Just popping in quickly
Big congrats Jaye Jaye and all the best
London Miss ~ That's what I was thinking wouldnt it be embarrassing with the FS if dtd before transfer. Can someone answer this? Cheers
Hope everyone is doing ok in here. Goodluck :stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy:
-
Loops and LM - funny you ask that question, cos DH did say when I mentioned that folk seem to be DTD the night before, 'that'd be nice for the doc the next morning!!'
However, he also informed me....you'd think I knew, but I try and block out everything inc. the pain and discomfort, that he using cotton wool and water to TMI warning - Wipe me out and it's due to the progesterone crinone gel that I turkey baste myself with every night.... so maybe no difference!
-
LOL thanks airline
-
i definitely think it made a difference, although who knows in reality.....! I figure, the doc has seen it all before, and if it improves the chances then why the hell not!;)
I think i went the no caffine option this time also cause it was in the IVF newsletter. I'd never really thought of it before. When i asked the FS if it's good to give up stuff when you're doing a cycle, he said that you shouldnt change much because you dont want to put your body under additional stress. But i though i'd try it anyway.
I did however keep walking and going to the gym, but on the day of transfer did nothing.
beata - i remember you from last cycle - glad you are going well.
impish - a chemical pregnancy is very hard to handle, i hope you are ok.
sonyalouise - this was a natural cycle for me, so no crinone, nothing. When i did stim cycles and took crinone, it didnt give me sore boobs but i remember having bad headaches.
emeraldstar - i cant stand POAS! i dont know how you can be addicted, i find it plays with my mind too much if it's BFN. I guess i like being in denial better than being dissapointed!!
Anyway, good luck girls - i know you can all do it!! :goodluck:

Hi Ladies,
It's finally time for me to join in hear again - I had a day 5 FET today. Thankfully they only had to thaw the one and we still have 2 in the freeze. I am feeling more relaxed about the whole thing this time around. Hopefully it's a sticky little one. Hello to everyone else in the TWW.
mitf xo
-
Dunno about you guys, but after a shower, I don't have much of 'that' left after i've had a shower... only trace amounts that I'm sure the FS wouldn't notice.
I also think it made a difference & I'm sure it couldn't hurt!
Welcome to the threah mitf. Fingers crossed for your emby - I hope it's a sticky one! And if you believe Jayejaye & myself - you should go DTD now! lol! But seriously... :stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy:
-
Best get out some decent undies then ;)
-
Hi ladies! I have been lurking for too long now, and thought i'd best join in, considering i'm already 5 or so days into my 2ww! I haven't done any posting on BB since my previous cycle, i think i just needed to clear my head a little and have a break. Anyhoo, now i'm back in the swing of things, and, after plenty of initial anxiety, have had a great stim cycle, and not only do i have a lovely emby on board, we also managed to freeze 4, which is a huge improvement :)
My blood test is the 23rd Oct, which i think is also the same as sonialouise?
Goodluck to everyone! Enjoy the weekend :)
-
Hi ladies,
Just thought I would pop in to say hi.
TereseP- Yes we both have blood test the same day! only 6 days to go. When did you have your transfer? Are you going to POAS before your test?
I am struggling so much with the TWW, while I was going through the ivf cycle I had so much to talk about now I am just waiting, waiting, waiting:wiggle:. The people who know I am doing ivf ask questions and all I can say is I am waiting. It is very interesting how so many people think that because you are doing ivf that you get an instant answer about a BFP after the ET.
I think I have had some signs, but I just don't know if it because of the Crinone. I sure the sore BB are the crinone, I have has slight crampming and aching from time to time. I don't usually get cramping before AF only once it has started. But thats it! Well thats enough rambling from me.
To all those who have had BFP's I hope things are continuing very well for you.
To the ladies who had disappointments this month, I feel for you and wish you the strength to get through the coming months with a positive attitude. I know it is hard.:comfort:
To all the ladies in waiting Good Luck :goodluck:with achieving you BFP this month or the next.

Hi sonia louise! Well, i actually don't have a poas in the house! I figure, if i'm preg, i'm preg, and there's no point poas!! Plus, i think it would play with my mind too much if it came back negative (or positive for that matter) so if i just don't have any in the house, then it will not be sitting in the cupboard calling me to use it :)
I'm hoping 23rd is a lucky day - it is my niece's birthday, and she is such a sweet little one - she drew a picture of a flower, cut it out, and posted it to me a few months ago, it was the best mail i'd had for ages!
