Hi All,
Just checking in - Day 9 of TWW (which for me is three not two..how lucky am I?) Felt quite ill in the stomach most of yesterday. I have limited myself to one cup of coffee a day and I couldn't even drink that!
Feel much better today and am trying hard not to analyse every little thing that happens. It is so hard to know if it is remnants of my HCG booster, the Crinone gel or that maybe everything is working the way it should! Today is the last day of my beautiful north coast holiday so DH is taking me down to Byron Bay for the day. (we are staying on a farm up in the hinterland so a trip to town is a big thing!)
Claire Nat Lucia - welcome I hope your TWW ends with a BFP!
Rols, Em how are you both going?
Anyway..I hear the beach calling....
Oh and I have stilll not bought a HPT! So Proud!
Cheers and babydust!
Shel

Mel..I knew there was someone in the team missing.. hope to see your BFP soon!
Cheers

Hi Guys,
So glad I decided to take the plunge and join here! I don't know anyone else going thru IVF and I only told the people that had to be in the know about this transfer so it is really good to be able to talk to people who know exactly how it feels!!
I am OK today - My cramping has been slowing stopping since Tuesday morning and I am feeling much better, getting a grip back. I am still get twinges and I get little waves of nauseous but that could very well be nerves!!
I am trying not to focus on it, and just get on with things. I actually forget about it last night for a milli second and I honestly have no idea if its worked or not and just prepare myself for either or.
I hope everyone else is going well this morning!
-
How is everyone today?
I am on day 6 and all my symptoms are slowly going so I guess that's not a good sign. The cramping has almost stopped, and I get cold feeling across the top of my legs but I could be holding myself strangely and I do get waves of nausea and lightheadness but could very well be nerves. My boobs are bigger but they ain't hurting at all so who the bleep knows!
I won't be at all surprised if my periood comes next week - disappointed but no surprises. Just have to believe that there is a divine plan in everything.
Hope everyone else is well and good luck!
-
Lucia, I know what you mean. It's such a pain in the backside not knowing whether the funny feelings are pregnancy, drugs, nerves or something else.
Remember, you don't have to have symptoms to be pregnant. Don't give up.
-
It is a pain in the royal behind!!:wall:
I guess until next week there is always that hope. But I just don't know..........
-
Hi Guys
Lucia - I am currently Day 5 and my cramping has also nearly stopped so I am hopping that this is just the Crinone cream. My boobs are bigger and still sore but not as much as they use to. Is your test Wednesday?
I have been told to have 3L of water every day which is very hard as I don't manage to do much work as I am always running to the toilet (sorry TMI). Also been told to have protein drinks and eat plenty of foods with protein. The worst of all is I have to sleep elevated so I don't OHS as I had quite a few eggs out. (I am just a winger)
Rols, when do you and your DW go for your blood test?
At present I am trying to stay positive but also preparing myself for the next cycle. Our first IVF we did ICSI and this one we did IVF. So still a little confused
-
Good Luck Nat. Keep your fingers crossed !!
This tranfer was a natural one so I am not on anything - have nothing else but my body! I am beginning to wonder if the cramping was because of the transfer because it was slightly uncomfortable rather than meaning anything else and it has simply settled down now. I don't feel pregnant - my first transfer I just knew I was pregnant from about day 5 and I was - none of that this time. My blood test is actually next Friday but my period is due on Wed.
3L is alot of water!! I bet you are busting to go all the time! Who suggested that much water? Bananas are very good to eat too!
-
Hi Lucia
My fingers are crossed for you too!!! I love hearing when people get BFP's as you know how much happiness it brings and you hope one day that will be you
How did you know from your last transfer that you were pregnant?
Thanks for the tip with bananas, I will start having them too!. My doctor told me to have 3L to stop OHS.
-
Nat same deal with DW. She had 26 eggs and had to drink 3L a day, which was funny given she is 45kg and hasn't got much room for camel-like amounts of water. But, her levels were really high and they said the only reason she didn't end up with bad OHSS is because she stuck to the water regime religiously.
It's not nice I'm sure, but it is good for you in more ways that one.
...and BT is Tuesday.
-
Ah, so that is where the 3L of water comes from. Ohh that's alot of water!!
