Hi Delly and thanks - I have been thanking the Universe a lot lately!
Does anybody know whether you are able to work as a vet nurse while pregnant?
Are there any issues? (other than the risk of Toxoplasmosis in cat poo)
Delly - just remember your mantra!! I will keep everything crossed for you!
-
Congratulations DEni Im s so so happy for you. I often peak in here to get some inspiration. Well scientist phoned today and out of 17 eggs only 5 fertilized well. 3 didnt at all and the rest were either immature or abnormal. Im a little scared now that they wont make it to blastie stage and I wont have any in reserve!! I just want to be on the TTW which will only be 10 days in total........:pray::pray::pray:

Hi Coll - I had 19 collected and 3 discarded and 5 fertilized successfully - find out the grading of your embies - apparently that is really importannt.
God Luck sugar

Just popped in to check on Deni ..... Yay, yay, yay!!! Congratulations!!! Aren't you glad now that you proceeded with the IVF route eh!!
ATT - yay to you to on the new career path. There will be no real issues towork as vet nurse if you are pg. I am a vet myself and worked right through my DS pregnancy. Just where gloves anywhere near cat poo , don't take xrays and care around anaesthetic machines etc. I hope you really enjoy the work, its a great profession (just very, very underpaid I'm afraid to say!)
Collo - crossing fingers for great embies tomorrow. Remember, it only takes one - just look at our friend Deni!
Speaking of vet clinics, I worked tonight at a new clinic I have recently started at. Doing only 1 night a week and some weekend work (can't bear to be away from DS any more than that atm). has been a bit stressful being somewhere new and not knowing where everything is but was good to take my mind of the damn TWW!
-
Deni, I am so happy for you, well done hun! That embie did bloody good job I'd say!
ATT, congrats on your new profession. Good on you for changing to sth you really love. 3 days a week sounds great. I think you will be very relaxed while you TTC, it will be a good balance...take whatever the good fortunate present to you and enjoy it, you totally deserve it hun!
Isn't that funny sometimes TTC also affect our decision on career. I did the same thing, resigned from my full time job and thinking of just contracting or doing a bit consulting work and be flexible, ie doing 3 days a week, but unfortunately work has been flooding in and I am still working 5 days a week at the moment. I think I will have to say 'no' after Easter...but I do like the flexibility of 'me controling the work', I am just being a bit greedy at the moment after our stim cycle...at least I can accumulating some cash for the next round...
Collo, hope you will soon have a great fert report and all is well!
Wish everyone else a great week!

Thanks for all the congrats girls! I still feel weird about it all - as in, is it really happening?!?!?!
Delly - :SAAF: :SAAF: - I got AF feelings too so I'm hoping you'll get a bfp - good luck with your POAS !!!
ATT - sounds fantastic, a career change!! I've been floundering about for the past 3 years, thinking I want to do something different, but becuase I wanted to start a family, have just kept putting it off!!! Also, I have NO CLUE of what I'd like to do next. I'm an occupational therapist and always thought I would have a change at some point.. just don't know what's next! I'm hoping inspiration will come to me soon!! All the best with your change!!
Collo - remember you only need 1 in the end - I was really worried when I only got 1 egg collected - the plan was originally to wait for blastie but they did a day 3 transfer because I only had 1 - I really hope your 5 end up as beautiful blasties!!! :goodluck: - hope to see you in the TWW very soon!!
Delly was your BT tomorrow? I remember someone's was Wednesday. :crossfingers: :crossfingers:
-
WOW ... hi there Sharon ... a HUGE :happyforyou: CONGRATULATIONS on your BFP. I've just come snooping for some familiar names in the LTTTC (as this is probably where I should be by now) and BAM ... your great news was up in lights.
Good luck for the weeks and months ahead. Hope to join you soon.

Hi Girls!
Thanks for all the kind words and well wishes regarding my new career, as I am due to start next week - it should keep me busy for the last of my TWW.
Thanks Meredith for the feedback on what to be aware of - I know the pay isn't great, but I am sure I am going to love it!
Deni - How is your Aunt holding up?
Delly - Did you POAS yet?
Collo - Hope you get a fantastic result and all 5 make it to Blastie stage.
Who is next to test?
Hope everyone has a fantastic day!
-
Hi All - POAS = BFN this morning but AF still not arrived. Not sure if I should be holding out any hope. Bit down (had to do the whole thing with DP on speaker phone as he is in Melbourne!). The stopped crying and walked the dog and a bird shat on my head - I am not kidding. I feel like pond scum!
Today is another day!

