Morning girls,
Sorry, just a quick one as I don't have much time at all (no time for personals unfortunately).
I have a question to ask of you all, to get an idea of your advice, personal experiences etc.
I had my ET on Saturday and had 2 embies transferred. Then yesterday, I had the day from hell. I had to go into the clinic for a routine blood test to check progesterone levels. When I was in with the nurse, I started getting saliva build up in my mouth (like just before you're about the throw up). I didn't throw up though, and I left the clinic. While driving home though, I couldn't hold it in and I actually threw up in the car (it was just disgusting - I couldn't believe it). So I threw up twice in the car, then twice when I got home, and to top it all off, I had the most excruciating abdominal pain too. It was right down low near my ovary on the right side (nothing on the left, just on the right side). So I was basically bed-ridden all day. I threw up again later in the morning, also in the afternoon, and then again just before I went to bed last night. To put this in perspective, I never vomit and I can't even remember the last time it happened (before yesterday).
I called my nurse yesterday morning and her opinion was that the stomach cramping is probably due to the pessaries, and the vomiting could be a 24hr bug that I picked up (apparently FS was not feeling well on Sat when she did the transfer so maybe I got it from her, I don't know). In a way, I was getting excited because I thought it might be pregnancy related vomiting (yesterday was 7dpo and only 2 days past my 5 day transfer), but I thought that it was probably too early for that. I really cannot explain the abdominal pain though. I know the nurse said it' s probably the pessaries, but it was in such a specific spot (ie. not all over my stomach, just on the right side near ovary). Nurse also said I could be feeling off because my progesterone is so high. The blood test from yesterday showed my progesterone level as 311 which is the highest I've ever had. On Thursday last week (which was 3dpo and before even starting pessaries), progesterone was 118.
So after all that, my question is that if my vomiting and pain yesterday was not pregnancy related, what do you think the chances are that the vomiting will have a negative effect on this transfer working? I took my temp yesterday too and it was 36.9 which is not out of the ordinary for me (as I was worried about a fever and having a high body temp). But nurse said I should only worry if it's up around 39 or 40 degrees. I'm just a little worried that my chances of falling pregnant are less now because of what happened yesterday. Oh, and today I seem to be feeling fine.
Sorry for the long post (it didn't end up being quick at all did it?). I just really need some advice.
Thanks
Wishes xoxo

Motherhood well done on the transfer!! All the best.
Here's my vent for the cycle......did a really naughty thing 7dpt (today I'm 10dpt) and it was a beautiful, dark BFP. Of course i've tested every day since and it's faded away to nothing today!!! (yesterday and sunday were light bfp). I am so P#*#$*&ed off!!!!! This has happened in all 3 cycles of IVF for me. Positives and then nothing!!! I have been on a HRT cycle for all 3 frozen et's so these drugs don't give you 'pregnancy symptoms'. Why won't these suckers stick!!!!! I'm really over it today and have been a real ***** to DH this morning. At this point in time though I don't really give a damn. My final BT is this Saturday and we have a meeting with FS next Tuesday 17th at which point i'm sure we'll be asked to do a fresh transfer (couldn't do fresh las pickup because we had 24 eggs collected). This also annoys me because I've given up alcohol, almost given up coffee, accupuncture etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc and DH has done nothing!!!! His swimmers aren't brilliant and all I've asked him to take is Menevit and he still hasn't done it!!! I'm bloody furious with him!!!...........oh hold that thought! DH has just called me to see if i'm alright and he told me he took a menevit last night!!! whooopdy do!!! that'll do soooo much!!! that's set me off balling my stinking eyes out at work!! thank goodness nobody is in the office yet!! arrrrrgggghhhhhh!!!!!!
anyway sorry girls!! I've had to get this off my chest. Hope everyone is doing ok!
-
baby2bee - oh my dear I'm sorry you're feeling so frustrated and damned p***** off. Totally understandable though. I hope you and DH get to have a chat this evening. Maybe he'll snap into shape once he's realised how you're feeling.
wishes - can't give any advice on why you were so sick, but very possibly could've been 24 hour bug esp. if you're a better today. still rest as much as poss...hugs.
motherhood - excellent news and congratulations m'dear!!!!

Londonmiss and Coral...how are you both travelling??

