Bec - Glad to hear you are doing well and the polyp has been removed sucessfully!
Keli - Praying for a BFP for you. I didn't realise it had been three years that you have been ttc. If you do go down the IVF path, will be thinking of you.
Tammara - Awesome news! Sending sticky vibes for Monday
All those comments that people think are helpful are so not! My grandmother told me the other day to stop worrying about having a baby, when the baby wants to come it will come.... *rolls eyes*
Going for a blood test today to check that I am still Oing on Clomid. I think I am since I had those awful pains on CD 14.... DH is booked in for his sperm to be tested on the 23rd Feb - earliest appt he could get. Hopefully we are pg by then, but might send him off to get tested anyway ;)
Am reading a couple of books about 'natural conception'. Am thinking of trying Homeopathy - anyone tried it? (I have done Naturopathy & Chinese Medicine)
Hi Ladies
Wow - I duck out of this thread for a few days and so much has happened! Good to read up on how everyone is travelling. Best wishes to you all.
20094me - the rash I have on my belly button is starting to go down now that I'm putting hydrocortisone cream on it. On the advice of my FS I got the cream from the chemist. It's taking a while to go down and is still very itchy and red, but it's getting better. Try some of this cream twice a day for a few days and see if that makes a difference. It's so weird though - the rash came up a few days after the adhesive was removed.
AFM I'm in the 2WW and shuold no by Monday if AF is coming. Argh the wait is torture!
Mez - Best of luck hun - hope that nasty unwanted visitor gets the hint & stays away!
fingers crossed for you mez :)
Hi girls,
Keli, it's a fair call to go IVF if you've had a good go with everything else. Hopefully it's that darn tube that's caused the probs, and you'll be UTD with some help before you know it! 3 years is a long wait. We TTC for 2 years for DS (now 3) and we're coming up for 2 years for #2. I'm just glad your FS is on the ball with recognising your emotions. My FS probably wouldn't recognise me if I was 10ft tall and wearing pink PJ's, let alone be aware of my feelings
Tammara: So exciting. GL for Monday!
Rhi: hope the BT went well and you o'd when you thought. I've done homeopathy, and too be honest, I found it very expensive and found it didn't do much for me. I've found acupuncture to be more worth while in my case. Chinese medicine and homeopathy are similar, they both have suppliments that are supposed to kickstart your body to fix itself. (they are a bit different, becasue they do it in different ways, but I can't remember exactly) That's only my opinion though, and maybe iut was just the person I was seeing?
Mez: I'm glad the resh is improving, hopefully the cream will work and you'll be unitchy very soon! GL on Monday!
AFM: Still absolutely exhausted from the General Anaesthetic on Wednesday! Did anyone else find that? All good though, bleeding stopped completely (TMI sorry!) I wasn't expecting that! Still sore though. Am still waiting to find out from FS whether we can TTC this month or not. Don't want to do any more damage now I'm all fixed up! Might give hima call tomorrow if he doesn't ring me.
Anywho, Have a great weekend girls!:)
Bec
Bec - Thanks for the information re: Homeopathy. I enjoyed acupuncture, just not taking the tea made from the herbs.... I might just go back to the acupuncture.
I am in the tww & it is already dricing me crazy. I would have expected to have sore bb's now if AF was on her way or a sore back (did have for one day, but it is ok atm), so I don't know what is going on with my body - I can't tune in to it.
Anyway, hope you are all enjyoing your weekend :)
Hi Ladies
I'm joining you guys in the TWW now. I'm 1DPO and wating for FF to confirm it.
Really really hoping that the tube flush worked and sperm meets egg lol. I have my appointment with QFG on Wednesday as well so we'll see how that goes too.
HOw did it all go Tammara?? How u feeling??
im getting the egg transfer tomorrow. got a bit upset yesterday because i just assumed all 9 fertilised eggs would stay good and if they put one embrio in me they would freeze the other 8 but the nurse told me that its very rare that they all stay viable so i lost a bit of hope about that. im just very anxious i just wish i knew how many will stay good for me.
i think im just having a poor me cos hubby is working away and everyone gets their valentine but me lol just being a sook
Fingers crossed for you Porsche!
Best of luck for tomorrow Tammara
Good luck tomorrow tammara! I'm  for you! My girlfriend just told me her 39 year old sister just fell on her first round of IVF. Stay positive - all you need is one egg and one sperm for success and BOOM! 9 months later you'll be holding your bubba. I read recently that women who undertake a relaxation program (meditation / yoga etc) when doing IVF have a greater success rate, so remember to take time out for yourself.
