hello ladies......going somewhat crazy here, but will get to that at the end.
Firstly a few personals
Coral- I am so happy for you:dance:that is such fabulous news
Meg- ((hugs)) its monday your not meant to have a good day on a monday. The second week is far harder than the first IMO
airline- have a fab time away & GL with your POAS.
star-bright- ((hugs)) hope tomorrow is better for you
Baby2bee- I like the idea of no ironing personally, I cut my fingers quite badly once and dr told me no washing dishes.....dh offered to go buy me some rubber gloves:rolleyes:
London Miss- huge hugs going out to you
Mel- huge ((hugs)) for you too hun, Im sorry
Leabie- welcome aboard
I know Ive missed some, so sorry girls I hope all is well for you & ((hugs)) for those who need them
AFM- OK now me. Was having a pretty good day, I handed in my resignation at work and got to annouce to all that I have this fabulous new job that im going too.
Then *warning TMI* when I got home I went to the loo and found blood, not tonnes but some on the loo-paper and every time I wiped there was more, and its bright red. Now I have been madly googling and now Im even more confused, most sites say implantaion bleeding is pink-brownish some say bright red. All say around this time. I am 10dp epu, 6dp et (dont ya love the way we get to talk in code around here? lol)
Maybe its the start of AF?? Sometimes previously I have spotted for many days before AF has arrived, but from memory (isnt it funny how our memory fades when desperaly needed?) Im sure its a darker? but then maybe not.......oh this is making me totally crazy:doh:
-
MelTTC - I'm so sorry that AF turned up, its great that you're being proactive though and already planning for your next cycle.
Terry - so sorry to hear :(
Tracy - fingers crossed its implantation bleeding. Google can be your best friend and your worst enemy, can't it?! Just remember everyone is different. The timing seems right for implantation?
Coral73 - brilliant news, congratulations!! Hope you and DH have a wonderful night celebrating. Am even more inspired by joining this thread, a BFP already!
Airline - good luck if you POAS tomorrow. Think I'm going to as well, FF chart tells me to, how can I disobey?!
Good luck to everyone who's still waiting! :bluedust::pink-babydust: Thanks for welcoming me to the group.
Cheers,
Lea.

ok ok got a confession. was just looking at all the 'stickies' on these forums, and saw the 'empty arms broken hearts' again. it's the 3rd time I've seen it, and I well up every time. DH isn't home and would just shake his head if he knew i'd looked at it, but I couldn't help it.
My question is, does anyone know if susan robinson who created it was blessed with the children she so wanted eventually?
-
I know we've discussed this four gazillion times before but how long does puregon stay in your system? If you do a top up every fourth day, would it be reasonable to say 4 days? I'm fighting off the temptation to do a POAS, solely to get a puregon line and feel happy  what a dumbo.
new favourite phrase is PUPO - pregnant until proven otherwise.
-
Just dropping in to let you girls know I'm still here, am lurking away ATM, next 2 days going to be a struggle to get through I think X
Loved the PUPO coment LM X
Take care ladies XXXX
Goodluck to those testing tomorrow XXX

Morning Ladies!
Thank you LondonMiss, Star~Bright, Baby2Bee, airline, lise, Meg76, Tracy and Leabie.... Thank you so much ladies :grouphug:!
Star~Bright - I can definitely relate to having a 'I'm not UTD day' and that was why I POAS'd in the 1st place! Was so convinced that it would be a negative that I just wanted to put myself out of my misery! Hope you are feeling better and more confident today and sending you lots and lots of :stickyvibesgirl:!
Airline - Good Luck if you decide to POAS either today or tomorrow...'ing that those magic two little lines appear! Sorry, I can't help your with you question regarding susan robinson, however, am praying that her dreams have come true..
Meg76 - After reading you post... your symptoms sound a little similar to mine so try not to get too discouraged! I hope you are feeling better today and also sending you lots and lots of :stickyvibesgirl:!
Meg76/ LondonMiss - It could be double trouble, he, he! I should know more on Friday as having another BT to read Hcg levels....I will post and let you all know if it is looking like a singleton or twins!
Tracy - Congratulations on the job! That is fantastic news - yay! So happy for you! I have read the same as you where girls have had either pink, brown or actual red... I am so 'ing for you that it is implantation bleeding!
Leabie - You will not be able to live without BB as it becomes so addictive, he, he! As I mentioned, I don't think that I could have gotten through all this without all the support of the ladies on here! Sending you lots and lots of :stickyvibesgirl:!
LondonMiss & Meg76 - This one is for you girls (and everyone else of course)! As this was my main concern, I googled this question for hours on the web! This was the most useful information I found out (and it was in mentioned on several different web pages):
'HCG has a half life of 33 hrs.....so every 33 hrs half of what is left is gone. This is based on "average" metabolism.'
eg. 10,000 units would turn to 5,000 units 33hrs later and so on... (I would add another 33hrs once you get to '0 left in your system' just in case to well and truley make sure that you are in the clear!)
Murraycod - Good Luck :goodluck: for the next couple of days! I am so praying that it will be a BFP for you!
Wishing everyone the best of luck and sending out lots and lots of :bluedust: to all! I will keep a close eye out and hope to see more BFP's come rolling in!
-
Coral congratulations my darling, Im so glad your dreams have come true X

