I haven't posted for ages but thought someone here might be able to help me.
I just finished an anatognist cycle and had 2 fresh embryos put back.
I got what I assumed was my period last Thursday and thought that was it. I had my blood test on Monday and heard on Wednesday that i had a reading of 147. The nurse explained that an embryo had probably implanted but did not stick. I thought that this would explain my heavier period and bad pains. I had another test today and the level has now gone up slight to 169. The nurse said it could be 3 things or do 3 things.
1. It will eventually go down and i will possibly get another period
2. It might rise slowly which could indicate an ectopic pregnancy
3. It might rise dramatically which could mean a possible pregnancy. ( i'm seriously not even considering this due to the slow rise so far)
I'm just wondering if anyone has had this happen and if so what was the outcome. At the moment i'm having some cramping and slight slight slight staining every now and then. I'm a little over it all and kind of want some answers!!
can anyone please help!
thanks
Maybe the period was a really big implantation bleed?
This actually has just happened to my friend (who is not on IVF) They were trying, she got her period (or so she thought) and then started to get morning sickness etc. She went for a test and she was pregnant! The bleed was just some random cleaning out or else a late implantation that took some old blood out with it. Something along those lines anyway, so it does happen.
Also her bloods were very low but went shooting up after a few weeks.
I had a D and C late August after a loss at 8.5 weeks (trisomy). I fell pregnanct immediately to my shock. However I didnt realise. I started to bleed day 27 after the D and C and went into the iVf clinic to get my jabs for a new cycle. They rang that arvo and told me not to start them b/c I was pregnanct. I had another test 2 days later which confirmed rising levels.
I bled for 5 days, then the bleeding intensified very dramatically. I had another BT which confirmed that I had lost my pregnancy. But, yes the first 5 days was exactly like a normal period in terms of volume etc, and that was when my pregnancy was still hanging in there.