Good Afternoon Ladies,
Firstly, I would like to say a big thank you for all the well wishes you ladies have been sending.... I can tell you I have needed everyone of them :grouphug:!
nicoled, Motherhood here i come - So exciting... Welcome to the 2WW and sending you lots and lots of stickyvibes and praying that this will be both of your months for a BFP!
mitf - Thank you so , so much for you post . It was so good reading about a similar situation (not that I wish that on anyone of course). I am trying to let it go and relax as I'm sure it can't be any good for my situation.... it is much easier said than done. Work is completely hectic at the moment so really stressed from that as well! I have booked back into acupuncture for tomorrow night as I so need it to help with the stress levels!
I am also happy to pay for the pesseries even if they are expensive! Can I ask what pesseries you are on... is it crinone or the waxy pellet ones ?
jodz - You are a life saver also! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your post ! You have made me and DH feel allot better about the situation and given us some hope - yay! Can I ask what pesseries you were on also... was it crinone or the waxy pellet ones?
airline - I don't get the printout from the Doc about my BT's. I think from all of my experience in 'googling' about beta numbers lately that you look good to me! The biggest indication that I came accross in multiple sites was that more importance is placed on the level doubling every 48hrs rather than the number you started off at. In fact, you started at 86 which is in the 80 - 100 range they like you to be in for a first beta. From looking at posts of people's beta's on the web, numbers tend to just double to start with and then they start to almost triple as things move along in your weeks... I am confident that your numbers seem ok event though I am not a doctor ! When is your next BT?
entreat - Again, thank you, thank you, thank you for your post !! It means so much to be able to see other people who are/ have been in a similar situation and know that things do work out! Unfortunately, no late snack for me though! I so pray that I move along a nicely as you!
LondonMiss - Did you get my PM? I hope you are ok and the BT results came back with some good news!'ing that everything went well!
AFM - Trying not worry too much about things! I had some pretty strong cramping for about 2hrs today which totally freaked me out as there were a few sharp pains in there as well every once in awhile. I so have to stop stressing about everything and work as cramps seem to start when I get really stressed out! I swear I am my own worst enamy sometimes and am stressing about having stressed so much!! Cramping seems to almost have stopped this arvo though... I have my BT booked in for Thursday so :crossfingers: that Hcg doubles well and progesterone doesn't fall anymore. I started the pesseries last night so hopefully that will help. I was told to book in for a scan which I have done for Monday, 23 November and I am just 'ing I make it and that there is a nice strong heartbeat!

Glad we can put your mind at rest. I'm sure you'll be fine. :)
I'm on the waxy 'bullets'. You'll want to stock up on panty liners! ;)
-
Thank you all for the lovely messages - I've got my blood test tomorrow morning and I'm beginning to get nervous. Thank you Coral for that fantastic website - really put my mind at rest. I feel pregnant - so not sure how nervous I should be. My boobs are just untouchable, I feel sick, I am shattered. But I am trying trying trying not to get too excited in case it is not a 'good' one. So until tomorrow, I'm just a gibbering wreck.
Most unusually I'm out every night this week, thankfully with different people, so every night, I'm saying that I'm off the booze as I was out on a bender last night. Worryingly, no one has questioned this! Oh dear....
Sorry for the lack of personals, I hope you are all well and I will write a better one tomorrow once I have news (and DH is at work and not peering over my shoulder in a most irritating fashion!) x
-
entreat - Me too... and thanks for the heads up on the panty liners, he, he! Sorry Ladies TMI !
wishes - Apologies... I did not reply to your post . I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better today:). I think that you will be ok and that the vomiting will not have done anything to stop this cycle from working.... I was just thinking of all the ladies out there who have gone out and drunken themselves stupid around the same time and woke up with bad hangovers throwing up all morning and still got pregnant!'ing that this will be your turn for a BFP!
Baby2Bee - Apologies also for not acknolwedging your post . I am so sorry that you are having a hard time of things and big  to you. I don't think that I have seen that happenig before especially with no Hcg trigger shots involved. Have you spoken with your FS about it?
I know how you feel about all the sacrifices we have to make! It can be so frustrating at times and it is allot easier on our DH's.... I hope you are feeling better this afternoon .
-
LondonMiss - Sorry I have gotten my days confused as I have so much on my mind ! GOOD LUCK :goodluck: for the BT tomorrow!

