Hey Keli
He usually works away 10 days home 2 so there is very little chance of it just happening. The injections i may go back to are for IUI - intra uterine insemination. I was on them before i had the ovarian drilling but my folicles were just not growing so they said to do the drilling and see what happens.
Im not sure about ovulation pains because ive never noticed any, but a couple of weeks ago i was getting period type pain and it was pretty noticable - not like doubled over pain but enough to take panadol.

Hi ladies
re ovulation pain, I never really had ovulation pain before I went on clomid, but I certainly did on clomid! If ovulation is the best time to DTD, I don't know how I could coz it would be very uncomfortable! I had dull pains and slight swelling in my groin, which went away after a day. My temperature also was raised the next day, indicating I had ovulated.

Hi Ladies,
I've been having a quick read and I noticed that there is quite alot of questions re laps. I think the lap procedure is done for a few reasons, and depending on what you need to get done. if its just flushing out the tubes then i think its very quick and easy. I had a sever case of endo. They punctured me in four places. They cleared out all the endo (but it will come back) and a couple of cysts, ovarian drilling and flushed out my tubes. I went into surgery about 12pm and I came to about 6pm. I was off work for 1 week. Was still sore week 2 but that wasnt unbearable.
I got my results for 21 day blood test yesterday. I am so happy with the result even though I dont think i'm pregnant. My progesterone levels have been something like 1-2 (meaning no ovulation) and finally on my third round they are over 30! I finally ovulated.. woo hoo first time in months. My dr told me to wait till next week before I do a test but i had some spotting this morning.
Bring on round 4!

Emily your spotting could be implantation. It is apparently quite common a week or so after ovulation, I never had it but know of heaps of people that have. Fingers crossed for you.
Oh Keli - in response before, they thought I had endo cause I was getting bad ovulation pains, but didn't, I had my tubes cleaned out, they were blocked but apparently had "gunk" in them. My ovulation pains were explained by my FS that there are three levels of people with ovulation, people who can't feel it, people who can and people who extremely feel it (me). I wasn't ovulating before clomid so really noticed it when I was. It has continued as I felt movement once successful about 15 weeks.
Fingers crossed girls.

Hey 31Becc, thanks for the info about your lap. Well that sounds like good news to me, I would be so happy if I didn't have endo and it was just my tubes. Hopefully I will get to have the lap soon and then I can find out for sure. How long after you had the lap did you fall?
Emily I suer hope I dont have a lap procedure like yours, 6 hours is crazy. Hope it works for you. When did you have it done?
-
Keli - I had to wait until the next AF to start trying and then it was my first month. Hope this helps.
-
Hi ladies
I'm very interested in the lap info as my FS said if clomid doesn't work this round I have to have a lap. I'm coming up to fertile time so  it works this time.
Emily, good to hear you ovulated! Re your lap, did you know you were going to be having so much done when you went to get your lap? Or does the doc only find out what he needs to clean up when he does the procedure? My FS said I'll be right in 4 days after the lap, so hope that is the case.
-
31becc - I havent heard of implantation? Will have to google it.
Keli - I hope its simple for you as well. I had it done in March this year. 9 months now.
Mez Moz - I did a few ultrasounds over a couple of months to monitor the endo movement but basically they dont know until they do the procedure. My fingers are crossed for you. I was back at work the next week.
So started the round 4 clomid. Hopefully the chrissy spirit will work in our favour

Hi ladies
I've just finished 4 days of prenatal yoga teacher training so I can start teaching this style of yoga next year. Gotta admit it was intense and brought up a lot of issues for me which culminated in a mini meltdown last night...thoughts like 'how can I teach prenatal yoga when I can't even get pregnant' and the sadness / frustration / grief in the whole LTTTC journey. But I was also so grateful and amazed by the wonderous learnings about pregnancy and birth. Did you know that the same hormones that flood the body during orgasm are the same hormones that flood your body during birth?!?! Anyway, we'll get our BFP eventually ladies! And then we too will be able to experience the miracle of bringing our baby into the world. When you do become pregnant, I throughly recommend prenatal yoga!
Hope your week goes well

Emily - it is when the egg burrows its way into the wall of your uterus and it is part of the lining coming out (ie spotting).
Hope this helps.

