6 weeks to go till I start on a new treatment....... Forever away.

I have my hsg test Thursday and worried about it now.

I was up last night with the most crippling af pain even after taking naprogesic. Last time it was this bad it was 2006 I was in London and I was hospitalized. I got back home and had to have surgery. Not a good sign at all.

    This cycle was 42 days

Ultrasound in 2 weeks but in the meantime I'll have to go to my gp because I cant do another af the same as last night.

Mrs a how was your baby shower??

    Hey MummyDuck,

I understand exactly what you mean about af pain my DH and my bro almost took me to hospital last night coz of how much af pain I had. Had to take panadine forte and try and sleep it of.

The baby shower was OK because it started at 2 most people didn't turn up until 2.40 in the time I was keeping my niece and step daughter occupied and then by 3 we had to go to the airport which was awesome lol! I am on CD 3 and in 2 days time I start clomid again.
When do you get the test results?
I hope it all works for you.

Im just having some cammimile tea and hopefully off to bed.
    Take care ladies xx

    Slow growing follicles

    Hi there

Im hoping its ok for me to jump in here and ask a question....

I started my new cycle on 2nd June (this is, well meant to be my first IUI cycle) starting taking my clomid day 2-6, had my first u/s and bloods on tuesday 14th. Follie on left was 14mm and follie on right was 10.7.
I was told to come back for another scan friday 17th for possible IUI on saturday (CD17). Left follie was still 14mm but right one was 15mm. They called me on friday arvo to say that I will need a repeat blood test this morning (monday - CD19) and possible IUI on wednesday - but I have just called and have been told to repeat the blood test on friday, and depending on what they say, I will most probably have a consult on monday to discuss what to do next cycle.....

That to me sounds like my FS doesnt think I am going to ovulate
This is only my second cycle on clomid, over 3 months (skipped the cycle in the middle due to personal/money issues) and I take 100mg - 2 tabs a night.

Has anyone else ever had slow growing follicles or their hormone levels just wont rise?
The last 4 cycles I have ovulated on day CD22, and CD22 is this wednesday, but if he is making me wait till friday CD24 am I running the risk of missing it all together?
    I feel useless right now.

    help!

Mummyduck - what a long wait for you, I hate waiting for anything - especially a baby!! I know about AF pain, I have had endo removed before and I still get bad pain. When I ovulate its also awful pain too

Mrs A - Gluck for starting your new clomid pills!!

AFM - Finally spoke to gyno and he said to have another blood test to check progesterone and if its low again then I can take the pill for 7 days (twice a day) then stop it because that will bring on AF and then I can start the clomid again on 50mgs.

Hi gals - about time I jumped into this thread as I've occasionally been peeking in for a week or so.

My story so far - I took Clomid back in '07 and conceived DS1 on the second cycle of it. We then conceived DS2 spontaneously.
We decided a few months ago we'd try for a third, but AF only arrived in Jan (13 months after DS2), and it's been really up the putt. Long cycles, probably anovulatory. So ObGyn put me onto Clomid, particularly given my age (39 in Dec).

This is my first cycle on Clomid since '07 - and I'm finding it quite different from four years ago. Back then I had strong pains and I ovulated on Day 14 or 15. I also was with a FS, so had oodles of blood tests and pretty well knew what what happening with my body. Under the care of the ObGyn, I'm only having a blood test on CD21 - I feel very "in the dark" in terms of ovulation approaching (or not).

This time round, I've had no "symptoms" and I'm up to CD16 (today) with no sign of ovulation ... though tonight I've started to get CM. So hoping it might lead to something .

A question ... do you "always" ovulate on or near Day 14?

    Hi AndiE,

I am taking my second round of Clomid start tonight and last month I had an ultra sound ond CD11 it showed to follies, but as I never get CM i was relying on a O Kit which I think didnt' really work.... But according to the kit I o'ed on day 20 so I think it really depends other times I haved o'ed on day 10, right up until day 23 so I think it just depends. I am under an FS so he just tells me "oh yeah there are 2 follies take this trigger injection" and thats about it. I am actually thinking about not bothering with the clomid this month coz all did last month was give me hives lol!
    Good Luck xx

    Hi all,

Sorry to hear things didn't go so well MrsA - wishing you all the best if you do decide to go another round.
Hoping your third round does the trick Peachy.

I had my day 21 BT today - I'm not expecting to hear that I did ovulate. I tested with OPKs for seven days from Day 14, but no positive result eventuated (though I'm mindful OPKs aren't necessarily the be-all and end-all of determining ovulation). Guess all will be revealed when I call the ObGyn Monday! If not, then I presume I'll be put up to 100mg Clomid (currently 50mg).

That's no good MrsA! What dosage were you on? What happened?

Good luck if you decide to go again.

Hi lovely ladies, hope you don't mind if I poke my head in here to ask a quick question...

I'm on my first Clomid cycle (50mg) and today's CD 11 blood test has my estrogen levels over 2000. FS says high chance of twins. Kinda freaking out here!

Has anyone else had levels this high? Any past Clomid users, did you conceive twins with high E2? Or just the one bub? Also, what's the risk of Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome and how will I recognize it?

This will all be beside the point if the cycle's a bust, but for now just trying to think calm thoughts!

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Peachey,
Just didn't take to kindly to it this round didn't feel so great headaches and sickly feeling.. but finished it now. Went to FS this morning for a CD12 ultra sound he said looks good (he always says that!) This time I asked why and he said there is a nice size follie sitting there. He gave me a trigger so here's hoping! I am on 50mg. Next Tuesday having a bt so by Thursday I will know.
    How are you going?

    Hi Buffy1 and Rosey! Welcome
Buffy1 I have just completed round 2 of clomid and having a BT next week so I will find out then about the levels... Fingers crossed for you! Let us know how you go.

Rosey, how are you feeling after your first round? It is so nerve wrecking isn't it! by the end of this week I will be doing the same thing.

Hope everyone else is doing well.
    Take care lovely ladies

    Hi MrsA,

Thats a bummer you felt ill! Fingers crossed that you get a this cycle

I was only emotional thankfully (well as thankfull as you can get considering your a blubbering or screaming mess lol!).

I feel ok after the first round, will soon know on Sunday when AF is do for her visit. I was feeling symptoms of early pregnancy but that is all gone now, think it was all in my hopefull head or side effects from the clomid or AF coming!

Has anyone else has early pregnancy like symptoms when taking Clomid? What do you all do to survive the TWW?

Hi Girls I've changed my user name to Razzberry!! Its erybery!

Hi Gals and and to you newbies to the thread!

So I was pleasantly surprised AF rocked up after 34 days instead of the 77 like last cycle, so even though the clomid didn't make me ovulate at least it shortened my cycle.

So I am cycle day 7 and took my last clomid pill today. Im now on 50mg so hopefully that will be enough!!

Thanks very much for your reply Mrs A, and hi to the other ladies - Rosey, Razzbery, Peachey, AndieE...lovely to "meet" you.

I'm having another BT tomorrow to see how estrogen and LH is going; meanwhile the BD continues (poor DH!). I also have mega pre-ovulation pain on both sides, usually it's just the right. Two eggs on the way methinks. SuperOvulation - I feel as though I need a cape of some kind
