Thanks so much guys, just got a day 25 (ovulating late) progesterone blood test, it's nice to come home to some friendly messages already!
I think I'm going to enjoy my internet helpers....
HI again!
Ok so took my first clomid tablet last thursday night and was all good, then on sunday morning I woke up and lo and behold I had my period
Now how in the world does this happen? I had not had a period since I went off the pill last year in November!!
Could the chemicals in the clomid make me get a period? As my gyno did heaps of bloods on me and they said i was not ovulating - hence no period.
Can anyone shed some light on this please?! As i am a bit freaked out.
The gyno has told me to stop taking the clomid on sunday (took three tablets already) and to re-start them on days 5 - 9
Hi Everyone!
I have been reading everyones post's and there is alot happening in here now!!
Firstly congrats :confetti:Tammara - what a nice ending to a horrible trip to the hospital!
And a big welcome :hello: to Reggie B & Danielle - I am pretty new to this thread too and it is lovely to come on here and feel so much love from all the girls - they really are helpful - good luck guy's with the clomid.
As for everyone else I hope your all doing well and keeping your spirits up :grouphug:.
AFM - My DH has had his second round of testing and we are waiting on the results before we can get the referral for ICSI - I can't get into my FS for two full weeks which is really annoying because I want to get started, I feel like we are getting so close to having our dream baby and I am more impatient now then ever - does that make sense?
This was my first cycle on Met and my AF arrived smack bang on day 28 which has only ever happened when I was on the pill - it's usually 40-50 days! So maybe something is working right for us!
Anyway thinking of you all! Off to work now :computer:
Hi Ladies
Thanks for all your congrats, hope there are many more to come in the NEAR future. I had my blood tests done and i am only 4 weeks so have a long impatient road ahead of me.
I am happy to update everyone in here but i totally understand if some people might not want to read about my success while still not pregnent so please tell me if you prefer me not to post.
Good luck for everyone, and to the new girls i found this forum soooooo helpfull and the girls are lovely - thanks for all your advice :)
Haha,
I just brought home yet another plastic specimen cup to my hubby's delight. Is he the only one that freaks out at this sperm-challenge? Poor darling wont even get out of the car when we drop off his sample:redface:.....Like the Doctors are all going to stand there pointing and laughing.....
Got the results from my day 21 progesterone test. :crying: last time it was 2% ovul but this time 0%. But hopefully It's just because I am ovulating late, and my day 25 test comes back 200%!!!!!!!:leap:
Hi Everyone,
I been reading all your posts and just nodding my head at alot of things you guys are talking about.
I have been diagnosed with PCOS in Oct 2008 but have had Symptoms for 7 years.
Anyway I am about to start 1st cycle of Clomid and a bit concerned as cycle has not come around as it regularly would. not sure whether to start the clomid or not???.
I am new here so not sure on all the terms..
I have also been seeing a naturopath which seems to be help somehow.
Hi Girls
Just a little update with me. On Friday i noticed a little brownish spotting so i went to the hospital to get checked out and had blood tests and ultrasounds done and dont have a result as yet. The Dr thought it might be an eptopic pregnancy or i am just REALLY early. Good news if there is any - i have not had abdominal pain so i dont think i have misscarried. Just need to get another blood test and ultrasound done in two weeks ( i think i will get blood done sooner just for peace of mind) and take it from there.
I am trying to stay positive though I AM PREGNANT :)
Will keep you informed. hope everyone is well
Hi Girls,
I'm dropping in to say goodbye! DH and I have decided to stop actively trying for a while. We won't be going back on the BCP though, so you never know what might happen, we may turn out to be one of those "they stopped trying and fell pregnant" stories that plague infertiles :p
We are planning to move overseas in 2 years and our research is showing just how much trickier that will be with a baby in tow. So we're putting things on hold for a bit.
I hope you all get your BFP's soon. It's been great having your support and getting to share in the excitement of Erybery and Tammara's good news. I'll still check in occasionally to see how you are travelling if that's okay.
Hi girls, sorry have been offline - been jetsetting!
Welcome, Danielle, Reggie and Cony - it is a great link - helps you vent and get things out and ask questions of people who understand!
Tammara - could it be spotting? Apparently that can happen. Good luck - fingers crossed for you.
Bonnie - goodbye - keep us posted if you are one of those lucky ones or if you decide you want to come back on.
Kylie - how is your month going?
Mahli - can understand that one - because my FS was closing up over christmas, it worked out that I got my AF the week before and would need to be monitored. They said I couldn't start until January because of them being away! Very frustrating. I just started anyway!
As for me. No pains at all this month - apart from when "O" apparently occured. So don't know the difference as each month has been different! Can't test until 19th - hate the waiting game.
I have figured out chlomid makes you act "irrationally" - I have been trying to put it into words for ages!~
Baby dust to all.
Hi Becc!!
When you say pain? what did it feel like, this is the 7day after alast clomid tablet for me and past couple hours been having a sharpish pain left hand side of tummy - is this what 'o' feels like?! ha ha
or am i going insane?
Reggie
Yep, I wouldn't say pain, but feels like a twinge and stitch - yep apparently it is "O" or you are about to, so my FS says
My pains as such were really bad last month and wasn't just the above, felt like I was bruised from my ribs down - don't have it this month thoughm, but did have the twinge stitch like pain last week - when i was supposed to have.
You had better get onto your baby dancing!!!!!
good luck!
becc
Hi everyone
Got some bad news unfortunately, when i woke this morning i noticed i was bleeding again so went to the hospital and i lost the baby.
Dont know what is worse - not being able to get pregnent or getting pregnent and losing it less than 2 weeks of finding out???????
hope everyone else is having a better day
oh tam- big hugs for you,
same thing happened to me first time round. i really think my body just did not know what to do.
hugs and you will feel better soon- i found it helpful to join the loss thread helped heaps- all you feelings are valid and seem uncontrollable at times pm me if you want.
xox
Tammara - thoughts are with you and DH.
Argh! I've missed so much - I haven't been getting my 'update' emails so I thought no-one was posting and just on the off chance thought I'd better check!
I'll be back to have a proper read and do personals, just wanted to tell you that I haven't gone AWOL
:hello:
Hey everyone,
I'm Jess :) I've only been ttc since January, had a very early m/c in Jan, then a bfn last month. Was going to be trying again this month but the clinic have told me they want to skip this month as I'm on cd 18 already and absolutely no signs of ovulating any time soon. So after skipping this one they want me to start taking clomid from cd2 on the next cycle. I know my cycles are just messed up from the m/c a couple of months ago, but I'm finding it depressing that I have to go on clomid cuz I don't think I have any fertility problems!
Anyway...... just wanted to say hi to you all!