Murray cod- I'm so so sorry. Big hugs to you.

Star~bright - I think that it is possible that you may not show up a postive yet.... I'll be keeping my :crossfingers: for you....

Hi Ladies,
Just thought that I would do a separate post as to the things that I have done differently this cycle... I picked up these hints from all the posts on BB mentioning ways to improve your success rate:
DH - low count, poor motility & morphology
- Weekly Acupuncture leading up to the EPU
- 2 x Chinese Herbal Tablets p/day purchased from Acupuncturist
- A handful of pumpkin seeds p/day
- 1 x Menevit Tablet p/day
- Drank a glass of orange juice a day
- No alcohol
- No softdrinks (unless sugarfree)
- No caffeine
- Drank more water (he never used to drank any!)
- Cut out all refined sugars (no choc, lollies or pies etc)
- Ate more vegies
We did see a better quality in his motility (or it could have been the morphology) from 50% to 75%. His sperm count did not increase at all and stayed at 2million.
AFM - No known infertility (Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy done)
- Weekly Acupuncture leading up to the EPU
- Acupuncture before and after transfer
- No alcohol
- No caffeine (no coffee/ tea or chocolate or coke etc) - decaf ok
- Cut out all refined sugars (no choc, lollies or pies etc)
- Ate more vegies
- Ate an orange a day as well as honey on cereal
- Ate nuts everyday
- Weekly counselling appointment to help keep stress levels down
- DTD the night before the transfer
- Ate full fat diary products instead of low fat (this is good for ovary health)
* We did this routine from the begining of my stim cycle (from when I started taking the pill).
I am not sure if doing any of the above contributed to the BFP in anyway, but you just never know......, Coral :grouphug:.
-
My goodness Coral, you and DH are bloody fabulous!!! If you want it badly enough, you'll do what you have to do!!! Quick question, I've heard you drink TOO much water??? How much were you aiming for each day?
-
Hi Baby2Bee,
DH never used to drink any water at all (so bad!). All he drank was soft drink or flavoured milk, cordial or alcohol! He stopped drinking soft drink at work (and he is a tradesman!) and switched to water so about a 1 1/2 litres p/day.
I never really drank anything but water (except for tea/ coffee) so probably around 2-3 litres p/day :).
-
sounds exactly the same as my dH!!!! hahahaha thanks Coral!!
-
Just a quickie for me too as I shouldnt be here
Murraycod- I am so sorry to read your news, massive ((hugs))
AFM- bleeding has slowed now to yucky scrappy brown. I caved and POAS this morning too, even tho I knoew I shouldnt have & got BFN
-
-
Murraycod, starbright and tracy - I'm so sorry to hear of your bad news. :grouphug: I hope you are as ok as you can be x
MC - I'm sorry that you're out until Jan. Keep in touch won't you, as we're pretty much at the same point in this horrid battle.
Coral - your list is really interesting. I've cut out caffeine this cycle and trying to drink even more water. My nutrionist has got me taking an omega rich oil on my salad everyday, she says it seems to work. Funny, I've also switched to full fat milk too. I've cut down alcohol to the pregnancy limits and am eating more protein. I wonder if any of it works... maybe just stress management is the answer! we'll never know I suppose!!
very very very best wishes for the next 8 months
:loveshower: for us all x
