:cryinglaugh::cryinglaugh::cryinglaugh::cryinglaug h:
Carla it's hard to say because practically every preggo symptom is a crinone side effect.
In the first 2 weeks after transfer I...
- was sensitive to smell (yes OMG bad BO nearly made me sick)
- had quite bad tummy cramps and sudden nausea
- had a feint metallic taste in mouth
- had sore BB
- had gone off food i really really liked (meat, curry) and just wanted to eat chips and other carby things
- was getting puffed quite easily
- had been really exhausted. Like nanna naps are not negotiable - was passing out all over the shop!
after the first two weeks the bad tummy cramps and nausea went away replaced by mild cramps and nausea here and there. Tiredness is getting a bit better, but still very very sore BB.
So it's hard to know how much of this was in my head or crinone induced, or from preggo hormones. I spoke to my mum and she said she felt funky from pretty much day dot, and the morning sickness kind of got better as time went on. So who knows!!! It's a good sign though :)
Fingers crossed it's preggo hormones Carla!

oh BeiBei :( I'm so sorry to hear that hun *hugs*

Tish- Congratulations!! I'm so happy for you. Hope your levels rise well over the coming weeks.
Well I just received my phone call and it's a BFP for me:dance:. Can't even believe it. My levels are perfect today and I'm just over the moon.
If there is any advice I can give to you all, it's not to give in to the POAS urge. I did 2 BFN POAS's on the weekend and on Mon my BT showed a BFP, but with low levels, now on Thurs everything is perfect. I know that's how some of you get through this and that is great if it works for you, but even if you get a BFN, realise there is still hope. As I said in an earlier post, if you are procrastinating about whether to give in or not, I'd say don't.
Just want to wish you all the very best on your journey and thank you so much for your support. I especially want to thank my dearest Lulu, who has helped me this last 2 weeks more than she will ever know..this is just the start for us.
Big hugs and best of luck to you all
Bel

-
oh Bel......yeah yeah yeah yeah:happyforyou::happyforyou::happyforyou::happyforyo u::happyforyou::happyforyou::happyforyou::happyfor you::happyforyou:
-
LOL Carla, then I guess it's probably not a crinone side effect then ;)
Towards the end of the 2ww it made me happy to think about the symptoms I was getting and imagine that they were due to preggo symptoms, even though I knew in the back of my mind it could be crinone and BFN.
I figure after all the crap we have gone through to get to the 2ww in the first place it's nice to enjoy those good feelings while we can, if that makes sense! Well that was my take on it anyway.
Bah, I can't believe you're not on crinone! I'm excited for you, everything's crossed! :D

