From memory my period was due 14 days after my egg collection. My blood test was scheduled for Day 16...in our failed cycle, my period arrived on Day 14 ....and this time, with our lovely BFP, thankfully, no AF!...I hope that's the case for you

    Hi girls
Just a quick post from me, as my head is a bit screwed up. My BT resulted in a BFN. I'm ok now but have had a bad day.

Very disappointed, but have one frostie to try so will give it a while and try that.

Love to all, hang in there, we will get there!

Neptune - so sorry to hear about your BFN. DH and I were so upset when we got our first BFN, it was just such a horrible feeling. Sending you lots of good thoughts.

    Take care,
    LNB

    Hi Ladies,

I thought I'd join you in here as I'm officially in my TWW after my first IVF stim cycle with one fresh blastie transferred yesterday. We and our FS were suprised by my lack of eggs - ended up with only 5 eggs (4 mature, 3 fertilised, now 1 on board and MAYBE one in the freezer and one being disposed of) as I had 10 great follicles on EPU day. So we are faced with either this cycle working OR having to probably wait another 3 months and go straight into stim cycle again - hopefully getting more eggies this time!

Anyway, i'll be passing the two weeks with you until my POAS test on 30th Ocotber! Yay!
Best of luck to you all!

    Hi Ruth

Did you ask your FS why they didn't transfer that 2nd embryo as if it's so-so it has a better chance of making it as a fresh transfer than going through the freeze/thaw?

Also, why would you have to wait 3 months if this cycle doesn't work (I'm not an expert on the different types of cycles but 3 months sounds like a long wait). Of course, maybe you'll get great news and you won't need to worry about a 2nd cycle!

    Hi Ladies,

Firstly a delated thank you for your best wishes, will take them all on board and get set for a healthy pregnancy. I've had computer problems but have found a temp work around, couldn't wait to log back on to see how you were all faring.

Neptune, I am so sorry to hear that your result was BFN, must be tough even if you didn't believe the POAS result. FET's are much easier on the body than a stim cycle so wishing you the BFP you deserve next cycle.

MillyMoo, must be touch for you. I had heavy bleeding when I was 10wks preg with my DD and it was so stressful. Luckily turned out to be nothing other than hormonal bleeding but the wait to find out was tough. Hope you're doing ok.

Brooke, sorry if I missed someone elses reply to your questions and doubled up - cramping like AF is arriving was very much a part of my previous pregnancy and I did feel heaviness a couple of days before my BT to the point that I told my DH that AF was about to arrive. I remember with my DD feeling really ripped off about the whole crampiness feeling which lasted for about 10wks as I thought one of the extra bonuses was that no AF would arrive but instead I felt like she was constantly around - still, I won't complain!

AF will arrive at the end of your 2WW. In theory (but don't quote me on it as I'm sure I'm using the wrong words) the arrival of AF signals the start of a new cycle therefore a new egg which will be released when you ovulate, the 2WW starts when you ovulate (or a couple of days after depending on how many days old your embryo is).

At the end of the TWW (for most) you are either pregnant - and no AF or AF arrives to kick off the start of a new cycle. When you get your BFN you will approx 4 weeks pregnant 2 weeks after you ovulated/embryo transferred because pregnancy is considered to have started with the new cycle/egg. I hope that makes sense and is somewhat correct - pls anyone feel free to correct if I've got it wrong.

Best Wishes to all as your TWW continues

    MillieC