Not sure if i've had any 'signs' yet - last night was a restless sleep for me, could feel some pressure in my lower abdomen - my boobs have been a bit tender, but that could be from my last pregnyl injection, and i've had a slight headache each morning for the past 4 or so, and then it goes when i eat breaky :dunno: otherwise, all is 'normal'! I'm starting to feel a bit anxious now, as this is the week it all happens, but just trying to tell myself that what will be will be, and if it's time for me to be a mum, then it will happen, and other than that, i want to be at peace with the result, even if a neg, as i still want to enjoy my life..... ok, starting to get a bit deep here , but it's just the process i've gone through to survive this ttc stuff!!
I've rambled enough now! How many of us are in the tww at the mo? Lets sprinkle some of this around....
:stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy: and try and get through the week!
-
Theresep & SonjaLouise - You guys are a couple of days ahead of me with your BT. I haven't decided if I am going to POAS yet. I will definitely be holding out as long as I can anyway. I think it's a little bit too early for symptoms but I have felt the occasionally twinge down that way. Not sure if it's a good sign or I am just over analysing everything because I am so acutely aware of what may be happening. My boobs are also feeling a sore but the clinic nurse said that could just be due to the Progesterone pessaries. I had a BT this morning to check my Progesterone levels, still awaiting the results.
Sorry to hear you are struggling at the moment SonjaLousie. I am feeling reasonable calm at the moment, although I usually get more anxious the closer I get to BT day. I think it is rude that people keep asking you about the IVF. A lot of our friends know we are having difficulty TTC, but I haven't told them about the IVF. I have told some of my family members to back off..... I told them if I want to discuss it I will bring it up, otherwise I am just trying to forget about it so please don't bring it up.
I am not entirely sure who else is on the TWW or when your BT's are as it's not listed in your signature. I hope you are all well though and managing to keeping sane.

Hello all. Apologies for the lack of personals but just a quick one as I'm at work. I'm also not in the TWW but not sure where else to post this as I wanted some advice.
Just had my 9 day scan, and I've got a 14ml and two 11mls. That's much smaller than the first two rounds (first one got a 22 and 20, second got 16 and a 18 on a lower puregon dose). I've got to take more puregon and then scan again on weds. Is there a possibility that he'll cancel it? Will they grow? Is there a chance I'll ovulate before they get a chance to get big enough or if they aren't big enough do they just sit this one out?
sorry for all the questions, I am trying to convince myself that this is my month and am finding it hard that facts seem to be intruding on my optimism!
-
LM - sorry can't remember exactly what you're doing...is it another IUI but with some drugs?? when I did IUI I didn't have drugs, they just monitored when I'd O with scans....this is going back to beginning of year before 3 IVF's so memory is lacking!
My follies always required an extra few days of injections of gonal f during first 2 stim cycles to get them to the mature size rqd. They built that into this cycle. give the clinic a call and ask the nurses, that's what they're there for, to put our minds at rest;)
-
4 more sleeps sonialouise! How are you feeling? I know what you mean about the waiting! Everything leading up and during is busy busy - the injections, scans and bt's, then it's just waiting....I've been feeling a bit unsettled today, i can tell when somethings on my mind, as my jaw becomes quite tense and tightens up.
I agree with mitf about people asking how you're going... most of our family/friends know that we've been ttc, and since we've been married nearly 4 yrs, they've put 2 & 2 together and don't tend to quiz anymore, which is good! I'm happy to share with my mum and sister, as i know they keep things confidential, but DH is not allowed to tell his mum details, as my bossy SIL found out we were doing ivf, via the grapevine, which only could have come from DH's mum! Atleast i know she's praying for us! :)
I over - analyse too mitf, as you said, we are so aware of what may be happening, and any other time, we would not give a second thought to any tweaks or twinges etc.
Londonmiss i think any size from 12 up is still good, and given you have the two at 11, then fingers crossed your FS will try and grow them on for you. Goodluck hun :)
Well ladies, another day over, hope you've had a good one :)
-
ThereseP and Mitf thanks for your comments. I made a bit of a mistake with a couple of girls at work and telling them what was happening, but I couldn't see anyway around it because they had to cover for me at work when I had five days off. Next time I will have to come up with a lie.
LondonMiss-I am sorry that I can't really help you. I did one iui that didn't work. At the final scan three days before IUI my follies were 13 and 15. I think they were too low but they assured me it was fine.