Hi Ladies!
I am 26 and DH is 28... we have been TTC for 3 months (1 out of those 3 I ovulated), but because I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 19 the dr said there is no point in wasting time and put me on Clomid. This is my first cycle on 50mg... I am on day 19 and dont think I have ovulated as yet which is causing me to worry a little.
I have never felt ovulation pain (well not that I can recall), and I have been taking the clomid at night so havent felt any side effects - except for being a little moodier and more irritable than usual.
What an emotional rollercoaster this is... good luck to everyone out there.

Morning all,
Hi Mez Moz, yeah I was the same as you I think. My Gyno said to go on Clomid for 3 months and if I wasn’t’ preggas then she would book me in for a lap, which is where I’m at now, waiting for surgery. Good luck with fertile time, enjoy it. Hope you are ok after your small meltdown? I had one yesterday, no fun at all. Just remember you don’t have to touch the oven to know that it’s hot… Thanks for the hormone info though, I read your post last night and thought it was fabulous.
Welcome Connie_Melb – This is a fabulous sight for those that have been LTTTC. I hope you find it as useful as I have. So is this your first round on Clomid? I was on 50mg for 2 months, the first I ovulated and the second I didn’t, try not to stress cos they can always increase your dose. Some of the girls on this sight have been on 175mg.
As for me, so I too had a small meltdown yesterday. On Saturday 2 friends (One with a 13 month old and the other with a 10 month old) told me that they were about to start trying again, this was really hard for me to hear cos I remember when they first told us they were preggas and I remember thinking…What??? They weren’t even trying, this should be me, we have been trying for so long already, ahhhh!!!! Anyway I got over that eventually but yesterday I had a friend’s baby shower to go to and whilst it was a great baby shower it was a little emotional for me. Babies galore, totally sucks. I was good I held it together until I got in my car to drive myself home and then I kinda lost it. Just a little over it all at the moment.
Thanks for listening girls, you have no idea how much you all mean to me. I would be lost without this site. I really hope one of us is up the duff really soon. It’s about time this site had some more good news.
Hugs & Kisses to you all.
Take care,
Keli

Oh Keli I'm sorry you had a meltdown too. It is so hard when it seems like all your friends can pop out babies without even trying, yet you do so much work to get your body healthy, mind healthy and still no luck! At least there are still quite a few more medical options after clomid and a lap that we can call on. I have to keep reminding myself of this so that I don't get too disappointed each time AF arrives. I'm not sure if you have any enjoyable distractions in your life to take your mind away from babies?? I have found that yoga has been fantastic, not only for my body and mind, but also because I've made lots of friends at the studio I go to and we all talk about yoga - not babies! It's a nice break away from the intensity of LTTTC.
Welcome Connie Melb - I hope your time in this thread is short and you get a BFP very soon. Don't stress about not ovulating the first time on clomid, the doc will just increase your dose if it doesn't work at 50mg. Good to hear you don't have many side effects. Even on 50mg I felt :pms: x 100!!!!
I'm supposed to be ovulating any day now, so DH is getting a workout! With my dates this month I'll know if I'm UTD by Christmas, so I'm hoping Santa will bring me the gift I have been wanting for so long.
Good luck and try to stay positive ladies!

Thanks Mez Moz, I love this site so much, it is a constant reminder that I am not alone in all of this. Yes I exercise to help keep my mind busy. I have been running 2 mornings a week all year with 3 other friends which is great, we all call it therapy, and I have just recently started swimming the other 3 mornings a week. Hubby and I ride some weekends too. I am now in training for a mini triathlon in January. Woo hoo, should be fun. Everything is crossed for the most wonderful Christmas present ever for you honey, I hope all your dreams coming true, and enjoy DTD in the mean time, he he!

