Bec - it warms my heart to hear your fantastic news and gives me hope.
BOC - I agree it is amazing to see the embie on the screen. I always bring a camera and take a photo of it. The photos turn out surprisingly well.
I think I'm out this month, too soon to be sure but BFNs on POAS and just have a feeling. I'm a bit down but hoping that cycle no 7 will be as lucky for me as it was for Bec.
By the way, I've never had an ultrasound at ET

A flare cycle is basically a short cycle- takes 4 weeks from start of AF and begins with synarel administration from day 2 and FSH shots from day 3. Ive always had 9 days of FSH shots, trigger and EPU 36 hrs later. Transfer always Day 2 tf. HTH

Thanks Dutchie80 for the flare explanation....it makes you realise how many different cycles are out there. I had never heard of a flare cycle before.
BOC - Well you have reached half way now....downhill stretch, I hope you are feeling great and positive!
AFM - I am ay 8dpt and have only 3 more days until BT....I hope my numbers are high!! Really trying to stay super busy to keep distracted!! :pray:

Hi Everyone... I'm hoping I can join you in this TWW for the first time... I'm on my first IVF cycle.. I had a Blastie put back yesterday and my BT is the 11th of May... I'm so glad my clinic don't make me wait an extra long time for that... Good luck to you all... I hope there are a few BFP's going on in here soon...

Jodz - not long to go - so hope that this is it for you. I am also about half way. I know you got your faint positive on a POAS but are you feeling anything else? Curious to know.

AFM finding it really hard not to go completely insane. This is really hard. I think what's making it even harder is that I'm about half way through the TWW and not feeling anything so I'm starting to panic that it hasn't worked. I'm on day 5 after a day 5blastie transfer - is there still a chance that those pregnancy symptoms might still kick in before next Wed?? Oh please tell me there is still time???
Anyway thinking of you all and wishing you all the luck in the world.
Kmond - I only started to feel things from day 5 and 6, just a taste in my mouth and felt a bit hungrier (if that is possible) than usual. If you look on the time line I put earlier in the thread if things are going to schedule you really will only start to feel things from now so don't panic!! There is always still time!!

Kwond - When I got my BFP, I had no symptoms at all and I got a positive POAS 10 days after ET so dont lose heart. Hang in there :D

AFM did another POAS after the first one (3 days in a row actually) all 3 were positive, then I waited 2 days and did another but this time the line was lighter so basically a BFN, interesting. I am starting to think maybe I am the problem. Seem to be able to make an embryo and get a first line BFP then a week later it seems to fall apart. I am also wondering whether to try naturally for a while. We are sending hubby in for a new count so we will make a decision after that. If the counts reasonable maybe we just have to wait. I don't really feel like AF id coming anytime soon but also don't feel preg, actually I feel nothing. Strange isn't it. Well I don't believe it's over til she comes so I just have to wait and see.

My hpts were two dark lines from one brand and 1 faint second line from another brand, all in same day. So I do hope that it is the variation in the brands and you have BFP Rob.:

I had my AI as part of my 2nd IUI attempt yesterday. Feeling a little bit more relaxed than last time, although I usually find its the last few days when I start freaking out....

AFM today is the first day I feel normal again. I professed my love for my acupuncturist today, she cured my back and other pains in 2 days! Anyway it's great to be back, DH said it's good to not have the zombie wife in town anymore LOL. Here's praying I never have to go thru that again!

I am new and not sure where i fit in most. I am on my first cycle of iui and I am going through my 2ww.i feel abit stupid :wall: as i cannot workout some of the lingo but eventually i'll work it out.
I would really appreciate anyone with some input on my situation:
I started treatment on sunday 12/4 gonal -f injections
Got trigger(assume thats what u call it) friday 17/4 Ovidrel
Insemination done sat on 18/4
Pregnyl 1500iu shots on 21/4, 24/4 and 27/4
I am hooked on HPT's did one wed 29/4 and today 1/5 both times positive. Should I be excited? :pray:BT is on 6/5 :)

Bit of news for me....just had my BT this morning and have spent the whole morning doing chores and trying not to watch the phone!! Arggh!!
Well we are pregnant we have very high HCG (237) but boarder line progesterone (at 30 normally like over 30) there always seems to be a hitch for us!! FS is great he is organising me some progesterone injections (not normally done in Aus) and I have to up my pessaries to 500g per day now. Gosh I hope this one is a stayer... :pray:

AFM still wandering around in 2ww land. Had a really great day yesterday, was feeling very positive but then last night I started getting some pains so now I'm a little down. I don't know what to do this is really doing my head in. :wall:
I swore there was no way I was going to POAS that I would just wait for my BT but now I don't know if I can wait that long and if it's a :bfn: I don't really want the nurses to be the ones to tell me. When would be the earliest I could POAS? I had my ET last Monday oh and any tips on the best brands?

