Londonmiss - that's great news for you. Now you can feel like you're doing something while you wait for IVF. Fingers crossed this last IUI does the trick!!

I got the blood test back on Monday afternoon, it was a BFN. To be told on Friday that I was pg and then that I had a chemical pregnancy only on Monday was devestating. I am heart broken. I know that I need to get up, dust myself off and have another go but I feel so fragile I might break.

impish73 - I have been lurking and not posting in this thread and just had to offer you some big hugs . I am so, so, sorry that you are feeling so down at the moment and I can't even imagine to begin how terrible you are feeling.

I wish you all the luck in the world for your next attempt and that it brings you your long awaited BFP.

Impish - I am so sorry to hear about your BFN. I had a similar experience on my first IVF cycle. My thoughts are with you. I hope you are feeling better soon.... there is light at the end of the tunnel. I hope it is not long till you can rejoice in that sticky little BFP.

I'm so sorry Impish. I had that with my first transfer too. I was devestated. Take your time & grieve as you need to.

Personally, I hate the term 'chemical pregnancy' because it gives the impression that it was all hormonal & not real. It was real, it just didn't have a heartbeat yet.

    ((hugs))

Impish: Give yourself a chance to feel sad, you are entitled. You can pick yourself up in a few days. It is devastating emotionally and you need to allow yourself some time.

    Unhappy

Impish - I'm so sorry. I also hate the c.p. phrase. It hardly covers the importance to the woman it happened to. If you need extra love and slobberly face licks, I have a labrador you can borrow for a week or two. She always kisses me when I cry x

Jayejaye, congrats hun! Very happy for you. Like you and some of the other girls, I also made sure I had a pretty full bladder when I had my FET (I'm almost 17 wks) and I DTD the night before the transfer as someone advised me that it makes the uterus nice and sticky (ie simulating the 'natural way').It worked! Wishing you a very H & H pg hun xx

I'm sorry to the ladies who got BFNs, I really hope it happens for you very soon Keep the faith!

Hiya - apologies if I've delving into the realm of TMI - do you think that works? Is it not a bit yukky for the FS? Can they tell?

I've decided to give acupuncture another go, booked some massages, will be drinking more water and am slashing my caffeine intake before the IUI as well as after... anyone got any other tips to make it more likely? Not that I'm getting a bit neurotic and desparate for it to work. I'm also trying to be v positive!!

Loops and LM - funny you ask that question, cos DH did say when I mentioned that folk seem to be DTD the night before, 'that'd be nice for the doc the next morning!!'
However, he also informed me....you'd think I knew, but I try and block out everything inc. the pain and discomfort, that he using cotton wool and water to TMI warning - Wipe me out and it's due to the progesterone crinone gel that I turkey baste myself with every night.... so maybe no difference!

i definitely think it made a difference, although who knows in reality.....! I figure, the doc has seen it all before, and if it improves the chances then why the hell not!

I think i went the no caffine option this time also cause it was in the IVF newsletter. I'd never really thought of it before. When i asked the FS if it's good to give up stuff when you're doing a cycle, he said that you shouldnt change much because you dont want to put your body under additional stress. But i though i'd try it anyway.

I did however keep walking and going to the gym, but on the day of transfer did nothing.

beata - i remember you from last cycle - glad you are going well.

impish - a chemical pregnancy is very hard to handle, i hope you are ok.

sonyalouise - this was a natural cycle for me, so no crinone, nothing. When i did stim cycles and took crinone, it didnt give me sore boobs but i remember having bad headaches.

    - i cant stand POAS! i dont know how you can be addicted, i find it plays with my mind too much if it's BFN. I guess i like being in denial better than being dissapointed!!

Anyway, good luck girls - i know you can all do it!!

    Hi Ladies,

It's finally time for me to join in hear again - I had a day 5 FET today. Thankfully they only had to thaw the one and we still have 2 in the freeze. I am feeling more relaxed about the whole thing this time around. Hopefully it's a sticky little one. Hello to everyone else in the TWW.

Dunno about you guys, but after a shower, I don't have much of 'that' left after i've had a shower... only trace amounts that I'm sure the FS wouldn't notice.

I also think it made a difference & I'm sure it couldn't hurt!

Welcome to the threah mitf. Fingers crossed for your emby - I hope it's a sticky one! And if you believe Jayejaye & myself - you should go DTD now! lol! But seriously...

Hi ladies! I have been lurking for too long now, and thought i'd best join in, considering i'm already 5 or so days into my 2ww! I haven't done any posting on BB since my previous cycle, i think i just needed to clear my head a little and have a break. Anyhoo, now i'm back in the swing of things, and, after plenty of initial anxiety, have had a great stim cycle, and not only do i have a lovely emby on board, we also managed to freeze 4, which is a huge improvement

My blood test is the 23rd Oct, which i think is also the same as sonialouise?

Goodluck to everyone! Enjoy the weekend