My fingers are crossed for you too porsche - lets hope those spermies slid through your tubes and right up to your lady egg in waiting.
RiChiChi - has AF arrived? She arrived for me this morning - perfect timing for Valentines day! So my poor DH had to put up with a crabby wife instead of a loving adoring wife today. As for homeopathy - I tried it (along with naturopathy, acupuncture, kinesiology, flower essecences and reiki!) and nothing worked. My FS said to avoid all herbs while on clomid as they can interact, so I reckon acupuncture is your best bet if you want to try something additional. Besides, the Chinese have been doing acupuncture for thousands of years, so it has to be reasonably good to have been around for so long.
becnxavi - getting knocked out can certainly knock you around. I was feeling shabby for quite a few days after my lap. Take it easy....
Keli - I'm also back on clomid now for a few more months and if no luck, off to the IVF clinic. I'm so dreading taking clomid, but I guess it's gotta be done. Do you go a bit 'mental'??? I certainly do!
Re preseed - I know on the belly belly forums there are lots of raving reviews on preseed, but my FS said avoid all lubes, even the so called 'conception friendly' lubes. So unless it's absolutely necessary, we try to avoid using it. But damn clomid doesn't help things sometimes!I guess my FS view is that there is nothing like a natural environment to help conception.
AFM - I start teaching prenatal yoga at the studio I work at next week. I'm expecting that working with pregnant women will bring up some issues for me, but at the end of the day I really do want to help other women to experience the benefits of yoga during this sacred time in their lives. I reckon down the track I'll create some sort of yoga workshop for women TTC - I'm very familiar with the issue!
Take care ladies and enjoy your week. Wishing you all the best wherever you are on your TTC journey.
becnxavi - I have been much more tired than normal since the general anaesthetic too (but not sure if it that or just general stress - we are renovating our house and that combined with the fertility thing and work is wearing me down).
I have been seeing a naturopath that is really great but I am beginning to wonder if it is worth all of the expense and hassle. The herbs & supplements I am on are really expensive and I had been wondering if it would be better to stop them and go to accupuncture so all of your comments are interesting (however up until the laparoscopy I had never felt more healthy and alert)! BTW - you definitely shouldn't do full on naturopath drugs and clomid - but your naturopath would know what you can and can't have.
Mez Moz - sorry to hear AF came but at least it did. I have real trouble with getting AF to come, which is never good for ov. So at least by you getting your AF you may be right to go again in say 10-20 days?! :)
Tammara - good luck!!
Thanks for all the comments re: alternative therapies & Clomid. I would certainly only go to an alternative therapist that I have used in the past. I have only used them when ttc anyway, so they would know my history.
Mez - Sorry to hear AF showed & on Valentines Day. AF for me isn't due til Saturday coming, so if she aint there then, I'll test Sunday with FMU. I hope you can find peace when working with the preg mums in yoga. It will certainly be tough :(
2009 - How long have you been seeing the Naturopath? It did take me a little while to conceive (DD)whilst in the care of one, but if you aren't feeling any better about ttc, then I would probably stop. My Naturopath worked not just on my ovaries etc... but also my emotional well-being. Best of luck with whatever you decide to do.
thanks for all your good luck ladies, i am home from the transfer and it was pretty easy really, i didnt have any pain just a little discomfort when he put the thing in - (looks like a beak lol dont remember the name)
so now i plan on just lazing around watching tv listening to the rain.
Take care everyone hope you are all doing great
Oh Good luck Tammara now the 10 day wait, That was so hard for me. time seemed to stop. Relax !!
AS one of the other ladies said it only takes one good one, i only ended up with 5 viable ones but worked 1st go, so fingers crossed same happens for you.. ;)
Best of luck.,.
Hi Tammara,
So glad everything went well & it was fairly easy. Glad to hear you are getting some r & R. I hope it only takes the one cycle (it did for my gf, who was ttc for 4 yrs prior to IVF!). Frustrated mentioned you have to wait 10 days - is that to confirm your are pg?!
yeah i have my blood test thursday 25th then find out friday afternoon at the latest, much better than monday as i expected :)
and deffinately relaxing in front of the computer and tv - watching the biggest looser while eating ice cream lol oops