Coral 73,
You are welcome....I had great support in here when I was going thru my cycles so I am glad to help. Very happy I can give you some hope. With regards to your question I was on the waxy pellet progesterone pessaries. They seemed to work better for me....but it was a test each cycle which eventually got me over the line. The winning cycle I took 2 in the morning, one at lunch and two at night to keep my levels up. Which wasn't very pleasant at times ;) but we do what we have to. It is all a bit of luck and that strong embryo that wants to do it's thing.
Good luck with your next BT
Jodz xx

LondonMiss - Good luck tomorrow. I look forward to hearing the great news. The sore boobs sounds very promising!
Coral - I sent you a PM but i forgot to mention that I am on the waxy bullets as well @ $90 a jar! TMI waring.... I do them rectally which isn't as bad as it sounds. You don't get as much leakage so you get a higher absorption and I actually find it cleaner. I started on them the other way first but the clinic asked me to change after my Prog levels weren't rising enough.
Wishes - sent you a PM also. Good luck. Now that coral has mentioned it, there has to have been plenty of party animals who didn't know they were preg but their little one has pulled through.
Jodz - thanks for sharing your story. I am not too stressed about the whole thing. Hopefully I can go off the pesseries soon but if not so be it. Will do what ever I have to do to get this little one across the line.
All the best to everyone else waiting. I hope you are managing to keep sane and i hope to see some more BFP action soon.
mitf xo

Question?
Morning All,
Just have a question for you all. This is my first ET/2ww and so dont know what to expect symptom wise. So at approx 5.30pm Mon afternoon I had my ET. We transferred one day 6 Blastocyst which had completely hatched out of its shell :). Mon night was ok and yesterday was ok too but yesterday arvo noticed i was a little achey across my lower abdomen. I took as instructed my last lot of 1500 units Pregnyal last night and today am a little achey again. Does this sound right???? Oh forgot to mention that I felt a little kind of dizzy this morning both before and after breakfast. Am I being paranoid and super sensitive to my feelings or are these things something along the lines of what to expect? My thinking is that its too early for implantation isnt it????
Hope you guys can help put my mind at ease.
-
Morning Motherhood! From 2 days after transfer I normally get cramping (like AF is coming) and stiches - You will be supersenstitive to your body at the moment.....you'll feel every twinge etc etc. I was even googling itchy ankles as a symptom of pregnancy!!!!hahahahahahaha I'm a loser!! Best of Luck for you and DH!!!
-
Right, I am sorry that I've been so remiss with responses recently, I'm going back to page 15. Consider normal service resumed!
Sunflower Girl - so sorry to hear your news. Big hugs to you and DH - I know it's a horrid time. I agree, time to ditch the FS - hope the next one steps up to the mark. I also keep a diary and find it invaluable in remembering what days I POAS and so on. It's excellent for making you less mental during the horrid TWW.
Coral - good luck with the pessaries - where ever you are putting them
Terry - hope the scan went well and many thanks for the good luck. Hopefully it has worked!
Nicole - welcome to the TWW thread. There's loads of info in here, so I hope it helps.
Goldilocks - hello! it's very odd seeing yourself being quoted! Always nice to find another Pom. Hope you are doing better in this heat than me!
Entreat, Airline and Jodz - thanks for the reassurances on the figures. I'm finding the numbers very confusing - it seems that the range is vast... oh well. I'm just praying that mines gone up. I should get the results two ish, so I'm going to go for a swim in a moment to try and make the time pass.
Motherhood - very best wishes with your ET. Hope it all goes well and your symptoms are easy to identify!
Wishes - I'm sure you are already over your concern, but I hope that you are ok if your temperature didn't get that high. Hope it is all ok. x
Baby2bee - my goodness, if only it took one pill!!! Tell him something else will stop if he ceases to take his pills IYKWIM and then see how it goes!! My DH's idea of responsible drinking has been that he now has a glass of water after drinking several glasses of wine... oh dear. I wish you better luck than I had ...
Anyone else, I'm sorry I have missed you out and I hope you are travelling well. I am feeling very very sick unless I eat something early on (not that I am complaining, I hasten to add), cannot keep my eyes open past 9pm. DH curled up round me last and put his hand round my boobs and I could have stabbed him in the eye - my nipples are really very painful....which is probably TMI! I just hope it's ok...
lots of :bluedust::pink-babydust::stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy: for us all x
-
LondonMiss sorry did I miss something......wasn't your blood test yesterday??? Those symptoms are sounding VERY promising!!!! Best of luck!!!!
AFM rang the clinic today and have had my BT moved to this Friday (was Saturday) to confirm it's all over red rover!! I've got a meeting next Tuesday 14th with FS and the nurse has mentioned that we'll probably go in and try for an EPU with a FRESH transfer......i wonder if this will make a difference!!!
GL to all!!!! STICK STICK STICK!!!!
-
Today! Just waiting now.. my third pregnancy test. Yeesh..
hopefully fresh will this time ..... if it's better for veggies, then it might be better for babies!!!!
very very very best of luck
-
OH BEST OF BEST OF LUCK!!!!! I've got everything crossed for you!!!!!!!
