LTTTC Two Week Wait - April 2008 #1

HI Ladies,

I'm joining you today in the TWW after my first ET this morning. I embie transferred, and now the waiting begins.

Hi everyone

I have to admit I'm more a reader than a poster, but now that I'm in the TWW for the first time I thought I'd add my little bit.

One week ago I had 24 eggies picked up, 16 inseminated (ICSI), 13 fertilised and now I have 1 lovely blastie bubble on board and, I just found out today, 3 in the freezer. Blood test is on 21st May.

Am feeling very fortunate to have such a good result so far, as our last (and first) cycle ended up with only 1 fertilised and then no transfer at all!

So I have been patting my belly lots and trying to be positive but not think about it too much, like all of you I'm sure ;):wiggle:

Well im now in the one WW as BT is next tuesday, went and had my levels checked today. The last week has flown by since ET but i just know this week will b slow and agonising, i may have to give into the poas this weekend though ( i have no will power) i actually read one girls account of IVF and she said doing a POAS was her taking back some control of the whole process, so i thought that sounded like a really good excuse, i think also i like to be prepared for THAT phone call.
Anyone get really bad AF cramps with crinone, i feel like AF is going to arrive at any moment also pulling pains if i move the wrong way ?

Hi all u lovely ladies,

Had my ET today! Officially have 1 bewdiful blasty on board. Waiting to hear if the rest of my embies will make it to blasty today / overnight! On previous 2 cycles have only ended up with 1 to transfer and none to freeze! Dont know why that keeps happening, but at least I have 1 as can imagine no transfer would almost be as bad as having cycle cancelled (which happened the 2nd time for me!).

Anyway looking forward to seeing lots of BFPs in here!

TL - hunger is a good sign! Hope all is well with you hun!

Janet - congrats on your ET today as well! GL!

Scooby - I hate the crinone! The cramps havent started yet, but looking forward to those! Imagine my joy this cycle when I found out I would be upping pessaries to twice a day! If it helps bubs stick then I'll put up with it I guess! Stay away AF!

Lulu - yeah I made it! How are you feeling? Hope all is well and that your embies are nicely tucked in :)

Mon - I have 1 Blastie on board as well - I am feeling really positive about this cycle. Strange AF feelings but apparently that is normal!

Hugs to all - and a little tip - Do NOT under any circumstances get braces put on on the day of ET - the pain is excruciating and you cannot eat anything - what the hell was I thinking - why don't I just five myself a paper cut and pour lemon juice in it! Sheesh!

Hey Delly - this is starting to look like a reunion...can we make it the last please?? OMG - you poor thing. You know I got braces when I was 13 and still remember that first week - I promise it does get better honey..and think of the reward..

Mon - am glad you got a blastie...may he/she settle in nicely.

Me - well had ET Monday. 2 embies put back - they were moralists (spelling..?) - almost blastie. So they kept the remaining 2 out to try and get to embie and sadly they degenerated overnight. OK - I'll admit, Tuesdays call made me really sad because I just assumed that the 2 put back may have gone that way as well. Anyway..have to hope they prefer their new surroundings rather then still being in a petrie dish.

Anyway..hope you girls in the final week are remaining cool calm and collected...

2 years this month of trying and yes we did give in on the weekend and did a test and it was positive straight away. They said hcg had to be over 100, mine was 800.