AFM- I gave in and did a test this morning and I shouldn't have:doh: It was negative! but I am only nine days past ET, so I keep telling myself. I have been cramping quite a bit today and then had some bleeding. Sorry if this is TMI.It was only light streaks on the TP, almost pink and only once.
So I am hoping it is Implantation Bleeding. Does anybody know if you can get a BFP before an implantation Bleed?
I am so upset with myself, I wish I hadn't done the test and I knew I shouldn't have. As you say Theresp too many mind games.
I am off to bed I hope evryone is well. I am hoping I don't convince myself to do another test tomorrow:rolleyes:
-
Sorry for the me post.
Just a quick update I still have some bleeding, not a lot but enough for me to doubt very much that it is an implantation bleed :-(
I hoping that I may have two burrowing in so that would mean double the bleed wouldn't it? Don't you love how we justify things.
Cramping was very bad, and when I turned over last night I had a stabbing pain in my left side.
Has anyone else have or know of anyone that had an implantation bleed, if so could you please tell me what it was like.
I didn't do a test today, I was strong! (I think I just didnt want to see a negative result) If bleeding stops, I will do one tomorrow.
Have a good day today.
-
sonyalouise - I thought that the body started producing the pregnanc hormones after implantation? I wouldn't have thought you could get a BFP before. It does sound like implantation bleeding/cramping, so stay strong and resist the HPT for a few days. Will be thinking of you.
mitf and theresep - hope you're surviving the 2WW with as much sanity as you can muster! These last few days are just killing me, I so want it to be tomorrow already!!!
LondonMiss - sorry I can't help you, I haven't gone through IUI so not sure really how it all differs from IVF. Fingers crossed they grow nice and big before EPU.
Hello to anyone else in here I've missed! I'm a little out of sorts as i've only got one day to go...! I have POAS twice now and both times came back with two pink lines, so i've crossed fingers and praying like a mad woman that it's all okay tomorrow. DH and I have taken the day off, so hopefully it's a lovely day and we can enjoy some sunshine. Yeah right, i'm going to be a mess until I get the phonecall. And maybe afterwards...
Have a lovely day ladies,
lise xx
-
Hi Lise, thinking of you - the two lines sound promising!! Great idea to take the day off - i only work mon tues wed, so i'm really pleased my bt is on fri - don't have to have a tense day at work waiting for a phone call.
Sonialouise you must stay strong and resist the hpt!!! Its more money to drug companies when we've already spent so much doing the ivf, plus more silly bits of plastic that ends up in landfill :) Give the other ones to your DH and get him to hide them, so you won't fall for their trickery LOL!! Well, if nothing else, i hope i've given you a laugh this morning - lets hope that your bleed and cramping is implantation, and yes, i can imagine myself also reasoning that it must be the two eggs wriggling into position, hence the second round of bleed/cramping. Thinking of you:hug:
Forgot to tell you in my earlier post, that my et was a 5 day blasty on mon 12th Oct.
Have a great day everyone :confetti:
:stickyvibesgirl: :stickyvibesboy:
-
Lise - that sounds very positive - good luck! Let us know how you get on.
Nix - I can't add anything to what the ladies above said. Know that we all know what you are going through and hope you never have to again. Big hugs.
I don't know if any of you are religious, but I had to smile this morning when I was walking the hound at some distinctly un-Godly hour, and walked past the church near our house. They often have messages outside and sometimes they really leap at me (sometimes they are very dull I should add) and todays says that "For all those who worry, you need only remember - faith, hope and love". Quite!
......I have faith that I will get a BFP at some point, hope that it will happen before we are retired/ bankrupt and have lots of love for DH, the as yet unknown baby and the FS when I get pregnant :D
-
Lise - things are sounding very positive.... I am excited and hopeful that you will start off a string of BFPs in here. GL for tomorrow, I will be logging on constantly in anticipation of your news.
LondonMiss - sorry I can't really help you with your question. I had a couple of IUIs at the start of my AC TTC journey but I wasn't really paying attention to the number back then. I just took my clinics word that things were ok and on track. I like the notice at your local church... could be a good motto for all us worry worts in here. Although at the moment I'm not worrying too much, rather just have this underlying anxious feeling at times.... can't wait till this time next week.