Just a little update, about 5 minutes after my last post I decided I couldn't hack it anymore and went down to the chemist and bought a dip stick test. It took me a while, stage fright set in and I couldn't pee! :rofl:
Anyway there is a very very faint 2nd line!!! It's really faint but it's definitely there! The photo I took doesn't do it justice. Will do another POAS in a couple of days and hopefully the line will be darker...
Now I just have to butter up DH before I tell him I did the one thing he didn't want me to do I hope he'll be too excited to worry about it.
I'm hoping with all my :heartbeat: it's not any of the drugs and this is really our turn.

I am terrible I am a POAS addict...I don't even tell my DH I do it until I get late in the 2WW!!;)
I am sure it will be darker in a couple of days, I use First Response test you get from Woolworths. (They come in a 3 pack too!!!)

About good HPT- next time we get to a TWW, I will be buying a pkt of Clearblue digital HPT as theres no confusion over whether theres a line or not. I believe First Response are good aswell.

My BT was today but I knew it was negative - I was upset on Friday but OK today. We have 6 frosties this time so i'm going to do an FET. I am demanding that we put in 2 this time - all my other cycles have been only 1. My FS really doesn't want me to do this and is making me see a high risk obstetrician for a pre-pregnancy review before she will put in 2.
I just don't think they understand that I grieve for the ones that don't stick as well.
:dance: Yay Jodz... Congrats on your BFP.. I really hope they can get the progesterone level up and that you can go on to have a H&H 9 months..
Boc - :clap: Yay for second line... Can't wait for confirmation for that BFP.. The only drug that will affect the line is if your on Pregnyl (I think that's the only one)
Bridget.. So sorry that your BT was a BFN.. I really hope you get a sticky one on this FET.. Good luck..
mitf - I hope you are going ok with the TWW
Emerald Star - I really hope this cycle is the one for you but the BFP's are from the Pregnyl shots you are having.. You have to wait a certain number of days after your last dose for a HPT to be accurate but I don't know how long that is.. good luck any way hun hopefully soemone else can tell you...
AFM - Feeling kind've calm.. I have been for the last couple of days... If veins standing out against my skin all over my stomache and BB's are a sign then I can't wait for next Monday... I have a good feeling but I guess I just have to wait...

AFM not long to go now thank goodness - I have my BT on Wednesday morning so only 2 more sleeps to go. Have had a better week this week as I've been busier than the first week when I tried to take it really easy and stay home however it also sent me completely around the bend. Hello, I'm finally here - FET was on Friday so am now on day 5 of the TWW. My BT is next Friday - right now that seems so far away......

AFM, as before, not really any symptoms apart from the bad skin and an insatiable hunger, seriously I'm scoffing everything in sight! But then that could be becasue I was so sick for 10 days after EPU that I barely ate...
Anyway DH hit the roof when I told him what I did, took me about an hour to talk him round. He's worried I'll get my hopes up then crash if it doesn't work out. But I'll get my hopes up regardles of POAS or not.
I've done 2 more POAS (1 each day) and this morning the 2nd line was a little shade darker (or at least I hope it's not my imagination)! :pray: Please God please please please let this be it!

Bridget - a thought from me re wanting to put 2 frosties back. I was in a similar situation - I had 2 frosties left and just wanted to use them both so that I could get back onto a fresh cycle. My FS explained that a twin preg is a lot more high risk / complications / possible defects, so, being totally risk averse, I opted for just 1 (I figured, it would only add one more month to getting back to a fresh cycle if it didn't work out, which wasn't too long in the scheme of things). Well, I was very glad I went for one, because it did stick and I'm not sure my body would have coped with twins (and a lot of ladies do have a very tough time carrying twins). Anyway, just some thoughts.

AFM - well after Boc's great news the other night I decided I was going to POAS it took me a day to work up the courage and talk DH round. I just felt like I was getting AF because I was a bit crampy - I did the hpt just to know I was still in with a shot. I did the test and we sat and stared at it for ages and then a light second line started to appear, for the first time ever in all the hpt I have done we have a second line!!:leap: Now I don't want to get to excited about it but it is nice to know we are still in the game!!

AFM I feel a bit like I am back to square one, I am back in tomorrow for another BT to check my levels. I think I am more nervous this time than I was on Sunday!! I have A LOT of history and I am terrified it will be repeated. My wonderful FS has managed to find a chemist that makes injectable progesterone and I am going to have one of those tomorrow when I visit the clinic. (Apparently they really hurt!!) But I am willing to do anything at this point to get me further in this pregnancy. Sorry for my rant....I am trying to stay positive but it is hard sometimes, as you all know.
Will let you know how I go.
