Hi everyone, I am reposting, the first didn't work.
I have been wanting to post for a while about this, I would have loved for it to have been after a BFP, but still working on that one.
During my endless Googling, I read about Mayan abdominal massage, mostly by done by women in the US. Some of the stats say that women have experienced up to a 40% success rate in conceiving following treatment, equivalent to IVF. I recently searched for a practitioner here in Australia and found a lady by the name of Andrea Lopez, she works out of Sydney and her company is Mayan Healing. From my basic understanding of this type of treatment "Maya Abdominal is founded on the ancient Mayan technique of abdominal massage which is an external non invasive manipulation that repositions internal organs that have shifted, thereby restricting the flow of blood, lymph, nerve and chi." Aims to ensure all reproductive organs are in alignment. This was important to me as I have a slightly tilted to the left cervix, so I knew I needed work.
I believe in fate, after contacting her by email asking if there were any practitioners in Queensland, she mentioned that she may be up in Noosa for a few days in a couple of months time, doing treatments there. I am on the Gold Coast, so a good 3 1/2 hours drive away. Later that week she called me back to say she would be in Noosa 3 weeks later. I made my appointment, and dragged poor DH all the way up there, not really sure exactly what it was all about.
I have to say that, apart from the Mayan abdominal work, Andrea was the best massage therapist I have ever had. The treatment went for 3 hours, the first hour or so concentrating on the abdominal area, the rest of the time the entire body. I am quite spiritual, and really felt that she brought this component into the treatment. I left feeling amazing, and have continued to feel so with the self care instructions she gave me. This as a wonderful experience, and I think really helped me on my way to understanding and being in touch with my body, and has taken me to the next step in my TTC journey.
This post is just to share, if you ever get the chance to try this treatment, don't hesitate. And I will be sure to post my success, hopefully soon. If anyone in Sydney wants her phone number, feel free to PM me.
Thanks for the information Babydreamtime..
I hope it works wonders for you this cycle and I think we need all the help we can get on this journey.. Take care sweet..