Sonjalousie - Did you have 2 embies transferred? I am sorry to hear about your spotting. I had something similar happen to me on my last cycle 12 days post O. The spotting was light, like the end of a period. Then it stopped for a day and then came back the following day. It then gradually got heavier over a couple of days until AF arrived. I am not sure if the start of the spotting was the beginning of my problems, or I though maybe on day 12 it was implantation but the embie couldn't attach properly and on day 14 started to fail. Have you spoken to your clinic about it? I would suggest that it is worth seeing if you have a BHcG reading. I had a BT on day 13 and they picked up a very low BHcG (21 which didn't register on a HPT) - I hope my post hasn't sounded negative.... just trying to help with what might be a similar experience. :crossfingers: I truly hope that it is only an implantation bleed and things get stronger from here.
AFM - still getting my little tweaks and twinges, although I am wondering if it is just wishful thinking and all in my head.
mitf xo
-
LondonMiss - thanks for posting that quote. It's good to have something like that to fall back on in times of despair. I'll be writing it down for sure.
BT is tomorrow, so less than 24 hours to go now. I'm really not sure - POAS results are good, but i've had/got so much cramping that I just think it can't be normal so really not sure how tomorrow will go.
Anyway, hope everyone is well, i'm off for a nanna nap (I do so love my reduced hours at work!).
talk to you all tomorrow,
lise xx
-
Hi Ladies
I just read the post from Londonmiss and have never posted before. Just thought I'd tell you not to stress that things aren't going to plan. This cycle I had 2 scans and 5 BT to detemine when the transfer would happen. Like you I was worried that I'd ovulate before the transfer. Your body is just taking its time which may be a good thing. Good luck...I still have 10 days to wait
-
Londonmiss your quote from your local church brought a smile to me - i drive past my local church on my way to work, and often read the message - this week it is 'trust in God to guide you through new and unexpected situations'. I thought it was fitting to what is happening in my life at the moment! :)
sonialouise - how has your day been? Hope you have good news hun xx
mitf - i also get the random tweak/twinge, and from time to time, a feeling of light pressure in my very lower abdomen - this could also be my imagination, as any other time, i wouldn't even give it a second thought. It all really does your head in hey?
I've just got tomorrow to get through in re to work, then acupuncture on thursday - which will be interesting, as when i had a positive result in my previous FET, my acupuncture lady knew i was pregnant, but waited until the BT confirmed before she admitted that she knew already! They apparently detect changes in your pulse. I'm going to ask that she tells me her opinion straight away on Thursday, so hope its all good!
enjoy your evening xx
-
Hi girls,
Thank you for your words of encouragement.
Lise-That sounds very promising, I think you are looking good for tomorrow. Make sure you post your actual reading. I think they can tell if both embies implanted by the level.I think I got that right, you had two embies transferred didn't you?
Theresp- My problem is I have about 30 tests that were given to me by somebody who works at a doctors surgery! I should give them to DH but I will just end up bugging him until he gives in :-)
Mitf- Thank you for telling me your experience, I am thinking that I will end up experiencing something similar.
LondonMiss I liked your motto, it made me smile the way you applied it to your situation.
AFM- I am still having cramping and slight bleeding. I have almost admitted to myself that this one is not going to be the one. Someone said to me it could that one of the embies didn't develop so there still may be one that is holding on. I guess I will find out on Friday. For the two times I have been pregnant I knew the day before blood test because I was nauseas. I think I have been feeling a little nauseas in the last hour or so, but could be me imagining symptoms.
Hope everyone is having a lovely evening.
-
Oooh thanks for that tidbit of info Sonyalouise, I'll be sure to ask them. I was wondering if they'd be able to tell.
I have everything crossed for you that AF stays away xx
-
Hi Girls, few of you may have seen me post here a week ago and lurking, but as of today I'm officially in the TWW with you all X
It's the first time I have come to this forum in the TWW, but the IUI thread is very quiet so don't mind me dropping in......
Just one persie tonight, Londonmiss, do not give up hope. Let me tell you what I have just had happen.....
50iupuregon from day5
10day ultrasound, 5 eggs all 9mm.
14day anoth ultrasound 5 eggs 11mm (advised may be a cancelled cycle b/c no of eggs)
Had strong ovulation pain right side for 3 days...panic, for sure cancelled
17day anoth ultrasound only 2 eggs 13mm, worried where other 3 went. ?ovulated? Progestrone levels checked and still low, so continuing on with puregoon50iu. lost all hope.
day 22 ultrasound, today 25mm and 19mm egg. IUI done within hours, can't beleive I had an IUI on day 22 of a cycle. Dumbfounded actually.