Hi Ladies
So about this but I need to vent....
I am sitting here tonight on my own (with my puppy) and Im having a minor meltdown.....Not only do I feel a little off but Im going oout of my mind wondering if allthe 'so called' symptoms I am experiencing are wishful thinkin even though they are happening or part of AF about to arrive. Am I making more of this than it really is.....I want to POAS sooo bad but dont want to give in...Im being stubborn but its killing me. If I tested now would it be the right time or too soon???? GOD..........DH is on night shift tonight and the poor thing hasnt got much work done due to me calling him every hour crying or trying to justify why the hell I feel so bad. I think all my symptoms are stress related....at least AF hasnt arrived as yet.....if I can get through to sunday night with no AF, then maybe I might get abit excited....we might be in for a shot!
Sorry guys...feeling miserable:dunno:
-
Carla sorry you're feeling like that. We've all been there! Maybe just a gentle suggestion - log off BB and try and watch a movie for a bit of distraction - I know that is REALLY hard to do, and when I've been close to the end of my TWW I am CONSTANTLY the one to check pages and pages of threads and old posts on BB, but I never find any answers to my own situation and it winds me up!!
Here's a big hug  If it's late, go to bed - that's what I do to make the day come quicker!!
I'm seriously considering asking my BT to be delayed a day, i'm so worried about the results, and I've also arranged to see some friends that night so dont know if I could do it if I have knowledge of a bfp or bfn!
I had a bit of a wakeup call today. I've been so absorbed with the baby stuff lately, and today a friend called me about our mutual worries for another close girlfriend, who has become deeper and deeper entrenched in a very dysfunctional relationship. It makes me so sad to think of her and knowing they've just got engaged. I think of my own DH and even though I'm aching for a baby, I'm SO SO SO SO SO glad I have him.. and would much rather that than a baby in a relationship like my friend's. But it's also a natural progression for us to want a baby with the man we love... I really hope it happens this month for you Carla - go to bed with a book if you can't sleep, we'll be here tomorrow :grouphug:
-
PS - aren't puppies beautiful to cuddle when you're feeling down... and when they start licking/nibbling your toes it can't help but make you smile!! My dog Simba is like that.
-
Thanks Deni
Your right ...towards the end of the tww your really starting to lose it. Thanks for the kind words...
I feel the same way about my DH....we are blessed to hve such great men...not everyone has that....it is really said seeing a friend go through something like that..I have a friend int he same boat ans it makes me so mad that she stays....its on its off its on its off....should be OFF FOR GOOD! Makes you really appreciate your life. I have been trying to repeat my New Years Resolution....be grateful for what we do have and angry for what we dont have.
I would love to cuddle up with my puppy but he doesnt nibble at the moment...he BITES...he is going through the'lets rip mummies arm off' stage....I have cuts and scratches all over me....He had 'time out' tonight becuase he got naughty!!! Now he is sound asleep under my feet.....he is great theropy...
Deni thanks for everything..we are so in the same boat huh!!! only 4 more sleeps....
I feel the same as you..Im abit worried that I will be getting a phonecall AT WORK with my results..how the hell do you prepare yourself for that...thats why i want to POAS Sunday night..at least i will be prepared.
-
On Monday I'm going to tell them, I'LL CALL YOU, DON'T CALL ME. I have a window of time that might work for me and I HATE waiting by the phone for them to call, as is usually the practice at my clinic. I'm going to wait until 4.30, right at the end of the day, and I've deliberately made myself some client appointments between 2-3.30, otherwise I'd be tempted to ring earlier. Not that I'm so committed to work, I'm just trying to put a bit of control over when I hear the news...
I'm off for a very early night as I'm reading a really good book at the moment , The Faraday Girls.
gnite everyone who's still up! Nite Carla! See you tomorrow, when it will be one less sleep.
-
How is everyone this morning?
Anyone up for a blood test today? :crossfingers: if you are !!
My "lab" tests so far haven't come up with anything (meaning, my part-labrador dog's tests). I heard that dogs (?and cats) can pick up your "pregnancy" scent.. a woman in the IVF clinic waiting room was saying her dog started being very interested in sniffing her belly, some time after her final injection (last few days before BT) when she ended up being pregnant, and wasn't interested another month when she wasn't.. could all be rubbish of course but doesn't stop me showing Simba my tummy every so often!! So far she's not acting any different... maybe it's still too early... DH just rolls his eyes at me ....
-
Morning Everyone
Yes I AM ADDICTED..I guess it easier to write allthis than to actually sit with someone and bore them as they no nothing about how we all feel......
Hope everyone is having a good morning........
-
I agree Carla... my friends often say to me "wow Sharon, you're coping with everything so well" - little do they know I get it all out of my system by talking about my worries, excitement/grief, anxieties with all you girls !! (The best people to understand anyway!!) :grouphug:
-
so true....all my friend think I ROCK with the way Im handling things...I am and Im not.....you have to do what you have to do I guess...I think they would be the same if they had to do it. I guess you just find your inner strength and sometimes dont realise how much you have. But it has def helped me talking with you ladies...
Deni..are you feeling anything. Any signs.....stillno AF for me but have a feeling she might visit me soon.
-
Hi
All.....I think I am spotting....it was kinda pinkish but very faint.....what the hell does this mean..should I call my clinic
-
Carla - First of all you do ROCK honey - this is the place to let it all out. Baby we are nearly though this - AF you keep away or I will go ninja on your @ss!
-
Carla honey don't panic - I am pretty sure it's normal.
Morning Deni Darling!
Re the pets thing - my girlfriend is 8 weeks pg and butterflies keep landing on her and her cat that up to this point hissed at her all the time refuses to budge from her tummy!
Hugs to all
A
-
Thanks darlink!!!
Well I spoke to my FS and she said that if it is pinkish (which it is) that could be the start of AF. An implantation bleed is more old blood and brown. The spotting is very slight, I mean I had to stick it up to my eye to make sure.....eewwww..she said maybe do a POAS tomorrow and see......i cant believe it might not have worked again...its not fair.
-
Honey - that is so funny - I am imagining someone walking in to find you eyeball to gusset in the bathroom. Babe - don't make yourself nuts - it could be anything and Monday is only 3 more sleeps away!
The more you stress the harder it makes it darling!
Sorry - still chuckling!:cryinglaugh:
-
ok well went and did another knicker check...well actually toilet paper check...and nothing...god please god please....btu I still think there was something here before...and i thought i noticed something at home tis morning too. I will just have to be patient!!! YER RIGHT...
How is everyone else....any signs for anyone else??????
-
Wow - you don't visit for a day or two and so much happens!
Bel and Tish - Congrats to both of you on your BFPs - wishing you both the happiest and healthiest of pregnancies!
Bei-Bei and Lulu - So sorry that this wasn't your cycle - that the next one is - my thoughts are with you both.
Blizz - sounding good - hope it just gets stronger!
Hi to everone else!
Not much happening here - I am trying not to think about anything to much - had my progesterone BT this morning, but other than that - trying to ignore my head as much as possible - I still have 13 days to go!!
Who is next for a BT? - Carla and Deni? - best of luck :crossfingers:
Hope everyone has a nice day - stay sane girls
:)
-
Hi everyone, I am new to this thread and hope I am in the right place. I am not doing IVF, but am on ovulation induction due to PCOS. This is our fifth try and I am officially on the TWW (AF due on 8/3/8). BB are sore, but I know that is a reaction to the trigger shot of pregnyl that I've had earlier this week. I've been reading through the thread and it has been so nice hearing some of the positive news. Here's hoping that all of us will have something to smile about over the next couple of weeks.
I find that this time is the worst. I keep catching myself touching my BB to make sure that they are still sore! So not appropriate in public! I think that I am the Queen of imaginery symptoms, so please excuse me over the next couple of weeks if I start doing your heads in.
Best of luck ladies
Me 36 :heartbeat: DH 29
TTC since May 2007

Hi Janey and Welcome to the looney bin!!!
Dotn worry about sounding silly about your symptons....read back and you will see we are all as silly...especially me..... I think I have scared all the girls with my freak outs!!!! Its a hard time but being in here certainly helps.
-
Hi Janie, welcome and best of luck this cycle!
Dellydoo, :cryinglaugh: at your ninya talk!
Carla - :SAAF: :SAAF: hope it's just spotting for you!!
I have a bit of AF feelings today, no cramps just a bit of "heaviness".. but AF definately wont be here at least for a few days, I had a pregnyl injection yesterday which will blow AF away from me for awhile. :SAAF:
have a good day everyone.. weekend is almost here!