Hi Ladies,
Hope you are all feeling happy & positive!
ive been a bit down lately, i had excrutiating pain on my left pelvic side, Sunday & all night through, i was so worried what it could be, i had 100 things going through my mind, i was even thinking of going Hospital, i know on Clomid you can get Ectopic pregnancies, so that was one thing travelling through my mind, i had Monday & tuesday off work, i was in extreme pain, my GP gave me a Ultrasound Referral, & results show i have a 2.1cm Cyst on my Left Ovary, my GP thinks as it was time of my ovulation, that might be why i was in pain, as my eggs may have been dropping making way throught the cyst as it was in the way. Well thats how Gp explains it.. i can still feel the pain but just discomfort. Ive booked in to see my FS but thats not till the 23rd, so ive decided id give me & hubby a break from Clomid over Xmas, I need a break from this emotional rollercoster.
Does anyone know if cyst can affect trying to Fall? GP says no, but i wanna see my FS i know she will be honest. I will asks for More tests, & possibly a higher Clomid Dosage..
Are you ok Kelli? i know that woulda been horrible for you, But you know what try to think of the good things you have in your life that maybe your friends dont, Stability, family, friends, A loving husband.. i know its hard to do, but to keep us from going crazy, it might help a little. I think ill break down if any more of my friends has a baby, & id hope that my sister who has had 2 children will not have another till i do, thats so selfish right??? lol... i just want my turn..
175g of CLomid?? really that much.. that be side affects galore!
Hi Connie, yes i agree with Kelli, this is a great site.. as she said it makes you feel as though your not the only one going through this all.
Have you had many tests done?
Hope to hear back from you ladies!

Hi Jess
So sorry to hear about your cyst. I'm not sure if having a cyst can prevent you from falling preggers, but I can tell you a story about my hairdresser... She was only 8 weeks or so preggers when she had excuciating pain, just like you described, and thought she was having a miscarriage. It turns out a cyst on her ovaries errupted and that's why she was in so much pain. But after a quick trip to hospital, she was given the all clear and 7 months later gave birth to a beautiful boy.
Good idea to give yourselves a break over xmas. I'm about to approach ovulation any day now, and if it doesn't work this time, we are going to have a break too. I'm going to drink some wine, eat soft cheese and sushi, and try not to think about babies!
Now for an awkward question...have any of you on clomid noticed your EWCM dissapear? I never had much to start with and now I have hardly any. My FS said not to use lube, even the so called 'fertility' lubes.... any suggestions?
All the best ladies xo

Mez Moz - apparently Preseed is a good one. I have used that any many other people have too.

Hi ladies,
Nice to see some action back on the site, I get sad when we go through a few days with no contact.
Jess, oh you poor thing honey, are you ok? Make sure you mention how bad the pain was when you see your FS cos pain puts you in a better position when it comes to waiting lists, trust me I know. Not sure about the actual effects of cysts whilst TTC, I’ve had a little Google and it appears it doesn’t seem to be a problem, but then who knows hey, I’d defiantly ask your FS if I were you. Have you thought about having a lap Jess? I know it’s surgery but they can clear a lot of things out for you. Just a thought. Yes I’m ok, just had a mini meltdown. Your right, I do have a wonderful life, I’m healthy, happy, have a hubby that adores me, financial secure (not that that’s everything, but it sure does help) and just bought our new home. Problem is I’d trade it all for a bub, as I’m sure we all would. It is hard to watch all your friends have babies with such ease, is your sister planning on having more?
Now I’m totally confused. I thought that PCOS was hereditary. Is that correct? My sister also has it (got diagnosed after I found out I had it). Does anyone know more about this?
Well it sounds like we are all due for a break doesn’t it? Jess, Mez Moz and I are all having a break from it. Happy no Clomid Christmas to you all!!!!!
Mez Moz, how are you love? Not sure what EWCM actually stands for but I get the jist of what you’re talking about. Mine has been the total the opposite, sorry. Why can’t you use lube? I’ve never heard that before. Bummer, cos we were using it when we first started on Clomid (just for the extra slide – ok now I am laughing, this is hilarious to talk about) but I hate the stuff so we stopped.
Love to all
Keli xxoo
