Honestly, I would go for it unmonitored. The worst that can happen is multiples.

N2l thanks I sound so dumb with all my questions! I have another med I have to take after it to help with lining thickening also. Multiples is ok as long as it's not Octomum!

Joeve: I have never been monitored on a clomid cycle (& I have done many cycles !) the only thing I have sometimes is progesterone done 7dpo

I think you will be fine on 50 mg unmonitored. You might want to chart a few days or use OPK's so you have some idea what is happening because clomid can change your O date. Best of luck hun xoxo

Hello Ladies, I am so sorry I haven't been in in ages. It has been very busy. My 3rd cycle of Clomid in October did the job but unfortunately I MC's so I had November off the Clomid and am now back on it again. Have just had 4 days of pos OPKs. The side effects this month were the worst they have ever been.

    How are you all?

Sneaking in to say EXACTLY the same thing happened to me this month! I put it down to diluted wee, but I have also read that LH can dip just before a surge.

I would say, from what I have read, today is your surge. You will ovulate in the next 12-36 hours!

    Good luck

Clomid can cause false positive OPK's if you test too close to when you took the clomid. I think it's something like 3-5 days you have to wait from the last tablet until you can safely rely on OPK's.

I took Clomid last on CD 9 and now CD 21, so started OPKS on CD 14.

i guess i'm back in here now.

not sure that i expect to ovulate on clomid, but my Gyne wants to give it a go, so i figure why not? after resigning myself to being a one child family unless a miracle happened, this has thrown me a bit of a curve ball! have just finished taking them CD 2-6, with CD 21 BT being the only monitoring we'll have (which won't happen til CD23 - don't think pathology will open just for little ol' me on NYDay!)

given i have pcos, can't use OPK's to check for ovulation, so we'll be winging it i guess. i'm not wanting to become obsessive over it like i have in the past - i can't take myself away from DH and DD like that, so i'm really just going to try and relax and make the most of the excuse to be close to DH from christmas to new years lol

I have taken all mine and hopefully my opks come in the post tomorrow.
A few hot flushes but apart from that all is good.
I am starting another drug today that helps with lining thickening that clomid can cause. Anyone else take this with clomid?

    Girls I need HELP!

I am sick. Really sick. I have the runs, terrible nausea. Hot flushes up the wazoo. I have a phobia of committing, so this is setting off serious panic attacks. Is it a sidd effect of the clomid?

I have come to the scary conclusion today that I won't cope being pregnant without a lot more help controlling the vomit phobia. Can I do something to ruin this cycle? I know this sounds irrational given I would live more children but I am seriously traumatized by the ms from dd's pregnancy and I'm not as ok with it as I thought