Don't know how I knew I was pregnant, just did. And then on day 5 - I saw my boobs in the mirror (I hadn't been taking much notice of them) and all the veins were so blue and that confirmed it for me.
I got pregnant when I was in my early 20's (m/c) and just knew then too.It seems to be this thing I have - I always know when someone around me is pregnant and usually I know who it is as well. Although I have gotten the person wrong once or twice but never the pregnancy.
It is hard to explain, I just get this feeling, it's like "Oh someone is UTD"
-
Hi Everyone
happymel - I'm happy to know that someone else is experiencing cramping with that cream. I am so over that cream too. I love your description of the crinone as it really does feel like a big tissue is up there :D. How long to your BT
Rols - Good Luck for Tuesday
-
Hi everyone (newbie)
Just had a cycle of IUI on day 21and going mad, which seems to be the norm. I had bloods on day19 and my progesterone level was 100 which is suppose to be great ( i ovulated yeah!) But i'd love to know anyone else got headaches, nausea, severe mood swings and ab cramps ??? Dont know if its the high hormone levels or thanks to the pregnyl shots? would love others feedback.
-
Hi Scooby
I had three IUI's and also took pregnyl.I don't remember having any symptoms at all but I also didn't fall pregnant from this so your signs could be a very good thing.
-
Hi Everyone
Hope you are all hanging in there during this 2WW.
I was wondering if anyone has had a Day 6 Blast transferred and had success?
-
Hi girls (and Rols!!), sorry havent written in here for a while, dont want to jinx myself!
Hi Nat, yeah the tissue thing- ha is what it really feels like sometimes! I could make better descriptions but i dont want to offend anyone hee hee!! This is my second day 5 transfer, and i had a FET also- and i think that ended up being day 6 which wasnt successful but i kinda had that feeling from the start. How are things going? I have only one more night of the cream so pretty happy with that. Im so over the cramping and the white stuff!! Just want to start being normal again. 40 something days on drugs yukko. Have my BT tomorrow. Have done a few HPT's and all have been positive. Did one on Tues, and i honestly expected it to be neg and was +. Last time i didnt get a + until well, it would have like been the Friday of the cycle (yest). DH thinks im having twins. Im not optomistic about anything, not after m/c last time. Just trying to take it all in my stride. If things dont work this time, then i will just keep trying for next time.
Hi Scoobie, not sure because i havent had pregnyl boosters! But good luck with everything, hope cycle goes well. We need lots of BFP's in here.
How are things going Lucia??
Hi to everyone else. Hope all is going well.
Yeah keep up the water guys, helps prevent constipation especially if on Crinone!! BLAAH!

-
Hi Happymel
How exciting that your having your BT tomorrow. Good Luck I hope you get that BFP. I can't wait to finish this cream. I have been told that if I am pregnant from this cycle then I have to keep continuing the crinone YUK! I really really want to do a HPT, as my BT is on Thursday. My husband doesn't really want me to as he thinks we will get a false reading. I still don't think we are pregnant as I still have little cramps every now and then.
-
Nat i am still having cramps too, just part and parcel of the crinone, so i dont think thats a bad sign at all. I did a HPT my first IVF cycle and was neg and i was so upset. It was on the Mon and due for bloods on the Fri. I rang the ivf girls, and one nurse (who i didnt know or really like...) said, oh sorry hun, then you prob arent pregnant. Which was prob the wrong thing to say. I was devastated and then on Wed i tested positive on HPT. I was so happy i cried. But this time is all different, so unsure of myself, even though testing positive. Mmm. Are you just on the crinone? I know some girls also have boosters but i never did. If you did a HPT just remember they arent always right, even if positive, and especially if negative!! Just remember though, the cramping is ok :D
Hi Vanessa, good luck. I dont have really sore BB but def bigger!! The waiting def sucks, but if its all good in the end, then its def worth it!!
-
hi all
figured it was about time i poked my nose back in here - i'm now two days post IUI and playing the waiting game again
i honestly don't know how this cycle is going to go - for some reason, i dont have the positive vibe i had last time around - just feeling very flat and tired (have a cold or something trying to kick in, so that might be my problem!)
my BT isn't til the 17th, so i have a lot more waiting to go - haven't really popped in much lately, but hoping to join in the chatting here!
good luck to those testing this week (fingers crossed for you!)