So don't give up hope that your eggies aren't getting big like textbook cycle. Be patient, they will get there just a matter of time. My other 2 iui's were on day 14 and then day 17
Londonmiss I know exactly how you are feeling babe, it's our last iui too, so the pressures on and things don't work out exactly how we all want them. But we will get there.
FS says eggs wont spontaneously ovulate if they are immature, smaller than 17-19mm.
So I'm sending truckloads of babydust and growing dust your way. I wish you the best with this cycle hun X
Hi to everyone sorry I didn't do anymore hello's, baby dust and stickies to all, would love to get to know all of you and join you in the pregnancy thread very soon X
-
Murraycod (ps where does this name come from??) I bloody love you, you know that. Thank you for telling me that and keeping me sane.
Hubby is away for work and what with dramas with the dog (trapped herself ....I'll post in the pets section and now they've said they are going de-sex her.. oh the irony), and miniscule follicles, it's been a bit of a week. But hopefully tomorrow 9am we'll see big fat juicy follicles!
Let me know how you get on with your TWW murraycod, think you are two weeks ahead of me? Then we're into IVF.... are you nervous? Has anyone actually explained it to you yet? The medical profession seems incapable of explaining it in less than three ****ens length sentences.
-
that's hilarious, the system has blocked out my writing about the Victorian novelist CHARLES ****ENS!!!! it thinks I am writing about naughty bits!!!! that's so funny!!!
-
Morning Ladies,
Lise :goodluck: for today.... I hope your dreams come true.
Murraycod - welcome to the TWW. I hope you find success on your IUI and you don't have to worry about progression to IVF. Your cycle has been very long, maybe it's a sign of good things to come. Hopefully your body took a little longer to get into gear so it could get ready for the task ahead.
SonjaLouise - your welcome, I hope it was helpful. I understand how confusing the spotting thing can be. I hope you are right about the one little embie that is sticking. :goodluck: for Friday.
Theresep - I hadn't heard about acupuncturists been able to detect a pregnancy through your pulse. I have an appointment on Friday so will be interested to hear what she thinks. Hope the twinges aren't driving you crazy.
Terry - welcome. Is that a 10 day way till your IUI or 10 days to BT?
LondonMiss - any word on your IUI date?
AFM - I am feeling a bit down today. I didn't sleep well last night, woke up just before 6 and couldn't get back to sleep. I have a strong feeling that this is not going to be our month. I have had a few tingles but no cramping like I had on my failed chemical pregnancy. I haven't given up all hope but guess I am just prepared for a negative, I feel like I have this sixth sense about it. I might see if I can talk my clinic into bring my BT forward. If it's negative I would much rather know before the weekend.... ah the wonderful emontions of the TWW....
mitf xo
-
Morning Mitf
Sorry should have been more clear it's a 10 day wait for the BT 9 now..but who's counting . I had 1 emby transferred:pray:
-
Mitf thanks for the welcome x Youre doing so well, 1 week into 2WW has to be the hardest part, cuz you know if has actually worked, it has by now and every niggle gets thaught about and analysed. But if you don't feel a niggle, you worry and stress that it didn't work.
Giving you strenth darl, your almost there XXX
Sonyalouise praying you get your BFP the same day as Mitf. Hope you are feeling ok, and the spotting has settled to a stop.
Teresep tell me about it..............that Pregnyl is a Witch! You can't trust anything I tell you  Goodluck for Friday X 2 more sleeps.
Lise how are you feeling have you had BT yet??? Thinking of you today you must be a wreck of nerves and excitement!!! I hope you get the great news you so deserve X
Londonmiss!! Babes!! I have a BoofHead 2yr old Lab also, he's my baby.
I live on the Murray River between SHill and Mildura. I am totally addicted to fishing. MurrayCod to me is like SrDonald Bradman is to Cricket....Legends!
Yes I'm nervouse about heading to IVF, discreetly excited too. I only know bits that I have read in the broshure. TBH I am scared of the egg collection bit. Do they knock you out for it????
I really do hope that your scan went well thismorning, but please don't give up if it didn't.
Let me know how you wen't hun!!!!!
Me, 1 DPIUI, my god so long to go..........crampy but fine X
Take care everybody, sharing some fresh babydust to all XXX
-
Morning ladies. Well, a champion morning so far. I've got a 13ml (also ran) and a 19ml and a 20ml! Thunderbirds are go!Trigger tonight and IUI on Friday.
Hello all - sorry for a me post, my internet has been down all morning and must read through some work emails I suppose:rolleyes: hope you are all well
-
