Morning ladies - Saph I hope today you have beautiful doubling numbers.
Wavegirl - how you feeling this morning??

AFM - going nuts - I bought a thermometer and seriously wish I hadn't. I took my temp first thing yesterday morning and it was 36.8, then I took it again this morning and it was 36.5, THEN, I jumped on line and it said normal temp is 37 so I am thoroughly confused. Boobs are swollen and tender and all feels OK - should abandon the thermometer?????

Dellydoo - I think with checking boobs, cramps, stabs, cm, hpts, opks, and everything else, you could probably do without the thermometer. I have one in my bedside table and stopped using it when we started IVF. The charting drove me insane, and obviously was fruitless in TTC anyway. I haven't started charting my temps again because I figured it would just give me something else to analyse incessantly. Throw it away girl!

Saph - thinking of you today, all the best for billions of numbers.

Hope everyone else is doing okay.

AFM - feeling some slight stabs in my LHS which is almost like a burning sensation, but I then start to analyse them (!) and they go away. Stupid TWW.

    Have a good day Ladies,

    Morning girls.

Saph - just wanted to send you positive vibes and good luck for the BT today. Can't wait to hear the results.

Wavegirl - CONGRATS!!! I'm so happy for you. I can't even imagine how it must have felt to get that phone call from the nurse. How exciting.

Seph - I know how you feel. I'm so sick of over analysing every little thing I feel in my body at the moment. Hang in there.

AFM - Still not sure how to read my body right now. Feeling slight cramps and a dull ache in my abdomen that I get with AF. But Wavegirl's early pregnancy symptoms have given me a bit of hope that maybe it's not over yet. I am 12dpo today, and haven't had any spotting (yet). Two days to go til BT on Friday.

    Wishes xoxo

Dellydoo, I think your temperature varies during the day. For TTC you're supposed to record your BBT (basal body temperature) immediately after you wake up. That's a resting temperature. Mine is normally between 36.0 & 36.5 before O and between 36.5 and 37.0 after O. But it took me a few months of charting to really get a feel for what my normal temperatures are. After getting up and moving around your temperature would normally increase and be more like the 37 you mentioned. Realistically, your temps don't mean anything during IVF because they are affected by the meds. But I did chart (out of curiosity) for my 2nd IVF a couple of months ago - use the link in my signature if you're interested in having a look. Try not to let the temps mess with your head, they probably don't mean anything right now.

    impact of crinone on af

    Hi All,

I am a newbie to this so may not have all the lingo. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if crinone delays af or masks the usual symptoms. I don't feel any pms symptoms and don't know if this is a good thing or whether it's just the effects of the crinone.

I had my pg test this am and will know the results soon anyway but would appreciate any info as this morning is taking forever!

    Cheers and thanks

    2WW - final blood test 7 Aug 09

Hi there, I am new to this site (not sure I'm using it right) but I'm currently on my 2nd IVF/ICSI and in the dreaded 2WW. I had one Grade 1 blast transferred last Sunday and of course I'm waiting for a sign, overanalysing. I'm really hoping this is the one because this journey is so painful! DH and I decided we would do 10 transfers and this is only the third, so a long way to go yet. But I am really hoping this is it, because it is such a hard process. I am lucky enough to have a 2 yo DS conceived naturally, first try (go figure) and have been trying for about 18 mths for our second. I had a ectopic last July which was very traumatic. Then after that my DH got epididymitis which has damaged his sperm count and now he only produces less than 5million/ml, so natural conception is really no longer an option for us. I feel traumatised and defeated, but am trying to look at the positives.

Anyone currently in an IVF cycle or dreaded 2WW?

Just wanted to thank you all for your kind thoughts, give my very best to those in the TWW (it's a bit quiet in here at the moment!) and wish everyone luck in getting their deserved and longed-for BFPs.

JVol - Welcome. I'm not in the TWW yet, but should be in the next couple of weeks. I had an IVF/ICSI transfer in June resulting in a BFN, so am just about to start a FET. I started blood test tracking yesterday and expect to ovulate sometime next week (not sure when - my body does what it wants). I'll be transferring 2 embies this time around and am really hoping at least one sticks!!

Good luck in your TWW. Hope you get your BFP at the end of it.

    Wishes xoxo

Hi JVol, I'm currently in my tww - I actually have my blood test tomorrow, but I'm not hopeful as I don't seem to have any symptoms (apart from a cold which is going round at the moment) and I'm getting AF cramping so I'm expecting that any minute... finding it hard to stay positive!

Hoping for something to happen, though, as we've limited ourselves to four rounds of IVF and unfortunately we didn't have anything of good enough quality to freeze. Not looking forward to doing another round with all the stress... I really take my hat off to all of you who have been through a number of rounds!