Hi Everyone
Well I caved yesterday and went and bought a HPT even though my BT wasn't until Thursday. Just as I was about to test I got bleeding. I couldn't believe it, I didn't even make it to my BT. I still did the test and it came back Negative. I now don't know what to do??? Do I continue with the crinone cream? What I also don't understand is why would the nurses test me five days after AF is due? My husband is trying to tell me maybe its normal you are bleeding and it may not be the end! Some how I don't think so as AF was due today. Anyone have any advice
happmel - how did you go with your BT?
-
Hi Nat
I saw your post so i thought i would just let you know of my experiences. My clinic purposely tests after AF is due so you have an idea already if it has worked or not. Both of my TWW's i never made it past day 28 of my cycle without AF rearing her ugly head. Im sorry this wont make you feel any better if it was a week day i would say call the clinic and get the nurses advice.
Hope your doing ok.
Shan
-
Nat - my clinic are much the same as Shannon's - we have a longer wait before BT (at least 17 days - anywhere up to 22) before BT - sorry to hear that things haven't gone well this cycle for you
-
Im so sorry Nat, its not fair. Is the bleeding really heavy? I think it would be good idea to call the clinic, if its not really heavy they may say to continue with the crinone. I wish things were diff for you. Im sorry :(
I got a BFP. I dont want to sound all excited Nat, im thinking of you right now. My last FET i got my period before it was due, that really upset me. I hope things are going to be ok.
BG- its great to see you back :) I hope the wait goes really fast and things turn out well this time.
Hi everyone else :)
-
Hi to Vanessa and Scooby and good luck.
BG, good to see you back here. I think it's to be expected that after your last cycle you wont be heading into this one with the same sense of buoyancy. A perfectly natural reaction.
Mel, looking forward to hearing your BT result.
Shelly, Lucia, Claire and Mo5, how are you all going?
Nat, I'd suggest you continue with the cream until you have the chance to speak with your nurse. From what I gather, light spotting and bleeding does occur early in some pregnancies and itsn't cause for concern. Obviously if the flow is heavy and dark, chances are you have AF. I can't really offer any advice with regard to the timing of your BT in relation to the due date of AF.
DW has had cramping/tightness similar to AF since yesterday, but not as intense as the real thing along with pain in her upper back, which is a bit weird. She also has had light spotting last night and today. Totally confused as to whether this is another symptom of pregnancy (which apparently it can be) or whether it's AF which the nurse said could possibly come tomorrow anyway. We've pretty much resigned ourselves to it being AF.
-
Well done Mel, that's awesome! Congrats to you and DH.
-
Thanks everyone. Clinic just phoned been told to keep taking Crinone and go in for bloods tomorrow. It is def AF, heavier today.
Congrats Mel that is fantastic! You should be excited as that's great news!!!
Rols - Good luck, I hope the spotting is just pregnancy symptoms.
-
Mel - that's fantastic I'm so happy for you.
Rols - hoping it's just light spotting and everything is okay.
Nat - It's not over til the big lady sings! I am praying everything is okay for you
Me well I caved into my HPT addiction and went and bought two packets (4 tests) this morning. Surprised I lasted that long actually. Did a test today and Nuthin! Naddah! Zip!
So I know that HCG booster shot is out of my system, but it is 13 days past EPU and 11 days past ET and I thought it might have started to show up if i was pregnant. Implantation should occur around 6 days after fertilization (Or so I've read - doesn't the internet just make us all experts!)
I'm not entirely sure when AF is due - (I know that sounds dumb) I usually have a 24-28 day cycle so do I count 28 days from last AF (which would be last Wednesday - only 9 days after fertilisation) or should it be around 14 days after fertilisation, which would make it tomorrow.
Has anyone else had anything similar and got a BFP? BT is not for another 8 days as Westmead wait to test, until we are off the Crinone Gel as that helps keep AF away as well.
Sticky Vibes and Babydust everybody.
Cheers
Shelly
-
Well we are out of the running. BFN on POAS and strong AF cramps - same as she gets on a normal cycle. No actual AF yet though.