Hi girls
Hope you don't mind if I join in. After 2 failed stim cycles i'm finally able to join you all after a successful natural cycle. This is also my first time to have a transfer so no matter what the outcome we've come further this time than ever before. My BT is scheduled for Thursday 6th March so I guess i'm almost halfway through the wait. :)
Can anyone tell me is it normal to have AF type pains yet have no sign of her? My FS told me implantation would take place yesterday or today but Monday night I had serious AF type pains and yet nothing. Is this normal? My transfer was last Thursday. No sign of implantation spotting either. Sorry TMI, I know.
I hope you're all well and I have my fingers crossed and I'm :pray:ing for all of you.
Dellydoo, I remember you from a previous LTTTC thread. Don't give up hope yet.

Hi Mon - that is awesome news that you have got to transfer - :stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy: for you sweetheart.
Not giving up hope - am giving up walking the dog without protective headgear!:p
-
ATT - well done honey - God I would love to work Part Time - good on you for following your dreams
SP - those 12 days will fly by - pg vibes to you!'

Delly, crossing evrything for you that POAS was false negative. When is your BT?
Deni - hope you are still floating on cloud 9. Enjoy every minute of your miraculous pregnancy!
ATT - Best of luck for next week. I am sure you will love the job. I went part time after 2nd m/c and it was the best thing ever. just to hard to work full time and go through AC and stay vaguely sane!
SP - just trying to pass the days like you. they drag eh?
Mon - welcome and congrats on getting to ET. Are you on pessaries? They seem to cause cramping in a lot of women.
I am having similar issues at present and just hoping its the pessaries or early sign of pg. I know I had a bit with DS but can't remember when or how bad.
Like Mon, I am having a lot of cramping today and feeling generally cruddy. AF should be 5 days away yet so praying its not her but feels a bit like my last cycle (BFN). My belly is also sore from the daily clexane injections and i Just feel like I haven't got the energy to deal with all this atm. I know I am whinging but cripes, i just want to be pg, not go through all this trauma EVERY MONTH FOR NOTHING!! Sorry guys just one of those days today.
-
Meredith and Mon, this cycle felt just like any other cycle for me too. I got AF cramping a few days before my final BT. Don't give up hope yet! Nurse said AF cramping is very normal.
Rachel - OMG great to see you!! I haven't seen you in AAGGES!!! Thanks for checking in. Really hope to see you with a BFP very very soon! :bluedust:
ATT - thanks for asking, I visited my aunt again tonight, she truly is amazing. She's in pain but she's looking quite perky and is very matter-of-fact about her leg (she threw the sheet off to show us all) -I hope she isn't grieving silently and not telling anyone.. but she certainly gets heaps of visitors.. she'll be moved to a rehab hospital hopefully in a week or two.
Delly, sorry about yoru POAS bfn. There's still time for that hcg to kick in ... I reckon bird ****ting on your head is a SIGN of good things to come!!!! (it's considered very lucky in asian countries, after all !!)
Salt, hope the TWW flies by for you with that BFP at the end :crossfingers:
:bluedust: to everyone!
-
Morning fellow TWWers
Deni - Glad to hear that your Aunt is recovering, I'm sure that it will take some time to deal with all this issues associated, but she sure sounds like a fighter! How are you feeling? Any morning sickness?
Delly - I am hoping like crazy that it was a defective POAS, or that it was just too early. Remember that it aint over until the old witch shows her face.
Meredith - I can't wait to get in there and start, I'm sure it will help the last of my TWW fly.
Mon - Welcome, we have the same test day - lets hope it's a great one!
Salt - Sounds like you have an extra long TWW too - mine was 17 days, but down to 7 now! Hope its the last one you need to do until you are ready for a sibling!
As for me - I have some AF type pains today and I am beginning to lose it a little. The first week or so isn't so bad, but when you get down to the last week - you realise that it's only a matter of time before you know (one way or another). Hopefully I can keep busy and POAS day will be here before I know it.
Who is the next to BT - Delly do you have a BT or are you just supposed to POAS?
:bluedust: to all!
Have a great day!:D
-
Hi All
TWW is definately over - AF has arrived to day with a vengeance. Feeling OK but getting violent cramps. I think she tried to hold on but no good. Good luck to everyone - I think Karma in the universe means that there will be lots of BFPs for you all:bluedust:
Have contacted FS and we are going to try again next cycle!
Thank you for all your support - I will be lurking to hear good news!
Hugs

Oh Delly I am so sorry to hear that.
Best of luck with your next cycle :goodluck:, hope its the one!
Hope the cramping eases off - a nice big glass of wine is sure to help!
