Question NEED HELP :Acupuncture during IVF TWW

Ok well im half way through my TWW and starting to get abit stressed about things..... i must say GOOGLE is not my friend ..... anyway i've been googling all morning lol trying to figure out if doing Acupunture helps during the tww... I started AP after my first unsuccessful IVF cycle in May this year... i had ap the day before ET and the day of ET (after transfer) so im just wondering if its worth going in today????

I know there is a few girls on here who have got BFP's and using AP just wondering if u used ap during your TTW

    Thanks in advance

Lots of people do AP during their TWW. It might help you relax and feel fresh and revived.

    Hi Nikki,

I only had AP the day before transfer and the day after and nothing during TWW. I did however take special herbs as instructed by my acupuncturist.

    Hope this helps

    Good luck and lots of

I had been having acupuncture every saturday since January and my IVF cycle started in June. I had AP the night before ET and then 3 hours after (and it just so happened that ET was a saturday) and then continued AP weekly through the 2ww. If nothing else, it kept me sane because she treated my anxiety too but I got my BFP from that so I say do it.

The 2ww is the hardest part of the whole IVF cycle in my opinion and anything that you can do to keep you calm and relaxed can only be a good thing.

    Good luck

    :yeahthat:

I've done pretty much what Sue has done - AP before ET, one the day or a few days after ET, and then I go once more in the middle of the TWW. Actually, I'm going tomorrow, 12dpo.

I find it relaxing regardless of whether I end up with a BFN (which I have so far, obviously). But I don't think any Acupuncturist would do a treatment on you if they thought it could do any harm, whether you're UTD or not.

GL with the rest of the TWW. I'm with you...going crazy.

I wasn't doing IVF this cycle, but I had my weekly acu appointment as normal during the 2ww and just got a surprise BFP. We started acupuncture 2 months ago to prepare for IVF#4...

Hi, I did AP pretty much weekly for about 2.5 years, 1 year of TTC naturally with TCM, and 1.5 whilst doing IVF. It did relax me and make me feel like I was doing everything I could, though it didn't make a difference. For my successful, it was the only time I didn't do AP on the day of transfer, but the day after. I do think it is worth while but not the total solution. GL