-
so sorry to hear that rols
-
Im really sorry Rols- to you and DW. I hope its just cramping and that's all.
-
Woohoo thats awesome news Mel you must be over the moon.
-
Yes we both are, but very very nervous. I dont know what to do now! I dont think i will really be happy and be ok until seeing that heartbeat (heee or heartbeats!!). Thanks for your thoughts Mumof5. How are things going for you??
Mel
-
Oh Mel i so hope you get TWO cause that would be awesome.
Me well i keep getting AF pains so i guess it wont be far away. We went out for a family fathers day dinner tonight. Robs sister who i HATE with a passion pipes up and says she 6 weeks preg. I told her 9 weeks ago we were doing IVF so it didn't take her long to take over the show. It was a big mistake she said and i haven't had a period since i stopped breast feeding 3 months ago.Don't you have to get a period to Ovulate??? She has two boys under two. You see in Robs family there are no girls at all except her. So the spotlight has been on her her hole life so i guess she was worried someone else might get a little bit of it and not her. I guess she might have been worried that i might just fall pregnant and maybe get a girl and she would be the first one to get the girl. I had to sit there all night trying to hold back the tears while they all sat there and talking about it and laughed. I'm happy for them but they could have at least waited till i had my BT on the 12th cause they all knew when it was. Then she starts asking me if i was pregnant now how far along would i be. My god she just has no brain and if she had one she would be dangerous. Sorry for rambling im just angry and upset.
Rols- dont give up hope mate it might be nothing.
-
Congrats to HappyMel!!!!!!
Fingers crossed Rols and Nat!! How is everything?
As for me - I have no idea.....
Keeping everything crossed for everyone!!!
-
Hi all,
One week til BT now.... the wait is killing me. Took another HPT this morning (see once I start I can't stop) technically I am 14 days DPO (EPU for me) so I would think that a HPT that picks up HCG of 10 would have shown up as positive if I was pregnant...still got a negative though so maybe I should just prepare myself. I finish the Crinone today so maybe that is all that is keeping AF away. We will find out in the next couple of days I guess. I do hear stories of women who don't get positive HPT's for 2 or 3 weeks after AF is late but still have successful pregnancies...maybe there is a glimmer of hope for me yet. It's just so hard to stay positive.
Anyway...Hope things are going better for everyone else today
Cheers

Hey Shell im so hearing you darl. Its so hard
-
Hi everyone
So sorry to hear about the insensitive family mother of 5, i dont get it, you can understand one little slip up, but when they go on and on!!!! I have to say this is my third cycle and one was cancelled due to overstimulation, but the waits are killer espicially with all these hormones flowing through your body. I read your stories and i think you should all be so proud, it take so much strength and dedication to continue treatments, it shows true character and i know we will all get there in the end
Happy Mel big congrats, that is awesome, stay positive.;)
Well i have 5 days till BT but i had my last prgnyl shot on sat so i dont think i'll be able to home test as it wont be out of my system, so the wait is on.
To everyone who is spotting and cramping, i had that with my last pregnancy as well as hematoma's and went on to have a bouncing baby boy (who's now 4) so keep your chin up, you never know:dance:
-
Thanks Scooby- it is so very hard and its only my first cycle. Look at all the other couples that are on there 8th go, so i shouldn't winge cause i have no right. I should be thankful for what i have.5 days to go woohoo lucky you.Good luck i hope you get a BFP
-
Hello everyone!
I'm a long time BB reader, but don't post much. Here I sit in the 2WW, I never actually thought I'd get this far! Hubby had a PESA same day as my egg retrieval last week, as he had a vasectomy in 2002, AND had chemo last year. Well, he had so many swimmers! 22 eggs retrieved, 12 fertilised, I had a 2 day embie transferred on Saturday and 8 frozen. My transferred embie had 4 cells, I thought it would have more. I didn't even ask why they didn't go to blast - my clinic is very busy, and personalised care is out the window.
This is my first (hopefully last) IVF. I feel so free from all the stims and sniffing - but am going crazy, madly googling implantation, statistics, etc!!
Anyway, just saying hi. Good luck to everyone in the 2WW!
