Naturopath Visit today

Hi Everyone,

I seen a naturopath today who gave me polyfem, Ovarianne & Menstrocare.

I have to take the polyfem as required 3-4 times a day, then for the first 2 weeks I have to take Ovarianne 2 tablets twice a day & 2 capsules of Menstrocare twice a day.

Has anyone else been on these supplements?

How did they affect you? What changes good or bad happened?

Do you think these supplements helped you conceive??

Any info or stories & advice would be appreciated TIA

I have visited a natural path and she also gave me to take menstrocare, 2 in the morning and 2 at night for 2 to 3 months, i also am taking metamorfin tabs from the doc's and she said to continue to take them, so far i haven't experienced anything bad, i had my Af's visit last month, which i am irregular and i dont see them at least 5-6mths , so i hope the herbs are working !!.


As for the other ones you have mentioned i am not sure about them, try and search on the net, i am sure there's plenty of information and what the side effects could be if any.

And also i have read and heard that acupuncture helps aswell, thats my next mission heheh !!! best of luck, helen

I have tried googling the tabs but only my posts come up then there are the sites that are advertising it, telling you what it does, lol I just would like to know if it works, and what exactly it does lol might have to try different combinations of the words lol DP and I have both been tested and basically we're labeled as infertile because everything is in working order, apparently ... but we haven't been able to conceive yet the specialist told us that ivf was really our only option

I was on Polyfem when we were ttc. I had irregular AF and diagnosed polycysts on my ovaries (not PCOS). The Polyfem regulated my AF and hormone levels, although I was also on Chaste Tree for the same thing.

I've had great results from my naturopathic remedies. We actually were treated for male-factor infertility so ended up with IVF, but my DH's sperm was improved with herbal treatment.

There is a Naturopath on the BB Professional Support Panel who might be able to help.

I was on Ovarianne but none of the others ring a bell. I conceived my DD after seeing a Naturopath. I was taking other supplements at the time, so couldn't say exactly what affected what - sorry

Thanks girls, I am just sort of curious now, cos AF is like clockwork, as is ovulation. I have an appointment in around 2 weeks again, so I might ask him to clarify just what they are supposed to do. The only thing i can remember is him saying its for uterine, ovary's, pms support. When he done the iridology, there was something about my left ovary, maybe that's why. This month though, I've had alot more cramping and pain, but its tolerable.

Chaste tree (agnus vitex castus) has done wonders for regulating my ovulation/cycles.

Naturopaths are fantastic!

Thats the thing that confuses me - my cycle is txtbook, every 28 days, I ovulate every month on day 12/13 and Im just not sure what these meds are for lol perhaps just extra support?

And can i just say - the ACNE is AWFUL!!!!! man i'm talkin BUM ACNE WTF? seriously, i have broken out (6 zits on my face and to me thats a break out!!) I sometimes get the occasional one around AF time, but man, BUM ACNE!!! ....

I'm now on the menstrocare & polyfem for the next 2 weeks.

**UPDATE**

I had my 2nd naturopath appointment this afternoon, apparently I was taking my supps wrong BAHAHAHAHAHAHA not that it matters! LOL

He put DP on more zinc supps, and a mens multi & mineral supp to replace the menvit he gave me a womens vital multi to replace the elevit.

So, now I have to keep track of my mucus :rollseyes: I really dont get that much around ovulation. Perhaps that is the problem??

Anyways, looks like fun times ahead lol ...

If you think you might have CM issues.. I would try " PRESEED" its fantastic I used it with DD to help my CM supply and it was fab.. you can buy online.. PM me if you want

thanks didi, we've got some in the cupboard :-) guess preseed might become our new bestie! Lol . . I've heard it help's, that's why we bought it, but we've not had luck yet :-(

oh, I also forgot to add that if we dont conceive this month next month will be the liquids ...

I SO hope I dont have to take those disgusting liquids!! LOL Its bad enough with the tablets!
