LTTTC and Taking Clomid/Metformin # 8

Hi everyone, I am really scared of starting the clomid. I have no idea what it will do to my body. Hopefully make me pop an eggy but I guess I never saw myself needing it.

Don't be scared! If I can do it, you can do it. It's true that there could be side effects, but they just mean that Clomid is doing its job.

Talk to your health professional if you have any questions at all hon, that's what they're there for...and of course you can always talk to us...

Gosh, I think it's all new girls in here too.

DaydreamBeliever, you will be fine. I was scared too, but I'm still alive! The only side effects I had were strong pains at O time, but they lessened with every cycle. And hot flashes with sweating (at night). DH thinks I was a b*tch, but I don't think I was any different. DH always thinks that lol.

Hi ladies hope everyone is well and welcome to the new ladies. Well it's been an interesting week. BT results says ovulation but a BFN today as AF arrived. Does any one have shorted cycles taking clomid?? The FS wants to see me this week to discuss "the next step" but I have e no idea what that means.

feeling quite down. BT showed no ovulation, so will be having another test in a week in case i ovulated late but otherwise its 2 tablets (100mg) next time for me

Mrs A, so, so sorry about AF's unwelcome arrival. Yes, my cycle has been shorter. Hoping the FS will have a great action plan to discuss with you this week.
Razzberry, big hugs. That's such a bummer, no wonder you're down. Perhaps your egg is just a little shy and still on her way?? Otherwise upping the dose may be just the ticket. Thinking of you.

Hi Ladies
Well I was 10 min late for my 8am app so the FS couldn't see me!! He had to be in surgery by 8.30 so rescheduled for 8pm tonight. So nervous haven't been able to think about anything else all day. It's almost 5.30pm and I'm already here didn't want to battle Melbourne city traffic only to be home for 10 mins! Anyway have to pick up DH at 7 so I'll just talk to you lovely ladies.

Just a quick question. Can u drink alcohol (I am talking 3 standard drinks) while on clomid? Any feedback appreciated. I am so new to this.

I took my final clomid for the month today and not 1 side effect so far.

Thanks buffy1 sorta good and bad news no more clomid for me now I'm on the gonal f injections until august if no BFP then it's onto IVF

but I guess we do what we have to!
How are you going? DDB that is awesome let's up it's a good sign and you get your BFP this month.
How is everyone else doing?

Oh DDB I think drinking three standard drinks is ok. I'm sue I read it some where but maybe it's worth a google search

Hi MrsA-CD 12 here today and I am starting to get the cramps that say eggies are getting ready. I may have a drink I may not. I don't want to risk anything.

FX for your Gonal F so you don't have to go on ivf.

Hi Girls, well looks like I should have more faith in myself! I ovulated on day 21! so now have a few more days to wait till I test. However I dont have any pregnancy symptoms so not hopeful. I see my gyno next week but he said when I spoke to him on the phgone yesterday to take 2 tablets (100mgs) next cycle as it may make me ovulate earlier in my cycle.

Daydream - Hoping your eggie is getting ready!!!!

Hi ladies, I had awful pains yesterday so did 2nd opk and it was positive so i think i ovulated. I had all the signs so it looks like i am in the 2ww.

Daydream - I hope you caught your eggie, I have awful pains when I ovulate too

AFM - I did a test this morning and got my BFP! I was so shocked as really didn't think their was much hope this month. Glad i am gradulating from this thread but sad people are still in here, I wish you all the best hope everyone gets their BFPs in the next few weeks so we can be in the same bellybuddy group!
