, real bad back pain, sore boobs and nauseus the past 3 days.
I cant believe this has worked for us 1st ivf round, me and dh were in shock and tears all day after the phone call.WE cant believe this has finally happened for us, all the hard work (IVF) has been well worth it.
Sorry guys i hope this doesnt get any of you down just wanted to share with everyone as you all have been fantastic, this sight has helped me so so much.
I pray for each and everyone one of you that it is your time soon. Anyone having real trouble or is over chlomid really consider ivf this has changed our life forever. Such a miracle..
-
Oh Congrates
Oh Frustrated, I am so happy for you. I can't believe it happened first round, that is just fantastic
Congrates to both you and dh, I'm sure you must be extatic. I can only imaging.
Please keep us updated with how it's all going.
And once again, that is fantastic news. All our fingers crossed must have really helped. I did say that we needed some good news on this sight.

Hi Everyone!
Hi Ladies,
im new to this all, ive had problems concieving,2yrs, give or take, .. but previous to that it was just unprotected, no counting days of when etc.. Am on my 2nd cycle of Clomid, im 25, married for 1 yr, & yes i sympathise with people who always hear the same thing, "when are you going to have 1?" & the worst of all is my friends who say "gosh a guy can look at me an im pregs" not very sympathetic knowing my condition. Which is PCOS have been seeing my specialist for roughly a yr..
Im glad i can read everyones stories & i can really relate.
I wish all you ladies the best of luck, this is not a pretty thing to go through.
Take care
-
OMG OMG OMG CONGRATS!!!!!! i hope you have a smooth and enjoyable 9 months :) personaly it gives me hopes that your pregnant it doesnt get me down at all :) as for me the surgery went ok but unfortunately my wound got infected so its a bit sore at the moment but healing up now. The drilling itselt was pretty pain free i just had cramps like bad period pain for 4-5 days after it. I have my FS appointment on November5 to start my injections again so im hoping for a nice chrissy present.
And Keli i know what you mean about alcahol it did seem to help for a couple of times when i was on the injections and nothing was happening i did wipe myself out a couple of times - probably not a good thing but cant change that now.
hope everyone is doing well take good care of yourself frustrated :)
-
Thanks so much Tammara, i have been hanging to hear from you :) So glad your surgery went well, and i pray that u get that xmas present that you deserve.
THanks for being so supportive its helped me through the very tough times. .. Now i just pray that everything goes well through out. It so exciting but so nerve racking also..
I will feel alot better after my 2nd blood test on Friday to see how the levels are rising...
In the mean time have to try hold back this nausea and back pain.
I pray for all of you..

Reply to Mandii
Hey Mandii,
Haven't heard of that Dr, sorry.
Just wondering though, wy can't you concieve? (Strange question, but I hope you know what I mean). I'm just wonderin why your obs left you on Clomid for 9 months. Have they talked to you abuot other options? It clearly isn't working for you.
Hope you're well,
Keli :D

Hi ladies,
i was just wondering if anyone can help me with something..
who knows what foods i should be avoiding? or eating more of? to help, id rather steer clear of eat more of things i should be in order to help, if it does not help, atleast ill be doing all i can to help the process, & i can keep a clear conscious that im doing all i can.
Also my hubby has been taking Zinc, Vitamin E & C as the pharmacist has suggested it helps with his speeding up his sperm, im not sure whether you gals are aware of it, if not i hope it helps.
Does anyone know any other hints that my hubby should or should not be doing? he does not smoke & i have limited his drinking to very little.
I hope to hear from someone soon, as it will help me deal.
thank you.
Xx

Reply to Jess85
Hi Jess85,
Welcome to the sight , hope you find it as helpful as I have.
The only foods I know you should be avoiding are things like soft cheeses, deli meats and caffine, but that for when you're pregnant. Not sure if there's anything you can eat to assist with concieving. If you find any out please let us all know.
As for the Zinc, my hubby was on it for about 6 months. We were both seeing a Naturopath. Is is supposed to help the motility of sperm as zinc is their power sorce, so you're definately on the right track there.
How long have you been TCT?
It's not a fun road is it?
Hope you are well, have a good weekend.
Chat soon

Hey Keli
I have PCOS and my silly obs just decided to act on it with clomid at the highest dose. I didnt ovulate so he has now decided to refer me to his partner and I found my obs now doing nothing so got a bit worried about this new one. We have been trying naturally for two years all up and nothing. I had blood test every month for last nine months while on clomid andf nothing no ovulation so its all very crazy. I just want it to happen damn it I so so sick of the waiting game.
